Teddie just looked confused at Sugoroku's reaction, "Wait, I thought Yuugi-kun and Atem-kun had gotten their own bodies after coming to the Island...? How would he know that...?" Ishizu looked confused as well, "Pardon me, but may I ask how you came upon that conclusion so fast? Is it his similarity to your grandson?"
Atem raised an eyebrow at the pointed finger. It was completely beyond him how Sugoroku had figured it out. While the man was far more observant than Yuugi was known for giving him credit for, that seemed... rather the leap. Even for him. Jounouchi had relaxed upon Sugoroku's response, but then looked guilty. It was pretty blatent he felt bad about the whole situation. Yuugi, however, seemed to realize what was going on.
"You remember what he looked like when he saved you, didn't you Jiichan?"
Atem looked at Yuugi, "I... saved him?"
"You don't remember...?"
"Exactly! Although he was dressed a lot differently... probably what he wore in Ancient Egypt," Sugoroku broke out into a smile, "It's great to meet you, but Yuugi gave me the impression you were going to go away...?"
Atem's eyes widened and he looked towards Yuugi, "You... you knew that after all?"
----------
Honda got a rather... kind of mean grin, the kind that would be cruel if the group weren't well aquainted and friends. He walked over to Souji as he stuttered and slapped him on the back, letting out a laugh.
"Man, you're acting as bad as Yuugi used to whenever Jounouchi and I jabbed him about Anzu! You totally didn't do anything after all, eh? Dude, if she likes you you should just go for it!" Honda said.
Ryoji had gotten to chuckling as well, most of the worry having faded from his face from the whole conversation, "Have you even asked her about anything like that? Besides, its not like the Shrine is huge, not that hard to get outside the confines..."
----------
Faisal had braced himself as soon as he saw Abel's expression. The blue-haired demon's words only confirmed his suspicion. And then the aura exploded out, and he couldn't help but lift a hand. That... the only comparison he could think of having ever dealt with was YHVH's plagues when Moses had thrown a hissy fit about his people. And this was half.
The energy created a wind by the sheer force of it, but Izanami stood the firmest of all of them. Her expression had turned to a glare as the force blew with enough power to lift her braid up and blow it backwards, her outfit billowing behind her, but her stance was strong. The initial burst faded as Abel took his true form and threw a burst of energy at Sayuri.
Contrary to what may have seemed like the smart thing, she held her ground. She lifted up her arms, throwing both arms forward... and the energy hit and repelled around her, sinking into the ground. The entire holy aura of the shrine was practically swirling around her, and would be quite visible to any god beings in the vicinity. Souji's senses were probably flying off the damn charts, really. She had to brace though, there was clearly effort. She lowered her arms and looked down at Amaterasu.
"Go and find Issun and get him to help here! I need the energy of this shrine at full!"
----------
Haytham's eyes widened and he jerked to the side as if someone had popped him hard in the shoulder. Asim took a solid two steps back. He shook his head and looked at Asim.
"Obelisk, pull your Ka out. I know you recognize that kind of aura, and if He is making trouble here..."
Asim gave a nod.
----------
Pegasus gave a charming smile at Atsuro's apology and gave an extremely elaborate shrug. His hands came above his head as a result of it.
"No harm done, desu~" Pegasus stated, "I believe you should be returning to your tomo... that is, friends? Surely a fine young shounen as yourself didn't come to a festival by yourself?"
----------
Adil was watching a game of Duel Monsters, noting the errors one of the people he was watching made. While he didn't play, he knew the rules rather well. He'd just never gotten into it. However, all of a sudden he felt a huge shudder go down his spine as every hair on his body stood on end. It was like something had just tried to bowl him over. He gave a shudder and looked towards the woods surrounding the Shrine, raising an eyebrow. Was something going on...?
----------
Not visible to anyone due to his own powers, Shadi was still forced to take a full step backwards by the blast of energy, throwing up his arm as if to shield himself. As it receded back in, he noted the surge of energy swirling around the barrier that prevented his entrance to the Shrine. He frowned and his eyes narrowed. He needed to approach him, but...
"I can not help you, no matter how much I serve you..." he said to himself, his frown deep.

The godlike beings in the area weren't the only ones who sensed the sudden surge in energy. Issun had been around spiritual beings enough he could sense that kind of energy, and the gathering of energy near the woods had suddenly just gotten a whole new kind of intense. Issun hadn't sensed power this strong since before the Ark of Yamato had risen from the lake. He dropped the piece of takoyaki he'd slowly been eating at and jumped from the box, not even stopping to explain himself to the others before he ran off.
Whatever was going on in that direction... Ammy was in trouble.
------------------
Souji stopped babbling after Honda hit him on the back. He gave a nervous laugh, but his face remained rather red as Honda and Ryoji spoke up.
"U-Uh... well, not really. I-I mean, we haven't really gotten a real chance to talk to each other, what with everything that's happened... We really only started... dating I guess, after I fixed everything with Izanagi..." He looked away nervously. "I-I mean, I guess we've known each other for years but... it's still kind of hard to ask her about that kind of thing..." And then, much more quietly, he added, "...and I've never been the one to ask them to do... it... first..."
