Yuugi looked some mix of startled and worried, "Wait, you mean he really has control over you? That's terrible! I thought he was... well, being figurative or something!" He paused. He'd actually flown right over Minato's offer with his concern. Although that wasn't the only reason for his pause.
"You're right. But terrible is too soft a word," Atem scowled, "No one has any right to play with the soul of another... figuratively or literally."
Yuugi knew what Atem was referencing, and gave a very firm mental nod. Back during the the tournament Pegasus had held, one of the Player Killers had posed as Kaiba's ghost. It was before he and his other self had started talking to each other, and before Yuugi had really accepted Atem's presence. They knew of each other, but it was... well, tricky to define their relationship. There was also the numerous instances of soul trapping pulled during their time together.
"Isn't there anything you can do about that? And... please, don't beat anyone up for me... I don't want to be responsible for that kind of violence..." Yuugi trailed off.

"... It's not that bad. Though he does hold a little control over me, I usually get to do whatever I want," Minato explained. "It's like he can control me, but he can't control me... It's complicated to explain."

Chibiusa was having a bit of trouble keeping up with Midori as the older looking girl made her way towards the Apartment Complex. She looked behind her for a moment and managed to run into the back of the cosplaying girl, who had stopped short.
Why had she stopped short? Well, it was entirely possible due to the shift in "Yuugi's" stance. As Atem, known to many fans as "Mou Hitori no Yuugi/The Other Yuugi" had just expressed himself. He was standing with crossed arms and shaking his head, "I still don't approve. But as my partner said, don't manipulate the connection in the opposite way. We'll figure something out for room arrangements. Neither of us want you to use him any more than we want him to use you,"
Of course, it had somehow gone over both Yuugi's heads that the way Atem had expressed himself in the past, and even recently in forcing Yuugi into the puzzle to protect him... well, that was its own form of soul manipulation, in a way.
Atem heard the sound of footsteps behind him and quickly turned, his hand reaching for his deck before realizing it was Midori and... a girl Yuugi said made him think of something. He couldn't put his finger on it, however. Atem could tell it was a memory of Yuugi's, as he had less of an idea of who the girl was.
As for Atem beign the surface personality... well, it wasn't as flagrantly obvious as in the anime. But she should have heard the shift in his voice and the stance and battle readiness alone said volumes. Especially to any self-respecting otaku...

K1 turned at the sound of incoming footsteps, and then at the sudden stop of them. "Oh no."
Midori was standing there, staring at Atem. Something had definitely clicked in her mind. Maybe it was the way Yuugi was now standing. Or the fact that his voice was different.
However, the only reaction now was:
"OMGEFFINGGAAAAAAAWDIT'STHEOTHERYUUGIICAN'TBELIEVEWHATI'MSEEINGRIGHTNOWOMIGAAAWD!" Midori said. "OMIGAWDTHISISSOCOOOOLINEVERWANTTOLEAVETHISISLANDEVER."
And then she fainted.
K1's palm was currently stuck to his face, and it wasn't moving anytime soon.
((OOC: Translation: OMG Effing GAAAAAAAAAAAAWD it's the other Yuugi I can't believe what I'm seeing right now omigaaaaawd! Omigawd this is so cooool I never want to leave this island EVER.))

Minato turned, ready to fight, but at the fangirl outburst from Midori, his only expression was to sweatdrop profusely and give Atem a look of pity. "You have crazier fangirls then me, it seems," he said. Then he felt someone cling to his legs and looked down to see a girl there screaming, "MINATO-SAMA!" More sweatdropping commenced.

