Groaning, K1 climbed out of bed. He took a few minutes to recall the night before. Someone had broken into Yuugi's bedroom, likely Adachi's Persona, and taken the Millenium Puzzle. That person, likely Adachi, had then most likely thrown Atem into the TV World. Though, K1 had no idea how they could tell. Hadn't Souji said that the Midnight Channel only showed people's desires?
After pulling on some clean clothes, K1 walked into the kitchen to start cooking something for breakfast, when he saw a pancake wrap already on a plate on the counter. "Thanks," he mumbled, and took the plate.
------------------------
Souji hadn't slept. Knowing that Adachi was right across the hall, he didn't feel comfortable sleeping. It wasn't out of fear, just hatred and anger.
Sometime that morning, long before K1 had woken up, Adachi had left the complex. Souji knew this because the walls were paper thin in this stupid place and he could hear it from across the hall. He checked the clock on the wall. 9:00 AM. He'd been awake for 8 hours, watching the Weather Channel. It was all in English, though they ran Japanese subtitles. Not that Souji had needed them most of the time; he had gotten some of the higher grades in his English class at Yasoinaba, plus this island some to have some sort of easy translation thing so that people from all countries could understand one another.

Naoya glanced towards Keiichi. The teen was still half asleep. Actually, Naoya was a little tired himself. That Dark Hour thing was something else. He'd actually debated about taking the umbrella out with him... he had been glad he'd decided to. It struck him as odd...
"Keiichi, how did you know I'd need an umbrella last night?"
He had come out of the kitchen at this point. He had a cup of coffee in his hand.

K1 looked back at Naoya, and gulped down a bit of pancake wrap before responding. "This old lady at a weapon shop said we'd need them." He went back to his wrap. She actually scared him a little bit. There was just something strange about that shop.
He didn't want to step foot in that shop ever again.
-----------------
After a few more minutes, Souji pulled on his old school uniform's jacket, and headed upstairs to see if K1 and Yuugi were awake yet.

Naoya paused. An old lady at a weapon shop? He wasn't the type to question what he'd heard, but that did throw him. And Keiichi's had sounded a bit scared as he finished up. Naoya made his own plate of food and came out, sitting at a table.
"Want to talk about it?"
For all his manipulation, even down to killing his own parents to get to the reincarnation of his brother, Naoya did care for the teen. It's nothing that would cause him to throw himself in front of a bullet, what with how aware of reincarnation he was, but it was more than many might realize. Yes, he wanted to corrupt the boy to the point of being damned, but he did care about him.
And besides, this sounded like something he needed to know. In case you're wondering, he was very much rationalizing his emotions away. He couldn't admit he wasn't a total asshole. That'd be more blaspehous than giving God the bird. -----
Yuugi rolled over, but was still asleep...

K1 shook his head. "It's nothing, really." Rather, he didn't want to talk about it. That had been an odd day.
After finishing his pancake wrap, he got up to put his plate in the sink. He winced. Those weird electrical burns from yesterday were still there, and they hurt. After the plate was safely in the sink without having dropped it, thanks to the injuries on his fingertips, K1 walked down to the bathroom and got out several bandages. That should at least make it so he didn't feel like he was sticking his hands over an open flame every time he touched something.
-----------------
Souji reached Yuugi's door, and knocked on it a couple times. "Yuugi-kun? Are you awake?"

Naoya raised an eyebrow as Keiichi got up. He also noticed the teen wince. He'd seen the marks, but hadn't realized they hurt. He watched Keiichi as he made his way to the bathroom. The teen knocked something over trying to get the bandages out. Naoya sighed and got to his feet, pushing the door open slightly and taking the bandages from Keiichi.
"What did you do to yourself? Grab a live wire or something?" Naoya was unwrapping the gauze, and it was pretty clear he planned on helping Keiichi put it on. Or putting it on for him, more like. He'd completely taken it from the teen's hands.
And he hadn't missed that he was trying harder than usual to hide it. Which meant it had occured in something he didn't want to talk about. From what Naoya had seen, that eliminated the Dark Hour. And with his ability to read people and the conversation at hand, he made the correct jump that it was connected to that "old lady" he'd mentioned. ----
Yuugi jerked awake and pushed himself up. He still felt exhausted. He reached over to the desk and paused with his hands hovering there. His shoulders slumped. Right, emotional exhaustion. He pushed the covers off and climbed out of bed. He grabbed his cards and pocketed them as he walked towards the door. He looked at his television. Too small.
He reached the door and shook his head, trying to look less depressed and even managing it a bit as he opened the door, "I'm right here, Seta-kun."
Yuugi was thankful he'd come up with anything to say. It had taken him the whole walk across the apartment to come up with it. It was obvious the teen had been crying the night before. His eyes were still a bit puffy and he looked like he hadn't slept in a week.

K1 shook his head. He really, really didn't want to talk about it, but it looked like he had no choice. "There was this weird club thing in the old lady's shop. It was made out of some sort of animal horn... I touched it, and then it shocked me." He didn't mention the weird images that had flashed through his head. He didn't need Naoya thinking he was crazy, which was a bit of a stupid thought on K1's part.
----------------------
Souji took one look at Yuugi's face and saw that things were still rather bad.
"You look terrible," Souji commented. "Is K1 awake yet?"

