Ryoji looked startled at the question, being shaken out of his thoughts by it. He had a worried look for a second and still didn't seem thrilled with talking.
"I.. I don't think we should tell Souji if he doesn't know," Ryoji said, "There's nothing we can do if he's already dead..."
Because at the end of the day, Ryoji still qualified as a pessimist. Even though Minato had managed to save him this time around, he still tended to have a rather... sour outlook on chances. And he was telling himself that. Nothing could be done if a person had already lost their life.
----------
"H-hey, he's not a bug!" Teddie said, stumbling backwards. He managed to smack into someone, and jumped in surprise and spun around. There was a tanned woman with black hair there, and she seemed almost as startled as Teddie.
"Are you alright?" she asked, surprising the blond with her Japanese.
"S-sorry!" Teddie stuttered out. She reminded him of Atem with her skin tone.
She looked past him at the man and down towards Teddie, seeming to analyze something. She made sure Teddie was stable before stepping past him and lifting up two fingers.
"I apologize if this is an inconvenience, but could I get two orders?" She glanced back at Teddie before looking at the man, "I believe you may have been the victim of a prank with the request before."
----------
Yuugi gave a worried frown towards Atsuro. He wasn't sure... he wanted to leave Atsuro alone, although he couldn't figure out just why. Adil didn't look entirely happy with it either, and there was a remarkably mature and critical gaze he was giving the teenager. And then it just suddenly dropped, and he stepped over to Atsuro. This seemed to startle everyone in the group, although Atem seemed to be watching his movements.
- "I think Anzu-chan needs a break from this area too, so why don't you come with us?" - Adil suggested. He looked down at Amaterasu and gave a wide smile, crouching enough to scratch her on the head, - "I think your dog wants to come, too." -
----------
Sayuri returned his confession with a gentle stare. So something was wrong, as she had suspected, but he wasn't sure of it any more than she was. Still, something did seem off. She was seeing that almost schism between Izanagi and Souji she hadn't seen since before he claimed to have united. And it worried her.
"Do you have any ideas what it could be?" she questioned.

Minato looked away as Ryoji said that. It was obvious from his expression that he was deep in thought. He was running through the options in his head, and after a moment, he shook his head.
"If he's dead, he needs to at least... know that," Minato said. "I want to help him, but I don't know how. I've got my doubts that we can even do anything to help him, but... dammit!"
------------------
Issun nearly fell off of Teddie's head from the sheer force the bear moved back with. He managed to fall off when Teddie smacked into the woman behind him. The Poncle hit the ground upsidedown, which caused him to flip over onto his back due to his hat.
"Ow." Issun looked up at the woman as she stepped forward to buy their takoyaki. However due to his angle, he really didn't see her face. Instead, her saw her breasts.
"W-Woah..." It was probably to Issun's benefit that the woman couldn't see him right now. It was probably not to his benefit that if he remained down there much longer, someone would probably squish him.
------------------
Atsuro took a few instinctive steps away from Adil as the man stepped toward him. It was unlikely Adil meant any harm, and Atsuro realized this, but that didn't stop the habitual reaction from kicking in. He blinked as Adil leaned down and scratched Amaterasu behind the ears.
-"No, I think I do something by myself for some time,"- Atsuro said. -"A-And she not my dog."-
Amaterasu gave a low whine and pushed against Atsuro again, more forcibly this time.
-------------------
Souji remained silent at Sayuri's question. He had some ideas, but none of them were things he wanted to think about. Besides, the most prominent one didn't even seem likely nor possible. He didn't have a soul to lose in the first place, after all. There was no way it had anything to do with that.
"No," Souji said. He closed his eyes, only to feel another wave of drowsiness come upon him. He forced his eyes open again and turned toward Sayuri. "I suppose you don't have a clue either?"

