K1 smiled. "I'm from Japan--"
At that moment, the Hotel definitely was acting weird, and K1 found himself suddenly two floors above where he had been before. "What the--" He looked around at everything around him. He had definitely been on the first floor before, and now it was the third floor, judging by a nearby map. Which in itself was strange. What kind of hotel had to make a map?!

Yuugi saw K1 vanish as the "-on" part of nihon just escaped his lips. The next thing he knew, he was in a storage room. Well, falling down in a storage room, as the hotel had materialized him a few inches off the floor. He crashed into the cleaning supplies.
Atem felt the surge of energy and by the time Yuugi got up, he wasn't the dominant personality anymore. Atem looked around. Spacial distortions, huh? He reached for the door and pushed it open, stepping out into a vacant hallway.
"Where's K1!?"
With what appeared to be no one there to listen, Atem felt safe in responding to Yuugi out loud, "Probably jutted to another part of the hotel. I guess now is as good a time as any to try this."
Atem pulled open his cards pouch. He didn't feel safe laying them out like a game with the possibility of them vanishing before his eyes, but he could at least do something resembling the game. He pulled the cards out, shuffled them, and placed them back in the pouch. He drew five cards.
This is gonna hurt...
Atem held up a card and felt as if something has smacked into him as it vanished and a skeleton like creature wearing a cape appeared. He fell to his knees as if something had hit him with extreme force. A surge of energy shot out of the cards in his pouch and a man dressed in an odd looking purple getup floated out from behind the curtain as it vanished.
The man rushed over to Atem, "Pharoah, Are you alright!?"
Atem pushed himself to his feet. Sure enough, the more sentient cards could talk. And if his memories were any indication, this wasn't just a card, it was one of his high priests, Mahado, "I need you to use your magic to find the teen Yuugi was just talking to."
The purple-clad man turned around, "This area is hard to pinpoint, but I'll do my best."
The man chanted and the area around them wavered. If it was successful they'd appear right in front of K1. If not, they'd probably end up in some random location in the hotel.
(OOC: Okay, Atem used the spell card "Curtain of Black Magic/Dark Magic Curtain" to summon Black Magician/Dark Magician". However, the card requires a payment of half the user's life points, and in this case it mean Atem got a really severe whack upside the head with magic. And due to events in Ancient Egypt, when Black Magicial materializes it is High Priest Mahado's soul.)

Thankfully, the spell did work. K1 was still wandering through the hallways, trying to find a staircase, when Yuugi appeared in front of him, which scared the bejeebers out of the teen.
"Jesus Christ, that scared me--! Wait, when did you get taller?" K1 asked. Before, he had towered over the teen, but now Yuugi seemed a lot taller. Of course, this was because K1 had no idea about Atem.

(OOC: The "taller" is more of an illusion created by Atem's confidence. Technically they are the same height. Its' the only way I can explain no one going "Jeez, instant growth spurt!" when around Atem if they know Yuugi. XD)
"Pharoah, behind you!" said Black Magician.
Atem whirled around. It had worked, thankfully. He rushed over to K1's side. It was almost as if Yuugi's personality had gone night and day. The amount of confidence "Yuugi" now possessed was a little initmidating, especially in comparison. His eyes seemed sharper to. The Black Magician floated after Atem, who still had four cards in his hand.
"Are you alright?" It wasn't overly polite or carefully chosen. And his voice seemed deeper.
Then there was the matter the "person" behind him had called him "Pharoah", the same one that was following him.

K1 raised an eyebrow at the sudden wizard following Yuugi, and at the fact that it seemed to have appeared out of nowhere, and teleported Yuugi there.
Must be a demon... he decided. "Yeah, I'm fine. Jeez, this hotel is weird, though." He looked at the Black Magician again. "You didn't tell me you had a COMP, though."

"A what?"
"Pharoah, I don't know what he means, but I think he is referring to me." said the Black Magician.
Atem nodded, "He's a trusted friend." said Atem, gesturing to the Black Magician.
The Black Magician seemed taken aback, but recovered quickly and nodded and smiled. Atem looked at his cards for a moment before putting his arm down. With no immediate danger, the equivalent of forefeiting a turn was not a problem. He wasn't going to "surrender" until he was sure the danger was over.
If K1 was paying attention to the hand, it was apparent Atem was holding them in a way so that K1 couldn't see them.

K1 looked down at Atem's hand, and saw he was trying to hide something. "You don't have to hide it, I've got one too."
He pulled what looked like a blue DS out of his back pants pocket, though instead of the DS logo on the top, there was the Communication Player logo. "A lot of people have them. I didn't think you had one of the modded ones, though. I thought everyone who had one was trapped in the lockdown." K1 said. Despite everything, he certainly seemed to get a bit chattier when COMPs were involved.

Atem was throughly confused at this point, a state he did not like being in.
"I think he thinks Black Magician is a computer program," Yuugi said. Both the Black Magician and Atem could hear him, but not K1.
Atem figured it was fine to leave it at that, especially if K1 wasn't going to question the whole "Pharoah" bit. He put the cards together, but kept them in a way that the backs remained all that K1 could see. He drew another card. Six cards now, he would have to do something with them soon or he'd have to choose one to have vanish from his hands the next "turn".
"Is there anything we should be concerned about?" asked Atem.
"The energy still seems to be fluctuating here. You might want to move." said Black Magician.

