Crystal Lake...
This natural landmark was known to all on Dimensional Island as a frozen tundra, and a pretty much an inhospitable place. Despite this however, people came to this place every once in a while to ice-skate, fish in the ice, and generally see what it was like to live like eskimos.
This night however was cold, it didn't seem to likely anyone would come out here now. In the sky, the stars twinkled beautifully due to this place being quite a bit away from civilization. Crystal lake reflected the light off the stars. In the middle of the sky, Polaris, the north star, twinkled serenely as the night went on, several little stars near her feet.
At first, all was calm... ... ...
If one had a telescope however, they'd immediately find something quite a bit off happening.
In the middle of the sky, one of the stars at Polaris' feet seemed to vibrate ever so slightly. The star continued to vibrate ever so slightly before it's movements became much more apparent...
And by apparent I mean it rocked back and forth, one could see it without a telescope. In a final moment one might consider worrying, the star suddenly left it's original place entirely, becoming a falling star in almost a blink of an eye.
And in another blink...
CRAAAAAAAASH!!!!!!! SPLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A HUGE projectile, having shot at mach-10 speeds from space crashed into the ice, before it could sink into the water, the lake froze almost instantly all around it, catching the meteor and freezing it.
For a little while, nothing appeared to happen, the meteor sitting among the ice, dull, unmoving, nothing entirely too special.

The falling star had hurtled towards Earth with such speed and such power that it had ripped a hole in the dimensional wall of more dimensions than one could count. However, it had only opened to the void and logic would have stated nothing would have fallen through. But an occurance outside of common logic had occured in one world, an alien had died and had reacted with such rage that its powr source had been hurtled through the dimensional barrier, into the void... and out of already sealing rip.
A young woman of twenty years on the generous outside was flung out of the tear. The spacial distortions allowed her to float from the rip and land safely on the ice, as a feather would fall from the sky. She was roughly five feet from the meteor.
Her clothes looked to be silk but seemed much warmer, despite being torn and tattered in several places. They resembled a ragged blanket but the violet fabric was in fact a robe as worn by the people of her homeland.
Her hair concealed her face. It was long and the beautiful sky blue of a crisp and clear winter day. Her skin was pale, as if she had grown up in a world of little sun. Her only movement was the rising and falling of her chest. She was alive and breathing. But in the weather, on the cold ice with several areas of skin exposed due to the condition of her clothes... it was possible hypothermia could set in and kill her before she ever woke up.

Despite the new visitor out cold on the ice, everything remained perfectly still...
Silence reigned for a minute or two... ... ...
... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...
... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...
... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...
Until... ... ...
FLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A bright flash emmited from the meteor, shining almost as bright as the sun. An even more amazing sight was that a pure white light suddenly appeared, phasing out of the meteor. The White light took a small shape before it suddenly dulled away.
In it's place, there appeared a young boy sitting on top of the meteor, knees up to his face, with his head lowered, and arms hugging those knees...
Suddenly, the arms moved, slowly putting themselves on the ground to either side of the figure.
With delicate movements, the arms pushed the figure up, slowly helping the legs push up an almost pre-teen torso. When the figure finally stood it held up it's hands to it's face...
It's eyes opened revealing yellow almost neon colored eyes.
Kosumu looked at his hands a few seconds, practicing light finger movements, and balling his hand into a fist, as if getting used to the ability to do so. With that done, he looked around, beholding the wide landscape...
"Wally?... ... ... ... Otto? ... ... ..."
With that said, he jumped off the meteor, and took in the rock frozen in the ice, with a sad smile, he recognized it. "Home..." And he gave the iced up rock a small hug...
After a second, he pulled away and turned to look around...
His face took on a curious look when he saw the young girl on the ground.

The young woman showed no signs of moving. She was out, for lack of a better word, cold. A cool wind blew by, pushing the hair out of her face. Her eyes twitched, an indication of the rapid eye movements that caused dreams. It was possible she was simply asleep.
Her face was turning red from the cold. For those with no understanding of human biology, this meant very little. But it was in fact an indication that she was not built for this kind of weather... indeed, no human was.
But she looked like a kind person, even in her unconscious dreaming state.