It looked like Minato was having a hard time trying not to crack up laughing at Souji. "Wait, so it's always been the girls who ask you, not the other way around?"
"Sh-Shut up!" Souji yelled. "I-It's not that big of a--"
Souji stopped in the middle of his sentence as he felt a huge wave of something wash over his body. Some kind of strong force that he hadn't been able to feel before had flared up, and it was coming from the direction Sayuri had gone. He wheeled around toward the direction the flare had come from. He could just barely see some kind of energy swirling in that direction.
"...Souji?"
Souji turned back toward Minato. It didn't look like Minato, Ryoji, or Honda could sense it, but Koromaru definitely could. The dog was growling at the same direction the energy was in. "That's the direction Sayuri-chan went. She went to deal with something powerful that had entered the shrine. I think she's in trouble."
------------------
Atsuro looked away at Pegasus' words. He'd been able to make out what the man had been saying that time, and it wasn't exactly something he wanted to talk about.
"I'm sure they're busy doing other things..."
----------------
Abel gave a smirk as Izanami blocked his attack. It had taken all of the energy this shrine was lending her to block his attack, and even then she'd struggled. This would take no effort at all. At Izanami's yell, Amaterasu ran off again. Abel supposed he'd have to hunt her down later.
"It seems there is quite the collection of gods visiting this shrine today... I'll have to destroy you all in the name of my Lord, in that case," Abel said. He turned toward Sayuri, and in a monotone, began to list them off. "Two more heathen gods' avatars, one unawakened god, a false god, and..."
He paused, and his eyes suddenly widened.
"Another Bel...?"
The words were said in stereo with another voice, one that was the same as Abel's. Just previous to when Abel had said that, Sayuri would have sensed another powerful being, of equal power to Abel, enter the shrine. Standing face to face with Abel was his mirror image.
"...Who the hell are you," snarled the black caped demon.

"I... was hoping to avoid it, but you were always so dedicated to your duty... Asking you to stay would have only made it harder on everyone. And I wasn't sure, but I told Jiichan i was worried," Yuugi looked over at Jounouchi and smiled, causing a puzzled return smile from the tall blond. Yuugi looked back at Atem, "You helped me make the best friends I've ever had! And you, you're-"
"Something seems to be the matter," Ishizu said, her voice calmer than her worried expression. She took a step towards where Issun had run off and looked back towards Atem and Yuugi, "He ran off without a word..."
"Uh, is this something like that Douma craziness you guys dealt with...?" Sugoroku asked.
Atem's eyes widened and his hands shot to his deck pouch, "The gods' ka..."
----------
Honda was having way to much fun. This wasn't like Yuugi, who would talk about that stuff around him and Jounouchi with the proper motivation. After Jounouchi's spectacularly bad handling of the situation, he'd never say it, but he'd been rather shocked at the whole "guy has a boyfriend" thing as well. In any case, Honda only saw Yuugi get like this around Anzu, and this was before they'd ever gotten the chance to date.
Ryoji had looked with pure disbelief as Minato asked his question... and Souji indirectly confirmed it. He clamped a hand over his mouth. How... how chaste did you have to be to not ask a girl out?! The worst she could do was say no (or kick you.... but that was rare) and he couldn't see that happening with Izanami with how things had ended up playing out. His laughter was cut off as Souji whirled around and Koromaru tensed up and began to growl.
"Something powerful..." Ryoji's eyes widened, "Didn't Atsuro go off by himself?!"
----------
Pegasus didn't seem to care much about Atsuro's depressed reaction. He looked at him for a moment before giving a much milder shrug than before. His eye widened as if he'd come upon something and he flashed a friendly smile. To someone like Atsuro, he would probably sense the... falseness of it.
"Is it not customary in Japan to introduce yourself upon first meeting? Oh, I suppose watashi should go first, although it seems kimi may have recognized me... I am Pegasus J. Crawford," Pegasus gave a slight nod of his head. It was nowhere near a bow.
----------
She'd have to stall. Sayuri gave a grim frown that screamed determination. It would take a few minute, even with a miracle. She planted her feet again and focused on drawing the energy towards herself. She'd have to stall with a shi- she jerked her head towards Faisal just as Abel was distracted by the black caped demon. Faisal's own aura had exploded out, and thunder crashed in several places outside of the shrine. His voice had that distortion known among demons and gods as he spoke.
"I need your permission to bring the god of my soul into this barrier, goddess..."
To accompany his question was what felt like an earthquake, causing Izanami to turn. There were two things out there now, she could feel the muted power leaking in through the barrier.
---------
Why the hell does he have to be so fast!!
What was nothing short of a giant crow was flying over Void City at speeds far to fast for any mundane bird. Although the third leg from the oversized thing pretty much killed any chance of it being a mundane bird. A blue haired teenager with eyes far more mature than his apparent years was on top of it, and the demon known as Yatagarasu was flying with the aid of Devil Speed.