"I'm agreeing with him," K1 said, and started walking again.
The Black Magician was certainly a new one to him. He'd never seen it on "dBay" (the demon auction site he could access through his COMP), so it must have been a Unique Demon. It didn't seem like something out of any kind of myth, either. So what was it?
After walking for a couple more minutes, K1 could say that he was thoroughly lost.

I'm not sending a card to the graveyard for nothing. I would be a waste...
Atem drew another card from his pouch. He hoped this wouldn't blow his cover, but he held up a card with the front facing forward. There wasn't much time to read it before it vanished, but the kanji at the top read, "Hikari no GofĂ» Ken" or "Sealing Swords of Light"
Three beams shot out from where the card vanished and K1 could see that three tall swords appeared around Atem and the nearby Black Magician. However, due to the effect of the card, any monsters or spirits in the general area would also become visible... And if K1 tried to touch Atem now, the swords' energy would deflect him.
(OOC: The card is known as "Swords of Revealing Light" in English. Zero "turns" have passed since their summoning. Three must pass (a "turn" is roughly a pair of posts, one by you and one by me, although depending on what happens in a turn it can be fudged a bit. This is what I get for using the cards in a non duel setting. XD
Oh, and none of the possibly revealed spirits/monsters can harm Atem while they are active, either. However, stray magic CAN.)

K1 barely had time to read the kanji for "Hikari" before the swords of light appeared. He stared at the swords and then at Atem.
"Any particular reason your demon just summoned a bunch of swords of light? You're not going to try to kill me, are you?" K1 asked. The Sealing Swords of Light were apparently having an effect on K1's COMP, though, as it spontaneously summoned a small blue and white, snowman-esque demon.
"Huh? I didn't summon you, Jack Frost." K1 said.
"Hee-ho! I don't know how I got out of there either, ho!" The demon said.
((The demon is Jack Frost, a common demon from the Shin Megami Tensei games and the company's mascot too. It uses ice skills and can heal.))

Atem was mildy surprised at the appearance of the monster, but he quickly realized it must have been hidden. The way K1 was talking to it revealed it belonged to him. How had he missed that?
Black Magician looked at the "Jack" for a while and turned to Atem, "He doesn't appear to be made of ka... and he-"
Atem held up his finger. He knew what Black Magician was trying to say. That K1 thought he had summoned the swords. The arrival of Jack Frost had forced Atem to reassess the situation. K1 had powers of his own.
"It's a protection spell. It's probaby what caused your servant to appear. It..." Atem paused. Saying "flip" wasnt the right word, "It reveals any hidden monsters and protects me for a limited time."
Atem had not lied. He had not said Black Magician had summoned the spell, nor had he denied it. He drew a card and nodded to himself. He could risk letting one go to the graveyard without it being in too much danger. He held up a card, this one using kana that read "Guremurin". It vanished with no effect.
(OOC: Guremurin is kana for Gremlin. The English card is Feral Imp.)

K1 looked at the swords, and then at Jack Frost, and nodded. That made sense.
"But if only Jack Frost came out, then..." He pulled out his COMP and scrolled to the demon storage screen. There was only one demon there, and that was Jack Frost.
"Augh! Are you kidding me!?" K1 yelled, likely disturbing anyone nearby. "It took me forever to gather up all of those demons... great." He let out a sigh and looked at Atem. "You sure like card games."

"The spell shouldn't have sent any of your monsters the grave..."
If Atem had been the panicking type, he sould have clamped his hands over his mouth. But what was said was said and he was sure he was going to have to explain about the "grave" line.
But it was true. Sealing Swords of Light should not have sent any monsters to the grave(yard) and sending Gremlin would have not had that effect either. As for the card game comment, Atem chose to not answer. He was going to have to explain Duel Monsters soon.
He drew another card and held up another card. It was different than usual in that the back was all that K1 or Jack could see. It vanished, and a "presence" appeared next to Atem, but nothing was visible.
(OOC: Atem "set" a card, its in defense position as is required. You could argue that Jack has a power that forces it to "flip" and reveal itself. If he does, its Holy Elf/Mystical Elf.)

"'Grave?'" K1 raised an eyebrow, but didn't inquire any further. "If I'd have to guess, perhaps most demons can't travel in between more than one dimension or something. They're already travelling to Earth from the Underworld, they probably can't go any further than that..."
He was curious about how "Yuugi" kept holding up cards before they suddenly vanished. If Atsuro or Midori were here, they'd probably have an idea what "Yuugi" was doing, especially Midori, since she was into that kind of stuff. He grinned to himself at the thought of Midori, the crazy otaku girl who thought that getting a COMP made her a magical girl. She was the wrong type of genre savvy.
((OOC: NO I AM NOT MAKING THAT LAST PART UP. She seriously thinks that because she gets a demon summoning COMP, she can use it to become a demon summoning Magical Girl and use it to fight crime, namely, evil demons. D: ))
