Kaini opened his mouth but remained quiet for a bit. He'd been thinking about how his mother would react to all this. Probably wouldn't be good. Probably have an anerism that he was working with Cain. Probably also think he was delusional, good Christians didn't believe in reincarnation.
"...she's... good... Or... was until the Lockdown," his expression shifted to a mix between a bitter smile and a resigned scowl, "I wondered why she was freaking out so badly about it... Dad never told you either, huh?"
Actually, freaking out was a bit of an understatement. The calm woman that could face everything had been all but living at their church for the past couple of days. Well, her church... he closed his eyes, looking a bit pained. If he never set foot inside a church again it would be too soon. No matter how he looked at it, he doubted his mother would accept him ever again. He knew enough about Japan to know Christianity was in the almost non-existant minority. So Keiichi... Abel... refusing to follow God was one thing. But he'd been raised a Christian. He sighed.

K1 looked down. "Yeah, Dad never said anything. I guess since we were both so young when this happened... Naoya said he didn't know anything either, so I guess Dad and that woman I've been calling Mom were the only ones who knew."
He looked up and turned to look out the doorway. "Hey, Naoya! Hurry up with that water already!"

Naoya. Cain. Right. Kaini wondered how that worked. He'd have to have his Bible to be sure, and there were any number of interpertations to the story. The only thing that was really agreed upon was that Cain had killed Abel and gotten cursed. Even the definition of the curse was never defined... how did Naoya fit into that?
"...How long have you known Naoya?" Kaini wasn't sure if he should be affixing an honorific there. They were speaking Japanese, it would be proper. But Naoya, at least as Naoya, was simply a cousin. -----
Naoya rolled his eyes at Keiichi's yell. As he had expected, the conversation had already hit a topic Keiichi wanted to avoid. Naoya turned off the tap. He'd taken so much time as he had purposely avoided straight cold. As it was it was luke warm. He didn't want to shock the teen's system, and being dehydrated there was little chance he'd care about the water temperature.
He walked towards the door in time for Naoya to answer, "Keiichi might not remember. He was three. Keiichi, sit him up. Choking won't do him any good."

K1 stood up and walked over to the bed before slowly pulling Kaini upright. "Easy does it..."

Kaini had to close his eyes, and it really didn't do much for the expected head spin. He had to clamp his left hand onto Keiichi's as much as he could for his current strength level to avoid falling. Which would have been fairly impressive for the fact he was sitting. Naoya walked over and held up the cup to Kaini's lips, pulling it back before Kaini was able to get much. As expected, the teen went into a bit of a coughing fit. Naoya waited. It passed.
"Don't inhale it, you'll just make yourself sick," Naoya stated. He held up the cup again, and the coughing didn't return.

K1 gave a small smile before turning to Naoya. "How much of the return program did you get done? I kinda wanna get home as soon as possible... I don't want to leave everyone in the Lockdown like that for much longer."
He paused before adding. "I mean, I know time passes differently here, but still..."

Naoya stepped back, the cup now empty, "Tonight at the latest. But we can't leave until Kaini is more able to travel."
"....passes differently?" Kaini said after a few moments.
Naoya looked up and nodded, "I don't know the exact algorythm, but from what I can tell it hasn't been more than a few minutes since we left."
"Is it that important...?"
Naoya frowned, "Keiichi, you tell him."
He was, of course, referring to the deadline. -----
Yuugi poked at the noodles in the pot with a wooden spoon. A few more minutes. He grabbed the flavoring off the shelf and glanced towards the wall that seperated the kitchen from the bedroom. Atem really was out.

K1 sighed. "Back home, it's currently the seventh day of the lockdown. On the seventh day, originally, at 18:00, that is, six PM, they were going to kill everyone in the lockdown. You lived in America, so I don't know if you're familiar with Japan's PSE Laws. Basically, these laws made it that all electronics had to be approved by the government. All of the electronics had these chips in them that could put off radio waves. The government was planning on ending the lockdown by basically setting off all of those chips at once, turning Tokyo into a giant microwave. Originally the deadline was at 18:00, but they decided to change it to 12:00... everyone is going to die soon back home if we don't take control of the demons. Because the demons are the whole reason the lockdown happened."
He went quiet. This was the whole reason he had joined Naoya on this crazy revenge plot against God. Just so he could save everyone and make sure something like this didn't happen again.

