When the Light died down, Gantz was seen standing where he had been... Only difference? His right hand was free of crystallization.
Looking closely, one would almost think the crystallization had moved from his arm to the sword, as the Onion Sword was now a crystallized version of itself. Gantz's mark of the oath was gone from his arm, and seemed to have been placed in the hilt of the blade. Soul, in her new host, let out a sigh of relief. "Much better." The eye on the hilt appeared to look to Gantz. "Cutting it sort of close don't you think?"
Gantz shrugged as he placed Soul Calibur, now revitallized as a sword into the hilt, and placed the hilt on his belt. "There, that settles that!"
"WHOOHOO!!!!! WE DID IT MATES!!!!!!!" Wally was cheering like a little kid, when that was made clear.
Misty gave Gantz a glare. "Next time you do something stupid you better let us help you out, because I do NOT want to make it that close next time."
"Sorry Misty." Gantz lowered his head, shaking it. "Thought it would be easier to find a sword... We found one now though so let's not dwell on it shall we?"
What could be noticed at that moment however was that Wally suddenly stopped cheering.
..............
"Wally?" Otto looked concerned beyond recompense.
Wally? His face looked pained, almost terrified. "M-mates... S-something happened to-"
That was when the gigantic blast of dark energy appeared.
.............
"Oh... THAT can't be good..."
.....................
..............................
......................................
"S..!!!!" There were no words. Yang stood in shock at what had just happened.
Yin meanwhile, was wincing, otherwise in a fair amount of pain. Thankfully the burner had missed her soul, which was situated in her chest. But she never once moved, never once raised a hand against Kyle.
[glow=Teal,2,300][shadow=purple,left,300]"SISTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"[/shadow][/glow]
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh yeah...
It was, at this point on, the understatement of the decade that Kyle, or better yet, Oni, NEVER EVER EVER EVER... EVER should've done that... Black and purple energy was blasting out of Yang's form, and his expression? Well... Beyond furious doesn't even cover it.
[glow=teal,2,300][shadow=purple,left,300]"YOU... NO GOOD, TRAITOROUS, SHADOWY FILTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"[/shadow][/glow]
The others chose that time to run in, a good amount of them paralyzed in fear at the scene before them. Yang charged forward, and yanked Yin away from the burner. The goddess was sent spiraling away before she landed on the floor gasping in pain. If Kyle tried to stab Yang, he'd be surprised as the poker, instead, phased right THROUGH him. From where the burner stuck out of the other side, it almost looked like Yang was a shadowy ghost.
[glow=teal,2,300][shadow=purple,left,300]"DO YOU HONESTLY THINK... IT'LL BE AS EASY TO STAB ME, LIKE YOU STABBED MY SISTER?!?!?!?!? DON'T THINK YOU'LL RECIEVE MERCY FROM ME, you FILTH. YOU'VE HAD YOUR CHANCE."[/shadow][/glow]
Kyle wasn't able to move fast enough before Yang's shadowy hand, transformed into claws, seemed to slice through Kyle's chest...
At least before he pulled it back out, making one realize that it had phased through him...
However when he pulled back one couldn't help but gawk in surprise that Yang had seemed to have grabbed something.
After everything that happened, Oni, now in shadowy physical form like earlier, was once again in the open.
WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oni, with Kyle dragging behind was sent flying through up to seven walls of the temple before he finally came to a stop...
All thanks to a SINGLE PUNCH from Yang's shadowy clawed fist.
Yang roared in hatred, as he gave chase, looking murderous enough to make him almost indistinguishable from a rabid, feral beast.

"...fuck," De'Marcus said as he felt the blast of dark energy. "Guys, I'm goin' after Sockhead! Whatever's going on in there is too much for him to handle!"
He hadn't needed to say anything, as the rest of the group had started heading toward the armory at the blast of dark energy. But De'Marcus was definitely leading the group. He got there in time to see Kyle get blasted through at least five walls by Yang. He looked over at the bloodied Yin, and realized what had happened.
"Goddammit! This is why I hate Puppetmasters!" De'Marcus yelled.
Oni hadn't expected to get pulled right back out of his slumber by Yang, nor had he expected to get punched like that. He felt a few of Kyle's bones break as he hit the first wall, and things just got worse as he continued to go flying. Kyle's constant cries of "I'm sorry" ceased the moment Kyle hit the first wall, and it was obvious the hit had knocked him unconscious.
Kyle still seemed to be somewhat awake, though, as he suddenly gave a scream of pain. There were several dark shadowy tendrils wrapping around his whole body until he looked more like a silhouette than a living person. There were a few grotesque, cracking noises as Kyle stood up much like a puppet suddenly being lifted upright would. It seemed his broken bones were resetting themselves. But more disturbing were the shapes the shadow seemed to be taking around Kyle's body. The silhouette lifted up off of Kyle's head and formed horns and a tail, which swished back and forth for a moment before coming to a rest. Finally, the silhouette appeared to lighten, and what was standing there looked like Kyle but was very clearly not.
"Yang, I have to say, you're the stupidest god I have ever met," "Kyle" said. De'marcus glared at "Kyle." This confirmed it; that form was way too similar to Pilar's form when she let Larry come into control. Oni smirked and started walking very calmly back toward the group. Swirling around his feet was a shapeless black shadow much like his physical form while possessing Kyle's shadow.

