Ginko wasn't in much better condition than Yusuke. Unlike the human, she wasn't used to this kind of fighting. All the millenia she'd lived, she had never had the crap beaten out of her so throughly. So Yusuke's questions pretty much went one ear and out the other. If they even got in her ear the first place.
Her thoughts were focused on the sword. What the hell had that sword been doing there? It was still stuck in the demon's back. Somehow she didn't feel it was.. well... polite to leave it there. Not to the demon, he could run around with a sword stuck up his bum for all she cared. No, to the sword itself. As if it needed to be given credit.
This was all crazy thoughts, of course, but she still pulled the sword out. It came out far easier than it should have. She rolled to the side, in so much pain the little bit of extra caused by the shattered arm not mattering much. After rolling a few feet from the demon's body, she was looking into the sky.
"Urameshi...kun?"
The change of honorific said volumes.

It was a happy moment for all involved. Yusuke noticed the change in honorifics, but was honestly too dazed and shocked to respond. Also in pain. A lot of pain.
He was about to try to force himself to his feet to check on the Yokai, but... he heard a voice. A chuckling voice. The voice of Hi'ar Pue'rtagero... only a bit more human.
"Aww, so sweet. They've fought together and now the shapeshifter feels the need to call the boy by a different honorific. But still not by his first name. Such a sob story." He chuckled, making his way over to Yusuke. His wounds had nearly DISAPPEARED. but at the very least, he was in human form.
"You surprised me back there, boy. Forcing me to have to enter the human body." Demon Hi'ar was, apparently, still the dominant mind.
"And the girl saving your life with the sword... that desssserves an applausssse." Hi'ar continued to mock the boy, walking towards him. Yusuke couldn't fight if he WANTED to.
"So what now, child? What brilliant plans, what amazing movesss will you pull up to defeat me NOW? Or are you drained?" Yusuke twitched a bit as Hi'ar was finally no more than two feet away from him.
"Oh, no. Don't be afraid, boy. I'm not going to kill you. But I'm going to make you watch me kill her." Hi'ar noted, turning around. The staff that accompanied his human form was in his hands. The orb was facing the the Yokai. It was charging with an odd dark energy.
"No..." Yusuke called out, trying to force himself up.
"What's the matter, child? Can't protect the one that SAVED YOUR LIFE? You really are an ungrateful little brat, aren't you?" Hi'ar mocked.
"No... you... YOU BASTARD." Suddenly he was at his feet again. Suddenly he had a Rei Gun charging up. Suddenly the beam left his finger. It was the STRONGEST one he could remember firing, other than the first one... which had missed.
But not this one. It hit it's mark, dead on. It felt as if he was being ripped apart... but then he was gone, having teleported. But not his voice... it remained to mock.
"Heh heh heh. Did you HONESTLY think I'd let myself be destroyed? No, no. I'll face you again after absorbing the power of a boy. A boy by the name of Jimmy. And then you, the girl, the entire MULTIVERSE, will be destroyed. Have a nice day, child. For it may be your last."
Yusuke fell to his knees this time. He was exhausted. But there was one thought that forced itself to the surface of his mind, gathered his attention... besides how much the sword was unsettling him.
"Ginger... are you... okay?" And then the world went black.

