Once Double D was down, Hammy started walking towards the woods.

"My friend, she'll help you out. She said she'll meet us at the castle on the outskirts of the city. Let's go." he said. "She was the one who told me about you too... told me about how you'd become an angel. Everyone's talking about it, of course, but I've been away, so I didn't hear about until today. Once I heard about you, I decided I had to do something. I didn't want the Island's big damn hero to end up like me, y'know?"

All of this was a sack of lies.

"A warning, huh?" Eddy sighed in exasperation. "Great. That's never a good sign."

"I have a feeling we'll be wrapped up in yet another struggle to protect him." Skywise didn't know how right he was.

...oh dear... everyone? A bad feeling brewed in Double D's gut. He had hoped to keep his new identity secret to the general public, but if the news had spread so quickly, he guessed it was too late for that.

But maybe this was a good thing. Someone could help him discover for certain what was happening to him. Encouraged, he followed Hammy, unaware of his true intentions.

He was trusting to a fault.

Masahiro and Felix sat down in their respective places for a while, but then... a mental message that came in to everyone sounded.

Come to the castle in the woods now. Come to the castle in the woods now!

"Shinichi?" Felix asked.

"What could he want?" Masahiro growled.

They've taken Edward! They're going to kill him! HURRY!

"WHAT?!" Masahiro shouted.

Felix immediately threw the door open and found Double D missing. "He's gone... EDWARD'S GONE!"

"THEN WHAT THE HELL ARE WE WAITING FOR?!" Masahiro yelled back in response and threw the window open. "TAKE FLIGHT! NOW!" With that, the two angels immediately jumped out the window and spread their wings before flying off towards the forest.

This time brother... I'll slay you for your foolishness. Masahiro's thoughts played that as they made for the woods.

"What!?"

"Whoa!" Raz cringed, rubbing his head. "I hear it too!" After concentrating, he gasped. "Oh crap! Someone took Double D!"

"NO!"

Perceval stood anxiously. Past the language barrier, he knew his Guardian Angel was in trouble. He was quick to act, leaping after Masahiro and landing on his back as they flew into the woods.

"WHAT the hell is going on!?!" Eddy demanded, freaking out.

"Shinichi said someone's going to kill him!" Raz replied qucikly, heading for the door. "They're at the castle in the woods!"

Ed breifly stopped short, remembering his own adventure in that dreaded place. "...Nida..."

"...Ed? You alright?" Skywise asked as he mounted Starjumper.

The oaf shook his head, lowering his goggles and heading for the window. "Y-yeah! Come on!!" he cried, leaping out the window and following the angels. Eddy had already grabbed Raz and bolted out the door, and Fleetfoot handed Marion to Nazz before turning to Otto, Wally, Courage, Helga, and 4.

"Guess Sky was right," he noted. "Let's go."

Wally was near panicking when he heard this, but he was quickly on his feet. "Double D... GONE?!? Oh crud!!"

Otto was on his feet next, quickly assessing the situation. What could have taken him? While he loved a challenge, a training mission could be made a lot less hazardous when a friend wasn't in trouble during so. "Great, just great..." He quickly took a sniff, and noticed some kind of evil energy gathering somewhere... Evil energy on many accounts. "Come on Wally, we better go with them."

"Yah, think?" Wally couldn't even force a grin, the situation seemed too dire too.

Helga was instantly on her feet, "I'll go with you two as well!"

However she was instantly pushed back onto the couch by Otto. "NO Helga. Something tells me this job will be very dangerous."

"But-"

"No buts Helga." Wally was in full agreement with Otto, picking up Courage. "I got a bad feeling about all of this." He looked down to Courage, petting him a little. "Courage, I've got a job for ya." He gave Courage a serious look. "Look, we have to go somewhere to help a friend; and I need you to protect Helga okay?" If Courage was giving the boy a concerned look, he smiled comfortingly. "Don't ya worry boy, we'll be back. I promise ya that."

Courage thought this over, figuring that he'd do more good staying here and watching over the others. Despite the danger he had often been in, he knew a battleground was not his place.

So he nodded, hopping out of Wally's arms and hurrying over to Helga, nuzzling her leg.

Helga looked down at the little pink dog, before picking him up. "Good dog." She smiled, before turning back to where Otto and Wally walked out the door.
