"B-but..." he trailed off as something caught his interest. Something was in a nearby tree. He couldn't tell what it was but it was moving. His curiosity got the best of him as he walked up to the tree and looked up into it's branches. He stared up trying to make out the strange black and purple mass.

Marinia too had noticed something in the tree. "What is that?" she whispered, standing beside him.

"I-I can't tell," he whispered back. Suddenly some strange black bugs began to come out in large numbers. They looked pissed too.

A huge swarm of dark insects had formed around the tree and began chasing them. Bob ran as fast as he could but he was running out of breath.

"Whoa!" he covered his eyes, being afraid of heights but still relieved that he didn't have to run anymore. He was just worried if she could get away. The dark insects were gaining on them too.
Suddenly a big blast of fire shot through the swarm taking out a good third of them. They all stopped moving to find where it came from.

Marinia started to beat he wings harder. Carrying two people plus herself was no easy task.

"What was that?" Bob pointed out the blast.
Another one shot through incinerating another huge chunk of the swarm. They decided it wasn't smart to stick around and the rest flew back to their hive.

Suddenly someone jumped through the bushes.
"What's up? Looked like you needed some help," Mario grinned. He looked a bit tired though.
