Fujin wasn't sure about his ability to carry her. There was, after all, a height difference. But this was not the time to go changing her mind. She nodded and got positioned on Kosumu. This felt mildly embarassing.
"I think I am ready..." she said. Her voice showed her complete lack of confidence in the situation. She wasn't directing it at Kosumu, just the situation itself, but it was entirely possible to misinterpert.

Kosumu honestly couldn't blame her for feeling lack of confidence whether at him or the situation; he was still very much doubting he'd be able to fly for very long anyways...
'Note to self;' Kosumu thought, 'Work on upper body strength.'
With that Kosumu lifted off the ground.
Fujin was understandibly heavy, and Kosumu felt the weight... But he still had lot's of energy to spare, so it really didn't matter too much. "Hang on."
That was the last thing said before he started flying in a general east direction, his belly to the ground, back to the sky, and face forward, arms keeping a firm grip on Fujin. Kosumu was going understandibly fast but still not as fast as he could go. Given the extra cargo, doing that would probably endanger her to slipping off his back, and he wouldn't have that. "Be there... Before too long." He wasn't tired yet, so weariness didn't show in his voice.
So far so good.

It was probably a good thing for Kosumu that Fujin was actually pretty spritely, at least for her apparent age and height. She didn't seem to bothered by riding on his back as he flew through the sky. Well, not as much as one might expect a person to be. It was a little frightening, but she could tell the boy had a good grip on her.
"Are you quite certain you will be all right? I mean, I am not frightened but I do not wish you to over exert yourself," she said. He seemed fine enough, but she wondered if he wasn't putting on airs for her. She desperately hoped her took her question as concern, and not doubt.
And saying she was not frightened was not the total truth, but she would have never admitted that. Even to herself.