Ryoji hung his head. He didn't intend on arguing, once Minato made up his mind he could not be argued with. Goodness knows Ryoji had tried on several occassions. But he really didn't think they should tell him. If Minato was right... there wouldn't be anything. Then again, hadn't Minato come back body and all? There were flutterings of memory in regards to that, but he didn't know... an idea occurred to him. He lifted his head, surprised at the thought... or even his ability to come up with an option.
"Minato, what about that Velvet Room place Souji and Teddie mentioned? Didn't they help you before? If this is related to something involving Persona, maybe they could help? We really can't go telling Souji if you're not sure, right?"
----------
The man frowned for a moment, seeming to consider, but shrugged and began preparing the batter. The woman looked back towards Teddie and blinked that he'd crouched down, and was staring at the ground. She followed his gaze and saw something quite small and glowing. She couldn't really make it out, though... she blinked when she finally caught the shape. A person?
"Oh... were you the one that spoke before?" To Issun's luck, she really wasn't able to make out just where he was staring.
----------
Adil frowned for a moment, looking worried. He really didn't feel comfortable leaving the teenager by himself. If he'd had any inclination whatsoever to do so, the dog's reactions made it clear it was a bad idea. There was a reason the teenager wanted to be by himself, but Adil couldn't puzzle it out. He did know it wasn't a good thing, or as simple as just needing time alone.
- "This is a festival, you shouldn't be wandering around by yourself. It makes you look desperate," - Adil said. He was smiling and even gave a wink, but his eyes betrayed a more serious emotion. He walked around behind Atsuro and attempted to push him forward, glancing at Anzu as he did so, - "C'mon Anzu-chan, he's gonna go sit by himself and be depressed if we let him wander off." -
"Adil-kun's right, Atsuro-kun. This is a festival, you shouldn't be by yourself!" Anzu said.
Jounouchi leaned towards Atsuro and whispered, "If you don't go with her she'll make you regret it later, y'know?"
"Jounouchi-kun, no one asked you!" Anzu said.
----------
Sayuri's eyes widened as Souji sort of wobbled. This was far more than mere exhaustion, really it was. And she was pretty sure he had some theories even if he wasn't stating them. She kept a firm gaze on him until he recovered and then began to eat in silence again. After a moment she looked up.
"That surprises me, to tell the truth," she stated, "You are usually quite good at at least examining possible angles."

Minato was rather surprised that Ryoji had even gone that angle. Could it be Persona related? Souji had supposedly lost his ability to summon his Persona when he merged with Izanagi, but somehow Minato doubted any of this would actually happen to a god. It had to be something else.
"You're right, we should ask Igor first," Minato said. "...though I don't know how to get to the Velvet Room now that Tartarus is gone."
---------------
Issun gave a slow nod, somewhat grateful his hat shaded his face enough that the woman couldn't see it. He climbed to his feet.
"Yep! I'm Issun, Celestial Envoy! And who would you be, sweetcheeks?"
------------------
The more the others pressed him, the more trapped Atsuro began to look. He knew the others were just concerned, but it didn't stop him from just feeling trapped. He didn't move fast enough to stop Adil from pushing him from behind. He fell forward a bit, and when he recovered, his stance was not unlike the one he'd held when Atem had startled him that morning a week ago. It was unlikely Atem would miss it.
"I'm fine! Really! Please, just stop freaking out!" Atsuro said.
---------------
"Yeah..." Souji said. He wasn't sure why he couldn't come up with any angles that weren't completely illogical. He wavered again, and he could already tell he was fighting a losing battle here. The drowsiness likely wasn't helping his thinking processes much, either. He ended up leaning over a bit, and his head managed to land right on Sayuri's shoulder.
"...Sorry... can I just... borrow your shoulder for a bit?" Souji was struggling to keep his eyes open. Whether Sayuri answered him or not, he would end up asleep then and there.

