Kaiba had decided over the past few days that the new apartment was still to small, but he had no choice but to make do. There had been a bitter irony in his work over the past few weeks. He had found little issue with threatening convincing the various companies that he should have the right to the card game (as well as taking that odd "Yu-Gi-Oh!" variation off the market. Some of the translations had been rather cringeworthy.), but they'd raised fits about the practicality of the Duel Disks.
It wasn't as if he was asking them to make Duel Stadiums on the Island, after all! He'd finally gotten them to listen, but only the day before. He didn't like the narrow window of advertising that left him. After a short series of fights, he'd managed to convince them that with the window, they'd have to be aggressive at release. He'd looked into recent events and had just finished arranging with the owner of a nearby shrine to be able to use the coming Festival for marketing.
Mokuba had actually been the one to suggest a focus on the Spirit Monsters. Kaiba hadn't had the heart to object. He knew how Mokuba had felt about Noa, despite the hell the glorified memory had put them through. Besides, given that they were advertising at a Shinto Shrine, it wasn't a bad angle. And so it had gone through.
None of this work had gone as smoothly as it should have, either. He couldn't get that girl out of his head. Atem had summoned a monster, which at the very least meant he was using some kind of technology to make the monsters appear, and without his permission. Then there were those snakes. Kaiba had to glance at his now mostly healed arm at that. While he was quite sure that one fellow might have set up an over elaborate prank, he knew that girl had summoned Blue Eyes, White Dragon. He'd even checked on that street the next day, and that giant hole in the road was being repaired.
"Niisama!"
Kaiba jerked up out of his thoughts. He gave Mokuba an annoyed look, "What is it?"
"You've been spaced out for like five minutes! I tried to get your attention three times! Are you sure you're getting enough sleep?"

Enjin was growing frustrated. Akina had disappeared, he couldn't find a damn thing out about this Kisa girl, and he was having a hard time keeping Gin down. He didn't know what had happened, but something had changed with Gin when his power rebounded upon him during his attempt to tune Kisa. Gin had actually come close to waking up a couple times there, but Enjin had managed to keep him down. Still, if this kept up, he'd be forced to abandon this body. He didn't want to do that. He still needed Gin's body for his plans back in his world, especially if he wanted to keep manipulating cute little Ao.
At least he was finally able to do something about that lack of knowledge about Kisa.
He continued standing on the other side of the door, wondering exactly how he should go about this. There was the more violent method, but there was the possibility of Kaiba being able to fight. Animals could work; he had stopped by a pet shop and bought a couple of salamanders on the way here for a reason, but he didn't want to tune more than he had to. And then, of course, there was the option of kidnapping his sweet little brother Mokuba.
Well, that had been the option Zorc had recommended. Still, he had to get into the room.
"Satellite," Enjin said, and electricity sparked around his ears for a moment. He gave a smirk. Mokuba was the closest to the door. Yes, he was confident now. He quite simply walked over to the door and knocked a couple times.
-------------------
"Ammy, I'm gettin' a bad feeling!"
I'm going as fast as I can! Ammy snarled. And she was; despite the snow, green sprouts were shooting up from the ground in a trail behind her. She knew it had been a mistake to leave Kaiba alone for the day.
"This wouldnta happened if you hadn't run off to fix that lady's flower garden!" Issun yelled back.

Kaiba gave an annoyed look for a second. It was arguable he wasn't, but he knew that wasn't the issue. He'd pulled many all nighters before. Mokuba expected an answer, so he turned away and stacked up the papers on his desk.
"I can relax after the product launch," Kaiba said.
Mokuba frowned, "Niisama, you-"
Both of the Kaibas looked up as someone knocked on the door. Kaiba frowned, he wasn't expecting anyone and he hadn't given this address out to anyone except business. He stood up and walked over to where a briefcase rest.
"Could you get that, Mokuba?"
Mokuba looked annoyed at the conversation interrupption. Then again, his older brother was done with the conversation. He sighed and walked over to the door, pulling it open. His eyes widened as he saw the person standing in the doorway, and he stumbled back.
"What are you doing here?!"
Kaiba had turned around even before Mokuba had spoken. He had heard the misstep. He was moving forward as soon as his eyes fell on Enjin, his expression a glare. While Mokuba was dressed in standard fair, Kaiba had on a white suit. It was a pity he was lacking his usual trenchcoat, as it would have likely added an extra level of epic as Kaiba pretty much vaulted over the couch. He'd be at Mokuba's side in about two seconds, givnig a very narrow window of time if Enjin had intentions to do anything.

