In Yuugi and Atem's apartment, Atem was awake and looking out the window. The storm clouds seemed to be heading in quickly. It was a miracle it hadn't rained today. In more ways than one, Atem thought to himself. His expression was grim, his face in a deep frown and his forehead creased with worry as he looked at the television. He hadn't asked Abel about help in the TV World. He'd have to do that before tomorrow. The reply he'd gotten about Nyarlathotep had been anything but diplomatic, and it carried the same poor grammar Abel's mails were known for. He said he'd handle it...
Yuugi had wanted to stay up to watch the Midnight Channel. They hadn't talked much, and the shorter teenager was now completely out on the couch. After Bakura, Atem told himself, but he knew not far past the surface that was a lie. After Bakura, then after the Fall. If the Fall claimed them all... he closed his eyes and turned back to the window. He didn't want to take Izanami's offer, Yuugi did. Honda's status was still unknown, and Ishizu and Rishid had been with Malik. Beyond that, Izanami's offer likely didn't extend to Kaiba. Had his Partner realized that...?
There had been some discussion over how sleeping arrangements were going to go. The Apartment really wasn't designed for four people, but Minato was depressive, Jounouchi seemed ready to get into a fight with Souji, and Anzu was clinging near Yuugi and giving nervous glances towards Atem every few seconds. Atem saw what was going on with that. Among the many things they'd need to do soon, their friends would have to be told about that relationship. But as it stood right now, it didn't seem the right time...
In any case, Anzu had actually passed out on the couch before even Yuugi had. Jounouchi was also still awake, but he was in the kitchen. They'd actually had a decent meal that night, Jounouchi had learned to cook due to the conditions of his own life. When he'd made the offer, Atem could tell something else was on his mind. Shizuka, no one had to say it. Even with the explanation of the Island and the time flow, Jounouchi had gotten rather... animated after that. Trying to keep himself busy. Even now, he was cooking something in the kitchen. Atem finally released the blinds to the window and walked there to see if he could help him. If he kept it up, he'd wake both Anzu and Yuugi.
----------
Teddie had been unusually depressive the rest of the day. He'd finally passed out, in human form, on the couch about an hour ago at 10 PM. This was similar to how he'd acted when Nanako had been injured, really. It was clear he blamed himself. Even worse, he knew he couldn't go back to his home tomorrow. Minato didn't want Abel's help, and Teddie didn't want to rely on someone Souji disliked... but the only other option was to let Bakura die. He'd never forgive himself if that happened...
----------
Nyarlathotep stood on the stairs just outside of Souji's floor. He wasn't keeping a direct eye on the god or his avatar. He'd realized after a day or two of observation that if something worth reporting happened, this position would be just fine. Him and his friends were anything but quiet when it came to newsworthy material. Earlier that day, Abel had sent him a summons. No words, it was never needed among demons. Simply a wave of energy. Nyarlathotep had ignored it. If he was being contacted in that fashion, odds were Abel had not approved of his actions in the 'TV World' as the humans seemed to call it. Fair enough. If Abel wanted to speak to him he would hunt him down, and from there he could feign ignorance about the call.
After all, the King's energies had seemed somehow muted, and what he knew of the Keiichi before attaining the Throne, there would be self doubt there. The bluff would work well enough. He didn't want to leave his post until Souji fell asleep, and observation had told him the teen seemed to prefer to remain awake during the Dark Hour.
The demon smirked to itself. He knew what would play on the television that night. After all, he had a better understanding of the suppressed subconscious than any of the group knew. Even Izanagi would only have suspicions. The Shinto gods never did bother would the foreign ones, after all... let alone ones only known of in legend, not culture. Aspect or no, he still identified with his whole. ----------
About a block away from the Apartments, Kaiba was walking. He didn't bother staying in well lit areas or areas occupied by the night life of the Island. He wasn't sneaking through alleys or anything of the sort, he simply wasn't going out of his way to be careful. One hand was in the pocket of his suit with his deck, the other was looking at three identical cards. All displaying one monster, and the only three in existance at his homeworld. Well, that mattered. Torn cards were hardly tournament legal and that idiot grandfather of Yuugi's wasn't the type to actually use that kind of power.
He clenched his left hand around the deck in his pocket, and his subconscious prevented the squeeze on the three cards in his hand. The power that he seemed unable to use with that girl in this dimension. Kisa. One kana away from Kisara. That annoyed him to levels he had trouble describing. She clearly thought of him as that Priest that had served under Atem, Set. He wasn't that man, and he would not allow his present life to be dictated by possible past ones.