The cold wind helped Kosumu realize that it was otherwise very VERY cold out in this land. Since all he wore was a pale green martial arts ghi and baggy pants, he immediately felt the chill, and shivered. "C-c-c-cold..." He shivered.
He looked back to the girl a while, his arms crossed in an effort to keep warm...
There was no mistaking it, this land was inhospitable, and thus it became not in his best interests to stay... But he couldn't just leave the girl here... ... ...
An idea suddenly came into his head, as he turned back to the meteor that was once a star, and once Kosumu's home. With a sigh, he closed his eyes a few seconds... ...
Before opening them once more, revealing his eyes glowing pure white...
Crrrrrraaack...
SPLASH!!!!!!!!!!!
Before anyone knew what happened, the meteor, suddenly veiled by an aura the same color as the glow in Kosumu eyes, suddenly lifted out of the water. One of Kosumu's latent abilities was to move around his home with his mind, he'd need to take it with him if he were to return to the sky. His mind working in over time, he turned to the girl, thinking a bit, she'd need to stay warm, he noted.
Snapping his fingers, he walked over to the girl, his wide glowing eyes taking her in... After a second, he put his hands under the girl, and lifted her up. Increased strength was one of his abilities as well, but it tended to work very briefly, and this girl was a bit heavy. Once he picked her up, a rush of energy came to the boy, and he lifted into the air, the energy both allowing him to fly, and carry the girl.
While in the air, Kosumu looked down on her briefly before looking around; he needed to find someplace warm until the sun rose, then he could find a good place to hide his meteor home until he came back for it.
His eyes caught on a cave that rested among the rocks of a nearby cliff.
A good a place as any, he supposed.

The energy reached to depths of the girl long forgotten. She was aware, but her body would not respond. And aware wasn't quite the right word. More of a subconscious awareness than a conscious one. Her mind wasn't putting things together well, actually.
Her conscious mind began surfacing as the boy began flying towards the caves. She murmured a bit and her eyes fluttered open. She didn't move a bit, and it could have been passed off as sleeptalk. She looked down without moving her head. She was in the air? This didn't cause her to panic, only to wonder... well, about everything.
Something was holding her. She fidgeted slightly, trying to get a look at whatever it was. Her mind was still quite clouded, the only clear thoughts being where she was. It wasn't even clear enough for her to form understandable words. Just more of a mumbling noise. Even then one could tell her voice was gentle, and even a bit regal. Imagine what she'd sound like if she actually spoke...

Kosumu briefly heard the mumbles, but didn't look down to see what was up. His mother always said to keep your eyes on the air in front of him when he flew, and mama didn't raise no fool.
Still it would be a rather odd sight for anyone that just happened to look out their window, seeing a two skinny shadows and a hunk of rock flying through the air above Crystal lake.
Finally Kosumu reached the cave, and gently landed inside, the meteor tried to follow but it couldn't fit through the small opening. Kosumu mentally cursed, but he had other things to worry about at the moment.
Keeping the meteor where it was with his mind, he wandered into the cave a little deeper, until he found a round room like area inside the cave. This would be good was his thoughts as he walked around, looking the cave up and down.
Kosumu thought a moment, "Ah!" An idea had come as to how they would stay warm.
Setting down the girl on the cold rock floor possibly increased her shivers, but Kosumu was a step ahead of that. He took off his jacket, leaving the boy bare-chested and shivering, laying it over the girl, the warmth immediately helping a little. "Work time." Kosumu said as he sat down on the cold rock floor, lowering his form onto the ground, and laying down on it...
"Star-light... Mother... Grant me Star-light... Grant me Star Warmth... Keep us warm mother..."
In an unbelievable display, Kosumu's body started to glow as if it was a star itself, lighting the room, and warming it ever so slightly, and gently. With this done, Kosumu smiled as he fell asleep comfortably.

The girl's mind finally settled into some kind of coherence upon hearing the boy... pray? Cast a spell? Somehow she knew what both of those were. But she didn't know why... she leaned up and was surprised to see a jacket covering her. Whose? She looked towards where she saw a star like flickering, and immediately had to shield her eyes. It was bright.
As her eyes adjusted, she realized whe was in a cave of some sort. It seemed familiar somehow. Not exact, but there was some part of her memory it brushed against. Memory? What memory? She looked down at her tattered clothes and a sort of realization dawned on her. She had no idea who she was...
The cave was covered in moss. Something nagged at her, telling her that was part of why it made her nostalgic. Her eyes had adjusted and she looked towards the boy. He did look like a boy, but was sound asleep. The glow that had seemed so bright at first was now soothing and gentle. Like moonlight... no, not quite. But close.
She wasn't tired. She felt wide awake. She wondered about the boy. Did he know her? Was he her brother? Did she have a brother? Did she have parents? Beings could be born without parents, right? She shook her head. Trying to formulate thoughts hurt her head. But she couldn't sleep.
"If I may bother you..." she said softly.
Her words were very polite. If she had been speaking in the language of a culture with varying levels of speech, it would have been of the highest order. The way a noble or member of the royal court would speak. She didn't know this, of course, it just seemed the way she should talk. She was actually surprised she could talk... she had no idea of anything. She was alive... but beyond that...