Enjin had expected Kaiba to move as quickly as he had, and had moved just as quickly as Kaiba had. The moment Mokuba realized who he was, Enjin grabbed the boy and pulled him up so that his head was restrained by Enjin's arm, and Mokuba was dangling in midair. It would be at least mildly uncomfortable for Mokuba.
Enjin smirked as he reached into his coat with his other hand and pulled out a switchblade. He held it in the air so Kaiba could see it.
"I certainly hope you know what this is," Enjin said. "I thought I might upgrade, since you seemed to think my old box cutter was so crude before." His tone was mocking.
He pressed a button on the side of the handle, and the switch on the inside of the handle activated, springing the blade out. He held it up by Mokuba's neck, which was still restrained by Enjin's arm.
"It will be easier for both of us if you just answer my questions," Enjin stated. "Let's start off with Shiroi Kisa. Why does she have a Blue Eyes White Dragon in her soul?"

Kaiba had attempted to grab Mokuba to pull him back, but Enjin had moved fast enough that even with their respective speeds, Kaiba just missed his brother. Mokuba's eyes widened and he tried to pull loose. This lead to his legs flailing as he was pulled into the air, now with trouble breathing. He tried to kick Enjin in the legs, but the man had the angle just right to avoid. Kaiba gave a very nasty glare, to put it mildly, as Enjin showed off his blade and proceeded to taunt him. His eyes widened as Enjin held the knife up to Mokuba. It was then that Kaiba showed traces of an emotion he rarely showed anyone... Fear.
"You will put my brother down," Kaiba literally growled. The anger was well winning over the fear. His glare only got deeper as Enjin mentioned Kisa, "I don't know anything about that girl! Put Mokuba down now!"
"Niisama..." Mokuba managed to squeak out. He tried to shift his angle without driving the blade into his neck, and attempted to kick Enjin again.

Enjin only smirked as Kaiba reacted to his actions. The man was making himself very easy to read. Enjin's grin widened as Kaiba reacted to the question about Kisa, and pressed the knife a little closer to Mokuba's neck as the boy continued to struggle. The man's emotions were just so obviously displayed, it was like he wasn't even trying to hide his fear.
Not only did Kaiba know about Kisa, but he knew a fair bit. However, right now he was more concerned about the welfare of his little brother to care, and even if he wasn't, Enjin doubted he'd answer.
"I don't think you quite understood my intentions, Kaiba-san," Enjin said. "I have no problems with killing your dear little brother if you don't answer me." He pressed the blade closer to Mokuba's neck, so it left a small cut. "Now, let's try this again. What do you know about the dragon in Shiroi Kisa's soul?"

Kaiba's glare deepened and one could see his clenched teeth as Enjin cut into Mokuba. He wasn't letting Enjin get away with this, and somewhere in the corner of his mind he swore that the man would pay for the actions here. But right now his hands were infuriatingly tied. Even if he could get some kind of attack in, there was likely little preventing Enjin from snatching up Mokuba again and killing him. Mokuba, on the other hand, had stopped flailing as the blade cut into his throat. Everything Kaiba said was now coming out as an infuriated growl.
"All I know is that it looks like the Blue Eyes, White Dragon from Duel Monsters, the strongest monster in the game..." Kaiba growled, "I don't know about any of this soul nonsense! If you harm Mokuba any more, I will end you if it's the last thing I do!"