----------
About two blocks away, Kisa was running through the alleys. Her long white hair trailed behind her in a river-like stream. In the shadows it looked shades of blue, the actual white color only flashing as she passed through various light sources. Seto was in danger. She didn't know why she knew, she never did with her visions, but Seto was in danger and his death was a high possibility if she just left the situation alone.
It was an odd sense for her, because it hadn't just been the sense that he was in danger. The sense had been wrapped in a dream she'd had just an hour earlier. A dream of a village she was quite positive she had never seen, a dream she'd woken up from in a cold sweat. The location looked something like images she'd seen of the desert on the Island. She had never been, but Kisa wasn't stupid. The feelings that she knew Kaiba Seto as a man named Set, the mentions of Ancient Egypt when she had run into Arisato and the others, it was clear. She'd had to protect Set before. And if she didn't do the same in this life, he'd die.
Still, could she find him in time? She only knew where he lived. Right now she was running blind. Half the time her eyes were closed, preying that something would lead her his way. Whether by chance of an erratic route or something more guided, she was headed straight for him. But she wasn't the only one...

As Enjin trailed Kaiba, he couldn't help but feel that the man was an idiot. He had to know by now the dangers of the island, and yet he made no effort to protect himself in any way. He wasn't bothering to stay in well lit areas, and really, the fact that he was out this late at night was almost stupid considering this was the Island.
Really, Enjin had been interested in Kaiba since that encounter with that girl, Kisa. He'd been even more interested since that encounter with the Pharaoh and his boyfriend. It had taken him a couple days to come to this decision, plus the fact that he didn't want to risk another city-wide Satellite. Unlike his tired old body's sister, he was smarter with his Satellite ability.
At the moment, he was following Kaiba in the shadows. If Kaiba got the feeling that someone was watching him and turned, though, he would get a good view of Enjin for a moment before he disappeared again. It was more amusing to play with his "prey", after all, and nothing like fostering a bit of paranoia before finally appearing in front of him.
------------------
I should have known it would be a bad idea to send him to watch Souji, Abel thought to himself as he walked toward the apartments. It had been a few hours since he got the email from Atem stating that Nyarlathotep was behind an attack on Souji's group. The demon hadn't reported in in a few days, and he had ignored his summons earlier today. Abel was hoping he had just ignored them. He was hoping it wasn't because of the limiter he had placed on himself earlier.
He held up the MP3 player at that. It looked like it worked. Hell, it even turned on. But no sound came out of it, and all it really did was lower his power down to a much less extreme level. He was only around his power after absorbing Belberith now. He was still demonic, but his own power was at a more human level.
From where he was standing, he could see the apartment complex. He could sense Nyarlathotep's energy from there. He was going to confront the demon personally about what happened earlier. He had told him to observe, dammit.
------------------
Adachi had returned home after finally being told that visiting hours were over. Bakura was in stable condition, thank god, and would probably be fine after a few days.
However, the main thing on his mind was Lucius-- no, Lucifer. That devil had to have been the one to do this. That Jounouchi kid had said that some kid named Malik had been beaten up in a similar way, which meant that the two of them had been beaten up for similar reasons. Plus, there was evidence that suggested Bakura had been staying with Malik before he had been attacked.
The fact remained that Lucifer was the only one who could have done this. What else could explain the Ring getting back to him just before Bakura made it back?

Kaiba had actually had the feeling he was being watched for a solid fifteen minutes. He just hadn't shown any significant signs of it. Any mind reading Enjin may have done would have dealt with it in a way of Kaiba chastising himself for being paranoid. Things didn't go bump in the night, he wasn't the sort to believe those stupid tales told to scare children. It always lead to a bit of self-doubt about it in regards to the Millenium Items, often accompanied by an image of the Puzzle Yuugi wore, quicker images of the other Items (sans the Key and Scales). This would lead to what would seem like one observing memories from the outside, images of Priest Set and a girl that looked like she could have been Kisa's clone. Set-sama. This lead to Kaiba scowling, picking up his pace for about a minute, and then going back to his usual one.
It was about the sixth time the sensation of being watched hit Kaiba that he finally stopped. He let out a labored sigh, and his mind was calling himself a complete idiot. He was obviously simply paranoid because of that Kisa girl and the interference of that boy with the odd split personality. He tightened his grip around the cards in his pocket, the options of using them as a throwing weapon unpleasant but there. He then spun around on his foot to where he was sure he was being watched at. His eyes noticed Enjin before he vanished, and for a brief moment Kaiba seemed like he was going to accept things. Then he scowled and turned away, maintaining a faster pace than before. No fear, just berating himself. His attempts to find more information on Kisa had tired him, that was all. Or at least that's what his mind rationalized.