Naoya had grabbed some burn cream when he paused. It didn't last more than a second. He took a firm grasp on Keiichi's hand, "Hold still, this will sting. Do you know what kind of animal it was?"
If what he suspected was the case, he wanted to have a word with this woman. If Keiichi knew the animal type, he probably knew far more. The teen wasn't looking Naoya in the eyes, either. He'd been the one cursed with memories, not Abel, but as things looked to be developing... he knew Keiichi hadn't been able to figure the situation out. He wasn't look at him the right way for that.
He remembered that look. Abel had been so shocked... idiot had let the warning signs go right over his head. Naoya wasn't even aware as his eyes narrowed, and it was possible he was wrapping the gauze too tight without realizing. -----
Yuugi looked down, unsure how to respond to Souij's conversation. He looked to the side, "I don't know... I think I heard them."

K1 winced. "Not so tight, Naoya." As for the previous question, he had to think about that for a moment. He hadn't really gotten a chance to get a good look at it. "I think it was a ram's horn, or... maybe an elk horn. It was pretty odd looking."
Of course, K1 had no idea that fit the description of the club that Cain had used to kill Abel. He wouldn't have known after all, what with not having memories of that time.
----------------
"Then let's go see if they're awake," Souji said. He turned and walked over to Naoya's door before knocking.

Naoya looked down as Keiichi winced, and said nothing as he loosened it a bit. The conversation seemed to be over on his end. He tied it off with the expertise of one who had done so many times before, "I'll change it when you get home tonight," he paused, "Try not to hurt yourself worse."
He was doing a good job at keeping his thoughts down. Keiichi had seen this reaction on only a few other occasions. Every once in a while, Naoya would become somewhat cold and stoic. It usually ended up the way it was turning now. Naoya suddenly becoming busy with something else.
If Keiichi took the time to think, there was a very slight pattern to when it occured. The first time had been when Keiichi was in first grade. His father had to suddenly go out and Naoya had to pick him up from a school trip. It had been to a farm, and Naoya had reacted this way when he saw Keiichi all but cooing over a lamb.
Then there was the time Keiichi had informed his parents he didn't like vegetables. He'd been around ten, and Naoya had gotten up and stormed out of the room. He hadn't responded to their parents questions and had refused to talk for the rest of the night.
It was a good think Keiichi wasn't well versed in Christian tales. Naoya was reaching for the front door when he heard knocking. He scowled rather deeply but was back to his usual expression as he opened the door, "Oh. What do you want?"
It seemed curt, even for Naoya.

Souji noted the change in Naoya's attitude. Sounded like he was having a bad day for some reason.
"Is Keiichi awake?" Souji asked.
K1 came walking out of the bathroom, and waved to Souji. "I'm here, just let me get my COMP." He then wandered off to Naoya's room.

Keiichi answered before Naoya could, "He'll be right out," he stated flatly before rather rudely shutting the door in the silver haired teen's face.
He met Keiichi as the teen was halfway to the door, "I installed a new function on your COMP. There's instructions inside."
That comment made it pretty clear Naoya had no intention of going with Keiichi. Poor teen was probably really confused right now. Naoya was acting like something was aggravating him, but nothing that had just occurred should have bothered him...
Naoya would have preferred to go over the map and tracking program with Keiichi himself. However, he had quickly gone into his bad mood caused by memories. Other times, he'd just had trouble sorting through things. This time, however, it seemed almost as if someone were taunting him from a distance. He did not appreciate that.
Yuugi looked up as the door was harshly shut, "Did we say something wrong...?" he asked Souji.

K1 looked rather confused at that, but hey, new functions were always good. "Okay, thanks Naoya," he said before walking up to Yuugi and Souji. "Alright, so what's the plan?"
"We're going back to the mall and are going to try to get out to the main area of the TV World via the entrance to Yuugi's reality," Souji explained. "We'll need Kikuri-Hime's help for this. Is she summonable at the moment?" K1 nodded. "Good. Then let's go."

"Will that work...?" Yuugi asked.
He had no idea how the TV World worked. Souji had said people had their own worlds. He hadn't really thought about it, but he supposed they could be linked the way the Island was... but could they find a portal like that? The fact was, Yuugi was having trouble thinking coherently. And they had a limited amount of time. Souji said that the fog came after the rain... it had rained yesterday. It was raining now. How fast...?
Naoya was standing inside the apartment, to the side of the door. He was running through the application he'd made on the COMP. He'd actually manipulated the way it interacted with the wireless network on the island. The ability to track other modded COMPs was not something he'd included in Keiichi's version of the program. But his could track everywhere Keiichi had been yesterday as well as the three active ones on the island. One was near the hotel area of Void City, and two were right next to his. Yuugi's and Keiichi's, of course. That other one, however... it wasn't his concern right now. He'd find that woman Keiichi had mentioned and track down the other COMP later.

Souji nodded. "It should work in theory. All of the realities inside the TV World exit out somewhere inside the TV World itself. If we need to get out, we always have Kikuri-Hime," Souji said. He started walking back down the hall. "We should go."
"R-Right," K1 said, and followed after.
