[This thread is the continuation of ‘Grief of Mr. Gun’.]
……………………………………………
The Temple of Balance continued to float idly next to the Island; all mystical, all powerful… It barely looked like it had even been touched since some of the heroes had last seen it. Standing before the bridge to the temple, Gantz looked in awe at the magnificent building. “It’s… It’s just as majestic as I imagined it would be.” Soul said nothing, though she herself was mildly impressed.
Otto and Wally, whom stood not that far away, looked to the boy, as he continued to admire the building. Next to them, Tarosuke, Helga, and Courage stood. Helga couldn’t help but giggle. “It’s not surprising that he’d be like this. After all, he said so himself, that he created Otto, Wally-Ni-chan, and their world with pen and paper.” Tarosuke groaned as Helga finished with, “Any other author would love to see his or her handiwork in real life scope.”
“Okay, sure, the handiwork is good, now can we just go inside and get this training started already?” The little demon said with a snort.
Not all that far off, Misty was keeping her distance from the gang. The reason? To be as far away from Otto as possible, while staying with the group. It’s not like she hated Otto or anything, but the fact that he looked so much like her beloved was just too much to bare. “He has a point,” Went the girl as she walked past Otto, trying not to look at him too closely. “Let’s go on inside and get it started.”
Looking otherwise understanding of Misty’s actions, Otto sighed. “Yeah, let’s go.”

Double D was waiting by the temple's entrance, having gotten there sooner after delivering the news of his decision back home. Upon seeing the group approach from within the mist, he smiled, pushed off the wall he was propped on, and met them halfway.
"Are we all ready to proceed inside?"

Waddle Dee, De'Marcus and Mr. Orange were... just there.
There was really no other way to describe it. The two of them were really only tagging along for two reasons: Tree and training. Tree had major blackmail material on De'Marcus and if he didn't tag along with Gantz for now, she would use it. And De'Marcus had a reputation to keep. Waddle Dee was travelling with Gantz because he wanted to train to be stronger. Mr. Orange was there because De'Marcus was. That was really what it boiled down to.
De'Marcus snorted as Helga noted that Gantz was the one who created that place in the first place. Sure, and some chick with glasses and a shark hat she bought from a Jaws gift shop created him and some japanese dude created Waddle Dee over there. As if.
He looked up as he heard Double D's voice. "Yeah, at least I hope so. These guys have spent the past ten minutes staring at this stupid temple."
"It's pretty," Waddle Dee retorted. His parasol was hanging next to his body with really nothing supporting it; not even a belt. Some designer must have gotten lazy.

Gantz chuckled a little, embarrassed at what De'Marcus said. "Uh... Right."
Otto nodded after a moment. "I believe we're as ready as we'll ever be Double D." Motioning to the others, he opened the front door of the temple, big as it was, with a somewhat deep creak. “Shall we?”
Quickly walking inside, Otto closed the door behind him…
Everyone was unaware of another presence not too far off, that had watched them enter the temple. It let a somewhat high-pitched chuckle. It didn’t sound warped or anything… It just sounded like it came from a small creature…
Meanwhile inside… … …
Gantz was absolutely breath-taken at the interior more then he was the exterior. It let off that positive feeling, that it always gave off. In this temple everything was in balance, the balance never tipped in any one direction, be it good or evil. In short, everything was at peace. “Sweetness…”
“It has quite the aura about it to be sure…” Soul sighed, rolling it’s eyes. “But where are Yin and Yang? We should see them soon.”
A shrug was Wally’s response to that. “Well, they likely know we’re here now shielah, they’ll be here before too long in any case.” After saying that, he sat himself down in a pew, and leaned himself back, head lowered, and his visor cap rim pulled over his eyes. “In the mean-time, I’m takin me a nap. Wake me up when the interestin’ stuff starts.”
Misty took in the grandeur of the place herself; while impressed she merely waved it off before walking up to the center pulpit. “This place seems so old… Yet, nothing looks out of place.”
“We have Yin and Yang to thank for that.” Came Otto as he sat himself down as well, “This place can be considered the epicenter of balance between good and evil. If this place became corrupted with either one, their’s not telling WHAT would happen.” When Misty turned to face him, the boy only shrugged. “Hey, me and Wally are Yang and Yin’s vassals respectively, we know some things about balance.”