----------
Nyarlathotep looked up for a moment. Had he been a normal demon, or a young one, he might have passed it off as his imagination. Something had clearly gone on at Abel's end, but that was definently the power of the Bels he was sensing. So very muted, but distinct. He turned away from looking towards the energy and returned to the focus on the hall that lead to Souji's room among the various others. If Abel was there for him, which he had little doubt of, he'd be here soon enough.
----------
Kisa had halved the distance in a short time. She had a feeling she was getting close, but somehow there was still worry in her throat. SHe'd probably be there in another ten minutes.
----------
The time was now 11:25 PM.

Enjin had to suppress a laugh as Kaiba managed to catch a glimpse of him. Enjin didn't have to be a mind reader (which he was) to know that the man was trying to convince himself nothing was wrong. Kaiba just gave off the kind of air of those people who didn't believe in the supernatural, those people who still lived in denial despite the obvious evidence.
He adjusted the glasses on his face. He could sense someone familiar coming. Someone... ah, that girl. The one who had been able to sense him despite the fact that he'd interfered with everyone in the vicinity, and the one he'd gained part of his info about Kaiba from. She hadn't guarded her thoughts well enough.
In any case, he suspected she'd be there soon. Enjin was still following Kaiba.
------------------
"...Nyarlathotep."
Abel had stepped up the stairway to Souji's floor. If anything, he'd known the demon would stay close to where Souji was, and it wasn't like he was making an effort of hiding himself. The events earlier that day had proved that.
He scowled as he spotted the black skinned demon. "You didn't answer my summons earlier."

Kisa almost ran into a wall by tripping over her own foot once she finally recognized that energy. That sense that something was there when there quite clearly wasn't. Her arm flew out and she managed to catch her self on the wall rather than faceplanting into it. She gasped for breath, her lungs burning with the speed at which she'd run here. If it was him, she didn't know what she'd do. He'd had that horrid Item, the one that brought up unpleasant memories. Still, could Seto defend himself? She wanted to think so, but... she ran forward, coming out of the alley between Enjin and where Kaiba was walking.
"Seto-san, you're in danger!"
Kaiba's entire body tensed up as that all too familir voice gave a shout. He whirled around and stared in dumb surprise as Kisa stood there. Her hands were on her knees, and she was panting. However, despite her hair concealing her face she wasn't looking down. Her eyes were looking to the side. She'd made it in time, but what could she do...?
"What are you talking about!?" Kaiba demanded.
----------
Nyarlathotep had given a jerk of surprise as Abel entered the door to the building. His aura reacted in a way to reflect his supposed surprise. He didn't bother squinting, as a demon he had both perfect dark vision and by this point it would be stupid to pretend he didn't know Abel was there. He raised an eyebrow as Abel mentioned the summons, and shook his head with a shrug.
"I am afraid I did not receive it, Your Majesty. Beyond that... are you quite alright? Your aura seems somehow.. muted."
Worth note was what Xiu had said before. Most demons wouldn't be able to sense the suppression. Equal power at least, greater power in general. And Nyarlathotep was stating he could tell something was unusual...
----------
It was 11:35 PM.

"Probably me."
Enjin stepped out of the shadows at that moment, holding up his box cutter knife. He was still smirking, and he seemed to be rather amused with the situation in general. The odd girl with spirit sense, and the man many of her thoughts had focused on. And despite Kaiba's obvious dislike of her, she was using his given name. At least she'd attached a "-san" to it. Lord knows how "Seto-san" would have reacted if she'd used "-kun."
----------------
Even with his current self-doubt, Abel had a hard time believing that Nyarlathotep hadn't gotten his summons. Especially once Nyarlathotep had mentioned that his aura seemed muted. Hadn't Himi-- Xiu stated that only very powerful demons could sense the difference? Something was up. It was probably a good thing that Abel was still giving the dull, emotionless look even with his demonic energies muted, because he would have certainly looked surprised at the mention of that normally.
"I'm quite fine, thank you," Abel stated. "Since I'm here, go ahead and report on anything notable that's occurred over the past few days."

Kaiba tensed up even more as Enjin stepped out of the shadows. Those ears and that appearance, those were clearly what he'd convinced himself he hadn't seen before. Now that he thought about it, man looked damn like that 'Cain' person had. However, he hadn't seemed the type to wear wolf ears. Kaiba narrowed his eyes when he saw the knife. An attempt to kill him...?
Kisa had almost leapt out of her shoes has Enjin had materialized. Even worse, she had known he was around there somewhere. She took a step back, clearly fearful of the man. However, in perhaps a surprising shift, she stopped at one step and shook her head. She narrowed her eyes and gave a rather harsh glare towards Enjin. Kaiba had by this point looked at her again.
