Yuugi winced a bit at the fact that the televisions of this world connected to what Souji called "TV World". It meant these cases would likely continue. When Souji questioned his comments, he looked a bit surprised as well, but realization flicked across his eyes. He had used phrases like "mou hitori no boku" and such, and the mere fact that he'd said he couldn't summon a Persona after last night's events was more than enough evidence. He looked towards K1 and waved his hands in a way to indicate it wasn't a big deal.
"It was my other self," Yuugi replied, holding up the Millenium Puzzle, "He usually rests in here. But I can talk to him at any time and he can come out if the situation requires it."
(OOC: Poor deleted security guard being the victim of misconceptions based around dramatic irony.)

K1 relaxed a little bit.
"...You call him your other self?" Souji asked. "That's similar to a shadow in that regard. Though a shadow using a persona isn't unheard of." After all, Teddie could use a persona, and he was a shadow.

Yuugi opened his mouth to adamantly argue that point, but paused. The memories of shortly after he solved the Puzzle impacted kind of hard. He shook the thoughts out of his head and managed to come up with an argument, "My other self is... well, was an Ancient Egyptian Pharaoh."
"Partner, what's wrong? You got panicky for a moment there,"
"He called you a Shadow and... Back before I acknowledged you..."
Atem frowned. It was no question what Yuugi was remembering. Atem had still been a bit disorientated then, and acting more on Yuugi's suppressed emotions than anything else. He'd never really brought it up to Yuugi, but the punishments and the Games of Darkness had been a result of Yuugi's suppressed desires. It wasn't that Atem regretted the actions, but they had been rather harsh.
"K1-kun things I'm his reincarnation, but I haven't been able to make sense of that..." Yuugi said, forgetting how touchy the subject was in his flustered state.
Atem paused for a moment. He hadn't thought about that for a while. But with the occurances around Temu, he had to admit it made him think of something. He made a mental note to talk to Yuugi about the concept of soul in his time later.

"A pharoah?" Souji repeated. "That's interesting. And I'm not really sure about the reincarnation part either. Wouldn't that mean that it would just be you, and there would be no him?"
"I have no idea," K1 said. "I'm still trying to make sense of it myself."
"In any case, I'm fairly sure the security guard escaped into the TV World. I don't know how I'm going to be able to get in there to do a rescue mission, though, because once you go in, you can't get out without help," Souji explained. "But I'll have to hurry if I do go in there. It's supposed to rain soon."

Yuugi nodded, but paused for a moment. He looked a little confused, but it quickly cleared up, "My other self says he has a theory, actually. In relation to his Persona," Yuugi shook his head to indicate he was moving on, "Does the other person have to have a Persona? I mean the one to help you get out."
Actually, Yuugi could offer to help either way with Atem having Temu. But the thought of Shadows and Persona still worried him a bit.

Souji nodded. "Not just any persona, though. It has to be a special type of support Persona. If it weren't for that, I would have already gone in there myself."
"Sounds like fun," K1 commented. He sighed. "I don't even know if my COMP will work in the TV World anyways. It didn't work during the Dark Hour."
"It should," Souji said. "I'm not completely sure why they don't work during the Dark Hour, but cell phones and the such still work in the TV World, even if they don't get any reception."

"Oh," Yuugi replied. It was really all he could think to say. He remembered Temu from the night before, and the Persona had been about as far from "support" as one could be.
Atem looked at Yuugi with concern. He could tell his partner wanted a subject change, but this was rather important. Neither of them wanted someone else to die for inability to act. Yuugi looked like he was deep in thought, "Are there any other options? If its going to rain soon..."

"...the fog will come, and the guard will die." Souji finished. "This leaves us with a dilemma, though."
"Wait a minute..." K1 said. "Yuugi, could you hand me the hand crank for the COMP? I have an idea."

Yuugi looked concerned and almost missed K1's request. He jumped a bit and nodded, handing the charger to K1. He had been about to ask what they could do, but K1 seemed to have an idea.
"What do we do if we find him, though? I mean, if he really killed that shop owner?"
Thing was, Yuugi kind of had doubts about that. Atem nodded at the thoughts Yuugi sent him. Basically, if the TV World could kill, what had been the point of cutting the victim's throat. It didn't makes sense to him. He turned back to K1 and waited for the COMP to come up.