Ryoji frowned when Minato spoke. So there was no way to get there, then? He considered for a moment. Hadn't Souji had access to it? Which was after Tartarus had been sealed in their world, so there had to be a way to access it, right? Unfortunately for Minato, Ryoji didn't have much of his memories as Pharos (and if he'd been asked, he would reply that most of them were more Death's than his), so he couldn't ask about the contract...
"How did you get there before? Um... didn't Koromaru tell Teddie he'd been there?" Ryoji looked down at Koromaru, "Maybe he knows?"
----------
The woman blinked. Celestial Envoy? She wasn't sure what that meant. Her knowledge related to the Ancient Egyptian mythos, not the Japanese one. The words implied a sort of go between from the divine to the secular though, which further implied a connection to gods. And then Issun had to end it the way he did. She gave a flat and fairly unamused frown and straightened up just as the man was boxing up the order.
"Here you go, miss," he said, and he added the price at the end. Teddie shot up and held out one of the yen notes, leaving Issun on the ground for the moment. He looked at the woman while he waited for his change.
"My name's Teddie!"
The woman smiled and gave a very slight bow towards Teddie and then towards Issun, "My name is Ishizu Ishtar."
"Are you Egyptian?" Teddie asked.
Ishizu blinked, "Why yes, why do you ask?"
----------
Adil frowned at Atsuro's insistance. His mind was thinking of the possibilities as to why someone in his apparent condition would want to be alone. Why he was getting signs that he shouldn't be left alone... a thought occurred to him. He removed his hands from Atsuro's back.
- "If it bothers you that much, we can leave you alone. However..." - he leaned forward a bit, and spoke in a hushed voice. He didn't want the others to hear, - "I know for a fact your friends would be worried if something happened to you. So don't do anything reckless." -
Atem had indeed gained a frown at Atsuro's reaction. He was feeling crowded, and was liable to take the flight option the first chance he got if they kept it up. That would help nothing, because Atem couldn't convince himself Atsuro would come back. He had taken a quick step forward when Adil leaned forward and whispered something. Atem hadn't been able to make it out. The man's usual relaxed smile had returned as he had stepped back, though. What had he said...?
"Could you at least take Ammy with you?" Yuugi asked once Adil stepped back, "I mean, I know she's... erm..." he hesitated and looked at Adil, "Well, special, but it's less bothersome than we would be, right?"
Maybe Adil couldn't speak Japanese, but Yuugi found himself considering "megami" a common enough word he didn't want to risk it. Adil had already turned to Anzu and seemed to be asking if she wanted to hang out. Yuugi fully realized for the first time that maybe Adil wasn't as unobservant as his relaxed nature seemed to give. He shook away how that could have connection to Shadi with a shake of his head.
----------
Sayuri looked startled as Souji all but collapsed on her shoulder, but she didn't tense. He mumbled something to her she couldn't quite make out before his body fully relaxed. Her eyes widened until she heard him breathing. She didn't have to be worried, right? It was just an avatar... right? She frowned before adjusting Souji so that his head was in her lap, and looked at his sleeping face.
She really had no idea what could be wrong, but that only made her more worried... Did she need to talk to his friends? She didn't like the idea of going to them for advice, she knew how they felt about her (and honestly, it was justified). she looked up at the sky as Souji slept, finding a worry about him waking up. She'd know if he was dying... right?

At the sound of his name, Koromaru got to his feet again and gave a bark. Minato turned to the dog and frowned. "It's possible he might be able to." He crouched down by the dog. "Koromaru, do you know where another door to the Velvet Room would be?"
The dog gave another bark, and stopped to sniff the air before running off in the direction of the shrine. Minato turned toward Ryoji.
"Come on, let's follow him," Minato said, and ran after the dog.
----------------
Issun jumped up onto Ishizu's shoulder once she grabbed the boxes of takoyaki. He really didn't care about her being Egyptian, as Teddie had asked, and really cared more that A) she was hot, and B) she was holding two boxes of delicious takoyaki right now.
"Hey, sweetcheeks! This stuff smells delicious!" Issun said. "Y'know, I'm perfectly willing to share mine... Heheh."
----------------
Atsuro's eyes widened at Adil's words. The man knew. Atsuro didn't know how, but he knew. Had he just read his reactions and guessed? Atsuro was finding that the most likely answer. Cain had been able to do that in the past, after all. Amaterasu stopped pressing against Atsuro's legs, but she continued to give a low whine.
"I guess so..." Atsuro said in response to Yuugi's question. He scratched Amaterasu again and she gave a few pleased wags of her tail. "I'll meet you guys later when the duel starts, okay?" He looked down at the wolf. "Come on, Ammy."
The wolf followed after Atsuro as he began to walk away from the group and toward a more secluded area of the shrine. She remained close to him, and she seemed more on guard than anything. It wasn't just out of concern for Atsuro. Amaterasu could sense something coming.