... ... ... ... ...
Kosumu slowly awoke, hearing a voice. Rubbing his eyes, he looked down on himself; he knew he was still glowing, his mother always listened to his prayers. After a second, he sat up trying to figure out who had spoke. As he did this, he closed his eyes a second.
In that moment of concentration, the glow that had become part of him slowly exited out, until he was holding the ball of energy in his hands, the rest of his body returning to normal brightness. With a small movement, he gripped and the energy ball before placing it on the ground next to him, he could still use it to light the cave and keep it warm.
With that done, he looked around the cave, curiously looking for the source of the regal and kind voice that had spoke...
Until his eyes fell on the young girl he had rescued.
"Who... are you?" He lifted to his feet, and approached. Once close enough, he leaned forward taking the girl in. "You know... Wally... Or Otto?"

The girl watched with keen interest as the boy drew the glow out of himself and set it on the ground. It was like a miniature star, and quite beautiful. She turned back to the boy as he walked towards her. He didn't know her? Then why had he rescued her? She looked down in her lap for a second. Wally and Otto? Those names meant absolutely nothing to her.
"I wish I could give you the answer you seek, but I do not know any by those names. I... I was hoping you would know I am. If you do not know me, then why have you rescued me?" The girl looked around eighteen, but she also looked a little scared. What if this boy didn't know who he was? "I can not remember anything..."

This appeared to confuse Kosumu...
This girl... ... Didn't know who she was? What did that mean?
He was downcast that she didn't know Wally or Otto, but the situation that was facing him became more important instantly. He sat down. "Save... Because... You cold..." His response was simple, it probably sounded broken, but Kosumu could've answered in complete sentences if he wanted. He just preferred it this way. He brought a hand to his chest, looking like a child that had just discovered something sparkly in the ground. "Kosumu." The girl possibly looked confused, but the boy did it again, this time putting both hands to his chest. "Ko-su-mu... My name."
Perhaps the fact that she couldn't remember anything didn't fully sink in, or it didn't make much sense to him, because he pointed at the girl, looking curious. "Your Name?"

The girl blinked. The boy had broken speech, like a little child just learning to speak. How did she know that? Was it connected to the cave. She gently nodded as he introduced himself. She could have told him he didn't need to repeat himself, but she didn't want to hurt his feelings.
"Kosumu? I'm..." Who? Who am I? I should know... shouldn't I? The girl shook her head, "I have no idea. I am unable to draw out any memories," she wasn't sure she had them, "I am very grateful for your help, Kosumu. I only wish I could repay you, if only by telling you my name..."
In all honesty, the young woman didn't even know if she had a name. That seemed rather silly. Everyone had a name. Right? She grabbed the jacket and offered it back to the child, "Am I correct in assuming this is yours? Thank you very much, but I think I am more used to this weather than you are."
But why do I think that? Do I come from a place like this?

"No... Name?"
This appeared to confuse the boy, even as he took his jacket back. Slipping it on, and buttoning it up, he looked at the girl curiously. "You have... ... No name?"
'Well that simply won't do at all!' He thought a moment, he couldn't just call her 'Lady' all the time... ...
... ... ... Wait... Lady? He thought a moment...
He turned back to the girl, smiling a little bit... "Want name?"

The young woman returned the smile. Something about this boy warmed her heart. She nodded, "It would seem silly to not have a name..."
She felt bad at the same time she felt warmed. This boy was doing so much for her without a clue as to who she was. What if she was a killer? With no memories, she could have been anything. Pain flitted across her eyes, but she maintained her smile. It was gone rather quickly.
"Did you have something in mind?"

"Uh-huh!" Kosumu responded cutely, as he leaned back, seeming pleased at himself for his cleverness. He put a hand on her shoulder "Like 'Fujin'?"
All was silent for a moment... "Means woman... Japanese." He responded rather awkwardly. He'll admit, he had used his booksmarts rather lamely here; had he more time to think of it, he could've come up with a DOZEN better names then that. "Is... Bad?"
