Naoto and Kanji had been leading the way to the supermarket near the mall. It wasn't actually inside it, but it was close enough to the mall that most people considered it part of it. During the whole walk there, Naoto and Kanji had been managing to keep up a conversation with Teddie. However, Minato, who had been dragged along due to various circumstances, was still staying mostly quiet and only spoke up when addressed.
He was understandably depressed. He still blamed himself for what had happened with Ryoji. And not only that, but he knew what was coming more than anyone else. So of course he was depressed. He pulled the scarf around his neck a little tighter.
Kanji looked back at Minato one time while the group walked. The guy was obviously still torn up over what had happened with Ryoji. Which was kinda part of why they'd come here in the first place. A good change of subject from the whole Ryoji fiasco.
Naoto and Kanji stopped outside the front of the supermarket. From the outside, it really did resemble Junes. It actually was a lot like Junes, in the same way that Junes was a lot like Wal-Mart. Minato looked up. So, this was the place?

Teddie showed no sense of posterity. He paused when the group stopped, looked at them for a few minutes, and then headed inside the oversized building. Due to the glass doors out front, he was able to turn around and wave to the group. He was also shouting, and a few people were stopping to look at him.
"Come on guys! Minato-kun, you too! Wow, I bet Nana-chan would love it here!" He was beaming.
(OOC: Get them inside the actual store, you. XD)

Kanji smiled as Teddie got really excited at the sight of the store. "Knew bringing him here was a good idea," Kanji said. Naoto nodded, and the two of them headed on in. It took Minato a moment, but he followed after.

Kisa was looking at a display of apples in the grocery department of the second floor of the mall. She did seem to be trying to pick a few good ones, but anyone that observed her for a bit longer than that would realize she was just passing them over in her hands before moving onto the next one. Her outfit was warmer than what she'd worn before. Hooked over her left arm was a shopping basket.
A pale blue dress, this time with long sleeves. The ends had blue belts cuffs with silver straps. Her vest was of a normal shade of denim and didn't have sleeves, but the inside was lined with what looked like thick white fuzz. She had four pockets on the vest, two on either side. They appeared to be lined with the same fuzz, and were held closed with silver snap buttons. Her shoes were more practical then before, and appeared to be white snowboots. She had a somewhat depressed look and her hair fell in front of her face as usual. The resemblance to the woman bearing the similar name was still more than a bit uncanny.
Teddie ran out of the elevator as soon as it stopped. He'd whirled around and waited for his three friends to follow. Kisa paused with an apple at her hand as Teddie came into the area and looked up. She glanced at Teddie for a moment, but looked away as he turned to look at her, more "focused" on the apples then before. It was about the time Naoto and Kanji would be getting off the elevator. Unless Minato had stopped lagging behind, he'd be a few seconds later.
"So what floor is the manager on?" Teddie asked.

Naoto, Kanji, and Minato had all stepped out of the elevator at the same time, Minato having finally sped up to catch up with the other two when they were getting onto the elevator. Naoto and Kanji didn't really notice Kisa as they stepped off, having not seen her before. The two of them walked over to Teddie.
"His office should be on this floor, if I remember right," Naoto said.
Minato blinked at the girl gathering apples. Because he was pretty sure he knew who she was, even with his passing knowledge of the franchise. She totally had to be that chick who Kaiba back in Egypt had gotten the Blue-Eyes White Dragon from. Though... wasn't she supposed to be dead? Then again, so was he.
"Um, hey," Minato walked a little closer to Kisa. Okay, so he was a little curious about what was going on here. So sue him.

Teddie nodded at Naoto's response. He blinked as Minato walked past him and approached the white haired teenager. She looked up when he spoke. Naoto would realize she had been trying not to attract attention before then with her observation skills. It had seemed to start with Teddie. She seemed to consider something for a moment before giving a rather polite bow.
"Hello. Um, can I help you?"
"Hi, I'm Teddie!"
Kisa blinked, "Hello. I'm Shiroi Kisa..."
It wasn't just that she seemed nervous. That was a big part, but Minato had addressed her out of nowhere. And Teddie was being Teddie. But beyond that, she seemed preoccupied. There was quite clearly something on her mind. She wasn't maintaining eye contact with anyone in the group either. She spoke polite Japanese, and used the proper "atashi" self pronoun for her gender.

Minato blinked as Kisa gave her name. Kisa? It certainly sounded similar to Kisara. And she did look like Kisara. And then there was her family name. Shiroi. Sounded too much like "white" for that to be a coincidence. He paused and tried to think of a response to things.
"Sorry, you look familiar. I'm Arisato Minato," Minato said.
Based on how she'd responded, especially with how focused on the apples she'd been observing, Naoto was able to tell that Kisa had been trying to avoid attracting attention before then. It seemed like there was something on this girl's mind as well. Plus, Minato had recognized her from somewhere. Definitely interesting.

