Yuugi realized he'd never mentioned the Items to K1. He looked down and nodded, "There are seven. And they can all trap people in illusions, although my Puzzle and Bakura-kun's Ring seem to be connected to their user in a different fashion than the rest. They're the only two that have... well, had presences inside of them..." he looked up and saw K1 looked frightened, "But you don't have to worry! I'm really positive that none of the other Items are on the Island!"
He sounded more like he was trying to convince himself. Thing was, the Items had all been gathered in one place when the portal had appeared. It was entirely possible some had been sent to the island. At least Bakura's Ring had lost the evil thanks to the events in the Memory World.
(OOC: Aaand.... I think I need to reserve Bakura now. XD)

K1 didn't seem convinced, but he sighed and forced a bit of a smile. "Well, that's good." He turned. "Oh, there's Souji."
Souji had regained a bit of his composure in the time that it had taken him to get back downstairs. His face had the same somewhat harsh look on it, though. "We should go ahead and leave," Souji said. He glanced up at the facade of the building, looking for anyone up in the balconies. There was no one there.
((Ooc; not transitioning for getting the sword, since a page long thread's a bit worthless when it comes to an RP.))

Atem knew the smile was forced, but Yuugi was too busy being flustered to even stand a small chance. He turned his head at K1's topic change.
"Oh, right. Um... do you know of anyplace around here we can go? I saw the weapon shops in the Mall and they seem to focus on things like guns and knives..."
It was probably amusing to Souji, if he wasn't so currently pissed. The Mall could be compared to Junes. His time in Inaba would probably allow him to at least suspect smaller shops in the area might have what Yuugi needed.

"There's smaller weapon shops around here you can buy from," Souji explained. "I got my swords from one near here."
K1 stared up at the sky. It was cloudy again. Well, as long as it didn't rain too much. They didn't need it getting foggy, from Souji's explanations of the TV World. Well, as long as no one was in the TV World, anyways. They didn't need the TV World on top of all of their stuff with the Dark Hour

Yuugi nodded, "I'll have to let my other self look. He knows a lot more about weapons than I do."
The teen had never really thought about it before now. It did make sense though. Egypt wasn't covered much in history class, being lumped together with other early civilizations, but he knew that rulers from Ancient History were pretty much always trained for multiple modes of combat. Atem probably knew how to use other period weapons.
He laughed nervously when he noticed K1 looking at the sky. The situation sure was tense lately, "You're gonna have to take us there. I have no idea where we're going."

"That's fine," Souji said. "I'll lead the way then." The silver haired teen then did just that. --------------------- ((OOC: LET'S DO THE TIME SKIP AGAIN )) Eventually, the group stopped in front of a small store in Void City. Amongst the tall buildings, it looked rather out of place. The outside of the store contained items from various cultures all over the world. There was a Maneki Neko on the windowsill beckoning in shoppers, and there were various Ancient Egyptian, Mayan, and Gupta objects adorning the front of the building. Through the window, one could see weapons and armor for sale. "It looks like a curio shop, but it's actually a weapons shop," Souji explained. "It sells all sorts of different weapons, from just about every culture on earth."

During the walk, Atem had surfaced again. Yuugi was right, he did know a lot about weapons. And he was right about the reasons, as well. However, he was rather surprised to see the weapon selection in the store. He'd noticed the displays even before the Maneki Neko. A smile crossed his face, although it was more than likely the other teens didn't know why. A cat being connected with good fortune. Really, it would only make sense to those who knew Ancient Egyptian mythlology.
Atem headed in ahead of the others, having no doubt they were right behind him. A bell rang on the door and an old lady looked up, her eyebrow quirking at the Puzzle hanging around Atem's neck. It wasn't that she knew Atem's home franchise, but she knew enough about archeology to recognize an Ancient Egyptian treasure when she saw one. Atem noted her reaction but chose to leave it alone as he walked over towards a cluttered area with a few Egyptian weapons with the eyes of someone who knew them.
(OOC: NPC, but my plans are to have her inquire about the Puzzle)