"We hand him over to the police," Souji said. "Plain and simple."
K1 was winding the hand charger as fast as he could. "I think Kikuri-Hime can substitute for a support-type Persona in this case."
"That's actually a good idea," Souji said.

Yuugi nodded, but didn't seem convinced. He was trying to figure out how to word his issues with the situation. Atem stayed quiet, knowing that at times like these it was better for Yuugi to work through the situation himself.
And honestly, Yuugi was scared of the TV World. Atem wished his partner wouldn't be. He'd be there with him, after all. Although it was beginning to look like one of those cases where he needed to let Yuugi sink or swim.
A thought occured to Yuugi, "You know his demons?"

"Kikuri-Hime is a Persona where I come from that speciallizes in healing skills. I don't have one, though." Souji explained. He hadn't had a Kikuri-Hime for a while, having used it as fusion fodder to make into a new, better persona.
K1's COMP flashed on. "There we go!" He scrolled through a couple screens on the COMP before getting to Kikuri-Hime, and pressing a button. The demon flew out of the COMP and appeared next to K1.
"What is it, Master?" Kikuri-Hime asked.
"We require your help, Kikuri-Hime," Souji said. "We need you to maintain an exit from the TV World when we enter there."

"Oh, the Persona are like the demons? Are demons shadows?" Yuugi was obviously very confused at this point. He sighed and decided he needed to bring up his other point, "I was thinking... if the TV World can kill so easily, what was the point of cutting the guy's throat before pushing him in?"
In Yuugi's defense, he didn't really know much about the area other than it sounded rather scary. He wasn't aware that people could be killed in the World by others in the World or anything of the sort. And honestly, he was still trying to rationalize his way out of the situation. He felt the coward for it.
"Partner, you don't have to do this if you don't want to,"
"I'm not sure why, but I think there's more to it than K1-kun and Seta-kun are seeing. I want to make sure. Beyond that, I can't hide from this forever. I want to help my friends,"
Atem nodded. He understood where Yuugi was coming from despite feeling a little more protective than usual. He'd leave it at that for now.

"He likely didn't know that the shadows in the TV World could kill on their own," Souji explained. He looked around. "There's a large TV in that Radio Shack over there. Let's go."
Souji, K1, and Kikuri-Hime walked into the Radio Shack. It looked like there was a large flatscreen TV they could use. Souji walked over to the TV, and stuck his hand onto it, or rather, into it, as it sunk into the TV like the screen was made of liquid, to the point where it began rippling black and white rings.
"Go ahead on in," Souji said. K1 stared at the screen.
"What, do we just climb in or something?" K1 asked. Souji nodded. K1 gulped and walked over to the TV, putting his hand on the screen as well. He ended up putting too much force on it, though, and tripped when his hand sunk through like there was no screen there, and he fell headfirst through.
"Master!" Kikuri-Hime almost screamed.
"He's alright. It's not that long of a fall," Souji said. "You go on in too."

Yuugi paled a bit, but nodded. He kept telling himself he'd seen odder things. He tried to lighten his mood by thinking about Kaiba's reaction to such a thing, but it only made him more depressed. At least he had the sense to see if anyone was watching before carefully placing his hand on the screen. He'd seen K1's inward fall, and so his entry was far more gentle. He vanished in the normal manner.
When his eyes opened he quite literally fell backwards, hurting his tailbone as he hit the hard dirt floor. He'd expected a lot of things from this world, but not this.
His grandfather had often told stories of when he was younger and exploring ancient tombs. He'd spent quite some time in Egypt, and it was apparently there he had found the Puzzle. This place rather strongly reminded Yuugi of those stories. Only darker. And stuffier.
He was in a fairly narrow hallway, and wasn't even quite sure how he could see. There were no natural lights, it was almost as if the area was giving off its own paranormal glow. The walls appeared to be made out of stone, and things the teen recognized as hieroglyphics were on the walls. Atem was still there and rather aware. Yuugi slowly pushed himself to his feet while the Pharaoh looked closely at the hieroglyphics.
"K-K1-kun?" Yuugi stuttered. He'd feel a lot better if the blue haired teen were there. The place... felt like death, really. And he could tell it was stirring up some kind of memories in his other self, despite the pharaoh's attempts to hide them. He'd almost finished the section of hieroglyphics on the wall.