Ryoji hadn't expected it to go that quickly. He gave a quick look towards Minato, who responded in kind and suggested they follow Koromaru. There was no chance to respond before Minato ran off, but Ryoji thought he would have agreed either way. He ran after Minato and Koromaru.
----------
Ishizu gave a hard to read expression as Issun addressed her again after jumping on her shoulder. Teddie took his change and the two boxes he was handled and looked towards Issun and Ishizu. She had asked why he asked.
"Well, I've got a friend that's Egyptian," Teddie said, "His name's Atem!"
"O-oh... I'm afraid I assumed it was someone else. It does not seem to be a common ethnicity around here..." she held out her hand to her shoulder and looked towards Issun, "I'm afraid I'm not a fan of meat. I think you should return to your friend now."
Teddie frowned at Ishizu's disappointed reaction. Him mentioning Egyptians had made her hopeful...? He held out a hand towards Issun as Ishizu suggested he return, "Are you looking for someone...?"
Ishizu gave a pained smile, "My brother. He vanished from my world and I'm very concerned he may be injured."
----------
Atem looked towards Adil, - "What being with him? You knowing?" -
Adil blinked and looked towards Atem. Well, the other Egyptian did seem the observant sort. Anzu looked concerned at the exchange. When Yuugi seemed confused by the words, she slipped past Adil and next to him, whispering a translation. Yuugi waved his hands.
"I-I think he's just depressed! He's been through a lot lately..."
Atem frowned. He... was pretty sure it was more than that. There was a thought that had occurred to him that he didn't think would occur to Yuugi. His Partner didn't tend to think that way, after all.

Koromaru ended up leading the two of them to a building that was rather familiar to Minato. Mainly because of the circumstances he'd last visited there before. However, Minato looked rather confused as Koromaru led them there. Actually, the dog looked a little confused too.
"...Koromaru, this isn't the Velvet Room," Minato said. He looked toward the honden and narrowed his eyes. "...this is the building we broke into the last time we came here."
Koromaru gave a whine. He had followed the scent he remembered to be that of the Velvet Room here, but the scent had disappeared once he'd reached this building.
----------------
Issun's jaw dropped. She didn't like meat?! He quite gladly moved onto Ishizu's hand after she said that. She'd just lost major awesome points with that statement about meat. Sure, it was just an opinion, but it was meat, dammit.
He frowned when she mentioned her brother. "Your bro's missing? Well that ain't good."
-----------------
Atsuro walked to the edge of the shrine and sat down on a bench. Amaterasu curled up by his feet. He sighed and reached into his shoulder bag, pulling out K1's headphones once more. They were his last memento of who'd been lost, and the constant reminder of how he'd failed.
Cain had always told Seth to throw himself off of the hotel if he wanted to die so badly. Atsuro had a feeling the man would have thought the same about Atsuro's stupid death wish right now. After all, it was the same as Seth's had been. He wanted to make himself useful one last time before dying. Atsuro knew there was no point in him living any longer. He curled his hand into a fist. Stupid Adil, reminding him of what he already knew: he'd hurt Yuugi-tachi by killing himself.
Atsuro bent over, scratching Amaterasu behind the ears again. "Why are you so protective of me all of the sudden...? I'm nothing special..."
Amaterasu got to her feet again, and stared Atsuro in the face. It was just as Atsuro was beginning to feel a bit uncomfortable (after all, he was staring at a dog) that she suddenly wheeled toward the main crowd and began to growl. Atsuro got to his feet, and slowly, the figure she was growling at came into view... and the day got a whole lot worse for Atsuro. Because the figure recognized him too.
"Atsuro...?"