When he first came here, Double D was nothing short of impressed, of course. He felt some of the energy before, but he was much more focused on the task at hand; getting the Nest jewel back and winning his first spar with Otto to GET it back.
But now, with the leisurely chance he had, not to mention his considerably heightened senses, Double D felt as warm and safe as in a mother's womb. He opened his aura-sensory door and took it all in, like a refreshing breath of the cool, summer breeze. It was nothing if not cleansing, sharpening his senses and wits and calming his dreary spirit.
"This place..." he breathed out gently. "...before, I didn't know what to make of it. Now it's everything I could've dreamed."

De'Marcus was still scowling as he and Mr. Orange entered the Temple. So he didn't think places like these were all that cool, so sue him. However, even he could feel the energies moving throughout the temple, and as such, he allowed his body to glow with that glowing yellow energy that made him look like Super Soni--
"I DO NOT LOOK LIKE SONIC."
--Jesus, De'Marcus, it was a joke. As this author was saying...
Waddle Dee, on the other hand, seemed a lot more impressed, and was walking around the room.
"Well, technically Yin and Yang aren't good and evil, they're light and darkness. Too much of either makes you fall to evil, but it doesn't make you evil," Waddle Dee said. He suddenly paused.
De'Marcus looked the same direction as Waddle Dee. "Yeah, I sense it too. This place is supposed to be balanced, but I'm sensing a hell of a lot of darkness coming down that hallway."
He pointed at the hallway in question. From the sound of the footsteps, some limping person was coming down it.
"...H-Help me..."
(OOC: And the person this is will be revealed next post. :3)

[Either way, I think I have a pretty good idea who it is. XDD]
Otto jumped to attention hearing that, and feeling the energy himself. "Who's there!? Show yourself!!"
When the figure walked into sight Misty and Gantz's eyes widened.
"YOU..." Gantz sounded absolutely murderous, quite the change all things considered.
"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE?!?!?" Misty herself looked fully ready to tear the figure apart limb from limb.
[This post was made under the educated guess that the figure is none other then Kid Ceaser.]

(OOC: And allow me to be the first to say WRONG!) "N-No, wait, I'm not who you think I am!" The figure finally stepped out from the shadows of the hallway. He was a very injured looking teenager with green hair, which considering the Island, wasn't really all that odd. The main thing was the various injuries covering his body. He looked like he'd been put through the ringer, and he was actually trailing blood behind him. Green hair, De'Marcus noted to himself. Hadn't that guy before said Flamel's new recruit had green hair? Granted, there were like four people with green hair in Flamel's group. More worrysome was the fact that he was still sensing that darkness from this kid. He turned toward Double D. "Hey, Sockhead. You got any healin' powers or something like that? This kid looks like he's in some pretty bad shape," De'Marcus said. Waddle Dee pointed his umbrella at the figure. "Who are you and what are you doing here?" The kid still looked like he was about to collapse, but he still answered Waddle Dee. "I'm... Kyle, and... I don't r-really know how I got here... I feel dizzy..."

Double D opened his eyes slowly, losing his bliss. He felt it too.
"W-wait, everyone, calm down..." he tried to ease; the force was of darkness, yes, but not the malicious kind, like he had sensed from Kijin earlier.
When Kyle revealed himself, Double D harbored no hesitation and quickly approached to help him. "Oh, my... steady..." Sensing his pain, the angel held him gently and eased him to the ground as he sized up the green-haired boy's condition.
"...I believe so..." Double D responded to De'Marcas' question. "Someone had mentioned healing having a Light affinity... I have yet to attempt it, but... I'll try."
Experimentally, Double D placed one of his hands, the one not holding him upright by the shoulder, on the boy's chest, tracing the bits of individual pain through his body.
Focus.
Focus intently. Note every torn crevice, every outer and internal bruise, every patch of pain stabbing through muscle tissue. Though his eyes were shut, he saw each injury, simulantenously, lit up like flaglights.
Force the blood to pump through his body, to colt and seal up wounds. Bring warmth to null away the pain. Speed up the process.
Heal.
Soon, Double D's trembling hand glowed a pale yellow, sweat gathering at his temples at his intense concentration.