How in the hell did she know about him? Her mannerisms are all wrong for setting up some kind of attack like this, Kaiba smirked, How cheap, a box cutter? Does he honestly think he's going to kill me with that? That losing dog would be capable of setting up a better assasination attempt then this.
An image of Jounouchi flashed across Kaiba's mind. The emotions attached to him were of disdain, but it didn't come from true hate. It came from irritation at how skilled the blond Japanese teenager was. Thoughts of how dare someone like him even deign to stand in the same room as him, let alone Duel him. Kaiba walked up beside Kisa and whispered something to her.
"I still don't know who the hell you really are, but you don't look capable of fighting. Don't do anything stupid, I won't get myself killed just to save your skin," Kaiba stated, his thoughts balking the statements. It was quite possible he would, although even his thoughts tried to shoot that down.
"I've seen trained dogs make a better threat than you," Kaiba stated with an amused voice.
"Seto-san, you can't underestimate him!"
"Get out of here!" Kaiba barked, clearly an order he expected to be followed.
----------
Nyarlathotep tried to read Abel as he spoke. Whatever was dampening his powers hadn't effect his human ability to mask his emotions. Both stoicness gained from hardship and his older brother, no doubt. He sighed and began with the earliest event of note he could think of.
"It would appear the goddess Izanami-no-Okami is out and about on the Island. She has offered an escape for Izanagi and his Avatar should the fall arrive," Nyarlathotep chuckled, "Seems she is doing it out of romantic interest in Izanagi's avatar, and claims she would have taken him away once he obtained Apathy Syndrome regardless of his permission."

Enjin smirked as the two had the reaction he had expected to his appearance there. He had activated his Satellite ability, but really, he was mainly relying on his ability to read people more than his abilities from this body. The girl seemed oh so nervous, while the man seemed almost too full of himself. He didn't seem to realize what a threat Enjin really was.
"I suppose you'd know, being a trained dog yourself," Enjin said. He reached into his coat and pulled out a small plastic tank. Inside were two small snakes. He'd gotten them from a pet store down the street. Hadn't even had to pay anything for them either. Enjin had preferred to interfere with the thoughts of the cashier than actually pay for a couple animals who would likely end up dead themselves.
He pulled open the tank and tipped it to its side, causing the snakes to fall and land on the pavement in front of them. Dropping the tank, he lifted his hand up above them. There was a flash of light as something like lightning fell from the sky and hit the two snakes. When the smoke cleared, there were two gargantuan, obviously mutated reptiles next to Enjin.
"Now, we can do this the easy way... or the hard way, Kaiba Seto," Enjin said with a smirk.
----------------
Even Abel couldn't hide his surprise at that. Apparently Izanami, who had attempted to kill Souji the last Abel had heard, was in love with him, despite the fact that he was her former lover and now enemy's avatar. Because of this, she was using her connection to other realms as a goddess to rescue Souji and his friends, though she would have taken Souji anyways once the Apathy Syndrome kicked in. That still seemed almost creepy to Abel, even with the possibility that the Apathy Syndrome would eventually go away.
"Continue," Abel said.

Kaiba could have incinerated Enjin at that comment with the look he gave him. Kisa had taken a few more steps backwards, but she was still very much in the scene and potential line of fire. Her eyes were flicking nervously between Kaiba and Enjin. He could probably handle himself. Probably. But if he ended up dead or worse, she'd never forgive herself. So she held her ground. Her hand was over her breast pocket, and her thoughts were on the sealed card inside. If Enjin was bothering to read the minds of the people in his presence, he'd get a crystal clear image of the Blue Eyes, White Dragon displayed on the card.
They said I could be its avatar... I don't know, but I do know I saw this in that dream... that memory... Seto-sa... Kaiba-san, be careful!
It was around this time that Enjin pulled out the tank. Kaiba gave a scowl of disgust at what he saw inside. Snakes, and of a non-poisonous variety. Was the man trying to bluff him? He hadn't gotten his schooling all but tortured into him as a kid to not be able to recognize a common pet snake species. Enjin then dumped out the snakes on the ground, and by this point Kaiba had dealt with quite enough. If all the man was going to do was attempt to intimidate him with a knife and pet snakes, he wasn't worth his... and then the lightning hit.
Kaiba's eyes widened in surprise, and he threw up his arm to shield from the light. The very first thought that crossed his mind, and one he was berating himself for instantly, was the God Cards. Enjin would get three very clear images if he was focusing on that. A red dragon, a very clear blue giant thing, and a griffin-like creature that seemed to be made of gold. Kaiba managed a "hmph" noise as he lowered his arm. His first attempt at rationalization was holograms, but he found himself remembering Atem's Kuriboh. He glanced at Enjin and tightened his grip around the deck in his pocket. It was either show ground here or take advice from Atem...