Ryoji had come up beside Minato just as the blue haired teenager was telling Koromaru he had made a mistake. Ryoji looked down at the dog, noted he seemed confused as well, and took a few quick steps towards the door. Yep, there was a lock there, as he expected. He looked back towards Minato and shook his head.
"Well, if there's a path there from inside, there's no way we can know," Ryoji said.
What he didn't notice was the blue butterfly fly up behind him and land on the lock. It seemed content to stay there for the time being, its wings occasionally fluttering in a way that indicated it was maintaining balance. It would fly if anyone approached the lock, though.
----------
Teddie took Issun, and after a moment of trying to figure out where he should go, deposted the Poncle back in his hair. He looked sorry for Ishizu, who had given a solemn nod towards Issun.
"Yes. He... vanished from my world after an earthquake. I only recently arrived here a few days ago due to certain... circumstances."
"Hey, we might have seen him! What does he look like?" Teddie asked.
Ishizu seemed touched by the question, "I suppose his most distinguishing trait would be his platinum blond hair..."
----------
- "Well, he seems very depressed. You two are close friends of his, right?" - Adil asked Atem.
Yuugi looked confused, and Anzu handled translating for him again. His eyes widened and he gave a quick nod towards Adil. The language barrier certainly was a hassle, and he found himself wishing he'd paid better attention in English class. Atem had given a solemn nod as well. Neither Jounouchi nor Honda seemed deeply involved in the conversation, having moved on to watching a Duel at the table behind the group.
- "Don't let him dodge your questions," - Adil said, - "He's very depressed, although I can't begin to guess why." -

Minato had been about to say something when he spotted something land on the lock of the honden's door. His eyes widened, and he spoke without turning toward Ryoji.
"Ryoji." Minato slowly raised his hand and pointed toward the door's lock. This was twice that he'd seen this butterfly in this world. The first time it had appeared to be leading Koromaru to them. And now it was waiting on that door. Was it trying to tell them something?
----------------------
Issun frowned. Platinum blond hair... platinum blond hair... He couldn't think of anyone who had hair like that and skin like hers. He looked up toward Teddie.
"Hey, Blondie? You ever meet a guy like that?"
--------------------
The man was still standing outside of the shrine, but Atsuro could see him just fine. The man could see Atsuro just fine too, and as he began to take steps toward him, Atsuro could feel his heart beat faster. It had to be a ghost. Abel didn't still wear those headphones. He didn't wear that white cloak. He didn't wear those clothes. The man crossed the boundary separating the shrine and the outside world.
"A-Abel...?" Atsuro breathed. Amaterasu snarled and jumped between the man and Atsuro before he could fully close the distance. The man looked down at Amaterasu with his blank, dead eyes, and looked back toward Atsuro.
"You're alive...? And young...?" The man asked. Atsuro paled. Why was he asking that? Why did that matter? And who the hell was this?!
"Who... who are you...?" Atsuro said quietly. Before the man could answer, a voice suddenly rang through both of their heads. It was a strong feminine voice, and it belonged to none of the people Atsuro had met as of late.
You will not bring any greater harm to this human, King of Bel!

Ryoji blinked as Minato said his name in a hushed voice. He was pointing behind him. At the door? Minato seemed in some kind of awe, so Ryoji found himself turning. The butterfly was off the lock before he finished the movement, but Ryoji managed to see it. He felt a sort of distant familiarity pop up in his mind, like an indescribably strong sense of deja vu.
Contract...
Ryoji shook his head, and by the time he got his thoughts to focus, the butterfly was gone. He turned towards Minato with a somewhat lost expression. What had that been, did Minato know? He remembered it from before, but... there seemed to be a meaning going on here that he felt he should be getting and wasn't.
"Minato...?"
----------
Teddie looked for a moment like he was going to answer to the negative. Ishizu in fact expected it. Their family had always been of a more reclusive sort, they likely had their parents (in particular, their father) to thank for that. And then Teddie's eyes widened and one could almost see the light bulb above his head.
"Atem knows someone like that! He was at the apartment building for a while, but I don't think the left on good terms..."
"Then you have seen him?! Was he okay? I thought for sure he'd been crushed! And..." Ishizu hesitated, "Who is Atem? Does he know a boy by the name of Yuugi?"
Teddie looked impressed, "Wow, you know Yuugi too?"
----------
Sayuri was letting Souji sleep off his exhaustion when she felt a ripple in the protective barrier around the shrine. She locked up and jerked her head to the side. Something very powerful had just stepped through the barrier. Supernatural beings had to have a certain power level to enter without permission, and this stood above even most of them. As desperately as she wanted to let Souji continue to sleep, this had to be looked into. She put her hands on Souji's shoulders.
"Souji-san, you need to wake up. There is something that needs my attention..."
She was also secretly worried he wasn't going to. Had he fallen into a coma? He wasn't dying, she could tell that, but it didn't placate her fears.
"Souji..."