Kaini's eyes widened. The Japanese government, which he honestly knew jack about, was going to fry Tokyo because of all this? It was true, he didn't know about the PSE laws. Honestly, he didn't know what the hell Keiichi was talking about there. But...
"...how does that connect to all of this? That angel said Man would lose his free will..."
Naoya scowled, "God is using the Lockdown as an excuse for a trial. He's pissed because Man has gotten past the incident at the Tower of Babel with the Internet. He claims He wants Man to rise above itself, but whenever they get close He throws a hissy fit. He wants to lord over his 'creations'. If He can't do that with their consent, He'll take away their free will," Naoya set the cup down and crosses his arms, "If Man passes this trial, there will be more. He even tried to get Keiichi to be His figurehead via His angels. The options are an endless cycle of trials, a world where the slightest transgression gets you enternal punishment, or God dies. I asked you before if you knew what coming with us meant. Now I'm telling you directly. We're waging war on God."
Kaini's eyes had gotten progressively wider during the whole conversation. He opened his mouth, but turned away and hesitated. God... wasn't He omniscient? He looked back at Naoya, who was maintaining his steady gaze. He looked at Keiichi, perhaps hoping for some kind of reaction that would indicate Naoya was exaggerating...

There was nothing in K1's face that suggested otherwise, though. He looked his brother in the eye as he said his next bit.
"We're completely serious about this. I don't want to see humanity put through all of these worthless trials anymore. So many people have already died because of the lockdown... I don't want more to die later on for no reason at all... If that means we'll have to wage war against God, then I'll do it." He paused. "Do you smell something burning?"
K1 jumped up. "Our breakfast!" Without a second thought, he ran out of the room and into the kitchen.

If Naoya had been the type to sweatdrop, he probably would have as Keiichi practically flew out of the kitchen. Kaini looked panicked as Naoya sat down, which earned an annoyed glare followed by a sigh.
"Relax. You're worried I'm going to attack you. I'm not," he stated. Still sounded annoyed.
Kaini opened his mouth to object, but hesitated and chose to say something else, "I'm sorry... this is a lot to process."
"You were raised Christian, correct?"
"Wait, how...?"
"It doesn't take a genius with how you were ready to start the Crusades on me and Keiichi," Naoya leaned back in his chair, "For what you went through at the castle, you have the right to ask a few questions. Don't waste them on things Keiichi can answer."
Kaini paused, "How... how are you...?"
Naoya scowled, "Cain? How am I Cain? Reincarnation is the simple answer. Same goes for how Keiichi is Abel and you're Seth. How do I know?" The scowl deepened, bordering on rage, "That power hungry overlord man calls God. I remember everything. Every life I have ever lived, I remember. Abel doesn't have that curse, and obviously neither do you."
Kaini hesitated, "I... I remember more than you... realize..."
Naoya raised an eyebrow, "What do you mean?"
Kaini turned away and didn't say anything. Cain wasn't who he wanted to tell this to. But before he had been hung on that cross... neither he nor Belphegor had known whose soul he bore. And he'd only been on that cross for just over two days. Missing for five... his face contorted with the painful memories.

K1 cringed at the inside of the pot. The water had all evaporated away, causing the rice to burn and stick to the pot. That had been the last of their rice, too... well, THIS sucked.
He sighed and grabbed the pot, heading back into the bedroom, holding the pot so that everyone inside could see the inside of the pot.
"I don't know about you, but I don't think this is edible," K1 said dejectedly. He looked up at Kaini and Naoya before remembering what they had been talking about. This was no time for rice. He stayed standing in the doorway and watched on.

"If you were waiting, he's here," Naoya said. It was more transparent than freshly cleaned glass that Kaini didn't really trust him. He was with the group for Keiichi, not him. He scrunched his face up a bit at the smell of burnt rice. Keiichi really was rattled. The teen was all but a chef in the kitchen and he had managed to destroy a pot in his distraction. He glanced back at Kaini a bit before getting to his feet, "I'll get you more water."
It would be clear to Keiichi that he was letting the twins be alone. Kaini looked up a bit puzzled at Naoya's actions. Actually, he felt like going back to sleep but wanted to get this off his chest... Keiichi wanted to know, although he was probably telling himself he didn't. It was how he would react, the younger teen told himself.
"You're... probably wondering about the way I freaked out back at the castle... I mean, I showed I knew about Cain... and you..."
He looked up at the pot. Keiichi may have called it inedible but at this point Kaini was willing to try anything. Although it did smell bad. And rice, at least of this variety, wasn't supposed to be... black...ish. Really, it probably wouldn't even make good bait at this point.

K1 looked down. "I just thought you figured it out on your own, really. Belphegor was probably spouting 'Cain this' and 'Abel that...' Wouldn't surprise me."
At the moment, K1 was just grateful Kaini wasn't asking WHY he was following Naoya, even knowing about Naoya's past. To K1, it was obvious, but most other people didn't get it...

"....well, the basics I did. You're friends, that one guy that could be our brother confirmed the thing about Abel. And I had Cain figured out thanks to other things," Kaini shook his head. If his brother's expression changed at the mention of Minato, he didn't notice, "....but it didn't really have a chance to sink in. And it doesn't explain the about me. You know, Seth... wait, do you know?"
Kaini paused for a moment. Sure enough, he couldn't easily remember if that had come out. He'd been having such trouble sorting his past life from his present thanks to Belphegor that... he didn't remember it ever coming up. He'd passed out and...
(OOC: As in his player totally just realized that Kaini wasn't there when K1 and Naoya learned. XD)