Gantz and Misty lost their fierce expressions upon seeing who it was. "Whoop!! Sorry man, mistaken you for someone else there." Gantz quickly ran up to where Double D was healing Kyle. "Don't you worry any, he appears to be doing a good job healing you, you'll be back to full health in no time at all."
Meanwhile, Otto was giving Kyle a curious look. Likely he saw De'Marcus doing as such himself, but honestly? He was suspicious of Kyle himself. Sure he said he just woke up and found himself here but... With a quick move, he tapped Wally on the shoulder. "Eh? What up mate? There a fire?"
Otto shook his head. "No. But wake up anyways Wally."
As this all went on, Tarosuke was taking in the environment of the temple all around him before turning to Kyle. "You don't know how you got here?... Hmm... Interesting..."
Otto walked up, still suspicious, but playing along. "You are currently inside the Temple of Balance; A mirage temple that exists next to Dimensional Island. In case you were curious as to your whereabouts."

Kyle almost flinched when he felt the light energy move through his body. He almost flinched, but his shadow writhed. Literally, as while the boy didn't move, and in fact his wounds were indeed closing, his shadow practically bubbled out, moved in unnatural ways, and didn't return it its normal shape until Double D finished healing him. Kyle opened his eyes once the wounds all finally closed.
De'Marcus' eyes widened at how Kyle's shadow had reacted. Okay, that was not normal.
"...You... actually healed me?" Kyle asked. He looked down at his own chest, and then back at Double D. He turned toward Otto as he spoke. "The Temple of Balance?" Kyle knew the place; he'd come on a field trip once before. "..But why am I...?"
"Got somethin' to say kid?" De'Marcus suddenly spoke up. Kyle flinched and shook his head.
"N-No, nothing..." Kyle said, looking away from De'Marcus.

Double D focused intently, only hearing half of the conversation. It almost felt like... he was meeting some resistance.
Still, once he was finished, his hand pulled away, and he attempted speech. "..mnn...not surprising... People are stumbling in... more and more nowadays..." He swayed a little, clutching in his head. "Ooonhh..." he moaned dizzily.

Wally quickly ran up and caught Double D by the shoulders. "Whoa, careful mate." Snapping his fingers, a little of his energy entered into the angel of light, likely re-energizing the boy a little bit. "There, that should give you enough energy until you re-energize yourself."
Otto only continued to look at the new arrival with a curious gaze. How come he had not been aware of there being people landing here in the Temple of Balance before this one? Pressing questions as they were, he was quite sure he felt some kind of dark aura from this guy. Gantz could feel it too judging by his facial expression.
To be honest, Gantz agreed with De’Marcus, though he had known Otto for a while due to creating him, and knew he absorbed nearby shadows by ripping them out of place and sucking them into his form, but at least the shadows never moved around like they had some form of sentience. He looked at the shadow with a raised eyebrow, before turning to Kyle. “Well… Kyle. Can you tell me the last thing you remember? Maybe we can help you out.”

(OOC: In case you guys are interested, I updated Kyle's profile with a picture of him and his shadow. If you're too lazy to find Kyle's profile again, it's on my dA too.)
Kyle looked very concerned as Double D began to sway. "I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to..." He stopped himself again as Wally went up to Double D and reenergized him. De'Marcus raised an eyebrow.
Kyle winced and looked away again as he spotted Gantz's expression. They could probably sense him, couldn't they. One of them had light powers based on how he healed him. So it made sense at least one of them could sense him. And one of them had been talking about darkness before. And...
They'll shun you if they know, just like all of the others did.
Kyle looked away as Gantz addressed him. "Um... I last woke up in that old closed down nightclub in Void City... To be honest, this isn't the first time this has happened..."
He seemed to make a sideways glance toward something for a moment before looking back toward Gantz. His shadow seemed to writhe for a moment before calming down.
You honestly think they can help you? Even God can't help you now and you know it. So shut your mouth, Kyle.
Kyle winced before continuing. "To be honest, I've gotten used to waking up in strange places.... Though this is the worst I've been injured in a while."

"N-no, no, it's alright..." Double D sighed deeply at Wally's contributing, smiling at him gratefully. "...thank you. I didn't mean to worry anyone, it was just a little more draining than I thought it would be."
With Wally's help, he got to his feet, and focus came back to Kyle pretty quickly.
"The abandoned night club?" Double D mused; he was sure Eddy had mentioned that at some point. "...curious. You don't remember how you were injured?"
