Yuugi nodded and his stance did the change that was probably familiar to K1 and Minato by now. Atem leaning against a wall and crossed his arms.
"It's obvious to me that your home worlds are different. Beyond the method of summoning. Some of what you two have said make it pretty clear as well. You," he looked at K1 to indicate what he meant, "have no problem calling out your demons. You however," a glance towards Minato, "Made a comment earlier about going emo. I get the distinct impression it was from more than simply the method of summoning. Is there any way some kind of clarification could occur, Minato-kun?"
Atem made a point of specifically asking Minato for more than the concern about the issue being targeted at him. He had seen the issue that had occured between his partner and K1 over talking about homeworlds. He hoped to avoid getting into another situation like that, for Yuugi's sake if nothing else.

"Ah, well... perhaps you should see for yourself, Minato," K1 said, and handed Minato the COMP. He then sat back and listened to Atem talk. He was curious about this evoker thing himself as it was.

"No, I said people would think I was going emo. Because the evoker is shaped like a gun due to Akihiko's facination with violence, it looks like I'm shooting myself in the head everytime I summon my Persona," Minato said, then looked at the COMP. His eyes widened as he focused his will on his hand to keep from dropping the piece of technology. "But... it's impossible... We defeated Nyx... we destroyed Tartarus... How can this be possible?!"

Atem raised an eyebrow at Minato's reaction. He also felt like an idiot for not pulling out his own COMP with the way K1 had been staring at his, but he wouldn't have admitted it. Pushing aside the thought that fangirls tended to be familiar with canon and as such might be acted on more than Minato realized, he reached into his pocket and looked at his COMPs screen. He had the message too. He looked up at Minato.
"Dark Hour...? As in that thing with the coffins you talked about before, correct?"
He was more than aware it would probably dredge up some memories Minato didn't want, but the situation had obviously already done so. Minato had spoken of normal people becoming coffins... it worried Atem. He didn't like not being able to act in a situation. Yuugi's eyes were full of concern as well. He glanced at his other self, who had his stare fixed on Minato as he awaited a response.

"People turning into coffins..." K1 thought about that for a moment, but didn't comment on it any further than that. "And those shadow things... this is bad."
And just punctuate the point, the clock suddenly hit midnight.
Immidiately, the power went out. Even the COMPs shut off. There was an eerie silence. about the place. The moon was glowing yellow, and the world had a green tint. And most importantly, there were pools of blood around the place. The water in the sink, the bathroom, everything, had turned into pure red blood.
"What the hell..." K1 said, and stood up.

Minato broke out into a cold sweat. "No... It can't... But it is..." His eyes widened as he noticed the shadows on the wall suddenly move towards Atem. "LOOK OUT!" Putting the evoker to his head, the trigger was pulled and Orpheus Telos shot out, hitting each shadow with a fire spell.

Atem had pulled a rare mistake. The distortions of the world around him had set him enough on edge that he had lost a good portion of his usual situational awareness. The startled feelings had caused him to take an unwilling step back. Yuugi was freaking quite a bit more, and despite feeling fairly disorientated at the situation, Atem was glad he had been dominant when the situation had hit.
The air was disturbingly similar to some of the yami no games he had been in. Such as the one Pegasus had started in the Duelist Kingdom final. Would it effect Yuugi the same way? He ducked down and yanked out some cards as the fire shot over his head. The situation was hard to follow and he felt his grasp on things slipping. He shakily pulled the five drawn cards to his hand, and the next reaction looked entirely out of place on the pharaoh's face.
His eyes had widened to unusually large volumes as he stared at the cards in his hand. Three monsters, a spell, and a trap. But that wasn't the issue as he all but froze in place. The issue was the images on the monster cards. Coffins... Atem seemed rather frozen. Yuugi sensed the shift in the situation but was scared out of his mind. This wasn't like the Games of Darkness in the least. That was the thought running through his mind as tears streamed down his face and he willed the situation to go away.
(OOC: Wow, shadows grew some. Remember, Atem and Yuugi both have the potential so they aren't going to be as big a target as K1)

The shadows faded away after being hit with the fire spells. K1 looked absolutely terrified.
They hadn't been trying to attack Atem or Minato. They were going for him. Someone who couldn't defend himself because his COMP had just gone inactive. But why was he still awake? Didn't the Dark Hour turn everyone into coffins? Unless it didn't because he was a COMP user. But that meant...
He ran through the door. "Midori!"
((OOC: Just to be clear, Midori did get turned into a coffin too. K1's only active because he's like Ikutsuki; no potential for summoning personae, but still able to be active during the Dark Hour.))

Minato looked back and tried to retain a grasp on his leadership abilities. That's right... I was the leader before. I led my friends to victory against the Dark Hour... I have to do it again!
"Atem! Stop panicking!" Minato called. "It'll only make you a bigger target! Get a hold of yourself! Quickly!" More shadows came out and Minato kept using Orpheus Telos, exploiting their weaknesses with different elemental spells and types of attack. Meanwhile, he kept a hold of two weapons while placing his knuckles on in case he needed to place a "Strike" attack on the enemy. A sword was needed for "Slash" and he had a spear on his back for a "Pierce" due to the different physical properties of shadows.

