K1's expression darkened. "He's only trying to help, Kaini." He sighed and picked the bandages up. "Hold up your arms so I can wrap these around you." With how extensive the injuries were, that would really be the only way to do it.
As he slowly worked at bandaging Kaini's injuries, K1 said, "Don't blame me if these don't fit well, or they don't stay on or anything like that. I've never done this before." And it showed. They didn't quite wrap neatly, and he had to wrap around again to get some parts he'd missed. At one point, he'd actually dropped the one he'd been holding. "Oops. Sorry."

Kaini didn't say anything, but he did avert his gaze as Keiichi spoke. He didn't like Cain... but Keiichi trusted him implicitly. He'd have to keep that in mind. He raised his arms carefully at his brother's request.
Kaini looked down at where the bandage feel. He would have gotten it but it would have caused what wrapping Keiichi had done to come undone. He finally managed to find words, though.
"It doesn't have to be neat... I just don't want to get blood all over your shirt," he paused. He felt awkward... it's not like there are exactly classes for how to talk to the twin you never knew you had, "Um... do you have anyone waiting for you back in Japan? Or is it just you and Ca-I mean Naoya?"
And there went the memories again. It didn't help that he made no effort to think of Cain as Naoya in his mind. Whereas with Keiichi he tried to focus on using that name, Cain was Cain.

K1 stopped as Kaini brought up their Japan. It had been a rather abrupt stop. After a moment, he started wrapping Kaini's wounds again. "Yeah. My friend Atsuro Kihara and Tadashi Nikaido. Er, just call him Kaido. Oh, and Mari Mochizuki. Can't forget her."
He stopped again. "Atsuro's a good friend of mine. Even after Yuzu left when I decided to go with Naoya, Atsuro stayed with me. And Kaido... he's more a friend of Naoya's than he is of mine. He's the guy who killed Keisuke-- er, Keisuke was a good friend of Atsuro and Midori's. Especially Midori's. And Mari was Atsuro's tutor a while ago. I think she dated Kaido's brother... well, until Kudlak killed Kaido's brother. But yeah."
He started back up wrapping his brother's wounds. Finally, he reached up to the highest point he could wrap and tied the bandages. "There. That should be good."

Kaini hesitated as he mentioned that the murderer of one of his friends' best friends was ranked among his own friends. He didn't know if he could work with someone like that. Then again, he was on the same team as his brother's killer... in a really mind screw sort of way. It was probably one of those shades of grey things, but it was still a lot to deal with.
He spun his upper body in a semi-circle a few times. For all Keiichi's lack of confidence, the bandages seemed secure enough. He looked lost in thought for a moment before walking over to the shirt. He picked it up and looked at it before turning to Keiichi.
"I didn't really have good friends. I guess Peter counted... everyone considered me a momma's boy, so I was lucky if they didn't tease me," he hesitated, "Hey, what are we going to do about our parents? I understand that we can't really talk to them until after this whole Bel thing, but mom's gonna freak when I don't come home."
Are you kidding? She's gonna freak when she realizes you've been in Japan. With the twin she never told you about. And with the Bel thing, she's gonna freak even more. I can just see it... "Hi mom. I found my brother and he's Abel's reincarnation and I'm Seth's and we're working with Cain to kill God. How was your day?"
Keiichi would have to be blind to miss Kaini's wince at that thoughtframe. He quickly lifted the shirt and went about carefully pulling it over his head to hide his expression.

K1 looked down. "We can worry about that after we lift the Lockdown. Our parents won't matter to us anymore if we're microwaved to death. They won't have to worry about a little thing called free will either." It was impossible to miss the bitterness in K1's voice as he said this.
He sighed. "With all of this stuff, I forgot about my wallet. You wanna come with me while I look for it?" He turned back toward Kaini.

Kaini finished pulling the sweater over his head, "I didn't even know you'd lost it. I mean, yeah, I would. Like to come I mean."
The thought that Cain might mind did cross his thoughts. But he quite frankly didn't care. He paused, "Hey... I haven't told you yet. My COMP stopped responding after the Belphegor thing. At least in regards to summoning angels and such. Its just a normal COMP now... Should I grab it anyhow?"
He wondered if Keiichi would ask why... he had a feeling he knew why, he was willing to explain it. It was humorous in an ironic fashion. It was why the fact that he couldn't see the numbers that the angels had called Death Clocks over peoples heads anymore hadn't surprised him - He had no idea that once he'd joined Keiichi the numbers would have vanished even if the COMP still functioned as a modded one.

K1 had been heading for the door as Kaini had said that. He raised an eyebrow. "It stopped working? Oh yeah, the angels gave you your COMP. I don't think they liked you joining me too much. Yeah, just leave it here, you won't need it." He actually couldn't remember if Kaini had actually told him that little fact, but it hadn't taken much to figure it out.
K1 opened the door to the apartment and headed out after making sure Kaini was following after. "It's not really that important, but I really don't want to lose it. Plus, there's this item in it that I used to defeat Beldr. I don't know if Babel will have the same weakness or not."
Now, normal people put cellphone straps on their cell phones. Normal people don't fight demons who are weak to artificial mistletoe.