Abel had dashed out of the hotel like something had lit his ass on fire. No explanation, but what he'd seen in his eyes for a fleeting second was that of the King of Bel... not just a demon, and sure as hell no human. Something big was going down, and he needed to at least be there when it happened. It was only minutes after he had taken off that he saw the shrine come into view, although he couldn't see the combatants... Yatagarasu did have to dodge a blast of lightning, and he could have sworn he saw a red snake in the sky that dwarfed the Shinto bird.
"What the hell is going on?! Yatagarasu, hurry up and watch out for the lightning!!"

Minato's eyes widened with realization at Ryoji's words. "If that's the case, then that means Abel might be here to kill him!"
"Or Atsuro was a double agent all along." Souji scowled. There really were only two ways that could go. One would end with Atsuro dead. The other would likely end with one of them dead. The two choices weren't really mutually exclusive either, and if Abel really had invaded the shrine to kill Atsuro, it was possible he wouldn't stop with him.
He broke off running without another word, but he didn't make it far before exhaustion overcame him. He ended up leaning up against a tree, and gave a few hoarse breaths. What was wrong with him? He was too tired to go very far at all... He had to help Sayuri, but he couldn't move... he didn't even have the energy to pick his feet up again.
Minato walked up to Souji with a rather concerned look on his face. It was rather clear that Souji was a wreck. "Souji, you're in no state to go running off to fight him if that's the case."
"I can't just stand here..." Souji mumbled. He pushed himself up to his feet again, but Minato grabbed his arm to keep him from running off.
"Izanami told us to watch you, and I intend on doing that," Minato stated flatly. "I'm not going to let you get yourself killed."
-------------------------
Atsuro didn't seem very surprised by the false smile, though he was a little annoyed. Yeah, he should have expected that.
"Oh... uh, sorry... I'm Kihara Atsuro," Atsuro said. He gave as much of a bow as Pegasus did. "Um... look, I'm sure this is really interesting, but I can't stay here much longer. There's a guy here trying to kill me and I don't think he'll stop with just me if you're around when he gets here."
A flash of lightning made him look up. "...when did a storm roll in? I thought it was supposed to be clear all day today..."
---------------------
"Ammy!"
Amaterasu spotted Issun's running form rather easily. Just as the two of them passed each other, she grabbed him in her mouth and threw him up onto her back before wheeling back around again.
We have to hurry back to Izanami-obaasan! I don't think she can hold him off much longer!
"I'm ready to fight this guy, whoever he is!"
You and everyone else, Issun...
---------------------
The black caped Abel flicked his eyes toward the silver-haired miko and the Egyptian. The miko was the spitting image of Souji... so she must be Izanami. The Egyptian Abel had never met, but his presence seemed familiar, and most importantly, he was trying to summon himself into the shrine to obliterate this doppelganger. He looked back toward his white caped doppelganger, not saying a word.
"...So Atsuro was telling the truth, then," the white caped Abel stated.
"Atsuro. He's here," Abel growled. "You still have not explained yourself.
The white caped Abel gave a snarl as well. He did not want to have to deal with this doppelganger from another world, if this was the truth. "I am Abel, the Messiah of the New Heavenly Kingdom. And yourself?"
Messiah, did I not instruct thou to not cause any disturbances in this world? If thou wishest to destroy these spirits, thou must do so now!
Abel inwardly berated himself. That had been his instructions, hadn't they? No wonder his Lord had denied him his power until now. Instead of striking, he said, "And yourself?"
The black caped Abel scowled. "Abel, King of Bel." He looked toward Faisal. "Feel free to wipe this dog off the face of the earth any time, Egyptian." In truth, Abel was a little freaked. But he did not allow that to show. That would be a show of weakness he could not afford.

Ryoji exchanged a glance with Minato, and the brown haired teenager could tell that Minato had intended on chasing after... until Souji came to a stop and all but collapsed against a tree. Minato had trotted over to him, slowing down once it was evident Souji wasn't going anywhere. Ryoji ran after, presumably with Koromaru on his heels.
"It's probably better none of us go..." Ryoji said, a nervous expression on his face, "If it's Abel, I don't think we'll do well against him."
That wasn't entirely the truth. Minato probably should go given his Persona, but... Ryoji wasn't about to suggest that. He really didn't want Minato getting hurt.
"We shouldn't just stand here! Maybe you guys promised to watch Souji, but I sure as hell didn't!" Honda shouted, "This has to do with that Abel guy, right?"
----------
Pegasus seemed a fair bit more interested in the conversation when Atsuro mentioned someone was trying to kill him. The boy seemed awfully... calm for that. A matter of being used to it? Whatever he had been planning as a response was lost as he jumped from the flash of lightning... and the color drained from his face. His eyes were wide as he jerked his head towards the storm in the sky and he looked as if he'd seen a ghost. He took a quick two steps backwards, and seemed to have forgotten about Atsuro's presence.
* "Phantom Gods..." *
----------
Sugoroku blinked, "God's... Ka? Hey, are those those monsters from Ancient Egypt? Arthur found something about that in his research!"