"NO!!!![/b]" Double D hollared, cringing at the multiple crashes AFTER Kyle had left his view. When the rumblings ceased, he slowly looked up at the carnage from the blow... then up at Yang.
........and his look of horror gradually tightened into a enraged glower.
"You... you... JERK!![/b]" he finally bellowed. He didn't care WHAT Yang was the god of, that was comPLETELY uncalled for! "And WHAT may I ask did PLOWING HIM THROUGH THE ENTIRE TEMPLE accomplish!?! Do you even KNOW what you could've...!!"
He cringed at Kyle's scream, and his anger dwindled back into worry... but only after Yang gave chase. The goddamn stubborn...
Double D followed either way, for Kyle's sake, hopping over the rubble... and bore witness to Kyle's transformation. The very one he had explained earlier... the very one he dreaded to see.... the very one Yang's attack forced to come out.
"...too late..." he breathed.

Yang was too busy roaring in rage to answer to Double D's accusation...
Of course, seeing Oni in his current form, more then stopped him. Standing back on his hind legs however, Yang looked completely unafraid. [glow=teal,2,300][shadow=purple,left,300]"DO YOU THINK I'M AFRAID OF YOU, YOU MISERABLE DEMON? YOUR NOTHING."[/shadow][/glow]
Gantz and the others arrived on scene after Yang had said that, though Wally was noticeably missing.
"Whoa..." Gantz looked almost intimidated before he drew Soul Calibur out of her scabbard, ready to fight. "This could get rough..."
"I've handled far worse monsters then this miserable overshadower." Soul Calibur snobbily said, holy magic flowing from her new body. "Handling this should not take too long." Gantz looked unsure about that.
Otto and Misty meanwhile were taking up battle stances. "You sure you can handle another fight?" Came Otto, looking to Misty in a concerned fashion.
"If you're meaning that injury I got, it's not bugging me any." Misty looked quite ready to throw a punch right then and there. "Let's just deal with this right now."
Tarosuke was bowed down and praying by the looks of his stature... Though this was revealed to be necessary as Monmotaro reappeared, giving Oni a deadly look.
[glow=teal,2,300][shadow=purple,left,300]"If I were YOU demon. I'd be quite nervous right now. The Odds are NOT in your favor."[/shadow][/glow]

De'Marcus and Mr. Orange also took a fighting stance (well, as much as a limbless creature can with Mr. Orange), and Waddle Dee had his parasol in a fighting position. Oni only chuckled as the others continued to talk, especially when Yang said that the odds were against him.
"Indeed they are not. If I'm not careful, I'll end up hurting this body even further," Oni said, gesturing to himself as he said so. The shadows swirling around his feet began to grow even stronger and were giving off almost suffocating dark energy.
"But my dear Yang, what gave you the idea that I was actually going to be fighting?"
Suddenly, the shadows wrapped around Oni, absorbing him into them before sinking into the floor.
"Damn, he 'ported," De'Marcus growled. He looked back at the others. "I was worried something like this would happen. Puppetmasters aren't good with fights; they usually have someone else fight for them." He doubted Oni could control anyone with how he was now, had to be too weak. Otherwise he would have just tied his strings to everyone in that room before.
---------------
Oni didn't go far. He sunk out of the shadows in front of the temple, and looked back at the marble doors before wincing. He dropped down to one knee. No wonder he hadn't been able to go far, he was still reeling from those light spells that had been used on him before. He didn't think he'd be moving any time soon. Shit. They could get to him easily like this.

