((OOC: Another one of Mugen and I's big plot threads. So yeah, Invite Only as usual. If you want in, you better have a fairly good knowledge of Shin Megami Tensei in general, and to be specific, the Persona series and Devil Survivor.))
The trio had arrived at the mall soon enough. Souji had lead the way there, and was currently making a beeline for the electronics store from before. Once again, he'd somehow well hidden his sword. It was a bit ridiculous how he could do it, considering his sword was nearly as tall as he was.
The stores at El Grande Mall were fairly empty today for once. It was possible the murder recently had scared off all of the customers. The Food Court had been closed for police investigations after all.
K1 felt like crap. He couldn't think of anything to comfort Yuugi, and Souji didn't seem to be helping matters at the moment.

Back at the apartments, Souji had said something that had really upset Yuugi. Only in the deepest reaches of his psyche could he get pissed about things like that. But what with the recent events, those reaches weren't as deep as they used to be. He was almost glad that Atem wasn't there. Had he not been depressed, he likely would have snapped at Souji. Then again, if Atem had been there, the whole situation would have occured.
For those outside the situation, it was fairly obvious Souji hadn't meant it the way Yuugi had interperted. Souji had said that he didn't need Yuugi to be thankful for helping to rescue Atem. He'd rescue anyone. The innocent. The guilty. Its why he was rescuing Atem. Yuugi had been painfully quiet as they walked to the Mall. It wasn't because he was depressed. It was because, as far as he was concerned, Souji had said Atem was a bad person. That he wasn't helping to save him because he wanted to. But because he had to. As if someone was holding an Evoker to his head.
It was a more awkward silence than usual. It was possible the other teens sensed a change in Yuugi's attitude. He wasn't just depressed... he was upset. In all definitions. -----
Atem had all but collapsed at some point. The dark passages of the tomb. He had no idea what time it was. He'd fallen asleep as well, but it had been a restless sleep. Between the threat of being attacked at any point by shadows and the knot in his chest over Yuugi... he looked down at the Puzzle hanging from his neck. He shook his head. Not Puzzle. Pendant. He'd traced his fingers along the sides. There were no cracks. Something about this world had restored it to its original form.
He heard the voices that he'd started hearing last night again. They were clearer. They were... his. He took in a deep breath, remembering the events of Yuugi's world. What would his shadow say? He gave a dry grin. He probably knew, somewhere he wasn't admitting to himself. He forced himself to his feet. How much longer? It was likely he'd been walking in circles. He looked to the wall.
Partner... Yuugi, I don't know how much time I have...

Souji finally stepped into the electronics store, and easily picked out the large TV they had stepped into before. As it was, he seemed either oblivious to how he'd made Yuugi feel, or he didnt' want to think about it. Once he walked over to the television, he stepped to the side of it.
"Yuugi, you go first," Souji said. "You'll need to guide us through, since it's your reality."
K1 didn't like that world that Souji used. So a suffocating egyptian tomb was Yuugi's life? It was a bit depressing.

Yuugi opened his mouth, but closed it. He wanted to ask how he could activate the portal himself, but if Souji told him to he probably could. And if Adachi could access it, maybe it was connected to the presence of a Persona. He nodded, unable to look Souji in the eyes for a variety of reasons.
He looked around before gingerly touching the television. He drew his hand back quickly as the ripples appeared. He took in a deep breath and pushed his hand through. He quickly climbed in.
o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o
He stepped forward past where he had come in, hoping he didn't step onto some kind of trap. The floor held, and he turned back. Hopefully the fog wouldn't prevent him from seeing the others when they arrived. Souji was the only one with the glasses... how was that going to work? Even with him in the lead...
He closed his eyes and looked down. Souji said that it would be when the fog came to the real world. How long was that. Did he have the strength to ask what the forecast said? What if it was tomorrow? Or tonight? He shook his head, feeling the sting of new tears. He felt like such a wimp...

Souji and K1 both landed next to Yuugi. Souji was wearing his glasses, but he was reaching into his pocket for something. After a moment, he held out two new pairs of glasses.
"I got these custom made after we went into the TV World last time," Souji explained. "They came in the mail last night."
K1 took the pair of blue rimmed glasses and put them on. It seemed these were the real deal; the fog completely disappeared. As it was, K1 was now wondering what these things were made of. "Wow. It's so clear..."
He turned to Yuugi, attemping to lighten things up. "Yuugi, you should try these on!" He had a feeling it was a futile attempt.