Yuugi looked at Sugoroku and nodded, "That's exactly it! Atem, we have to go see what's going on! With the way Issun-san reacted, something really big is happening!"
"Did you say... Ka?" Ishizu blinked. That... wasn't a term she'd have expected more than the Pharaoh to know.
"We need to go help!" Teddie insisted, "Sensei could be in trouble if it has to do with the gods!"
----------
Faisal hesitated a bit at the encouragement from (the other?) Abel to destroy the first. As far as he could tell, they were the same damn Hebrew demon, but... they seemed to be aligned seperately. And if the white caped one hated the black caped one, there was evidence that the latter was more on their side than the former's. The enemy of mine enemy and all that. He looked back towards Izanami when the barrier around the area flickered. She'd let the two Egyptian gods in. She hated to admit it, but help was needed.
----------
Kaiba was outside of the Shrine, looking down at his watch. Mokuba was in among the crowd already, but if he was following Kaiba's instructions was keeping a low profile. He had just hung up a cell phone to make sure the preparations were ready when a bolt of lightning hit on the other side of the shrine, quickly followed by an earthquake. It was the earthquake that truly got his attention, and he jerked his head towards the other side of the shrine. He thought he saw something...
"Obelisk?! What the hell are you doing, Atem...?" Kaiba said, glaring, "Don't go throwing around that power you got from me!"
----------
The shrine was not designed to keep out those of the Shinto pantheon unless they were specifically being guarded against. While the barrier might have kept Yatagarasu out under other circumstances due to its lower power level compared to some of the other arrivals, it was a Shinto being. Therefore, Seth was able to pass through in no problem.
"Prince, the King is... Uh..." Yatagarasu had banked to the side and pointed with its wing and then gotten confused.
Seth frowned at the way it trailed off and looked down... and his own eyes widened, "Bring me down there! On Abel-ousama's side!"
The demon wasn't sure if that was the greatest idea, but it really didn't feel like arguing. Not with... two Bels down there. A few moments later, Seth was coming out of the trees behind Abel, his COMP ready, but he made no actions. He looked at God's Messiah and was nothing short of freaked out. But he concealed it almost as well as his King.
"Your majesty, what's...?" he asked. The mindscrew had pretty much made him forget about the fact that Abel might not be happy with his presence.

Minato looked back toward Honda. "Honda, if it is Abel, you're just going to get yourself killed! You don't even have a Persona!"
Before Honda could have a chance to object to that, Souji pushed himself up off of the tree. He took a few slow steps forward before having to stop again. He was breathing heavily.
"Souji, are you stupid!? What are you doing?!"
"Shut up! I don't need to be watched over like a child, dammit!" Souji yelled back. "I don't give a damn what Sayuri-chan said, I'm going!"
----------------------
Atsuro looked back toward Pegasus as the man spoke in English again, and he looked confused. The man was staring up at the sky, and it didn't look like he even remembered Atsuro was there.
"Um... are you okay?"
---------------------
Amaterasu made it back to the group just as Sayuri allowed the two gods entry into the shrine. However, she didn't allow Issun to attack yet for one reason: there was one more Abel than there had been when she'd left.
Abel looked back at Seth, and his glare was harsh as he looked back toward the human. "I do not recall giving you orders to follow me, Seth."
As for the white-caped Abel, now he was freaked out. He'd known about the other Abel, but Atsuro had neglected to inform him of a third, human Abel. And then the black caped one had called him "Seth". A name Abel was not familiar with. Perhaps the boy was the demon's child, something Abel would never be able to experience due to vows he'd taken.
The white-caped Abel looked around at the growing group, and the growing power of the shrine. He knew even with his power, he was overpowered. He couldn't conceivably fight all of them without some human noticing.

Honda glared at Minato, partially because the guy probably had a point. He was about to argue and maybe even go off despite the stupidity of it when... Souji beat him to it. He whirled around in surprise as the silver haired teenager tried to run off. Maybe he didn't have a Persona, but at least he wasn't all but unconscious on his feet. Ryoji had taken a step back and looked overall overwhelmed with the situation. He didn't do well with "hopeless" confrontations, after all.
"S-Souji, you shouldn't-"
"Sit down!" Honda shouted, grabbing Souji around the neck in a chokehold, "I don't care if you're some kind of god, you're gonna pass out in the middle of the fight!"
----------
Yuugi nodded at Teddie. He wasn't sure what they could do, but.... "Ishizu-san, can you keep an eye on Jiichan for me?"
Ishizu blinked and gave a nod, "Of course. I can't claim to know the full extent of the situation, but..."
"Hey, I'm more capable than you-"
"Ojiisan, just calm down," Anzu said, putting a firm hand on his shoulder, "Yuugi can handle it okay? You'll just throw your back out again."
"Jounouchi-kun, Teddie-kun, Atem, let's go!" Yuugi said.
----------
Kaiba tapped his fingers on the side of a tree for a moment before running towards the Shrine. The last thing he was going to do was let that fool get himself killed before he beat him. There was more to this than the Duel Disks, and while Kaiba would have argued the reality of the situation if pressed about it, right now he was more concerned with preventing Atem from getting himself killed.
