(OOC: Plot between me and FF. Devil Survivor and Persona, with some Yu-Gi-Oh! Ask one, we'll discuss. Insane activity levels required.)
Atem and Yuugi had left the shop before anyone else. It had been several hours since then. It was five in the morning now, and Yuugi was laying awake in bed. Yuugi was far too worried about K1 to get solid sleep. He hadn't thought about it until they were almost to the apartments, but it was likely K1 knew by now that he'd told Souji and the rest of the group about him and Naoya.
Atem had mentioned that K1's aura had been getting darker. They had gone off to fight a demon, and Atem was convinced that K1 had fully chosen the route to become the King of Demons. He sighed as he stared at the ceiling. Would K1 be okay? He didn't think Naoya would hurt the teenager like he had before, but still...
When his COMP beeped he practically fell off the side of his bed. He jerked his head around before realizing what was making the noise. He flipped it open.
"Atem!" Yuugi shouted, wincing when he realized how loud it was.
Atem opened one eye. That was Yuugi's excited shout. Contrary to apperance, Atem had only been very lightly asleep. He swung his legs over the couch. Yuugi had gotten annoyed at Atem's insistance he take the bed again. He was going to have to take the bed tonight if he didn't want to pay for it... from both his back and the shorter teenager. He yawned as he stood up and looked into the bedroom. He looked concerned for a moment. Yuugi hadn't appeared to sleep well. He looked down at the COMP.
"K1?"
Yuugi nodded, "They said they'd be back soon. Kurosawa-kun's alive!"
Atem smiled a bit, "I was worried about that..."
"He's hurt, though. Seta-kun says he isn't doing good."
Atem nodded. He hadn't expected the teenager to be alive, so not doing good was a vastly better condition, "I'll get the supplies. You go see if Minato-kun is home. He might want to meet them as well," Atem paused, "Did it say anything about Bel?"
"....yeah. K1-kun says he's closer to the Throne. It didn't say where Kurosawa-kun is sitting with it, though."
"From what you said, he's probably not conscious."
Yuugi nodded, "I'll go get Minato-kun."
Yuugi jumped up, the energy level putting another soft smile on Atem's face. The shorter teen's optimism... he wished he could share it. He had no doubt Kaini had been tortured. It was the kind of thing that shook a person's faith. The fact that no mention had been made over Kaini beyond the injuries implied he had either been unconsious the whole time... or he wasn't as gung ho as before about the whole Messiah thing. And if the latter was the case, it didn't seem a good sign. -----
Yuugi hesitated a bit in front of Adachi's door before making his way down the stairs at the end of the hall. Minato's door was right past the stairs. He knocked on it several times. There was a chance the blue haired teen wasn't home, after all.
"Minato-kun, you there? Kurosawa-kun's okay!"
Well, alive... I probably shouldn't mention that he isn't doing good. Minato-kun has been awfully depressed lately...
Yuugi reached into his pocket... the COMP was there. If Minato had changed his mind, the Death Clock would be different. He'd left the COMP on for that specific purpose.

The whole way back to the apartments, Souji had been reluctantly carrying the unconscious Kaini. This was obviously another attack from Naoya, but he wasn't going to say "YOU carry him". Instead he was just carrying the teen like he'd been practically ordered to. Score one for Naoya.
Now that the adrenaline of the fight and K1's initial shock from seeing what he thought was a dead Kaini had worn off, K1 was very tired. But while he just wanted to get to bed, they had to make sure Kaini was alright first.
------------------------
Minato opened the door, and looked down at Yuugi. He actually looked worse than he had before, and it was getting very clear that he wasn't sleeping at all. It wasn't a matter of the Dark Hour. It was a matter that he was afraid to sleep. It had been about a couple weeks since Orpheus had started going berserk, and Minato hadn't been taking any Persona Suppressants. It was starting to get to the point that he was afraid that if he slept, Orpheus would strangle him in his sleep. Most importantly, his Death Clock hadn't changed from the rate it was going down now. It now read two.
"He's okay?" Minato asked. He rubbed his eyes. "Well, that's a relief. I guess that means that K1 defeated Belphegor, though..." Like Souji, he couldn't decide if that was a good thing or a bad thing.

