Wolt smiled in the darkness.
"It's... complicated, I guess." His eyes scanned the beautiful ceiling. "We grew up together like brothers, but I work for him as his retainer now." The archer's smile faltered a bit, but was back in commission when he turned his face towards Pit. "I won't bore you. Though, you kind of remind me of him..."
At that he squeezed the Angel's hand again, in a way that was supposed to seem friendly, but...
"Now let's see what's down this tunnel, eh?"

As they continued on, all was silent...
At least until a bright light caught Marco's attention. "What the kupo?" Coming closer to it, covering his eyes, he became aware of the light seeming brighter the closer he got. Finally, he had the common sense to turn off his miner light...
Instantly the light, and the brightness in the room died down.
"My miner light reflected off something kupo." With a cautious reach, he tapped the light back on being careful to aim it elsewhere, though still looking in the same general direction...
Marco was pleased to find what appeared to be a type of crystal sitting before him. "Kupo, kupo... So pretty..." He continued to approach it...
Before he finally realized that it wasn't just one shard of crystal...
It was just the only crystal he could see through the opening, that almost looked like a door. "Whooooooaaa...." Everyone was possibly blown away with what they saw.
It wasn't just one Crystal... It was an entire room FULL of crystals, some covering the walls like they were the wall itself, the crystals looked a very high quality too... ... ... ... ...
... .. ... ... .... ... ... ... ... ... ...
"OH YES!!!! Kupo kupo kupo!!! There's enough treasure in here I can get those gems for my friends rings, and get rich off the rest! Holy kupo!!! I wonder how much these are worth!" He wasn't the greedy kind of course, that Marco, but seeing all these gemstones, one could understand his excitement.

"Really...?" For some reason that he couldn't explain, Pit felt pleased by Wolt's comparison. Maybe that meant he could feel more comfortable around the angel...
He saw Marco's discovery next. "Mm. Impressive." He paused. "...you work on excavating those, Marco. Wolt and I will... look around and see if we can find anymore patches of it."

Wolt caught his breathe and tore his eyes away from the unbelievable sight.
"R-right," he agree excitedly. He'd never seen so many crystals in his life.

Pit smiled, pleased, and gently led Wolt away. He lifted the rings on his arm, providing his own light, the light he was planning to use in the first place before Marco appeared. He pretended to look for crystals; no sense in grabbing Wolt too suddenly and scaring him.
"My... crystals or not, this place is still quite beautiful."

"Erm, yeah..." Wolt said distractedly. Though, he considered, the glowing, seemingly floating rings shouldn't shock him so much. The boy who was leading him by the hand had wings on his back. Working wings. It left the archer wonder exactly what Pit could actually do, besides fly and shoot glowing arrows and...
Wolt felt a headache coming on.

Subtly, he clenched at Wolt's hand a little more firmly. When he felt a little braver, he leaned gently on his shoulder, admiring more than just their surroundings.

BUUUUT, putting that aside for one quick post...
Marco ran around the place examining all of the crystals that littered the place. "Kupo-kupo! Yeah! This will all work kupo!" He dusted a finger against a nearby crystal before knocking on it. Solid as a rock... Not for long though.
Reaching into his pack, the moogle pulled out a pick-axe, and immediately went to work.

Wolt attempted to ignore how touchy-feely his companion was getting ('idonotlikeboysidonotlikeboysidonot[/u]like--'[/i]) and tried to focus on other things. Like crystals. And ponies. Ponies like Sue's horse. Sue's evil evil horse.
Yes, this was going swimmingly.

Pit sensed that he was making Wolt uncomfortable. Gently, he drew back, a little disappointed. But the last thing he wanted to do was hurt the archer.
He instead took to watch Marco pick away at the wall, waiting for Wolt to say something to break this awkward silence.