----------
Pegasus jumped as Atsuro addressed him and looked towards Atsuro. His exposed eye showed that he was terrified.
"We need to get out of here," he said, managing Japanese again and with a lot less... flare, than before. He said it, but... he didn't appear to be moving. He gave a nervous look at another flash of thunder. They'd come back for him. He didn't know how he'd angered him this time, but...
----------
Seth didn't wince at Abel's criticism, only averted his gaze, his expression unreadable. He felt the panic he'd reacted with at whoever the hell Abel's clone was had caused him to act uncharacteristically. There was nothing he could say that would not get him into further trouble, but he could not remain quiet either. So he kept his response simple.
"Forgive me, Your Majesty."
Izanami looked to the side as Amaterasu came back, and frowned. She'd assumed the goddess had understood what needed to be done, but given that there was no flow increase in the energy of the shrine, apparently not. Prayers would have been extremely useful at the moment. Faisal, on the other hand, lifted a hand just as his Ka broke the barrier of the Shrine. Obelisk, remained out of site, but its presence could be felt.
~ "I don't wish to fight on this sacred ground if you'll just leave," ~ Faisal growled.
----------
The crowds had by this point well noticed the situation but... no one was panicking. Given how Kaiba had taken over the event, everyone was still assuming it was part of the show. There were actually a lot of impressed sounds from the crowd, and conversations about how amazing the special effects were.

Souji had just started attempting to run again when Honda caught him in a chokehold. He struggled and attempted to pull himself out the chokehold, but to no avail. He was just too tired to make any kind of a real fight.
"Let go of me!" Souji yelled, his voice already sounding rather dangerous. And then, his eyes flashed yellow, and he showed enough strength to pull Honda's arm away and slip away from him. He was still breathing rather heavily.
"Souji, calm down," Minato's voice was filled with caution as he stepped forward. Koromaru gave a light growl, and Souji blinked. He put a hand over his face and finally fell back against a tree, sliding down into a sitting position.
"...I'm sorry, just... give me a moment," Souji said.
---------------------
Atsuro blinked at the expression on Pegasus' face. The man was terrified, and Atsuro had no clue why.
"For once, I'll agree. Let's get the hell out of here, Pegasus-san," Atsuro said.
------------------
The white caped Abel looked around at the gathered group, and weighed his options. Run away like a coward, or fight and alert everyone, including Cain, to his position. Finally, he relented.
"I will leave, but only because I have a different mission to accomplish," Abel snarled. He looked toward the black caped Abel. "I know not why you chose your decision or how you came to be, but your existence goes against all I stand for."
"Please run back to your master already, doggy," The black caped Abel waved his hand in a motion one would use to dismiss a subject. The white caped one very calmly began walking away from the group, keeping his eyes on the black caped one before breaking off in a run. The only reason anyone in their group could see it was because they were all divine in some nature, save for Seth.
"Well, this is problematic," Abel said.
Leave, King of Bel, Amaterasu growled. You have accomplished your purpose here, and you are still invading this shrine.
Abel only gave Amaterasu a flat stare in response.

Honda was quite startled by the sudden spike in Souji's strength. Sure, he hadn't been using as much force as he could, he hadn't been light. He'd known the other teenager might struggle (Jounouchi had taught him stubborn people always did). He was shaking his arm due to the rather large amount of force the supposedly exhausted Souji had used when he noticed his eye color.
"Uh... man, what's up with your eyes?!" Honda took a startled step backwards.
Ryoji had been watching the entire scene with a nervous expression, and had been almost as startled as Honda as Souji jerked away. Why was he fighting so hard, he could barely walk! When Honda freaked out about his eyes, Ryoji's own widened and he jerked his head up, noting what Honda and Minato already had.
"Souji, calm down! You're going to disappear at this rate!!"
----------
Pegasus seemed startled at the teenager's approval, and gave a nod. He seemed about half his actual age by the expression in his eye. He stumbled backwards, pretty much losing every bit of flair he'd ever had, and was off running. He didn't look back to see if Atsuro was following, and quite frankly, he didn't care. It occurred to him, however, that running was probably useless. If the gods wanted him dead...
----------
Seth kept his gaze averted from Abel, but angled his head in a way that still allowed him to see the white caped doppelganger. The COMP was reading out with no data, everything was a question. The name bothered him though. Abel. Abel. What... was going on? Given the Island, he could come up with a few theories, but he couldn't think of why.
As soon as the white cloaked Abel had left, Faisal dismissed Osiris. A final clap of thunder and the skies were clear. However, he was still looking at Abel with caution. It didn't seem to him the man would attack, and given the first Abel's words... well, he couldn't tag him as an enemy just yet. Just a dangerous entity.
Sayuri, on the other hand, lowered the tension as well, and the shrine fell back to somewhat normal energy levels. She looked where the white cloaked Abel had gone for a moment before stepping towards the remaining one and... his twin?