Kisa looked a bit worried as Minato said she looked familiar. She was still avoiding eye contact. She glanced at Teddie again before just then realizing she still had an apple in her hand. Without even looking at it she placed it in her basket.
"...familiar? I... how so? I've been getting it a lot lately."
Not that much, Kisa. Just from that man named Seto. Kaiba... he prefers Kaiba. Its not just the connection to the card, either. He seems wrong to be so cold...
"Minato-kun...?" Teddie looked rather confused.

Naoto noted how worried Kisa seemed to get as Minato said she looked familiar. Coupled with her response, Naoto began to get the feeling there was definitely something odd going on with this girl. Kanji was just looking confused.
"You kind of look like this character from a manga I used to read," Minato said. "Her name was Kisara. You know her?"
The more things went on, the more Minato began to wonder about this Kisa girl. She said she'd been getting that a lot lately. So he couldn't have been the only person who thought she looked like Kisara.

Kisara looked embarassed as he mentioned a manga. She didn't read manga. She didn't watch much in the way of television. She was rather over protected, in other words. Then there was the name. Kisara? That was more than a bit odd. She gave a response to Minato's question with a shake of her head.
"I don't read much manga. I really should be going, though," she took a few steps and then paused. She dug into her coat pocket and pulled out the sealed card. She turned towards Minato and lifted it up as she said his name, "Arisato-kun, do you know this card?"

Minato recognized the card alright. It would be hard for him to not recognize it. It was the Blue Eyes White Dragon. One of the more powerful cards in the game, manga, and anime. In fact, the most powerful card in the manga up until the Duelist Kingdom arc hit. And most importantly, Kisara's Ka.
"Yeah. That's that Blue Eyes White Dragon card. Kaiba's signature card and the monster that was Kisara's Ka in that manga I was talking about," Minato said. "Why?"
Naoto finally managed to figure a couple things out. After all, hadn't something happened the previous day when Kaiba tried to summon his Blue Eyes? Atem had said that he needed to use a card that didn't need tributes. But what if it was because of this girl?

Kisa didn't think much that Minato knew the card. Apparently the game was pretty well known in a lot of worlds. She didn't even hear Minato mention Kisara a second time or have the chance to stumble on unfamiliar words. Her grip on the card had tightened a bit as soon as Minato had said Kaiba's name.
"You know Seto-san?"
First name. Something no one seemed to use in canon. It was not an uncommon part about the franchise to forget. She seemed very hesitant, even more than before. Right as someone was about to answer she gave a deep bow, concealing her face with her hair in that manner she had.
"I'm sorry! It's rude to ask!"
She was turning around before straightening up. If someone spoke very fast, they might have a chance to stop her. Then again, she seemed pretty flustered and/or upset about something...

Seto-san. That hadn't been a name Minato had expected to hear. Kaiba, yes. Seto, no. Which, of course, told Minato that she'd encountered Kaiba. Well, that might explain why she was so nervous. Guy was a bit of a douche. And if he'd been bothering her, of course she would be a bit freaked.
"Yeah, he's--" Minato blinked as she bowed and apologized and started pretty much running away. She really did seem flustered. "Hey, wait a minute!"
"Hey, it's okay, you're not bothering anyone," Kanji spoke up. He didn't know what this girl's problem was, but she was annoyingly polite. And she seemed to be freaked out by something.
"Indeed. And besides, I'm curious. You seem nervous," Naoto added.

Kisa stopped short as Minato told her to wait a minute. She looked back towards the group when Kanji spoke. She bit her lip for a moment before taking a step towards the group as she put the card back in her vest. She looked at Naoto as she spoke.
"I guess I am," she said, "I'm sorry, it's really not anything I feel like talking about. It was rude of me to run off like that, though. Arisato-san, you were saying something about... Kaiba-san?"
The change of name usage indicated that earlier had been as slip up. She'd hesitated as well. Teddie couldn't recall having met Seto or Kaiba or whoever they were talking about. He walked up beside Minato and looked between the blue haired teenager and the white haired one.

Minato nodded. Kisa had used Seto before, so it looked like that had been a slip-up.
"Yeah. He's my friend's rival," Minato said. "I saw him around once or twice. He's also the reincarnation of someone who was in love with the person you look like, but that's a bit weird to talk about.
Naoto spoke up again. "Kanji-kun and I encountered him recently. He was trying to summon the creature from that card and failed. And Minato said you looked like someone who had that monster as a sort of being they could summon from their soul."
Naoto had a theory formed. Considering the large amount of people in their little group who were reincarnated from others, it was possible that Kisa was a reincarnation of this Kisara person.