"It probably stopped working as soon as I made up my mind," Kaini said as he nodded in confirmation to Keiichi's educated guess.
He stuck close to his twin as they made their way down the hall. Belphegor had been right about one thing. Even though "Seth"'s faith had been shooken to the point of completely shattering, he had a strong spirit. It was only slightly apparent he was having to work at keeping up with Keiichi. He said nothing about it, though, and hoped Keiichi wouldn't react to it.
He thought for a few moments if he could come up with a topic that wouldn't be sensitive, but abandoned the thought about halfway down the stairs to the second floor. He wanted some answers, "Hey, K1?" he didn't want to call his brother as Keiichi anymore, and his nickname was the only alternative to using an honorific. Well, and Abel, but Kaini liked that less than Keiichi, "You said something about Babel, right? Is that the same Babel as that Tower in the Bible?"
(OOC: Naoya route crash course - Loki told K1 right before the Belial fight about it. Basically, Babel went up agains Yehowah (aka God) and lost, and God split him into many pieces, which became the Bel demons. It took the demons a while to become aware again, but as they did they all really really wanted the old power of Babel back - all of them had a revenge quest against God as well.
As for Loki, I argue that Naoya knows or at least suspects his demonic self, but to stick to canon K1 would just know him as that "creepy vanishing guy in the purple suit" although he might use the "Gigolo" description. XD)

K1 kept walking as he talked. "Y'know, I'm not really sure. Everything's just been one big mess lately. ...Plus I don't really know much about the Bible. I just read part of it for class, and I failed that test anyways." He scratched his head. "But that weird demon guy-- I think he was a demon, he sure didn't have a Death Clock-- said that Babel was essentially the original Bel demon. Babel and God fought, God won, and God tore Babel into a bunch of pieces that became the Bel demons I had to fight. Apparently they awakened to their true selves as Bel demons recently which is why the War started... up..."
He trailed off. This was the first time he'd really thought about the Bel's origin story. Abel counted as a Bel "demon" too, even though he was human, right? So Eve had given birth to a demon? All of those people over the world were demons at heart? As the Lockdown got worse, did they suddenly start having flashes of memory?
He involuntarily shuddered. ...Someone... had said he was the only Abel who could win the Throne now. (Who had said that? When had they said that?) The others were probably normal people living normal lives.
He rubbed his head, and tried to make his expression go back to normal. He didn't need to worry Kaini now.

Which could be called operation unsucessful. Kaini looked extremely concerned. He forced himself to pick up his speed a little, "...You okay? Its not a big deal if you don't know everything about it."
Kaini decided to change the subject, "Do you know where to start looking for your wallet?"

K1 sighed. "Sorry... It's been a while, I guess. Oh, uh, right, the wallet. If someone hasn't picked it up, it's probably still on the stairs. If someone did pick it up, they probably dropped it off in the Lost and Found at the front office." Or, worst case scenario, Minato's got it.
That little lapse of memory before was more than just trouble remembering something. He literally couldn't remember who'd told him some pretty mindblowing info. That was not normal.
To tell the truth, he hadn't been feeling like himself since the Belphegor fight either. He hadn't noticed it earlier, but as the day went on, he was starting to notice it.

Kaini didn't look any less concerned. Truth was, he looked more so.
"Do you want to go back? I can check the Lost and Found for you and come right back... Actually, we look enough alike they'd probably give the wallet to me thinking I was you."
Kaini couldn't sense auras. But Keiichi seemed to be confused and his stance kept shifting. One moment it would seem like the way Naoya held himself, the next like Keiichi, the next like his body was halfway between, almost as if it was having trouble deciding. The Bel thing was between demons... Kaini looked pained as he turned away. It was Abel... he didn't even think of Abel as the brother murdered by Cain now. He thought of him as, to put it in Keiichi's words, a Bel demon. Its not like he'd ever met human Abel, anyhow.
"Really, its alright. You look tired," he said without waiting for an argument.

He felt tired. K1 started rubbing his head again. "...Yeah. That'd be great." He smiled up at Kaini before looking back toward Naoya's room. "I think I'll go lay down... I'm not feeling too good."
That was putting it simply. He felt like shit, to put it in rather vulgar terms. It had come upon him so quickly too.
It was probably just stress.

Kaini returned the smile, but it was forced. He watched Keiichi all but stumble back up the stairs and made sure he turned the corner on his floor before heading quickly down the stairs. He had to make sure Keiichi got through all this. Abel was guaranteed to, but Keiichi...
The teenager wasn't watching where he was going and managed to run right into Naoya. The man looked unamused as Kaini winced from the shock the solid bump had caused. He looked up and narrowed his eyes at Cain.
"...how much do you know about what's going on?"
Naoya said nothing.
"Don't ignore me! You know what's happening to K1, right!?"
"I have no intention of answering that. If you're heading to look for his wallet, don't bother. I already checked. I'm fairly certain Yuugi has it. Minato went to Tartarus to die, he would have given it to someone he knew would return it."
Kaini looked away, irritated. He turned around and headed back up the stairs. Naoya stood where he was a for a few moments before following up. The bedding was in the washing machine of the laundry room. He'd take care of it in about thirty minutes, which is when the machine would stop.
Yuugi, Atem, and Souji wouldn't be back in the morning, either...

((LET'S DO THE TIME SKIP AGAIN!))
K1 had really been tired. He actually managed to sleep to the next day, and it had only been about 9 o'clock when he'd went to bed the previous night. It was now about eight in the morning. He yawned and climbed out of bed, grabbing his COMP from off the nightstand as usual. For once he didn't have to grab his headphones from off of it as well; he'd fallen asleep without taking them off.
He looked over at Kaini, who had fallen asleep in the same chair K1 had the night they'd brought Kaini home. Someone had draped a comforter over the chair before Kaini had fallen asleep there. Probably Naoya.
As K1 walked out of the bedroom (after pulling on some pants; he wasn't going to wander around the apartment in his boxers, he had enough decency to not do that), it struck him that the silence from next door was almost eerie... they should have been awake by now.
And then K1 realized that something was horribly, horribly wrong.