"I won't turn you away if you wish to attend the Festival, but know that I won't let you disturb the peace of this land," Sayuri warned. She looked at Seth, "That goes for both of you."
----------
Asim dispelled Obelisk at the same instant that Faisal had dispelled Osiris. He looked at Haytham, who was crossing his arms and frowning. Something had chased the presence off. He shook his head at Asim and walked forward. No words were needed for Asim to follow. A few moments later, they were coming out of the trees in the area where most of the power at the Shrine had gathered. Haytham stopped and looked at Abel, while Asim took a position in front of him.
~ "You're not quite what caused the trouble..." ~ Haytham stated in Divine.
Faisal's eyes widened, * "Ra?! Obelisk?! *
----------
"Where the hell do you think you're going?!"
Yuugi's group came to a stop at the yell, all rather surprised. Atem glared when he saw who it was. Kaiba, who had more likely been hiding for some kind of entry.
"I don't have the time right now, Kaiba."
"And I'm not going to let you get yourself killed," Kaiba growled.
"Kaiba-kun, we really don't have the time! I know you don't believe in any of this stuff, but-" Yuugi was trying to make a point when Osiris and Obelisk vanished. He blinked and looked to the side, "What...?"

Souji didn't seem to hear Honda. In fact, he looked like he had a rather extreme headache, and it was clear that he was once again fighting to stay conscious. At Ryoji's yell, he removed his hand from his face and wheeled toward him. The expression on Souji's face was a little bit scary.
"Would you all just do me a favor and shut the hell up?!"
Minato had taken a step back as Souji's voice began to distort. He'd heard enough Shadows do the same thing with their voice, but he'd never thought he'd hear it coming from Souji. The moment Souji's voice started distorting, Koromaru's senses shot off the charts. He started barking rather frantically at the silver-haired teenager.
Thing was, Ryoji was right. Souji's outburst was causing him to use more energy than he should have been... The energy draining from his body would now be very apparent to any god beings that came near at that time.
--------------------
Atsuro had run after Pegasus without much hesitation. He was not one to argue when there were giant gods in the sky, and there were giant gods in the sky.
And then, just as quickly as they had appeared, they'd disappeared. Atsuro stopped in his tracks, confused, and then turned back toward Pegasus.
"W-Wait, Pegasus-san, I think they're gone!" Atsuro called. But why had they appeared in the first place...?
------------------
Abel had full intentions to answer Sayuri then and there, but Haytham and Asim had stepped through the trees right after she made her statement. He gave a "tch" as the man spoke in Divine to him. Abel was familiar with the language, but he couldn't naturally speak it like he could Infernal. It was another one of those things Kikuri-Hime had actually been working on with him prior to her untimely death.
~ "No, the one who caused the trouble just ran away back to his master," ~ Abel said. He turned back toward Sayuri. "I think I'll stay here for a bit longer, and rest assured, I will not do anything to disrupt it like my silly little doppelganger did."
Amaterasu still continued to give a low growl toward Abel. This was Izanami's shrine; her authority trumped Amaterasu's own in this case. It still did not change that Amaterasu highly disliked this man.

Ryoji took a sudden step back, and Honda had a nervous frown on his face, both due to Souji's outburst. Honda looked over towards Koromaru, and took a step to the side to put his hand on the dog's head. It was meant to calm him down, but Honda's own internal freakout probably only made matters worse.
Ryoji opened his mouth to speak again, but closed it. He gave a nervous look to Minato, and his eyes said volumes. If Souji was going to die... things were looking very bad. His arms twitched a bit, as if he was considering doing something with them but his thoughts were getting the better of him. What could they do? Just watch Souji die?
----------
Pegasus came to a running stop as Atsuro shouted out towards him, and he gave a quick look to the... clear sky. He blinked and looked back towards Atsuro, still seeming a little frightened. He then brushed the front of his shirt, looking away from the teenager. Atsuro might catch a gaze that indicated a thought process in Pegasus' eye if he tried. Pegasus then looked up, as composed as before.
"Well, I will have to talk to Kaiba-boy about this..." he said to himself, just loud enough for Atsuro to hear. His false smile widened as he gave an elaborate shrug, "It would appear the entertainment fell through. I trust kimi knew it was all a show? Kami do not simply appear out of thin air."
----------
Sayuri wasn't amused by the taunt, but she gave a nod. Seth had given a nod of his head in response to her threat before Asim and Haytham had shown up. Haytham frowned at Abel, but chose to turn towards Faisal. Asim, however, kept his eye on the man, keeping himself between the other two gods.
*~ "I suspected the events would draw you out. What's your name?" ~*
*~ "Faisal Hakim," Faisal stated, * "Are you in this world for the same reason?" ~*
"Make sure you stick to your word," Sayuri warned. She looked in the direction she had come from, "I have to get back to other things. Excuse me."
Seth turned his head towards Abel, his gaze still averted, "Your Majesty, what do you wish me to do?"
----------
"That's not normal, is it?" Jounouchi asked. He looked towards a confused Yuugi and then towards Kaiba, promptly lifting his finger and pointing it, "And don't you go telling us what to do!"