"If you have a question, stop wasting my time and ask it," Kaiba ordered with a flat voice. He would deal with the snakes that were quite possibly illusions if it came to that.
Kisa's only thoughts were on Kaiba's safety and how much danger she was putting herself in... and more on the former. Interestingly, Kaiba hadn't reacted to Enjin knowing his name, and it hadn't even crossed his mind as unusual. The fact was he was used to people knowing him in his homeworld, and his subconscious had chalked it up to that.
----------
"Izanagi's avatar had a few encounters with that Kaiba fellow we met before. Apparently a girl who appears to be some sort of reincarnation of a woman Kaiba knew in his past life has shown up. She seems tied to those White Dragon cards of his and suffers whenever he attempts to summon them. As if her soul is being removed from her body I believe it was described as. Izanagi believes her to be an avatar of this Dragon. Her name is Kisa," Nyarlathotep stated, "And it appears Kaiba is all but stalking her, although he refuses to be cornered about it."

Enjin smirked as Kaiba spoke. The man still wasn't taking things seriously, it seemed. He snapped his fingers, and one of the snakes slithered over toward Kaiba, hissing at him. It may have not been venomous before Enjin had dropped it, but it was certainly venomous now.
"I have a few questions really. Who are Mutou Yuugi and Atem, what is your connection to them, and what do you know of the man named Seta Souji?" Enjin asked. He'd been observing that little group, and he knew that it was highly likely Souji was actually Izanagi himself, but the silver haired one was still a mystery to him. It was best to gather as much information as you can.
------------------
A girl with the soul of one of the most powerful monsters in that game Yuugi played, then. It didn't really interest Abel much, but it might involve him later on.
"Continue," Abel said. "And try to hurry it up a bit. It's nearly the Dark Hour."
Even though Abel was active during the Dark Hour, the time still bothered him a bit. Partially due to knowledge of the Shadows lurking in it, partially due to just how it plain felt, and partially because he knew that Death itself was waiting on top of that tower during that time.

(OOC: Giving awesome powers to the snakes. XD Make me change it if you don't like it)
"Seto-san..."
Kaiba's face got even more annoyed than it was as he heard Kisa behind him. He was about to turn to chew her out again when he heard the hiss sound increasing in volume. He jerked his head to the side just as the snake's head went parallel to his own. He opened his mouth to say something more, his thoughts clearly indicating he was about to tell Enjin to stop his stupid charade, when the snake's mouth opened and quite a bit of fluid dropped from its fangs. The venom dropped from the fang directly into Kaiba's foot, a bit htting the edge of the boots.
It was now that the man had a look of utter shock. He jerked his foot back and ended up looking less than graceful as he wiped his foot on the ground. The reaction had come from the smoke from the ground as the apparently acidic venom ate through the sidewalk. Only a drop or two had gotten onto Kaiba's boot, but even with the panicked reaction, about half the thick leather had been eaten through. If he flexed his toes up, one would be able to see the movement in what was left of the shoe. He looked up at Enjin with a nasty scowl. Whether the snakes were illusions or not, that acid was very much real... he ran through several scenarious through his head dealing with possible reactions to him attempting to tell Enjin off or trying to get away. What he settled on proved that Kaiba Seto wasn't a complete idiot.
"Atem is a championship Duelist and the only person I consider a truly worthy opponent. Mutou Yuugi is a naive nobody and hardly worth your time, he doesn't even fight his own battles," Kaiba held quite a bit of venom in his voice as he spoke of Yuugi. His thoughts portrayed something like disgusted betrayal in regards to the shorte teenager. All of his thoughts were aligning to what he said. While he knew of the potential connection to Ancient Egypt, those thoughts were not how he viewed those mentioned and as such wouldn't come across his mind, "My connection to Atem is the only one worthy to be his rival. I don't give a damn about Yuugi. Souji is a teenager who seems to have a personality that fancies itself some kind of god. As far as I'm concerned he's insane."
Kaiba thought for a moment. If this man was after Atem, he'd have to put up a fight as well. No one was going to defeat Atem except for himself. He narrowed his eyes and wiped his boot on the ground again, "Are we quite done here? If so, take your pets elsewhere!"
When the acidic venom had hit Kaiba's boot, Kisa's hand had gone to her mouth. For a brief second, her energy output had changed. Something of god-like levels of power and light had seemed to surge from within her, but it had calmed back down as soon as Kaiba had recovered. She didn't even seem to be quite aware of it, but her mind screamed relief that "Seto-san" was alright. It was possible she hadn't had to be here at all....