(OOC: Yeah, I'll introduce Suzu soon. But I wanted to post my response now. XD Besides, if I can have Suzu climbing out of his seal when Yusuke wakes up, it'll be more fun. XD)
Ginko would have cussed had she had the energy. She had used all of her strength. Heck, she was having to work to hear the words the demon was saying. But she heard his threat to kill her in front of Urameshi crystal clear. Almost as if he had been aiming it at her more than the teen.
She heard a sound she hadn't expected, however. Someone getting up? Right after Urameshi had called the demon a bastard. Surely not coincidence? And there was that annoying voice again. Gloating. But it was the kind of taunt someone trying to sound brave would give. Someone who had wet their pants and was hiding to conceal the fact.
She heard Yusuke ask if she was okay. And then a thunk. The sound of someone hitting the ground.
"Urameshi-kun? Urameshi... Yusuke?"
No response. His life presence was still there, he wasn't dead. But it was more than a little weak. Damn she hurt like hell but at least she was conscious.
It took effort, but she managed to sit up. Lord her head hurt. And if she stayed like this any longer, she'd pass out as well. So she reverted to her true form. She grabbed the hilt of the sword with her teeth. It tasted... off. She couldn't put her word on it. But something kept nagging at her, telling her she had to protect the damn thing.
She hopped over to Yusuke the way any three legged animal would. He looked like he was asleep. If he wasn't bruised and bloody she would have said he was. Dammit, she had used all her powers in that fight. She couldn't heal him.
"Urameshi-kun...."
He was alive. She looked back where she had last seen the demon. If it came back while they were like this, they'd be toast. But she couldn't scream for help either. And her low spirit energy meant she missed that the place she had drawn the sword from was gathering energy. Something was going to wake up there in the next day or so and she couldn't feel it.
"Urameshi-kun, I swear if you don't wake up I'll kill you myself!"
Way to keep your cool... she scowled to herself. Well, she couldn't exactly leave him here... she lay down, positioning her tails as a blanket. At least she could prevent him from freezing to death. But she felt like an idiot. He had asked her why she had saved him. She honestly had no answer. She had excuses, but none of them satisfied her.
Maybe I'm really just that curious... she sighed and layed her head down. Without meaning to she fell asleep within minutes.

In his sleeping-yet-not-sleeping state, he heard a voice. It sounded oddly... familiar. Not to mention what it spoke. 'if you don't wake up, I swear I'll kill you myself!' sounded very, VERY familiar.
"...Keiko? No, no... too NICE for Keiko. Not to mention she and I are on a first name basis... Kurama? No... he's not THAT effeminate. Kuwabara...? GAH, NO." Yusuke thought to himself. All he knew was that he was under a blanket, and had heard a voice a bit earlier. He opened his eyes slowly. Odd... he didn't remember having a blue-ish blanket...
"...Yokai? GAAAAH." Yusuke awoke with a start, leaping from under the, oddly warm, tail-blanket.
"Haven't you ever heard of personal space?!" Yusuke inched back. He'd actually fallen over backwards. Bad idea to leap from the ground after being seriously injured...
...though he wouldn't be Yusuke Urameshi if he DIDN'T.

Ginger started awake as well as her not wanting to move body could. She slowly turned to see Yusuke freaking. She didn't have the energy to glare, and was actually a bit taken aback herself. How much in the way of reserves did this guy have!?
And then he fell backwards. Maybe he wasn't as strong as he thought. Not that the beating he had taken made him fit any definition of weak unless you were living in opposite land.
She slowly stood up, but it hurt. Her fore left leg was still badly broken. She looked at the sword by her side. There was an energy about it... not really negative, but not positive either. And her respect for it remained. What she wouldn't give for a prehensile tail right now. The hilt just tasted so off...
She didn't look like she was capable of going very far before collapsing, "Haven't you heard of hypothermia?" She knew it sounded lame after coming out of her mouth. But she was too tired for a good comeback.

"Yeah, I've heard of hypothermia Miss Smartass. Didn't think a spirit guide would have, though. Lord knows Botan doesn't seem to..." Yusuke trailed off, getting back to his feet. He was EXTREMELY sore, but... that guy was no Toguro.
"Oh, and... thank you." Yusuke coughed a bit. He wasn't exactly familiar with thanking someone... not even Keiko, really. And this is even AFTER she had a large part in reviving him.
"Hey, uh... what's with the sword? It's not even RUSTED... you gonna destroy that thing or should I?" Yusuke winded his fist up similar to how Jin had during the Dark Tournament...
...and then proceeded to make himself dizzy and fall over again.

This guy is incorrigable! At least he's "polite" enough to say thanks...
Ginger looked down at the sword when she heard Yusuke fall down. She looked at him and paused. He really was hurt, even if he was too stupid to admit it.
"I think it would be disrespectful to cause it harm..." she said, hoping Urameshi wouldn't ask why. She honestly didn't know herself, but it was like there was some importance to the blade she couldn't put her finger on.
It had basically been responsible for saving their butts, but she didn't think that was it.