Kaiba scoffed, "If you wish to get yourself killed, I could care less. Losing dogs aren't worth my time. I was speaking to Atem, not you."
"Jounouchi-kun, calm down," Atem said. Jounouchi had been about to explode, but he gave a grumpy look and settled on glaring at Kaiba. Atem looked back at Kaiba, "There are things more important than your pride, Kaiba. I'm not the one you're Dueling today, anyways."
Kaiba looked at Yuugi, "The frightened puppy decided to bark finally?"
Atem glared, but it was Yuugi who spoke up first, "I don't care what you think about me, Kaiba-kun! But Jounouchi-kun and Atem are right, there's something more important going on!"

The silence from the other three seemed to calm Souji down a fair bit, and he slumped against the tree again. It was at this point he noticed that the power surge he'd felt before wasn't there anymore... whatever it was and whatever had happened... it was gone now. His eyelids drooped down. He was spent... that outburst had been a mistake.
Koromaru only stopped growling at Souji after he fell asleep against the tree. Honda's attempt to calm him down hadn't worked very well, mainly because Honda hadn't been very calm himself. Minato curled his hands into fists and looked toward Ryoji.
"What are we supposed to do now?" Minato asked. "We can't just keep sitting here and... watch him die like this."
Which probably just opened up a whole new can of worms for Honda, considering he didn't actually know about that part of things..
------------------
Atsuro groaned at Pegasus' sudden shift. It wasn't fooling him in the least, especially considering how Pegasus had been afraid for his life for a second there.
"....Forget it," Atsuro said, putting a hand on his head. "I think that little light show means that guy's gone too..." Atsuro doubted those gods would have just disappeared unless Abel was gone... or dead. Or Abel had just killed the gods, but Atsuro suspected he would have known if that was the case.
------------------
Abel ignored the gods as they continued to converse in Divine. He nodded toward Sayuri, though he wasn't too afraid of any divine retribution from her. It would be difficult to deal with her should he have to, though. He turned toward Seth as the man spoke up. He shrugged.
"Since you're here, you might as well do whatever you wish," Abel said. "Within reasonable bounds, of course."
Abel had come to the shrine only chasing that energy signature, but he didn't intend on pursuing his doppelganger quite yet. No, he had something else he wanted to do. After all, he knew Yuugi was at this festival. He would have had to been blind to miss the posters everywhere.
Meanwhile, Amaterasu was deciding to make her way away from the group. With Abel here, she'd have to protect Atsuro even more than she had been.

Honda gave a tired look towards Souji. The man was so exhausted he was falling asleep standing up and he'd intended on running off to fight? He didn't know much about the whole gods in human form thing, it kind of flew over his head, but exhausted was exhausted. Although that outburst earlier... He was walking forwards to shake Souji awake, get the guy someplace more practical to nod off, when Minato asked Ryoji his question. Honda stopped.
"Uh... what? There something I should know about here...?"
Ryoji winced, "It's.. complicated. We're not even sure... but..."
----------
Pegasus gave a puzzled look at Atsuro's groan. What kind of teenager wouldn't happily take the "it was all a show" explanation? Well... he could possibly think of one or two, so it wasn't out of the question Atsuro was involved in some less than normal stuff. He didn't know who "that guy" was either. He smiled again.
"Well, if kimi will excuse me," Pegasus stated, "I have things that need doing."
----------
Seth nodded at Abel's instruction, and took a few steps backwards before actually turning around. He considered heading after Amaterasu for a moment, but decided that would fall outside of Abel's definition of within reasonable bounds, and shifted direction to walk towards the main shrine. While not aquainted with Shinto tradition, he knew enough to know a Shrine was a holy place. Whether it was Izanami's or not, a prayer didn't seem out of the question... at least he could. He didn't think he'd step inside a Judeo-Christian church ever again for fear of being smited where he stood.
*~ "More than likely," ~* Haytham stated. He gestured to the trees, ~* "I suggest we take this conversation somewhere more private. While I doubt the demon can speak Ancient Egyptian, it doesn't change the matter of attempting to eavesdrop." ~*
Faisal nodded, *~ "The other one claimed to hold dominion over demons. If this one has similar powers, nothing would stop him from summoning one that could understand us." ~*
----------
"Unless you intend to claim that you set up a sideshow?" Atem said to Kaiba, his voice low.
"You honestly think I'd do that without Obelisk under my control?" Kaiba growled.
"A-anyways! Kaiba-kun, we've gotta go! Atem, I know the gods went away, but I'm still worried about what would have caused that. Issun ran off, so its gotta be big!"
Atem looked at Yuugi. Which one of them didn't panic under stress again, "Right. Kaiba, I don't care what you do, but if you don't want your beliefs threatened, its better if you stay here."
Atem and Yuugi ran off before Kaiba had a real chance to object. Jounouchi gave a final glare at Kaiba before heading after them. Kaiba had a rather nasty scowl on his face, but he didn't follow. Unlike Atem and his friends, he didn't go seeking stupid shit like that. He began to make his way back to where he'd been before the gods had appeared.