----------
"Two people showed up on the Island recently, both in posession of Items of the same class of power as the Ring. A girl named Mazaki Anzu and a boy named Jounouchi Katsuya, both friends of Yuugi's and around his age. That white haired teenager, Bakura, has ended up in the TV World seemingly by Adachi's hands," Anpu chuckled, "It seems he thought he was throwing that ancient thief into the TV World instead, and Katsuya reports he seems to find a boy by the name of Lucius Starr to blame.
----------
It was no 11:58PM. In two minutes things would change. In two minutes things would be revealed...

Enjin continued to smirk as Kaiba silently freaked about the acidic venom of the snakes. Oh, this man was quite amusing. Obviously, he was still trying to decide if the snakes were real or not, but at least the acid seemed real enough to Kaiba, and that was all Enjin needed.
The information Kaiba gave Enjin was all simple things. Atem was a championship duelist, and obviously had beaten Kaiba before. Yuugi, his former host, from what Enjin had gathered, was just a lowlife who had deceived Kaiba in the past. And Souji, that teenager that Enjin had sensed two presences from, Kaiba thought was insane. Kaiba must have had a bad experience with Souji's other "personality." In any case, it seemed that Souji really was a god, and an ōkami at that, though Kaiba didn't seem to believe it.
Enjin gave a small chuckle as Kaiba ordered him to take his "pets" elsewhere. He hadn't missed how the girl had reacted when Kaiba was in danger. That kind of power that lurked in her soul interested him. He motioned toward the snake that still stood next to him, and it slithered over toward Kaiba, brandishing its own fangs. A bit more venom dripped from its mouth.
And then, as the clock hit twelve, the world turned to green and the water to blood.
Almost immediately, there was a change in Enjin's face. His smirk dropped, and he looked very, very confused and frightened. Enjin had thought he'd forced Gin down so far that he hardly existed as a person anymore, but Enjin didn't know of the Dark Hour that "normal humans" couldn't exist in. And even with his powers as a Hiizumi, that was what Enjin was. A normal human. While Gin, the soul he had forced down, was a satori. And now that satori found himself awake and alive and very confused.
"Wh-what is this? Where am I?" Gin said, looking around the area as he spoke. This wasn't the Afterworld, but somehow it felt familiar. Like he'd been here before. But everything seemed kind of fuzzy. His thoughts weren't very clear, and the atmosphere of this world was almost oppressing. There were puddles of blood on the ground. There were three crystalline coffins in front of him. He put a hand on his chest, and patted his coat. He looked down in panic. Not his coat. The coat he'd worn when Akina tuned him was a silvery white, but this very similar one was black. And there were glasses on his face.
That man before. The Hiizumi he'd been sent to find, the one who had attacked him and... done something. He'd worn these kind of glasses. Did that mean that Hiizumi had... had taken over his body?
This was almost too much for him to handle...
-----------------------
Abel's eyes widened as Nyarlathotep stated that Adachi had thrown Bakura into the TV World. That had to have been why the others were in the other side when Nyarlathotep attacked them. Bakura was in the other side. That meant... Bakura might die. His expression turned to anger with a bit of panic as Nyarlathotep said that Lucius Starr was to blame.
"...Lucifer... Has to be Lucifer, I saw him talking to Adachi," Abel said. "Continue!"
-------------------
Inside their apartments, Minato, Souji, and Adachi were all waiting for the Midnight Channel to start. Minato and Souji because they knew Bakura would be on there. Adachi because he thought Anpu would be on there...

Kaiba failed to see the reason for the second snake approaching him until it became too late. It came down to a matter of pride, of not wanting to show ground to further intimidation, and it lead to the gigantic snakes now having him surrounded due to the size of their bodies. Kaiba thumbed out about five cards from the cards in his pocket. With where the situation had gone, it was possible he'd have to fight for his life. His frown at the moment wasn't anger, but annoyance. It was possible there wre merely more questions, but if the man did intend on killing him and the snakes were as real as he was beginning so suspect...
Kisa's eyes had widened as Kaiba seemed to let his route of escape be cut off. She looked towards Enjin with a moment of panic. As Kaiba realized the situation and fingered the cards, her expression turned to one of defiant anger. Both she and Kaiba had opened their mouths to say something at the same time when the world shifted over.
Her mouth hung open as her head jerked to the waxing moon in the sky, its color the color it always came at this time. It had been so close to midnight? She hadn't realized it had taken her this time to get here. She looked down at the ground, her eyes hesitating a moment over the three coffins where Seto and the two snakes had been. All of them were effected by the hour. The puddles from the recent weather were blood, as was usual. She wasn't sure what to do now, either. She'd never had any need to try and move the crystallin coffins, but if she could get Seto out of here...