Double D straightened up, knowing what the demon was planning much too late. "NOO!! AGH!!!" The angel dived at the dark spot where Oni was standing seconds ago, only for the shadows to disappear beneath him as he hit the ground hard.
He laid still for a moment, though he was shaking in contained anger. No. No! NO! He would NOT let this stand! He was sick and tired of being afraid!! He was sick and tired of being powerless!!
But most of all... he was REALLY sick and tired of the demon taking advantage of that poor defenseless boy.
When he snapped his head back up, his eyes were glowing a hot golden-white within a glare of righteous fury. Crouching down and outstretching his wings, he was off like a rocket; forget the Haste spell. His power was unleashed. He could smell the disgusting stench of the demon; he didn't get very far, and that knowledge only expidited his pace. There was no escape now.

[glow=biege,2,300][shadow=green,left,300]"What did you expect, demon?"[/shadow][/glow]
Oni didn't need to look up. He knew who was there. Knowing her, it would've been easy to guess that even though teleporting was a fast way to travel, NO-ONE knew this temple better then she did.
Yin stood over Oni's weary form, a holy energy ball forming from her hands. She seemed fully healed after that incedent with the incense poker. Likely the person standing next to her was to blame. And that person was Wally, whom seemed undeniably pissed... A first really, considering that Wally had always acted so happy go lucky.
"Okay MATE. If you wanna get outta here, you gotta go through US first."
After making that clear, Yin motioned to the doors, closing and locking them instantly. Combine that with the fact that Wally and Yin's (This safely included Oni as well) magic senses piqued to an insane degree, in the holy side of the spectrum.
Wally grinned triumphantly, a powerful holy energy blast never leaving his hand. "Well mate, I think it's safe to say you're royally SCREWED."
But it immediately became apparent that Wally and Yin were taking no chances.
"BIND!!!!!"
Before Oni could attempt to teleport away again, their two light spells met, and slammed into Oni... One could tell it didn't hurt, but if Oni tried to move or teleport he'd find himself completely unable to.
With this done, the young Lightbender, merely waved. "Bye-bye." Before he ducked for cover, and Yin braced herself...

Oni couldn't do anything to stop Yin and Wally from binding him. He was doing his best to keep in control of this body, but he was weak. This was something he typically only attempted when he was stronger, and Kyle was fully suppressed. Usually it was easy to do that. But something about what was going on now was different.
"You haven't won yet, Yin," Oni growled. "The boy wasn't lying when he said he was going to die soon. And when that day comes, I'm coming for you and your brother first."
He could sense the angel coming. If only he could move...

POW!!![/b][/color][/size]
A blur of blue, purple, and gold slammed into Oni, and the two of them tumbled across the lobby a fair distance. They finally ended with Double D firmly pinning him down from above, teeth gritted and eyes burning with unspeakable rage.
He raised his hands threateningly, but instead of delivering a heavy punch or swiping slash, the clawed fingers delivered a much mighter blow.
They slapped down hard on Oni's chest and sent a wave of everflowing (at the moment) light energy into the body. Like a healing. Exactly like a healing.
[glow=yellow,2,300]"GO BACK DOWN,"[/glow] he firmly ordered, his voice echoing as he pressed down further, trying to supress the demon. [glow=yellow,2,300]"GO BACK DOWN INTO THE SHADOWS WHERE YOU BELONG. TAINT THIS HUMAN'S SHELL NO LONGER."[/glow]

Oni couldn't stop Double D from flying into him thanks to the Bind, and the spell didn't begin to weaken until Double D was already pumping light energy into his body. The angel was actually managing to force him down. Oni began to struggle, trying to get away from Double D, but the shadow surrounding Kyle's body was beginning to dissipate.
In his flailing, Oni's eyes met with Double D's, and the demon froze. He suddenly smirked.
"Your true name is just as stupid as you are," Oni said. Then he winced in pain and closed his eyes, the shadow finally fully descending back into Kyle's shadow, the horns and tail having disappeared with it. The last to fade were the red markings around Kyle's neck and wrists. Kyle's breathing began to stabilize, and he looked up at Double D with half-closed eyes.
"Double... D?"

(sorry for the skip, Gantz, we just wanted to establish this breif contact, it's your go after this post)
Double D flinched. He couldn't mean... no, he was bluffing. He must've been... right?
Still, he couldn't allow this to intimidate him. He kept the energy flowing, though now with that distraction he had lost his original firm grip and was beginning to falter. He forgot how much this form took out of him.
When he finally felt the last tendrils of dark energy disappear from the boy's body, Double D sighed in release, opening his eyes wearily just as they lost their golden glow. His shaky hands remained settled on the boy's chest, his wings flopped behind him in weakness.
There was plenty for him to concerned about; how long will Oni stay back? What did he mean by 'true name...?'
But there would be time to worry about those things later. As the sweet boy beneath him called his name, Double D found himself locking eyes with Kyle and smiling warmly in response.
"D...do..." he wheezed, gulping and trying again. "...don't worry... he...can't... hurt you...for now."
With his heart reassured that his new charge was alright, he breifly sat up, swayed a little, then limply fell to the side and flopped to the floor, completely spent. His wings were settled on the floor behind him; he didn't even have the energy to put them away.