Minato looked away from Honda as Ryoji trailed off. The cat was halfway out of the bag now; he might as well tell Honda anyways. He looked up and back toward the brown haired teenager.
"We think that Souji is dying," Minato said. "He's been acting extremely similar to how I acted back in my home world after I sealed Nyx... after I died."
Of course, Minato was operating on the assumption that Yuugi had informed Honda all about his past. If he hadn't... well, things just got more awkward.
------------------
Atsuro frowned. He had a feeling he knew why Pegasus was here, and considering the content of this festival, it wasn't just to watch a duel. His mind went back to the conversation they'd had over lunch a week ago about copyright on the island. Kaiba had seized copyright over the cards. If that was the case, then was Pegasus here to take it back?
"Oh, uh... sure. Go ahead," Atsuro said. Before Pegasus could leave, a white wolf bounded through the trees and next to Atsuro, pressing up against the teenager. He blinked.
"...Ammy?" Atsuro asked. "Why are you back here again?"
Amaterasu tilted her head uncomprehendingly and Atsuro sighed. She was going to keep pretending like that, wasn't she...
-------------------
Abel waited until Seth began walking before making his own way toward the main festival area. It didn't take him long to find Yuugi, even with the strong spiritual presence of this shrine clouding his senses. He was running toward the wooded area those gods had been gathered in together with Atem. Abel waited until they were beginning to approach the area to step in front of them and cut them off.
"It's been a while, Yuugi."

Honda... just sort of blinked. Um, so... something like Atem then? Did death not even matter or something? He wasn't about to test that out, but it sure seemed a lot of people... didn't stay dead. A condition that was rather permanent last he'd checked. Of course, that was neither here nor there. He looked between Minato and Ryoji for a few moments before crossing his arms.
"Is there anything we can do to stop it then...?" Honda asked, choosing to focus on the... important rather than the lolwhat, "Or reverse it or something?"
----------
Pegasus gave a congenial smile and nod. He was about to leave when Amaterasu bounded into the area. He stopped mid turn and looked at the wolf... with the flaming disc on her back. He gave a sort of analytical look for a moment before choosing to turn around and continue. Shinto beast, huh? He supposed this theory about the boy wasn't off the mark, but it really wasn't his issue. There was no relation to Cyndia in any of it, and...
Well, wasn't it possible the boy had angered the gods, not him? Pegasus had things to do in his life still, there was no need to risk it in the company of the teenager. He turned and began to leave.
----------
With Kaiba handled (Yuugi worried they had been too rude, but they really hadn't had time to be delayed), the group had returned to trying to get to where the others were. There really wasn't the greatest idea of where they were. They'd gone in the direction Issun had run and were more or less following a straight line. While the Shrine wasn't gigantic, it wasn't small either, but by chance they happened to be on the right route.
Yuugi and Atem were running side by side, a fact only Atem was consciously aware of. In any case, Abel's angle meant he stepped directly in front of Yuugi. The short teenager almost fell down coming to a stop, but he managed to avoid running into the blue haired teenager. Atem had come to a better stop and had been clearly prepared to pull Yuugi back. Jounouchi, being in the back of the group (Yuugi sure ran fast for his height, he noted), had come to a much calmer stop.
"K-K1-kun!" Yuugi gave a shout of surprise. He hesitated, his eyes flicking behind Abel before coming back to him, "Are you okay? Issun ran off and Osiris and Obelisk were in the sky!"
----------
Seth was grateful he hadn't had time to pull on his cloak or "crown" back at the hotel. It meant he blended in well here. He did find himself pulling up at his shirt collar when he wasn't keeping his hands in his pockets though. He didn't feel like being stared at for his scars, and those were the two places people might notice them. In truth, it was... almost nice to be out of the hotel. Among people. Sure, they'd never understand his plight, but... he'd never want them to.
"All for them..." he said under his breath in a bitter mutter.
Seth saw the haiden as two girls in kimono stepped away from it. He took in a deep breath and walked over to it, digging into his pocket. He didn't carry around a lot of real money these days, and he looked at the blood stained yen coins in his hand with a sad thought. He'd had this since... since before he'd come to the Island the first time. Money had become more or less obselete in his world, with the real currency being essentials for life (among humans) and remaining Magatsuhi as always everyplace else.
"Izanami, huh...?" he said to himself. He looked up, "Sorry about the condition."
He dropped two hundred yen coins in the offering box and bowed his head. He didn't really know a lot of Shinto traditions, but he knew to offer money and show respect at least. He wasn't really asking for anything here, there was nothing she could give him, but the show of respect did seem to calm him down a bit more. He'd chosen this road and he'd walk down it with his head as high as Abel would allow.
After a moment of silence (he didn't notice a few people look at him with concern) he turned around and headed towards a more secluded area of the Shrine. He'd still be able to see people, and they wouldn't see him. He intended on sitting down and taking the time to relax he had. At least he didn't have to stare at a computer screen for a few hours.