It was at that that Enjin's expression fell. The man's expression did not say he was lying, and with how badly Kaiba had been doing at hiding his emotions so far, Enjin knew the man at least didn't think he was lying. This was reaching a bit of a dead end.
"I suppose if you care about your brother that much, you give me no choice," Enjin taunted. He moved to slice Mokuba's throat...
...and the glass of the window to their left exploded into the room as a white shape crashed through it.
A snarling white wolf landed on the floor in front of Kaiba, skidding a bit on the carpet as it landed. Despite the broken glass on the floor, it didn't seem to be bothered, and continued to angrily paw the ground. It gave a loud growl and bark at Enjin, who smirked.
"...Well well. This is a top floor apartment," Enjin chuckled. "You're not a normal wolf, are you?"
Kaiba would likely notice something as the wolf landed in front of him. This was the same white wolf that had been practically stalking him for the past day, always waiting outside the building for him and following him. Even if he'd tried to shoo it off, it still had followed him.

There had been a surge of power coming from Kaiba there for about half a second before the glass exploded inwards. As a matter of fact, there had been one coming from Mokuba as well. It was quite likely Enjin would have sensed it giving his host. Both of them dropped as the glass burst inwards. Kaiba's eyes looked wide at the white wolf. That had burst through the window. Of a top floor skyscraper-like apartment complex.
Mokuba had gone still with fright from two different sources there. He blinked as he looked towards the white wolf that had come out of nowhere, and proceeded to try to kick Enjin again. He then proceeded to attempt to bite his arm. Kaiba wasn't quite sure what to do with the shift in fortunes, but he was also quite sure he'd figure it out later.
"Let Mokuba go," he ordered with another growl, "Or else."
The fear seemed mostly gone, and once he'd gathered himself, there seemed to be... something. It was quite similar to how something had seemed to be rising in Kisa. Whatever it was didn't seem to be as strong, though. There was no indication he was even consciously aware of it, his warning coming from the shift of situation more than anything else.

Enjin had felt the surge of power, but he'd ignored it, what with the sudden dynamic entry of a wolf distracting him. Or rather, a not quite wolf, as he became aware of a flaming disc hovering above the wolf's back. So a god, then. How interesting.
Amaterasu took a step forward and continued to growl as Kaiba made his warning.
"Yeah, let the kid go!"
A glowing green light hopped up from the fur ruff of the wolf and continued hopping here. If Kaiba was paying attention (which he likely wasn't), he'd realize that the green "bug" was actually human shaped.
Enjin smirked. He could still feel that strange rise in power from Kaiba, and honestly, he was quite curious as to what it was.
"I don't think you're quite in the position to be making 'or else' statements, Kaiba-san," Enjin said. "Even with your new kami friend."
There was the sound of slicing metal, and Enjin suddenly dropped the switchblade. There was a deep diagonal cut across fingers. It seemed that the sudden cut from out of nowhere was what had caused him to drop it.
Issun was holding out the brush end of Denkomaru. "You were sayin'?"

Kaiba wasn't unaware of the voice. If he'd sat down to think about it, it's likely he would have come up with the explanation of a small microphone. Even the light could be explained by technology. Right now, he was far too involved in the situation at hand. Kaiba had begun to regain confidence with the situation, even if he didn't know who was responsible for the interference.
He'd gone into motion as soon as the switchblade fell. As a result, he'd missed Issun's comment, and he was well past ignoring Enjin's statement about gods. One had to give the teenager credit for speed. Unless Enjin moved very fast, he'd find an elbow right shoulder. Kaiba intended on catching Mokuba on the likely event Enjin dropped him. The rise in power was dropping down, though.

Enjin actually threw Mokuba to the ground as Kaiba rushed at him. The boy hit the ground rather roughly, and it gave Enjin a chance to duck under Kaiba's attack. He took the moment he knew it would take Kaiba to recover to try to kick his legs out from under him, and then grabbed Mokuba by the collar of his shirt as he stood up again, pulling the boy up with him.