And then she heard the voice. A kinder and softer version of how Enjin spoke. It was a much sharper contrast than Souji to Izanagi, but it was enough to snap Kisa out of the cycle her mind had worked its way into. She hesitated for a moment before shaking her head and quickly walking into a position that would allow her to see where Enjin had been. She caught the pose difference and the sheer panic in the figure there. Even his eyes were kinder and lacked the cold authority Enjin carried.
"...You're not Hiizumi-san, are you?"
----------
Nyarlathotep seemed more than a bit amused as Abel spoke. Lucifer? That thought hadn't even occurred to him, but now that Abel had made it clear he found himself greatly amused. The tiime had switched over between his last comment and Abel's response. He noted a lack of change in the King of Bel's stance aside from what seemed to be a mix of growing panic and rising anger. Which meant whatever he had done was not technological in nature.
"There is not much to continue with, Your Majesty. I was keeping my observation as you ordered, but Izanagi called me out within the TV World. I was forced to defend myself against Minato, he received no permanent harm, I assure you," Nyarlathotep continued even if Abel tried to speak, "The Shadow among them is being effected by the mind's fog within the TV World and it is likely they will require help to rescue the thief's reincarnation. Personally, I believe his death would make your power better known. Of course, my position is not to question your method of rule."
Nyarlathotep finished his report with a smirk. He was probably going to pay for that, actually...
----------
Atem had finally talked Jounouchi into going to bed. Real bed, as after some discussion in the kitchen Atem had finally gotten him to settle down. Yuugi and Anzu were still asleep on the couch. Atem frowned at the scene, a pained look in his eyes. They would have been better together, his Partner would have been better if he had allowed himself to pass on. He checked the COMP and confirmed he had turned the alarm off before turning towards the window. He had a theory about the Midnight Channel he wanted to confirm. Would it air if the television wasn't being looked at...?
----------
To those actually watching, the Channel started at the same instance the light changed. It was an odd sort of blessing that it only worked when a television was turned on, after all. It would become apparent within less than a second to Adachi that something was very wrong. A long hall that Souji and Minato would recognize from Bakura's TV World. To Adachi, it sould seem like some generic apartment complex, an odd thing for Anpu to have in his subconscious. The camera, so to speak, panned towards the door that opened of its own power, and a single room was revealed within.
Shadow Bakura sat at a table. There were various gaming paraphenalia on the table. What looked to be source books, multi-sided dice, and related. At the center was a deck of Duel Monsters cards and several figures. What looked to be a figure of Bakura was tilted next to what looked to be Anpu. Adachi wouldn't be able to tell, nor would Souji. However, the tanned skin and outfit would make it clear to Minato it was "Thief King Bakura".
Around it were various other figures. The man that had been mostly faded from the family photo in Bakura's TV World stood far away, his back turned. Near Bakura were two broken figures, one that pretty much looked like him in a skirt and a woman with long white hair. What looked to be a child, but there was no face and she looked about as nondescript and Japanese as possible.
Shadow Bakura had been hanging with his head down, sitting at the head of the table. His bangs were hanging down and the shadow from it concealed his eyes. He was dressed in an identical manner to how he'd been when Souji and the others. He lifted his head and among the tortured expression was also traces of anger. He stared at the camera for a few moments before finally beginning to speak.
"All of it is my fault. All because I'm too weak to fight it, to hold it back. It always comes back to that. I can't even win at my own game. I couldn't fight it when the Ring led my mother and sister to death. I couldn't fight it when everyone I'd ever made friends with were sealed in those figurines. I couldn't stop Yuugi-kun from coming into my apartment, and it took Dark Yuugi to save everyone! He should have let me die then, it was to save everyone!"
"It only got worse! In Duelist Kingdom, which I never even entered but showed up at anyways! Again, Dark Yuugi wouldn't let me die! If I had died then, none of what's happening now would be! Adachi-san wouldn't feel the need to kill anymore!" Shadow Bakura slammed his hands on the table and stood up, tears streaming from his eyes and distorting his already distorted voice, "I know Anpu might survive, but he might not! Even if he didn't, the police could take care of him! Someone could kill him and this could be over!"
"It's all my fault! Just let me die!!"
Shadow Bakura screamed the last part at the top of his lungs. The tears could be seen dripping down his face they were so severe, and he almost seemed ready to choke. And with that shout and that desperate look, the screen blipped back to the static from before before fading to the turned off television it should be...
(OOC: Tell me if the Channel would show in Atem's apartment with him not actively watching it. I say no, but i want your opinion. XD)

Gin jumped as he heard a voice behind him. He turned, and found himself facing a human girl. Well, she appeared human, anyways. There were demons who looked human and weren't, after all. He apprehensively approached Kisa. After a moment, he realized the glasses were making it hard for him to see, and pulled them off.