Yuugi wiped his eyes and turned towards Souji, taking the glasses. They were blue rimmed like K1's, although the shade was brighter. If he hadn't known Souji had gotten them in the mail, implying he ordered them before the old lady had given them the umbrellas, he would have said Souji had picked the colors based on that. He put them on, remembering their effect from last time.
He didn't really know how he was supposed to guide them through the World. Was he supposed to know his way around. He had heard K1's attempt to lighten things up... he turned towards K1 with a forced smile. It didn't reach his eyes, "I'm not really sure how I'm supposed to help..."
He glanced towards the hie-wait, kanji? He blinked several times, "Seta-kun, do these worlds change?"
They'd been hieroglyphics before, hadn't they? So why...? Yuugi had no idea that the way his mind had been muddled before had effected the way he interperted the world.

Souji turned to face Yuugi. "Not that I've seen, no." He looked at the walls of the tomb. The hieroglyphic-like kanji was still there. "Why do you ask?"

The teen pointed towards the wall, "The writing wasn't Japanese, before..."
Well, to him it hadn't been. Not even to Atem, although the Pharaoh had noticed it was harder to read than it should have been. The real explanation was the dual nature of Yuugi's soul... really, the writing could be perceived as either. The teen turned back to Souji, a puzzled look on his face.

Souji turned back to face Yuugi. "It looked like kanji when we came."
K1 thought about that. "...maybe it's both?" he suggested. Souji shrugged.
"It's entirely possible. In any case, we need to find the exit to this tomb and get out of Yuugi's reality so we can find Atem's," Souji said.

Yuugi's eyes widened. It had only been for a few moments, but his confusion at the wall had made him forget why they were there. He quickly turned away from the group. He felt pretty cried out, but he'd gotten a surge of depression. They were in a narrow hall, and could only go one of two directions for now. He looked towards the wall.
"I don't know my way here... but... maybe that way?"
Yuugi had turned about halfway through speaking and had pointed past Souji and K1. He didn't sound confident, but it was almost as if something was tugging him in that direction. Some part of his mind he couldn't qutie reach... considering the situation, it seemed as good a feeling to follow as any other. If they took too long, it would be detrimental to Atem. He didn't want to be responsible for... he shook his head and forced himself past the other two teens and forward.

Souji and K1 both followed after. K1 was doing his best to keep himself non-depressed but it wasn't really working very well when one of the group had spent the past nine hours crying, and the other in a rage-mode of epic proportions. The burnout from both of those equaled depression, and K1 could practically feel it from where he was standing.
First things first, they needed to find Atem.
At least there didn't seem to be any Shadows wandering around. Or at least, if there were, they weren't showing themselves.

Yuugi was feeling rather underconfident. But his friends were relying on him to help get them out of here. At every junction he would pause for several moments before taking a turn. Obviously unsure. He kept quiet, and was grateful no on was questioning his decisions.
The lack of Shadows bothered him as well, actually. Where were they all? He looked past another junction and had to jerk his hands up as he looked one direction. There was an extremely bright light coming from the end of the hall. Which in itself might have struck Souji as weird. The TV World wasn't known for light...

Souji moved to shield his eyes as well. A bright light... that either was the exit or there was something really bright in the next room. That could be why there weren't any shadows about, though. They tended to avoid areas filled with a lot of light, from what Souji had seen.
"Phew... hey, is it hot in here?" K1 asked. There seemed to be waves of dry heat coming through the door.

(OOC: At least its a DRY heat, right? XDD)
Yuugi seemed more confident about approaching the light than he had in the tomb. It somehow seemed safer out there. He knew nothing about the light repelling shadows, it just seemed less uncomfortable. He shielded his eyes with one hand as he headed out...
And nearly fell off a high ledge. He teetered for a moment and windmilled his arms as his eyes finished adjusting to the change in light level. He looked down and saw sand about five feet down. As the others were likely approaching him, he glanced around.
He was standing in an opening about eight feet tall and about as wide as the passages they had been in. It appeared to be the base of a pyramid. Below him was an area of thicker fog, thick enough that even with the glasses it remaind concealed. But it appeared that the area sloped at an inward angle, almost as if he was standing just above the mid-point of a diamond like shape. If he wanted to get out, he'd have to be careful, especially considering his height.
As for the sky, it was some kind of sky blue-grey and what resembled a sun hung there. It only resembled a sun as it was twice the size it should have been. A thick fog-like distortion seemed to circle the area. Yuugi didn't realize this, but it was actually the barrier to this part of the TV World. Walking through it would lead to another area.

Souji stepped back from the edge. That had been close. It had just dropped off. He'd expected sand, or something, but no, just a drop off into the fog. It looked like they'd need a flying demon or Persona to get down there without falling to their deaths.
At least the wall of fog was familliar. He motioned to it.
"That's probably the way out. We'll have to think of a way to get down there though," Souji said.
"I've got a couple Culebres, they can fly us down... don't think I've got enough to carry all of us," K1 said.
"I've got a few Personae that can fly," Souji said.