Atem jerked and looked at Minato and nodded. Yuugi was still panicking rather badly, but he was the dormant personality. They'd be fine, Minato was used to this and Atem felt the idiot for acting as badly as he could. It was about this time K1 ran past them a look of utter panic on his face. He had said Midori's name.
Atem narrowed his eyes and looked at Minato, "I don't know what the rules are about this coffin thing, but we need to help K1-kun!"
He ran foward without waiting for permission. It wasn't as if he were pulling a Junpei. It was a result of being a "leader" in his world, especially with his memories as a pharaoh. Although if he'd been in his full mind, he would have had the sense to allow the "general" as Minato basically was in terms of combat to take the lead. While experienced in battle, he had always been expected to stay further back on the line.
But the disorientation of the Dark Hour nicely explained it.

Unfortunately for K1, the shadows had stopped attacking Minato, and were now after him. There were quite a few of them too, and they were getting closer by the moment. Reaching into his pocket, K1 gripped a cellphone strap he'd kept from the lockdown, and turned around to face them.
And then freaked. One of the shadows was best described as a giant, chained beast. And it was facing him with its masked jeering face, shaking its chains wildly. Even with his demons, this Shadow was far beyond K1's ability to defeat. Atem and Minato were on the other side of this shadow. There was no way he could outrun this thing.
He was done for.
"IZANAGI!"
A bolt of lightning suddenly hit the shadow, causing it to turn around and face a silver-haired boy wearing orange glasses. In front of the boy was a Persona that resembled a delinquent carrying a large cleaver, and the boy himself was carrying a katana.
"Cleave, Izanagi!" Souji ordered, and the Persona slashed through the body of the Shadow. "Hey, are you okay?"
"Watch out!" K1 yelled. Souji stared at the Shadows surrounding him. This was more than he could handle all at once.

"Wait Atem! You need a..." Before Minato could finish the sentence with weapon, a shadow ambushed him and knocked his evoker away towards Atem. Minato attempted to slash the shadow with his sword, strike it with his knuckles, pierce it with his spear... all physical attacks failed. No! Shit shit shit! I can't...

A shadow rose from the ground between Atem and Minato after the Evoker was knocked in his direction. Atem's lack of understanding of the situation meant he would have no clue that in this case it was merely an extension of the main shadow. But it formed a blade from its body mass and swung at Atem. The pharaoh was only able to dodge part of the attack, his sleeve ripping and blood dripping down his arm. He glared, maybe running off had been a stupid idea. No weapon... it was then his foot impacted with the Evoker. Luckily the positioning caused it to kick away from the Shadow rather than towards it. A million thoughts, most of them impossible to track, ran through Atem's head. Minato's words, the fact that Minato shot himself in the head to summon his "Persona", the fact that Minato had said in varying ways that only those with potential could stay awake during the Dark Hour... As the thoughts solidified in the nanoseconds they took, Yuugi realized what Atem was thinking. He was still greatly disorientated when Atem ducked an attack and picked up the gun with his uninjured arm. Yuugi's eyes widened. "Don't! You don't know what it will do! Maybe its only for Minato-kun!" Yuugi tried to reach for Atem's arm, but his other self was aware enough to jerk it away. "This isn't a case of a cursed card! This is absolute life or death. If this doesn't work... I hope you'll forgive me... Yuugi..."It was like Atem had slapped Yuugi in the face. Using his name, and the tone of hopelessness. Atem had decided to go for an all or nothing gambit. Yuugi couldn't admit it to himself, but his other self was right. He would die... they would die... They had to take any options... Yuugi squeezed his eyes shut and turned away as Atem pointed the Evoker at his forehead, closed his eyes, and pulled the trigger... The distorted energy any Persona user would know swirled around Atem and something that looked like it stepped out of an Ancient Egyptian tomb materialized above his head. It looked like one of those creepy living guardian statues that media was known for using. But the glare was intense. We're talking raging Atem here. Atem heard a voice in his head... the figure was introducing itself. Temu, which under less stressful circumstances might have seemed ironic. The surfaced entity held out its hand and Atem heard it speak. "Zio" was what it said as a small-ish bolt of electricity coursed around its hands and shot at the piece of the main Shadow between Atem and Minato. (OOC: To keep things sane, here's an image of Temu I'm sure you've all already seen: mugenginga.deviantart.com/art/Temu-Reference-Fan-Persona-135046226I plan on allowing Atem to be active alongside Temu ala the fight scenes of the manga. And Yuugi reacting in the next post. But I think I pulled enough epic and need to allow you guys to respond. XD)

Souji looked at all of the shadows surrounding him, muttered something to Izanagi. The Persona raised its hand and hit all of the shadows with bolts of electricity, causing them to fade away.
"Let's go," Souji said.
"My friends are back that way!" K1 said. "I just need to get outside to check on another friend of mine."
"Be careful, then," Souji said, and ran to the direction K1 had indicated, hearing Shadows in that direction. What is going on here?

No way! Minato thought, awestruck as Temu went into action. The sheer shock of it all hit him all at once as thoughts flew by his mind like a whirlwind. He's not even from the same dimension... yet he has the potential! He can summon Persona! And what's more... he didn't hesitate. He knew he had to do it or else he would've died... Just like me... If I hadn't had summoned Orpheus that day, I would've died... Yukari would've too... That's why I did it... But for Atem to do it...