Minato took a few steps forward when the butterfly flew off, reaching his hand out to it and only drawing it back once it flew out of view. He grimaced, and then slowly approached the door. He grasped the lock and looked down at it.
"...That butterfly, I saw it on the day I first came to Port Island. Before I came here, I didn't see it again until the day I died," Minato sounded more like he was talking to himself than to Ryoji. "I don't think this place leads to the Velvet Room, but it's connected somehow."
He turned back toward Ryoji. "I don't think we should go in. I'm getting a bad feeling, and I think that butterfly was trying to tell us something."
--------------------
Issun tilted his head to the side a bit. So this lady knew Yuugi and Atem too? He let his mind jump to the logical conclusion and facepalmed. Aw great, more crazy mystical Egyptian people. It was always Egypt this and Egypt that with that group. Not like he'd ever heard of this Egypt place before coming here in the first place.
"You've probably met that Atem guy at least once. He's got yer skin and Yuugi's hair," Issun added.
-------------------
Despite Sayuri's words, Souji did not wake. The steady rise and fall of his chest indicated that he was still alive, but it would do nothing to help the goddess' fears that he'd fallen into a coma. It was only when she repeated his name that Souji began to stir, and he opened his eyes to find Sayuri looking down at him and sunlight glaring in his eyes. He winced and squeezed his eyes shut again before sitting up. He remembered falling asleep on Sayuri's shoulder, but he'd woken up on her lap. Had she moved him?
He looked back toward Sayuri. "Sayuri-chan? What is it?"
-------------------
Abel regarded Amaterasu with a flat expression, one Atsuro had seen many times since Abel had taken the throne. It was an almost bored, almost amused expression, like he thought it was funny something like this dared to stand against him. Atsuro took another step away from Abel, more out of reflex than anything. Whoever this was, it wasn't the Abel Atsuro knew, but it still had his expressions, his mannerisms... but it wasn't him.
"A kami...?" Abel asked. "However, you are mistaken. I have long given up the title of King of Bel."
Do not lie to me! Amaterasu gave another loud snarl. Your actions have already driven this human close to death! Do you wish to send your friend over that last cliff's edge to his demise?!
Atsuro paled and backed up even further. It was at Abel's words that he'd realized something. "A-Ammy... I don't think he's lying..."
"I never lie, Atsuro," Abel said. "You know that."
Atsuro gulped. He wanted to get away from here. He didn't know what was going on. He didn't think Abel knew either. His eyes glanced toward the sword at Abel's waist. The Abel he knew never carried a sword. The Abel he knew preferred to use his bare hands.

Ryoji gave a nervous laugh. He rather wanted to tell Minato that butterflies couldn't tell anyone anything, but a memory had stirred at the site of it. He couldn't say that to Minato without feeling like he was lying. He looked towards the honden again. Bad feeling? Ryoji didn't know if he was getting that, but...
"Alright. Maybe Souji knows. Even if he can't go there anymore, he might know a place to reach it from," Ryoji said, "Didn't you have some questions to ask? You can tell him that's why you need to go."
----------
Ishizu had a worried frown as Issun said she'd probably met Atem. No, she'd never met anyone by that name, let alone someone who spent time with Yuugi and his friends. Her eyes widened upon Issun's description of him, though. Her skin, an indication of race, and Yuugi's hair... it didn't quite seem possible, but she could think of no other explanation. Her hand went to her throat and she frowned, wishing she had some way to know what was happening here.
"Are you okay...?" Teddie asked.
Ishizu gave a tense smile and nodded, "I do not wish to put you out, but would it be possible for you to bring me to Yuugi and his friends? Given the lavish presentation of this festival, I can only presume he would be present."
----------
Sayuri looked worried when Souji didn't wake up. She was terrified, but it only showed as very slight worry lines. There had to be something she could do, and Souji was more important than a powerful being entering the Shrine. That had always been a weakness of her and her brother, valuing each other over tradition. She was about to attempt to wake him again when his eyes finally opened. The relief was evident on her face.
"Souji-san, something has stepped past the barrier between the shrine and the outside world. I'm not sure what it is, but it is unfamiliar and strong," she took one of his hands, "Can you feel it?"
|