"No, my name's Nanami Gin," Gin said. He gave a small smile, which was broken by a twinge of pain from his chest. "...What the...?"
He reached a hand up to his coat's collar and undid a couple of clasps. Once the collar fell limp, he pulled it back, and his eyes widened as he saw what was causing the pain. There was a scar running across his entire chest. He didn't remember ever gaining a scar like that, but... his thoughts still felt fuzzy. Like something was forcing them down. He looked over toward Kisa and began to put some things together. She'd asked if he was a Hiizumi, and the last thing Gin remembered was that one silver haired Hiizumi he'd met in the Afterworld.
"I think I've been possessed by a Hiizumi," Gin said. "And I think I still am... What's happened? What is this place?" He couldn't imagine a hellish world like this, where there were puddles of blood on the ground, and coffins.
------------
Abel's expression became serious as Nyarlathotep finished up.
"I was hoping you could explain yourself better than that," Abel said. "I already knew about your encounter with Izanagi. Obviously your personal interests in Souji and Minato were getting in the way. Don't think I haven't noticed. When I gave you this assignment, I told you to stay hidden. To observe. What you did was... You attacked Minato. There had to have been a better way to diffuse things than forcing out his Persona." He glared at Nyarlathotep as he spoke.
"Go back to the hotel and wait for the Dark Hour to finish. Once there... I'm sending you back to our dimension. You went out of line, Nyarlathotep," Abel snarled. He was staring the demon in the face, and even with the new moon AND the suppression, he looked more like the ruler he actually was. Part of it had to do with remaining guilt about what had happened with Bakura. But after what had happened to the others in the TV World today, he was going to help them.
------------------
Adachi's eyes had widened the moment the Midnight Channel. Whatever this was, this wasn't Anpu's world. This was confirmed as the image focused on Shadow Bakura. There was no way he could rationalize that tortured individual away as Anpu's hidden emotions. It just wasn't possible. The only explanation was that he'd made a horrible, horrible mistake. At that thought, he again felt that pain on his soul.
As the Shadow spoke, Adachi began to feel even more horrified at himself. This was his fault. This was all his fault. Shadow Bakura may have looked the poster child for depression, even with the anger mixed into his depression, but Adachi was looking pretty damn close at this point. Bakura thought he needed to die to save everyone else. And as the Shadow said that Adachi wouldn't feel the need to kill anymore, Adachi felt like his heart was being ripped in two. That was his own fault, and Bakura was blaming himself for it.
Adachi stood up again as the screen faded back to static. His shocked expression had been replaced by anger, and he ran out the door. This was... Lucius's fault. This was all Lucifer's fault. He was going to find that demon if it was the last thing he did. It was entirely possible it would be the last thing he did.

Kisa put her hands in front of her body clasped together and gave a bow, "I'm Shiroi Kisa."
She'd stumbled a bit as she did so, and felt a bit stupid for even bothering when it was done, but the expression didn't even show it. She looked more concerned than anything else. Enjin had indicated the scar Gin had looked at when he mentioned making her spirit leave her body so he could possess her. Which meant that was likely the point of entry for Enjin. However, that meant he hadn't been right... or had been lying. Gin was obviously still there, although why Enjin had gone down she couldn't....
"Are you... is Hiizumi-san human? Are you?" Kisa shook her head, "I'm sorry, I'm being rude. You're in a place called Dimension Island by most people... right now though, its this odd space of time that's been occuring for several months. Most people turn into those awful coffins during this time. Its really dangerous, but I can avoid the danger because of my senses... That's why I asked if you or Hiizumi-san were human or not."
----------
Nyarlathotep looked like he was going to comment back. His face shifted just a bit as if his mouth had opened even. However, Abel either didn't notice or was choosing to trample over the top of his potential words. The demon suspected the latter. He closed his mouth so to speak when Abel ordered him back to the hotel. Torture, perhaps? However, he seemed borderline pissed as Abel informed him of what was going to happen. Back to his dimension? Nyarlathotep decided this time he would fight back when he was once again cut off. This time by a huge flash of energy, followed quickly by spoken words.
"Is it not true you're tied to no single dimension, Nyarlathotep? If you don't like the country, perhaps leaving is in order...? There are Kings who would not deny you your goals..."
Lucius, and worth note that he was in that form, was coming up the stairs. His outfit was rather plain. Grey shirt, black pants. Around his neck was a moderately sized cross. Not gaudy, but not tiny either. His hair was pulled back in its usual ponytail, and he was smirking as he took another step up. About four steps down from Abel, but he'd stopped to await reactions.
