Soui nodded. The old woman reminded him of a certain someone from back home, though it was only a passing resemblance. Souji didn't need to worry about her either. He looked past Atem to spot the price tag on the sefet.
"Do you have enough money to get it?" Souji asked.

Atem nodded. He couldn't shake the feeling he was being watched, and for that reason he avoided a direct reference to Yuugi, "However, I think I need to look into getting a job."
He glanced over at K1-kun, who seemed to be leering at a display while trying to avoid walking near it at the same time. It was the same one that he had dropped the item of, "Are you ready K1-kun? The shopkeeper said we should ring that bell when we're done."
He gestured towards the counter as he finished up. Yuugi looked at his other self. The Pharaoh seemed to be on edge about something. It was a mix of not knowing the situation and something else... he glanced towards the back. That woman was weird...

K1 looked up. "Huh? Of course. Go ahead."
K1 hadn't picked any weapons for himself out. Not since he had dropped the club in shock, which applied a bit more literally than normal today. He held up one of his hands to examine his singed fingertips, which allowed Souji, who was walking past with yet another sword, to examine them.
"What did you do to your hands?" Souji asked. K1 jumped.
"Oh, um... there was some exposed wiring in Naoya's apartment, and I accidentally shocked myself this morning," K1 lied. Like usual for him, it wasn't a good lie, plus it didn't explain the dropping of the club earlier. Souji raised an eyebrow, and then stood in front of the counter to wait for the woman to return.

Atem walked up to the counter and pressed the bell. A few moments later, about the time he was wondering if he should press it again, the old lady walked out. She glanced over at K1 and raised an eyebrow, but turned away and looked at Atem.
"Ah, I see you found it. I thought I was going to have to point it out for how long you were taking."
Atem wasn't sure what to make of that, but nodded as he placed the sword on the counter and pulled out his wallet. He took a few moments to count the money. He and Yuugi were getting better at this. Souji likely saw the money in the wallet was rather large. The bills, which were American, were in large denominations. Atem placed the money on the counter and the woman quickly rung it up and handed him his change.
She paused for a moment and then turned to K1, "If you want a sheperd's crook, you'll want to avoid that one. A lot of bad memories attached to it," she turned back towards Atem and grinned, "Anything else?"
Her comment probably didn't help K1. For one, why would this strange old lady even think of a comment like that? And bad memories...? Well, she had her reasons but there isn't any way K1 would know them.

K1 raised an eyebrow. Bad memories?
...Wait a minute... Shepherd's Crook?!
Some how this old woman had seen right through K1, and knew who he was too... well, THAT was disconcerting.
Souji stepped forward and put a katana he'd picked out on the counter. "I'd like to buy this." He pulled out his own wallet, and took out a few 10,000 yen bills. The amount of cash inside his wallet made it look like he was trying to rival Yuugi's in ridiculously richness.

"Oh, hold on a second dear," she smiled and ducked down beneath the counter.
A few seconds later she popped up and ran her fingers across the cash register again. It popped open and she pulled out change... in yen. She handed the change to Souji and gave a nod. Her eyes sparkled and it seemed she was having quite a bit of fun.
Atem was looking over at K1. He understood his shock, he hadn't missed the comment any more than K1 had. Even more than before, this woman was throwing him off. She smiled, "I assume that will be all for you three?"
She was really quite cheerful. And well... creepy. Atem wasn't generally one to get freaked, but he wanted out of there pretty badly right now. Yuugi felt like he'd stepped into some kind of haunted house. Was this how Jounouchi felt around things he thought were haunted?

K1 nodded. "Y-Yeah..." He turned to Atem and whispered, "Let's get out of here... This place gives me the creeps."
Souji walked on over with his freshly bought blade. "Well, we should get going, then."

Atem nodded, and jerked his head back as the old lady chuckled. She headed to the back of the shop, continuing to chuckle. It had been a while since she'd had such guests, and their reactions were making the game so worth it. Abel was suitably freaked, and that Ancient Egyptian teenager looked like he'd seen some kind of ghost.
She paused in the back room and reached into a chest. Those three would need something tonight. She paused. No four, although she didn't particularly want to give one to Cain. Ah well, something told her Abel'd hand his to Cain if she didn't give him one. And it provided a fun opportunity to mess with them some more.
Himitsu had often been accused of being evil. It wasn't that, it was just that she rarely had the chance to mess with people this much. Besides, it wouldn't do any harm. If they needed to show up at her shop again they would whether it freaked them out or not... -----
Atem quickly nodded as the woman walked off. Poor Souji was probably confused as the two teens rather quickly headed to the door...

K1 swiftly made his was over to the door. Souji followed on after.
"What's wrong? You look like you've seen a ghost," Souji said.
"N-Nothing! Let's go," K1 said.

The teens were a few steps away from the shop when the doors jingled, "Young men, hold on a moment!"
Atem winced and turned around. The woman was holding four umbrellas. They looked to be plastic topped rather than the usual canvas. There was a dark grey one, a bright blue one, a dull blue one, and a white one. She scurried over to the boys. She forcefully handed Atem the bright blue one, Souji the dark grey one, and K1 the other two.
"You'll need those tonight. Its going to rain, and you'll want a smooth plastic top so it doesn't stick," she looked at K1, "For your brother," she said as she gestured to the white umbrella.
She didn't wait for a reaction or give the teens a chance to argue before scurrying back to the shop and quickly going inside. Atem stared, blinking several times. Why did they need an umbrella? Let alone one that rain wouldn't "stick" to? He looked over at K1. He'd heard the comment about "brother" - How much did that woman know? Compared to that, the coincidence of one that matched his favorite color seemed rather small.

"Um..." K1 took both umbrellas, but he was still confused as heck. "Thanks, I guess..."
He turned to Souji, who looked suitably confused as well, and Atem. "...Now what?"
"I'm going to go train myself some more. You two can go do whatever. Just remember that we have to meet at the Plaza before the Dark Hour tonight," Souji said.

Atem nodded, but he seemed rather focused on the old lady. He shook his head and turned towards the teen, "My partner and I will probably do the same. We'll see you later."
Atem showed no signs of moving. Fact was, despite being rather freaked, he wanted to ask K1 about that encounter. And it would require saying things he had no doubt the teen wanted to keep secret from Souji. She had called Naoya his "brother" - As if the comment about the sheperd's crook wasn't bad enough. At least he hadn't seen the weather report that morning.
The fact that it hadn't predicted rain was probably weighing on Souji's mind as well. Souji had mentioned the Dark Hour, she'd mentioned "tonight". He relayed that information to Yuugi, and the teen shuddered. It really was all too weird. And now that he was out of the situation, Atem realized the woman had been enjoying herself. Had she been doing all that on purpose?

Souji smiled and walked away, heading back toward the apartments.
K1 sighed. "That lady in there creeps me out... let's go somewhere else."

"She knows way more than she's letting on. I think she was playing with us... but I agree. That lot next to the apartments is as good a place as any," he paused, "I want to talk to you about that in there."
"We shouldn't make him uncomfortable..."
"We also shouldn't let someone with the knowledge she has just rest. I don't know what her motives are, we have to discuss that with K1-kun."
Atem carefully slipped the blade under his belt, forming a makeshift sheath of sorts. He glanced at K1 to make sure he was with him before walking off. He was going pretty calmly, if for no other reason he didn't want that woman to think he was more freaked than he already was. Somehow he had a feeling she was watching them.

"R-Right..." K1 said. "Lead the way, then..."