If Kaiba was the sort of person to bother complimenting the ability of others, or even take note of it, he might have been mildly impressed at the speed Enjiin dodged. The fact was he wasn't, and so he was merely annoyed as he hit thin air. Kaiba took a step back to regain his balance, and tried to get Mokuba out of the way. Enjin countered with his kick, and Kaiba only managed to dodge it at the expense of pulling Mokuba out of the way. Enjin yanked the black haired pre-teen up. "Let me go!" Mokuba shouted at him, grabbing Enjin's wrist with both of his hands and trying to somehow make the man let go of his shirt. He was actually practically clawing at the man. "I have had enough of this!" Kaiba shouted. His energy finally flared up to a breaking point. Everyone in the room capable of sensing spirits and other such things would be quite aware of it. Kaiba's own eyes widened at the surge. With a level of speed rather inhuman, a very dark blue humanoid figure shout out from Kaiba's own aura and towards Enjin. On the likely chance it hit, it would pull back and take a defensive posture in front of Kaiba, and if possible, over Mokuba. The sword it carried was over half its hight and had gold work over it. (OOC: Have a horrible picture of the Ka Kaiba just subconsciously summoned: yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Duos )

Despite Mokuba's clawing, Enjin didn't let go. He still could use the boy, even with how the situation seemed to be getting worse. If only he could--
Kaiba summoned his Ka at that moment. Amaterasu actually moved away from Kaiba as the Ka appeared, and her ears flattened down against her head. Enjin, on the other hand, was caught off guard, and he was knocked to the ground, letting go of Mokuba as he fell. As he hit the ground, there was the sound of glass shattering, and a couple of salamanders crawled their way out of his pocket.
Enjin gave a growl and caught one of the salamanders in his uninjured hand before it could get too far away. His ears and hand sparked with electricity, and there was a bright flash of light from inside Enjin's hand. He let go of the rapidly growing salamander and scooted away from it. By the time he was against the other wall, the salamander was nearly as tall as the room.
"I suppose I have no choice..." Enjin chuckled. "Well, I'm not sure why you can summon a spirit from your soul too, but this is quite the interesting development.

Mokuba hit the ground for the second time in a couple minute span. This time he scrambled away, staring up in shocked awe at the thing that his older brother had summoned. It had been Kaiba who had summoned it, right? He jerked his head towards Kaiba, who seemed almost as stunned as he was. It looked a lot like the monster card Buster Blader, but there were quite a few differences as well.
Kaiba shook his head rapidly. He couldn't lose focus here, Mokuba wasn't safe. While the situation had taken an unpredictable turn, he could bother with figuring it out later. This reminded him of what he'd convinced himself had been an elaborate mass hallucination with Douma, and even more strongly of the Ancient Egyptian look alike in that world Bakura had drawn him too.
Kaiba didn't move as the salamander grew. Back to those tricks. He wasn't going to let the overgrown reptile bother him this time. He grabbed Mokuba's collar and pulled him back, positioning the startled pre-teen just behind him. He threw a hand forward, the attack forming in his mind quite similar to how he came up with attacks in Duel Monsters.
"Aura Sword!"
The summoned monster flew up so that he was standing just forward of Kaiba and just below the ceiling. It slashed its sword in a wide arc, and a beam of light shot at the salamander, who didn't seem ready to stop growing anytime soon. Given its size and the situation, there was really no chance for it to dodge. The blade of light cut the poor thing's head clear off, and it slid off and hit the floor of the apartment with a rather solid thud. The body slowly began to tip, and the growing had halted. Kaiba was speaking to Enjin as soon as he was sure the attack had connected.
"Get the hell out of my apartment!"
Mokuba, in the mean time, was looking at the white wolf. While Kaiba was involved with the fight, the black haired pre-teen had plenty of time to wonder just what the hell had happened. There was no way that wolf could have just climbed the side of the building. It was just a wolf! He jerked his head towards Kaiba as he shouted for the monster to attack, but quickly looked back towards Amaterasu.
"What are you...? Are you causing this...?"