"Riiiight. So next you're going to tell me the thing's 'alive' and inhabited by the spirit of my old foes, right?" Yusuke asked skeptically, getting to his feet YET AGAIN. He wasn't a fan of laying down in a cemetery... it was too similar to his body laying in that coffin a while ago.
"Don't go all Kuwabara on me. 'URAMESHI, MY SWORD JUST SAVED OUR LIVES, NOW LET'S BE ALL RESPECTFUL TO IT BECAUSE IT TOTALLY ISN'T JUST HOW I INCARNATE MY REI ENERGY'." Yusuke commented, making a face veeeeeery similar to Kuwabara's.
"Can't you just PICK one of my friends to remind me of and STICK WITH THEM?" Yusuke asked, scowl forming on his face.

Alive?
"I wasn't saying that! And why would it have the spirit of an enemy of yours in it? Do you recognize it? And did you just say you had a friend that could make a sword out of spirit energy?"
This human was getting more interesting by the second. She suddenly had the desire to meet his friends. If this "Kuwabara" annoyed Urameshi that much, she wanted to meet him. After observing the teen, she had concluded that he only got aggravated by people that could put up a good fight.
Hey, its not her fault she didn't know the two teens had been at each others throats for dominance since they'd met...

"Yeah, Kuwabara's only way to express his spiritual powers is through forming a sword from them. Also detecting bad guys, I guess. But he's pretty much the weakest one of us. And this is AFTER training with Kurama." Yusuke responded, turning his nose up a tad at the mention of Kuwabara.
"Also have a friend... well, I know a guy that can make a dragon from his spiritual energy. Not that friendly, though. Especially with the shining example I present." Yusuke stated, a smirk forming on his face.
Because everyone knows Yusuke's sooooo friendly.

"I'd rather have a sword than a spirit dragon," said Ginger, not realizing that said spirit dragon summoner would have been an even match for her swordplay if he wasn't able to practically break the speed of sound. With that skill, said summoner would have been able to trump her.
The rest of Yusuke's conversation seemed to bounce off her. She looked behind her, "But I still say we need to leave."
If Yusuke and Ginger weren't so damn exhausted, they probably would have sensed the swirling spirit energy over the grave Ginger had pulled the sword from. As it were, they wouldn't. And not just because the character that's connected to isn't active. Not at all.

"Oh, come on. I just defeated Mr. Evil-Demon-Man-Thing back there. What's the WORSE that could happen? Although, if we DO leave... you're not bringing the sword, are you?" Yusuke winced a bit. He had problems with possibly possessed swords.
"Because if you are, and it turns out that I'm right, I'm going to gloat about it." His smirk was replaced with an almost DEVILISH grin.

"Yes I'm taking the sword," Ginger said as she carefully picked up the blade by its hilt. One of these days she was going to identify that... taste.
And you'll find a way to gloat even if you're wrong. You aren't fooling anyone, Ginger's thoughts paused, And I'm not sure you're wrong. There is definently something to this blade. I sense at least one element related power...
She hopped around in the manner of a three legged dog. At least with her spirit energy at below zero, she'd just look like a shiny Ninetales. Not that it wouldn't attract attention, but it was better than a shiny Ninetales with glowy orbs above its tails. Then again, she looked quite the demon in that form to anyone who didn't know Pokemon and in Yusuke's world would have incited quite the mass panic.
She turned her head to make sure Urameshi was with her. She couldn't talk with her mouth full of sword hilt.

"Tsk. Do you even know where you're going?" Yusuke grumbled, walking next to the shiny ninetails. It should be noted that he wasn't complaining about leadership, for once.
"And don't get me wrong, Ginger... Yokai, but are you SURE you should be carrying a sword with your... lack of fourth leg? I mean, I can carry the damn thing if you need me to." Yusuke recovered quickly from his Freudian slip.
Couldn't actually be NICE, now could he?

Ginger paused. He had a point, although she didn't appreciate being prodded about her obvious injury. She placed the sword on the ground.
"Out of the cemetary, beyond that who knows. Do you know your way around here?" she paused and looked at the sword, "Just don't hurt it."
Yeah, like the sword totally had feelings. Then again, what neither of them realized was that it was slightly sentient. It would allow Yusuke to pick it up if it sensed no ill will towards it. Otherwise... well, it would zap him much.
