"Are you his older broth-" the woman paused. If they were related, it had to be half-siblings or something. The two had nothing in the way of family resemblance going on. Yuugi sighed as he got up from gathering the fifteen cards on the ground, tucking them into the small box before returning his attention to the woman.
"It's not fake. I'm sixteen. I know I don't look it," Yuugi said, "He's my friend. We're not related." He seemed to be grateful K1 had shown up.
"Well.. that doesn't look like an elementary school uniform... but you still play card games?"
Yuugi frowned, "What does that have to do with age?"
(OOC: LOTS. At least according to the kids I went to High School with. No high schooler plays YGO or Pokemon. They play Magic. Cause apparently Magic is the only popular card game adults play. -.-)

K1 frowned as well. "Hey, speak for yourself." He pointed to the woman's purse. "Most adults don't try to carefully hide a copy of..." He tilted his head to try to read the english on the cartridge sticking out of the purse. "'Hello Kitty Roller Blade Adventures.'" He raised an eyebrow before turning back to Yuugi.
"You find anything to wear yet?" K1 asked.

The woman paled and quickly walked away without saying anything else. Yuugi sighed and turned to K1, "Thanks. I usually don't get that much hassle, but it's either my mom shopping or I've got Anzu with me. She's good at giving people a piece of her mind. But to answer your question... no. I mean, not stuff that I gene-" Yuugi paused, he seemed to have noticed something past K1, "Excuse me a second."
He made sure K1 had heard him before walking off to a small display. It still wasn't in his most general style, but it was the kind of thing he'd wear casually on occasion. And it appeared to be his size, which was quite the relief. He turned back towards the blue-haried teen, "Have you found anything?"

K1 nodded before running back to the other end of the store and coming back holding... more sweaters. At least the pants he had picked to go along with these sweaters weren't pink like the ones he was wearing. Still, the uniformity of the sweaters was humorous and sad at the same time.
"I didn't really see much else I liked," K1 admitted.

Yuugi chuckled, "I know the feeling. I get teased for wearing my school uniform so much, actually. Its just easier than changing after school every day."
Yuugi had two sleeveless shirts, two vests, and a pair of slightly faded jeans. The shirts were black and navy while the vests were dark grey and tan. He glanced at the counter, "You ready to go?"
Whatever funk Yuugi had been in less than half an hour earlier seemed to be gone. It was more than likely due to Atem having woken up, but that was more humorous than anything else. He waited for K1's answer.

K1 nodded, and walked up to the counter before putting his clothes up on there. He waited for Yuugi, though, since the spikey-haired teen was the one who was actually paying.

Yuugi was actually right behind K1. Thankfully, the woman from before wasn't at the register. A middle-aged man took the clothes and entered the numbers into the machine. He read off the cost to Yuugi, and it probably surprised K1 at how much money was in the teen's wallet. It kind of looked like he'd held up an ATM or something. Another interesting fact that except for a few thousand yen tucked to the back, it was all American.
Yuugi had to focus for a bit to get the right amount, indicating that despite the cash, he wasn't used to American currency. He placed the change in his wallet after receiving it and took the bags. It was entirely possible K1 was staring at him by now, wondering where he got the money from.

K1 gaped at the ridiculous amount of money Yuugi had. Mostly, he was wondering where it all had come from. As they walked out of the store, he said, "I'll carry my bags, if that's alright."

Yuugi noticed the open mouthed stare. Once they were out, K1 asked his question. Yuugi looked rather relieved and handed the two bags holding K1's clothes to him.
"I got the money from Michael... You probably heard me and Minato-kun talking about him. He's the one Minato-kun refers to when he's talking about strings..." Yuugi trailed off. That still threw him, "Anyhow, do you want to change? There are some bathrooms over there."
It was a pretty transparent attempt at a topic change, really.

"...'Strings?'" K1 repeated. In any case, he nodded. "Yeah, I really need to--" He stopped as they walked past a Radio Shack. There was an interesting looking poster on the front of the store.
"'Now Selling! COMPS and COMP accessories!'" K1 read off of the poster. "Be right back!"

Yuugi stopped and looked confused as K1 walked off. He turned towards the poster K1 had seen and saw the COMP advertisement. He walked up to it as K1 went into the store and read about it. A wireless internet game system, huh? He smiled. They didn't have anything like that back in his world.
Then again, he supposed it had to do with Kaiba Corporations Duel Ring systems. Most people had lost interest in a lot of handheld stuff when the ability to battle monsters with a holographic system had been released. He wondered if Kaiba had any plans to make a wireless version of the system. He glanced towards the door, hoping K1 had the money to buy the chargers.

It seemed so, as K1 ran back out a few moments later holding a white bag. "I bought us each a charger, and a handheld one in case of emergencies." The handheld one somewhat resembled a large pencil sharpener, though it had a plug on it that visibly plugged into a COMP.

Yuugi nodded, smiling, "Those systems are more advanced than any handheld game systems my world has. We don't even have wireless, unless you count the capabilities of some computers. Not in handheld gaming systems, though."
Yuugi looked at the stuff K1 had given him for a moment, nodding inwardly. He actually was more than capable of talking to Atem outloud, but it tended to raise eyebrows. He pulled out the COMP and the charger and sat on a bench, "So, what else can these do?"
He was rotating the hand charger as he asked. It was probably pretty clear to K1 what he meant. Normal wireless gaming systems didn't exactly summon demons, and both Yuugi and Atem suspected they could do more.

K1 sat down on the bench as well. "They can send emails... I think they can get on the internet... I think they can play games too. I don't know about that last one, though."
It'd had been a while since he'd used a non-modded COMP, after all.

Yuugi paused the winding, "Oh, I know that. I read the poster," he pointed towards the display on the wall, "But I mean the other stuff. Or is demon summoning all it can do? How does that work, anyways?"
The spiky-haired teen hadn't really done anything with the COMP aside from checking and sending a few e-mails. He hadn't even noticed the locked folder. Fact was, he wasn't really used to a lot of technology. His grandfather didn't even have a Laser Disc system or computer. The most advanced technology he had used were the Duel Rings, and they were about as user friendly as one could get.