Yuugi nodded, trying to not (and failing pretty badly) frown as he saw the number above Minato's head. Although really, considering the taller teenager's appearance, that was the least of his concerns. If this kept up he was going to die from exhaustion. He looked to the side before looking up at Minato again, "Do you want to come to my and Atem's apartment? Atem is getting some first aid stuff ready... Seta-kun said Kurosawa-kun is kind of badly off..."
Yuugi was aware at how poorly he was hiding his concern. Actually, there was an ulterior motive to the offer. He wanted Atem to see Minato. The Egyptian teenager seemed to understand Minato better. Yuugi wasn't stupid. He knew it was probably because both of them had sacrificed their lives to save the world before, "I don't know how long they'll be. I don't know how far out they were."

"Yeah, sure. Give me a second..." He went back into his apartment and picked up a package that had arrived in the mail the previous day. In order to keep with his addiction to TV Mail Order shows, he'd ordered three first aid kits for 7000 yen. He'd taken one with him on the fight with the Arcana Shadow, but never had actually used it.
He walked back over to Yuugi, still carrying the package. "Alright, ready."

Yuugi looked at the package but chose the overly polite route and didn't say anything. He headed back up the stairs, walking in a way that put him and Minato next to each other. -----
Atem frowned. He hadn't been thinking straight before. Of course Kaini was going to need help when he came back. The healing powers K1 and Naoya's demons had were one thing, but they probably didn't do much for exhaustion. If his suspicions about what had occurred were right... he shook his head. They were still damn lucky Kaini was alive. Yuugi as worried about K1's reaction... yes, they'd made a promise. But sometimes it was necessary to share details. Yuugi had the potential to stand up for his decision, he hoped his partner would take it if he was confronted.
As it was though, they only had a few basics. They didn't even have any wraps. He put the stuff they did have into a plastic bag and stepped outside the apartment. He glanced at Adachi's door, which the man had gotten repaired (and locked, it was more than obvious even from outside) over the days Kaini had been kidnapped. Atem stood next to the door to Naoya's apartment, so he saw Yuugi and Minato as they came up the stairs. He looked rather annoyed when he saw Minato, though.
"Oh, Atem!" Yuugi waved, picking up a bit. Atem smiled at him for a moment before returning his annoyed gaze to Minato. Yuugi looked over to the blue-haired teen.
Right, Atem was probably annoyed he was letting his condition fall apart like this. He grinned nervously and walked a bit faster.
"Maybe you should e-mail them back. Ask how long they are going to be," Atem said to Yuugi before flatly staring at Minato, "Minato-kun, you are doing yourself no favors by not sleeping."
Yeah, definently annoyed sounding. And critical.

Minato looked down. "I'm fine." Which was a rather blatant lie. He was aware that he wasn't helping his physical condition at all. After all, it had been nearly forty-eight hours since he'd last slept. Despite the fact that it was five in the morning, he was still wearing his uniform too.
He turned to Yuugi. "What time is it, anyways?"

Atem didn't seem the least bit satisfied, "No you're not," he glanced at Yuugi and seemed to hesitate for a brief moment before returning his now glare to Minato, "I don't know everything that is involved in what you want to do, but I am quite sure it will not go well if you're exhausted. Is it because of your Persona?"
Yuugi flipped the COMP open. He'd notice Atem had considered not talking cause he was there, so he worked at not looking worried about the situation. Fairly successful, as well, "5:34 in the morning..." Yuugi said, "It's been about half an hour since the e-mail already..."

Minato nodded before looking to Yuugi. "They should be here soon, then."
It was very obvious he was trying to avoid talking to Atem at all.