Seeing that Atem had no trouble finding weapons of his own, Souji wandered over to a display filled with various European swords.
K1 felt a bit out of place. Between Souji, Atem, and the little old lady in the corner, he really didn't feel like he should be in this store. He knew nothing about weapons.
On a whim, K1 wandered over to some clubs. A few of them had rather interesting appearances. One was rather ancient looking, and seemed to be made from the horn of some sort. It had to be several thousand years old, and it was amazing it was still in this good a condition. Though, it was probably because of the island it was in this good a condition.
((OOC: Wikipedia's not telling me exactly what Cain used to kill Abel, but a lot of images are depicting clubs. ;D))

The woman glanced at the other teens for a moment before coming behind the counter and walking up to Atem. He was feeling the weight of a slightly curved blade when he heard her step up behind him. He turned his head.
"You seem to know your Ancient Egyptian weapons. History buff?"
Atem nodded, "My grandpa's into archeology."
"Oh, that's interesting! Is he the one that gave you that pendant?"

K1 picked up the club and examined it for a moment, before a sort of tingle moved though his body. Images flashed through his head, too fast for him to make out. Out of surprise, he dropped the club back onto the pile. His fingers were slightly singed, like a weak bolt of lightning had coursed through his body.
The old woman's conversation with Atem was enough of a distraction from the odd club. K1 turned around, hiding his hands behind his back. "Oh, yeah, I've been wondering where you got that from."
Souji paused in his examination of the swords on display to listen to the conversation.

Atem hadn't been able to respond, seeing K1's reaction to the weapon. He wasn't sure what had happened, so he chose to turn his focus back onto the woman, "My grandpa found it in an Ancient Egyptian tomb in pieces. I put it back together."
He wasn't sure he liked where this line of questioning was going. As it was, it was still obviously Atem but he was using Yuugi's memories for the explanation of the Puzzle. The woman seemed genuinely shocked.
"That is impressive! Mind if I look at it more closely?"
Atem shook his head, "I've had people try to steal it before."
She scowled, "That's terrible. Stupid idiots probably tried to hawk it as a hunk of gold."
The Pharaoh raised an eyebrow. No, actually, it had never been stolen for the apparent value. However, he also knew that this world had knowledge of his own, "What makes you think its got value beyond the sentimental and monetary factor...?"
He had tensed up. He was concerned about the reaction. Yuugi was as well, but he didn't think the old lady meant any harm. Then again, Yuugi's judgement of people's reaction the the Puzzle rarely ended well.

K1 smiled. "Possibly because you never let that thing out of your sights ever," he chided. As he said this, he glanced back at the clubs, and decided to move away from them, walking over to the display Souji was looking at. These swords did look quite nice, though the price tag...
Over 50,000 yen for one sword? And Souji bought two!? He must be loaded! K1 thought to himself, astonished.

The woman smiled and winked, "I have my ways. However, I'm aware now that it would be foolish to ask if you'd part with it."
She chuckled, the laugh sounding a bit more like "ohohoho" before she headed back. She pointed towards a bell on the counter, "Ring that when you're ready to pay. I doubt you need my help."
She chuckled a bit more before heading through a set of doors in the back. Atem glanced over at K1 and Souji, wondering if the woman had seemed odd to them as well. The way she had said "I doubt you need" was... there was far more to her than she was letting on.
"The other me...?"
"I doubt its anything we need to concern ourselves with..." Yuugi noted Atem didn't sound too convinced. Her decision to not ask about the Puzzle seemed to be more from realizing his "attachment" to it. He shook his head and turned again.
And noticed a sword that he would have sworn wasn't there before. It looked to be the same weapon he favored in Ancient Egypt. He turned his head again... was it possible it hadn't been there before?

Souji walked over to Atem and examined the sword. "That's an odd make. Can't say I've ever seen that before." It was likely Ms. Sofue had mentioned the swords in class before, but that had been a while ago, and this was now.

(OOC: If I have the wrong name, I do apologize. I'm no history buff, but this is the closest thing I could find from the era I argue Atem is from (late New Kingdom).)
Atem actually jumped as Souji spoke, quite possibly indicating how much the woman had set him on edge. He took in a deep breath and nodded, "It's called a sefet."
He carefully stood on his toes and grabbed it. It was more than clear he'd used it before. He marvelled at the balance. It was a little off for Yuugi's body, but he had the feeling it would be perfect for how he'd looked before being sealed in the Puzzle. And it wouldn't take much effort to get used to it like it was.
He glanced towards the back, "Did she strike you as odd?"
