Eddy stared gapingly between Virgil and Senor Diablo before clutching his head in agony. "GAAAGHH!! If I don't get to punch SOMEONE for all this, I'M GONNA GO FREAKIN' CRAZY!!!"
Felix was quick in pace, so Double Donly caught a hint of what was still happening. He heard their names... from the stranger, no less. Glancing past Felix's arm, he spotted Aqualad looking just as confused as he was.
No surprise.

"Way to prove my point, Eddy." Senor Diablo mocked as he hoisted the pathetic figure of Shapeless onto his shoulder. "Don't worry-- I've been fighting against the Wizard for a long time. He should send somebody new after you; possibly an alternate universe version of this guy."
He patted Shapeless on the back just for emphasis.
"You can punch them, though I suppose it would be a bit like self-punishment..." Senor Diablo grinned at his cryptid warning.

Vergil shrugged. "I already have a mirror image I can punch on, though he doesn't act like my mirror self. I don't need another one." With that, he turned to leave.
Felix noticed Aqualad call them, weird considering he never got their names, and he grimaced. "Should we go back or fly away?" he asked.

Eddy grumbled and groaned, crossing his arms and pouting. Maybe punching things wouldn't solve much of anything. "...whatever."
Double D hesitated, then finally, "...he... seems to mean well... we should... see what he wants."

"Just this old goat." Senor Diablo answered. "He's got about a week at the most, and the things he's done have earned him a special place down below. No need for you to be concerned, really."

Aqualad walked to them. "I'm not sure how I knew. I just knew. Anyway could you guys help me? I just woke up here and my chest has been glowing and you guys just... seem like good people."

At Shapeless' destruction, Otto could do only one thing... Twitch an eye before turning away. "Well... ... There's something I could've lived my ENTIRE LIFE without seeing..."

If Aqualad turned to Otto concerning this topic, he merely shook his head, "Hey don't look at me, kid. I don't know anything about that."
Upon saying that, he lifted up his hand and took a long hard look at it; it appeared to be shaking from how much energy he had used to become that horrible monster he became... ...
Or... Was he trembling at the power he had in that form? It was hard to tell. "I don't know about you Double D... But I'm gonna go get Wally and tell him to move his butt..." He shook his head. "We're gonna go see Gantz... I have a few questions, that, something tells me, only HE can answer." Looking to the boy, he gave him a concerned look, "Will you be okay?"
[Double D can tell the two to wait for him before going to see Gantz, so the continuity between this thread and the 'Grief of Mr. Gun' thread's continuity remains in check, NN1.]

After hearing everything, it was some time before Double D said anything. Wordlessly, he gave Felix physical hints to put him down, and was slowly placed on his feet. Even so, he firmly held Felix's hand in his, as if his lover had become his lifeline, that he would collapse without him.
Letting out a quivering sigh, he turned to the others.
"I... I'll figure this out... somehow..." He clinged lightly to Felix. "I... I have loved ones to lean on.
"However... I'd appreciate it if you'd wait." When confusion crossed their faces, he sought to explain. "So much has happened... we all need our rest..." Briefly, he looked up right at them, eyes slightly hollowed from his sadness. "...and I promised you I'd see you through finding Gantz and facing Him. I'm not about to go back on that promise."
Finally, he turned to Aqualad. "As for you... I'm not entirely sure what your story is... but if need a place to stay... I suppose we can direct you to the hotel... I'd offer to let you stay with us, but... right now isn't the best time......"

Aqualad nodded "I've noticed" He was still confused about knowing their names. He smiled as he walked to them. "Thanks. for helping me."