Yuugi looked up at Atem. He was quickly heading past peeved. He hesitated for a moment, "Um... I'll go watch for them..." He quickly headed towards the stairs. Atem might have smiled at his attempt to be nice had he not been so annoyed. He was kind enough to let Yuugi leave before looking Minato in the eyes, "It's your choice to die for this seal. What good will that choice do if you're too tired to make it? It is your Persona, it's plastered over your face," Atem narrowed his eyes, "Minato-kun, you're not an island. I know it might be hard to get that, but you can't do everything by yourself. If you're worried about your Persona you need to tell someone. Yuugi and I would be more than willing to stand watch and wake you if anything happened. I used to be the same way. Thinking I had to do everything myself." Atem's gaze softened a bit. It was still critical, but there was a level of more understanding, "I almost sent Kaiba to his death once. Because I refused to see the strength in bonds, because I refused to lose. Yuugi forced his way out of the Puzzle, if he hadn't Kaiba would have stepped off that building and died. I have no doubt he would have made good on his promise. You might be the only one that can make that seal, but you can't turn your back on your friends. If the clock hasn't changed, you're going to make the seal in two days, correct? You have to rest before that." ----- Yuugi sighed as he stepped outside. The moon was still in the sky, and the place would have been remarkably illuminated even without the lights at the complex. He closed his eyes and looked down, lifting his arm and wiping at them. He was on the verge of tears again. Minato was going to do it. He was going to throw his life away in two days. Atem had said there might not be another option. It was looking that way. K1 was going to fall into darkness at this rate, Minato was going to die in two days. What about Souji? Would Adachi kill Souji? Why was everything falling apart? His friends were very possibly dead from the cave in, and he was stuck on this Island. Atem was there, but things had gotten awkward since Atem's TV World. The taller teenager was stepping more carefully... and Yuugi knew it was cause of him. He'd often been asked by his friends why he never moved forward with Anzu. Because he wasn't sure. And with Atem, it was even more awkward. That kind of relationship... Yuugi sighed. Did Atem even feel anywhere near the same way? It would be way too embarassing to find out he didn't. Even more than with Anzu... at least a relationship with Anzu would be "normal". Was that why he was acting odd? Cause he didn't? His shadow had seemed to, but that didn't mean he wanted those feelings. Yuugi's own shadow had said he wanted to hurt people. He... kind of did. But those were feelings he was fighting against, trying to rise above. Was it the same way with Atem? Why was he even thinking this...? Yuugi felt his cheeks get red. This really was worse than with Anzu... back home there were other things to focus on, but here? He looked annoyed... it was better than focusing on Minato, he supposed... ----- "Looks like he's waiting for us," Naoya said. They weren't that far from the apartment, and the combination of moonlight and building light allowed Naoya to see Yuugi. The reason Yuugi didn't see the group was because of how absorbed in his own thoughts he was. It didn't stop Naoya from noticing that Yuugi seemed some mixture of depressed, awkward, and annoyed. (OOC: If Minato remains all tightlipped, we have a reversed Duelist Arcana on our hands. If he accepts Atem's offer, we have a rank up. And good job Atem. XD You've totally caused Yuugi to misinterpert things. XD)

Minato could tell that things were going downhill fast, and that any lies he could even try to tell at this point weren't going to work with Atem. He opened his mouth to say something when Atem mentioned the dying in two days. Minato closed it, and looked away before answering Atem.
"...I was actually going to do it tomorrow," Minato said.
------------------------
K1 looked up and picked up the pace, walking briskly over to Yuugi.
"Hey. Where's Atem?" K1 asked. He wasn't even saying "hi" or anything. He even sounded slightly less cheerful, and he had a look on his face that definitely said he wanted to talk.
Souji continued walking at the pace he had been, adjusting Kaini a bit as he did. "Let's get Kaini inside."

"And you intend to stay up the entire time?" Atem shook his head, "I already told you I'm not going to try to stop you. But it will do you no good if you can't even fight. If it was as simple as showing up at Tartarus, I know you would have gone by now. Minato-kun, you have to sleep," The last part was especially firm. But his expression had softened by a very slight amount. -----
"He's..." Yuugi caught the look from K1. And besides that, the Pendant was reacting ever so slightly... which it hadn't before. Yuugi swallowed, "He's talking with Minato-kun."
Yuugi glanced at Souji. Kaini was on the teen's back, but out. His eyes widened when he saw the horrible condition of the teen's clothes. Not to mention the smell and the apparent scarring. He winced and looked away, "A-Atem has some first aid supplies... K1-kun...."
He couldn't find the words. He had a feeling he knew what K1 wanted to talk about. Naoya walked up to his cousin, "We'll take him up stairs. Meet us when you can," he said, looking over to Souji. His gaze narrowed, almost as if he were daring the teen to say something to oppose what he had told Keiichi.