Minato nodded. Souji had gone to be with Izanami, so he was probably wherever she was. It likely wouldn't take long to find them considering she was the miko of this shrine. It was possible she knew something, too.
He turned toward Koromaru, who was still pacing near the door of the honden. "Come on, Koromaru." The dog whimpered and followed after Minato.
-------------------
Issun grinned. "Lady, he's the main attraction! Didn'ya hear? He's gonna be playing that Kaiba guy at a card game later today!"
He hopped back over onto Ishizu's shoulder. "But we can definitely take ya to him now... you just gotta do somethin' for me..."
It was probably smart for Teddie to stop Issun before the Poncle dug himself into a bigger hole.
------------
Souji blinked with confusion as Sayuri took one of his hands. He frowned and closed his eyes in concentration, willing away the drowsiness that attempted to set in once more just from his closing his eyes. If he had to sleep, it could wait until after this. He scrunched his face up in concentration. He could feel something, but only just barely. It also felt rather familiar.
"...A little bit," Souji finally said. He put his other hand over Sayuri's. "You should go. Whatever this thing is, it's invaded the boundaries of your shrine, and you need to do something about it."
Besides, I'd just be a burden in my condition...

Abel took a few more steps toward Atsuro, only to be stopped again by the snarling wolf. His gaze began to gain traces of annoyance. The man only wished to speak with Atsuro, but the wolf was keeping him from doing so. Atsuro swallowed back some saliva and grasped a bench with both hands to support himself. It was about then that he realized he was shaking.
"...You're scared of me, Atsuro," Abel said. "You've never been afraid of me. Everything about you is different from what I know."
"...I-I don't think I'm the Atsuro you knew!" The words came out louder than Atsuro had intended. He bit his lip and winced, like he expected to be reprimanded. Abel didn't seem very surprised by Atsuro's words, though.
"...I see," Abel said. "I didn't think it was possible that my Lord would send me back in time, nor did I think it possible that I had met a doppelganger. But if that is the case, then where am I?"
You honestly do not realize your location? Amaterasu gave a low growl. Then perhaps you should stop harassing this child your alternate self has harassed for so long!
"...alternate self?"

Ryoji stepped down from the honden, but paused at Koromaru's reactions. He looked back at the building, wondering if leaving here was what they should be doing. However, Ryoji being who he was, there was no way he was simply going to voice his doubts on that issue. He turned back towards Minato as he called Koromaru, and headed after the other teenager and his dog.

Actually, Ishizu hadn't. She wasn't in the most stable of mental states lately, what with the chance of her brother being dead. She wasn't even aware of the event despite Kaiba's best efforts, but had seen the crowds and gotten the idea she should follow them. She hadn't seen any sign of Duel Monsters over her few days here, but she had known that if Yuugi or his friends were anywhere, they were likely to be here. She certainly hadn't expected to run into someone that could help her from a random act of kindness.
Teddie jerked in surprise as Issun leapt off him. While he insisted he wasn't a bug, he seemed to move like a grasshopper. Ishizu gave a neutral smile towards Issun as he began to lead into what was likely a very large mistake, but there were traces of annoyance in it. Teddie frowned and ran over, unceremoniously sweeping Issun into one of his palms.
"If she needs Yuugi-kun's help findnig her brother, she doesn't have to do anything!" Teddie scolded. He looked up at Issun, "They were at the how to play tables, we can take you there!"

Sayuri didn't look pleased, "I have no intentions of leaving you alone. Now come on, whatever it is doesn't seem to be causing problems. I want to make sure you're with your friends before I go to see what it is."
