"...by 'demon' do you mean like you or like what'shisface back there?" Josah questioned.
"Or demon like that shopowner? VIEWING A MAP SHOULD NOT BE MORE THAN TWO CENTS, DARN IT." Josah's attention span wandered for a mere moment. A meeere moment before he veered back on-topic.
"But that's okay. None of this is real. Miiiiiles away from here, there's a man at a computer. And when his internet dies, the world will end."

Yami opened his mouth and paused while Josah went random. He sighed and shook his head, turning away for a moment. If he continued to be the fool, the Asrai would eat him alive. He pushed that aside, "I can't tell the power level without knowing how long ago the demon was there. But it wasn't Belphegor's aura, and I doubt he would have left the building standing. I said active. Whatever was in there showed their true form."

"It's possible that it could've been, say, an anime character who is also human, BUT, because of demonic atavism is a demon." Josah responded, stroking his hair a bit. He needed a comb, he realized. Which deserves mentioning because, if you'll remember, Josah didn't like his hair tidy. Other Josah's aspects coming out, anyone? There was, also, a slight, sliiiight tint of gray in the left corner of his right eye.
"So are we heading to the Spooky Hotel of Spookiness, then?"

Yamiyo was about to ask Josah what the hell he was talking about. Being a walking example of how demonic genes didn't skip dozens of generations, of course, meant he wouldn't have a clue. But before he could get the words out, he felt Josah's aura shift. He closed his mouth and turned away. If that damn Asrai wanted him to stay around, the least it could do was stay the hell sealed. There was no way he was influencing Josah that quickly.
"Right." It was very curt. He had no intention of holding a full conversation with the Asrai active. He may have agreed to go along with it, but he didn't agree to be happy about it. Cut the guy some slack, he had to rebel somehow.

"Jeez, no need to be so quick about it. You're at LEAST supposed to argue a bit, then I say something random. C'mon, man. You're messing with our group dynamics!" Josah semi-raged, pumping his fists.
"I mean, really. you're the smart, cautious one. I'm the random, adorable, awesome one. And Other Josah, as I'll call him, is the bull in a China shop! If you don't complain, then what?" Josah paused now, waving his hands in an erratic fashion.
"I... hey, do you feel that? It feels... odd. Almost like... that 'aura' thing you spoke of. Exploding at us. And I can feel the... other me you spoke of. Screaming. He sounds... feels... angry." Josah paused for a moment, fingers at his forehead.
"No, wait... now he... it... feels oddly scared. I dunno why. But I do know that this feels on-par with both you and Other Me..."

Yami whirled around on Josah, "Do you we-" but his cut himself off. Seconds later Josah was asking his question. The aura he was feeling had caught him so off guard he hadn't realized Yami had already noticed it.
The half-demon looked around, but his eyes settled on Josah as he was saying that the other him was scared. Yami narrowed his eyes. He was still convinced there were only two beings in the teen, but if that was the case it meant...
Yami glowered, "You were cast out, weren't you?"
The presence inside Josah would likely knew what he meant. He was asking... no, accusing him of being a fallen angel. A devil, if you will. It would explain the way he was acting. But it also bode more ill for Josah than before. Yami had seen devils. They were crueller than many demons. The knowledge of light, it was like criminals. They knew the system better than most. They could manipulate the system. And they got a more perverse pleasure out of their evils than the inherently evil demons.
And they caused more problems than the Asrai. For they thought they were better... they would use their remaining light to torture the demons, for they were not welcome among the Asrai and often fled to Bazaroth. This didn't bode well at all. For either he or Josah...

Then there was a pause. Josah's eyes glazed over for a moment before both became the dark grey shade. His aura changed, as well. But it felt... weaker, than before. perhaps on-par with Yami, at this moment.
"Can't you do things without me having to yank my way out of the kid's soul? Bloody hell. What part of 'I can't remain on the surface for long currently' did you NOT understand? Do you WANT me to kill you?" Other Josah actually seemed to be showing a few of Josah's traits for a moment. And then his eyes went darker. And his aura strengthened.
"That being said, no. I wasn't cast out, like some present company. There was one, however, who was. Valrya. She's here. I feel it. I think I'll kill her after I obliterate you."
Did Other Josah just admit to intentions of 'obliterating' Yamiyo once he was free? I do believe he did.

Yami tensed. Things had just gotten a hell of a lot more complicated. First off, he felt like an idiot. He'd been misreading things. He could practically hear his "teachers" laughing in his head. Lecturing him about not paying enough attention in "class". It was true he was behind the others in training. It was also true they really did seem to focus on him more. He'd never gotten that. But he clenched his fists. Now he knew that whoever was also in Josah's body wasn't some fallen Asrai, he could fight back.
He'd been thinking about it for a while. If either Josah was killed, they'd probably both die. But Josah didn't want to lose himself. And from what he could infer, the fate if he was lost would be worse than death. Yami really had no idea where people went after they died. His world had been compared to the underworld, the side he lived on being more Norse based due to the ice. But it wasn't. Just like Aradia wasn't heaven. But he knew reincarnation to be a fact, and maybe Josah would get handed a less stacked deck in his next life. So he allowed his own aura to flare. He couldn't fight this "Valrya" but... it seemed there was an aura difference here. And he was getting tired of being pushed around.
"Try it. And don't think I'll go easy just because I feel sorry for the kid," he growled. His aura flared again.
For some reason he'd gotten braver. This Josah may or may not be able to infer why. But it was because Yami had realized Valrya and he weren't the same entity. The other Josah was not an angel or devil.