"I'll sleep later," Minato said. He heard someone downstairs. "Not right now, though... I think they're here."
---------
Souji said nothing about what Naoya had said to K1. Already Souji was noticing changes. K1 almost seemed like a different person... he'd really changed since Souji had first met him. If he had to guess, he'd say the reason was because the demonic energy of the Bels had more time to settle into his human body since the lockdown. It was entirely likely he was wrong, though.
He followed Naoya upstairs silently. Probably another point for Naoya.
Once the two of them were gone, K1 turned to Yuugi. "You told them, didn't you?"

Yuugi took in a deep breath and managed to not only give but maintain eye contact, "...yes. I... they needed to know. So we could help you," he broke eye contact to look where Naoya, and particurlarly Souji, had gone before returning his focus to K1, "I'm sorry if things got weird because of it... everyone knows. Seta-kun, Minato-kun, Shirogane-chan, Tatsumi-san... I understand if you're mad."
The reaction to this might not be good, but if it wasn't going to be, it needed to happen now. He wanted to ask about Kaini, but this needed to be handled first. -----
The conversation had hit a wall. Somehow Atem had a feeling even if they hadn't interuppted, Minato would have gone quiet. It was irritating, but he'd let it sit for now. He nodded solemnly and turned towards the stairs as Naoya came up. Naoya's eyes narrowed as he saw Minato. Something had happened recently, apparently. That two was a rather large indication. Naoya stepped to the side so Souji could get up. He was taking longer, but it was understandable. He had Kaini on his back.
"Get out of the way of the door," he told Minato. He was digging around in one of his cloak's pockets. His COMP was on standby, but he wanted to get it plugged in as soon as he could. There were some changes to his notes he would have to make after the Belphegor fight. Where those demons had been summoned from... he wanted to adjust his calculations before he forgot them. He looked back up at Minato, annoyed, "Who took my key?"

There was a very betrayed look on K1's face. "Yuugi... you promised that you wouldn't tell anyone." He turned away, shook his head a couple times, and then headed into the apartments. He couldn't explode on anyone else. He just didn't have the energy for it at the moment. And he didn't want to lose any more friends, though it looked like it was going that way by this point.
--------------------
Minato looked around for a moment before remembering, and reaching into his pocket, pulling out a small silver apartment key. "Sorry."
Souji was still curious as to how Minato had been able to find that key so quickly after they got back to the apartments...

Yuugi loooked like a kicked puppy at the expression that spread on K1's face. He looked down to try and hide it, but it wasn't just his facial expression. He had felt bad enough about it, now he felt like a complete jackass. Had he really done the wrong thing? He heard the door shut perhaps harder than K1 had intended. It was a soft slam to use an oxymoron. Yuugi slumped against the wall and conceded to the few tears that fell.
He sniffed as his nose was running a bit and wiped his face. He wished K1 had yelled at him. That betrayed look and tone had been far worse than even a punch would have been. He coughed a bit from the tears and lifted up his shirt to wipe his face a bit better. He held up a hand and once he was convinced his faced didn't easily betray he had been crying opened the door and ran after where he guessed K1 had gone. The teen would already be on the third floor by the time he got there. -----
Naoya scowled deeply but took the key. The pockets in his jacket weren't the easiest thing to find, which meant Minato had likely looked in other places. Which probably meant Yuugi had told the group about him and Keiichi right after they'd gone comatose. Atem might have glared at Naoya, but he was more concerned with Kaini's condition. He saw the scars on his hands and feet and his eyes widened.
"Did... was he...?" Atem looked stunned. The location of those scars seemed a bit much to be coincidence. And it wasn't just those scars. Even more than before Atem realized how lucky Kaini was to be alive, "Souji, do you need help?" he asked. It didn't really look like the blue haired teenager needed much in terms of physical first aid... some of the wounds looked barely healed, but it seemed Kaini suffered from exhaustion more than anything else.
Atem heard fairly quick footsteps. They weren't Yuugi's, which meant they were K1's, "K1 is alright, correct?"