It was at that point that the others ran in. Yang was seething still from the demon’s attempt to kill his sister, but seeing her in perfect health, as well as the demon’s apparent defeat allowed to calm down ever so slightly. “S-sister… are you-”
Yin smiled kindly to the god of darkness, as if what had happened never had. “Please Yang, don’t blame yourself. I had asked you to let me try after all. And I’m fine.” She motioned to Wally, whom had gotten up and rushed over to Double D. “I have my vassal to thank for my health.”
Otto, Helga, Gantz, and Tarosuke joined Wally in checking on Double D. Helga was breathlessly looking the boy over. “I-is he-?”
“No. No need to worry.” Gantz shook his head to Helga. “He’s just unconscious. A little rest and he’ll be as good as new.” He turned his attention to Kyle, whom Tarosuke was looking over.
“Kyle’s okay too. Just a couple of injuries besides. And if I’m reading his aura correctly, I think it’s safe to say Oni’s gone.” He shrugged after saying that, “Though for how long is ANYONE’S guess.”
Wally chose that time to walk up to Kyle, a healing spell charging up. “Here mate, I’ll handle the injuries.”
Misty, in the meanwhile, walked up herself, dragging along Shantotto behind her. Remembering correctly, she never answered the question as to why she just tried to crystallize Gantz. “I can take Double D home.” Came Otto pointedly. “He needs his rest after what has happened.”
A shake of his head, was Gantz’s response. “Don’t we know it…”
At this point, Yin approached the scene, looking down at Kyle, whom Wally had just finished healing. “Kyle… Are you okay?”

"D-Double D!"
Kyle had tried moving to catch Double D in any way possible, but the pain from his wounds and just how plain exhausted he was was keeping him from moving any. And as much as he wanted to push Wally away, he really didn't have the energy to even lift up his arm to do so.
"I... I dunno... I feel kinda tired..." Kyle said in response to Yin's question. He closed his eyes... and the promptly passed out.
De'Marcus, who had followed the others back into the lobby, shook his head.
"He's fine. Healing spells won't do nothin' for exhaustion; he and sockhead both just need bedrest and they'll be fine," De'Marcus explained, as he saw at least one healer creeping toward Kyle to try healing whatever serious injury they missed.
Waddle Dee walked over to Kyle and examined him. "...Can we take him with us?"

[Since Double D is unconscious I'll just assume it's my turn.]
Gantz sighed a little at the question. "I'm not sure honestly Waddle Dee. I mean, as much as I don't like being negative towards my friends, Kyle would be more a hinderance then a help." He walked over to a nearby pillar and sat himself down. "Honestly though, I don't want to think too much about this stuff... I just need some rest, don't know why, but I'm kinda tired."
"To be expected." Yang groaned as he crossed his arms. "You came very close to actually dying that time."
Plop!
"Great, now that we have THAT out of the way."
Misty made herself apparent, by placing Shantotto between all of the others, a firm grip on the Tarutaru's arm. "I do believe we still have a few things to chat about with this mage here."
POOF!
Almost immediately, the Shantotto Misty had a solid grip on transformed into a doll made of straw...
....................................
....................................................
"GRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Misty immediately began tearing up the Doll in retaliation, more then pissed off. “WHERE IS SHE?!?!?!? I’LL RIP HER APART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
“THAT… my friend, is something that won’t be needed.”
Out from behind the pillar Gantz had sat down at the foot of, Shantotto appeared, arms crossed, a small frown on her face. When she did, Gantz jumped clean out of his socks (Not literally, of course), and pulled out Soul Calibur.
“If you have questions, I am still right here, and I won’t fight since I’m exceeded.”
To emphasize this, Shantotto pulled out her rod and set it down on the floor. She hated showing weakness, but she knew that these people would not easily trust her after what happened, so it would be safer to let them have the advantage.

Waddle Dee looked a little disheartened as Gantz said they should probably leave Kyle here. Maybe that would be a good idea... but Waddle Dee couldn't help but think it would just come back to bite them in the ass later.
De'Marcus blinked as Shantotto turned into another damn doll, Misty ripped it up, and then Shantotto appeared. He scowled.
"Yeah. I've got one. Why did you do that asinine little test?" De'marcus asked. "Oh, wait, I've got a good guess. Making sure Gantz was worthy of taking Soul Calibur, right?"