Atem just stared, blinking. That... had been severe...
Chibiusa fell to her knees and began shaking Midori, "Midori-chan! Hey, are you okay!?"
She'd heard every word with crystal clarity. And was suddenly quite grateful Pallas was a noble lady and not a fangirl. She looked up at Atem and tried to look apologetic, "I'm really sorry Mou Hitori no Yuugi-san, but could you help or something?"
Atem sweatdropped and shook his head, looking irritated, "She'll be fine in a few moments,"
"That's where I know her from! She's Sailor Chibi Moon!" Atem blinked at the figurative finger snapping of his partner, who than proceeded to give the cliffnotes version of who she was. Atem nodded to no one in particular and looked at the girl.
"She'll be fine, Serenity-hime," he said, his own memories tripping up any casual addressal of the girl.
Chibiusa blanched, "Why is my world the only one you people know!?" she shouted.
"I thought you said she was royalty?" Atem thought to his partner.
"She's... also a shoujo main character. Sorry, I don't really know much about girl anime,"
Atem didn't have much of a chance to react to this when he heard a screeching noise. He jerked around, but reacted better to Minato's "fangirl". He sighed, mockingly wishing for an army of Zorc's in his mind. He felt his partner make a suggestion and it was Yuugi who ran over to Midori's side, not Atem.
"I-I think she'll be fine..." he tried to say through the screeching of the girl on Minato's leg, "K1-kun, could you help Minato-kun?"
All hell has nothing on all fangirls breaking loose, after all...

K1 looked down at the fangirls swarming Minato's legs. Oh god, don't let them latch on to me just because I look like him, K1 thought to himself. "Alright, girls (that includes you Midori), get out of here. Now isn't the time."
And just to show this, he pulled out the COMP and summoned Jack Frost. "If you want something to fangirl on, fangirl on him. He's at least cute and snuggly."
"Hee-ho?"
Midori sprung to her feet, saw Jack Frost, and broke into "I WANNA TAKE HIM HOME" mode.
"HE'S SO CUTE!" Midori said, and glomped Jack Frost. The fangirl clinging to Minato's leg suddenly did the same.
"Jack Frost, competant demon partner and fangirl bait," K1 explained.

"Thank god for that COMP of yours. If I had tried to summon mine, they would've been crying for me not to go emo on them," Minato said. "Anyway... let's move while we have time. We'll hide out in my appartment until the storm calms."

Yuugi looked up. Chibiusa seemed to be fighting joining the group over Frost. It was still a demon, after all.
"You going to be okay?" Yuugi asked her.
"I'll be fine. Take your friend's advice and get out of here. And don't call me Serenity-hime again," she scowled.
Yuugi blinked, "Uh, right..." he got up and began after Minato and K1, "He's going to be okay, right?" he asked. He was referencing Jack but was a little worried looking back would be a bad idea. So he didn't.
"I'm sure he'll be fine, partner. Just keep walking,"
Yuugi nodded to the blank space to his left and kept up with the group as they made a hasty retreat.

K1 looked back at the fangirls. "He'll be fine. I can return him remotely once we're safe inside Minato's place."
There were even more fangirls joining the pile now. "Let's run before they suffocate Jack Frost."
And he did. Wasn't like he wasn't used to running.

Minato opened his door and waited for everyone to come in before shutting it. Locking it tightly, he sighed, sliding down to the ground, and looked ahead at the wall. "We made it," he said. "Thank goodness for that."

Yuugi looked around before turning to Minato and nodded, "I hear idols like that kind of attention... I think I'll stick with games..." He paused, "Um, so how long do these things generally last? Oh, K1-kun, don't forget about your demon!"
"On that demon issue... Mind if I take dominance for a while?"
"Lemme ask," Yuugi said out loud but to himself, "My other self has a few questions. You guys mind talking to him for a while?"

"I don't mind," K1 said. He pulled out his COMP to return Jack Frost, and noticed he had a new mail. Huh? Isn't it a bit late for the Laplace Mail?
Curious, he opened the mailbox. It was indeed a Laplace Mail. How had he missed that before.
The inside of the mail was fairly tame for once. Just stuff about some virus or something.
However, there was one line that caught K1's attention.
"Hey, Minato, what time is it?" K1 asked.

"Five minutes until one A.M.," Minato replied. He knew he had to keep a good track of time because of the Dark Hour back in his world... but this world didn't have that, right? "Why do you ask?"