"When I was five, I was put through a gauntlet. I'd been born with my magic, much like the demon known as Hi'ar. But having magic and using it are two different things, they said. So I was put into the gauntlet. They made me kill children. The first time, I cried. But as I went through the challenges they set before me... I began to find amusement. So, no. I'm no angel, contrary to what The Elders tried to set me up to be. And I'm no demon, contrary to what my enemies tried to set me up to be." Josah glanced off for a moment, seemingly pondering. And then he brought his eyes back up to Yamiyo.
"But what that means to you is that I won't hesitate to murder you. And don't think 'oh, well, at least once I'm dead I won't have to put up with such and such'. No. I'm a necromancer. I will bring you back, and I will shove you back into that hellhole you come from. And I'll find some way, I dunno how, to shove my other self in with you. Make a wrong move and you won't only be condemning yourself, you'll be condemning the boy. And you'll have to deal with it for all eternity. And I'll do it with. A. Smile." Other Josah flared his own aura, a deep glare forming upon his face.

Yami growled. I'm not saying he spoke. I mean it sounded like some kind of rabid wolf. He was clenching his fists in the manner that drew blood again. The wounds from when he had done it just a bit earlier were opened up anew. The blood was streaming through his fingers and a few drops dripped onto the ground.
"You made the mistake of thinking I won't kill you now," and despite still being in human form launched towards the boy.
He was going to tackle the boy. Nothing fancy or graceful. He just wanted to bring the teen to the ground. Thing was, he wasn't thinking all that clearly. His hands came unclenched with the speed he launched forward. While it wasn't supernaturally quick, his ability to read his opponent and make minute adjustments could make it come across as such.
He had no intentions of stopping if the Josah he knew surfaced, either. He'd apologize as he snapped the kid's neck, but it was clear this Josah didn't know how to condemn the kid yet. All due to the way he worded his threat. Things didn't look good...

Yamiyo's mistake was, of course, running at him. It was highly possible that he'd be able to leap out of the way of Josah's next move, but the spirit had a golden blast of energy charging in his right hand in that case. As it stood, though, he slid his right foot to the right, a shield of earth appearing in front of him. It was taller than he was, but it was most likely possible for Yami to go around or over it.
"Bad. Idea."

It was indeed a good thing for Yami that he was able to make lightning adjustments to his attacks. He suddenly shifted the direction he was propelling his force and practically rocketed into the air. When he came above the wall Josah had placed himself into, he'd be in full demon form. It didn't exactly bode well for his shirt or jacket, though. They were ripped in two as his wings burst out. He was at least ten feet in the air as his wings spread to their full span.
It didn't stop his attack, however. As he reached the zenith of his flight assisted jump, he tucked himself in and launched himself at Josah. It was rather comparable to bird of prey at this point.

Josah barely had time to glance up as Yamiyo came SOARING above the wall he'd brought up. So, to recap, putting up a wall that you can't see through in the middle of a battle = BAD IDEA.
He fired off the blast in his hand, but it was most likely inaccurate, considering the circumstances. That, and, with Yami's skill and all...
Bad idea was bad. Just as short post was short.

The attack missed. If the attack had missed any worse it would have hit. Well, Yamiyo. Because it did hit. The store. As if the broken glass on the front that had been hastily covered with a screen wasn't bad enough, the display window now had a giant hole in it. And the wall beyond that was charred. As for the store owner... he was passed out on the floor from shock. Which was probably the best result he could have hoped for.
Yami hadn't even had to adjust his flight pattern to avoid the hit, and there wasn't enough time for Josah to attack again. He rammed into the boy and had his hand clamped around the boy's throat, his body held up against the wall of a building about five feet back from where he'd tackled him from. Unless something occured there was a good chance the thorat would be crushed in a couple of seconds. Even if that fate was avoided, he would be bruised from the impact. He had been shoved with enough force that part of the wall had crumbled off and a slight indent existed.

This author would like to point out, REALLY point out, that Other Josah was a bloody psychopath. Bloody occasionally being used in the literal sense. His eyes began to glow a neon red, and... well, things pretty much started going bad. He growled, twitching. There was an army of skeletons surrounding them.
Another twitch, and strands of grass reached out at Yami, attempting to grab him. His aura seemed to grow in strength the more he controlled various objects surrounding them. It should be noted that the skeletons weren't there before. They actually didn't seem real. More like objects Josah had created. And then blasts of energy left his eyes.
