"Er... reaching for my drill? To... drill things? What you asked me?" Rax'aar responded awkwardly.
Then again, it WAS his fault for keeping something that DRILLS THINGS attached to his body. Granted, the one time it actually went off while connected to him, well...
...much time was spent at the hospital. Not as much time as would be spent when he got his ears repaired, however. -- "Bah. Imitating my TEACHERS now, are we? Shaking things up a bit? I guess you get points for being clever..." Yuusuke noted.
Now, had he been from a bit farther in the future, he'd have made a joke about how Suzu had made a similar mistake to Hiei. When he had his soul stolen and went all Silent Man of Silentness.
But that was neither here nor there. Instead, he decided to just be a jerkass... again.
"...isn't this the part where you go to sleep?" Yuusuke asked, hand on his chin.
Yes. Dark Tournament jokes for the win.

(OOC: Yush. XDD Glad you caught the joke even in Yuusuke can't. XD)
Suzu was scowling as Yuusuke made jokes at his expense. He didn't even know what the teen was talking about but he knew it wasn't polite. Although its not like polite was a thing Yuusuke did all that well...
Ivy picked up the tree trunk and dragged it across the ground. She managed to complete the circle Ginger and Suzu had been working on just as the flame reached the edge. A small area of the circle was made of a groove dragged by a tree, a larger part by connected craters with blacked edges, and the largest part made from the furious digging of Ginger.
Ginger panted a bit as she backed area from the area. She had basically used all her energy there... she actually jumped into the fire before quickly jumping back out. It was a small boost, but it was enough to not feel like she was going to collapse.
Suzu let the lightning fade and his sword drop, catching it on the way down. He wiped a bit of sweat off his forehead. The day had been rather draining, actually. And now Ginger was storming towards him with indignation in her eyes... -----
Rah-boy had lifted the drill a bit by the time he finished, so Aby couldn't make any further "wtf?" reactions to it. She shifted Bobby and facepalmed, "Do you have no understanding of human innduendo?"
Aby grabbed Bobby's pokeball and withdrew the Pokemon. He was too tired to do much right now. She looked do the side and scowled.
"Tunnel around me," she said, not going into the rather obbvious to humans but maybe not to aliens reasons why she wasn't going to let him squeeze past.

[Before anyone says ANYTHING, I had permission to join this thread. You can ask Mugenginga, she's the one that gave it to me.]
Amidst all of the 'break the fourth wall' jokes, the flames spiraling out of control, and general mass histeria in the hotel itself, fire-trucks (Obviously after being contacted by some of the denizens of the hotel) were located outside watching the spectacle as the flames spread. For what reason?
Possibly because not ONE of them wanted to get too close to the weirdness happening between Suzu, Yuusuke, and the others. Beneficial to one's health when angered, these guys obviously were NOT. In all honesty, the fire department were rescuers, not trained warriors, and as far as super fighters went, (Such as the company around the fire), they didn't stand two @#$# of a chance, against any one of them.
But of course, that's what they had heroes for.
As the fires continued to rage, a giant figure suddenly appeared, his shadow cast. Trust me, if this guy's shadow looked any bigger (And if his shadow was any indication of his size) he could have his own zip-code.
"FOOLISH HUMANS!... And... Whatever the hell the rest of you are... How DARE YOU PICK A FIGHT ON THIS TERRAIN?!?" If the gang was shrinking in fear at this point, it started right here... though it was doubtful any were...
But still... HOLY CRAP!!! THIS GUY'S SHADOW HAD FRIGGEN HORNS!!!!!
Stomps continued as the figure continued his approach. "BEFORE THIS NIGHT IS OVER, YOU SHALL KNOW WHAT TRUE FEAR IS!!! YOU SHALL FEAR THIS GREAT POWER THAT CHALLENGES YOU TONIGHT!!!" The figure was at it's absolute closest as he finished. "YOU SHALL FEAR~!!!!!!!
........................
........................
So Anti-Climactic was the great reveal that this author can't BELIEVE he actually wrote it.
Standing before the gang was what appeared to be a little kid, probably up to Yuusuke's waist in height, a sleeveless blue shirt with short brown hair, white shorts, and a fierce but still somewhat cute expression. On his head was what appeared to be a viking helmet with bull horns on the top.
And why is it there?
Because it can.
... ... ... ... ... ... ...
Okay... I STILL haven't figured that part out.
"Tarosuke!! Nightmare of the Buddhist world, and the almighty lord of 'I'm-gonna-kick-yo-butts'!!" He might have actually been more intimidating if he hadn't allowed his voice to change from the demonic tone he had been using to his normal kid voice... Or revealed his true self to begin with.
..........................
..........................
Go ahead. Laugh...
I know you waaaant toooooo...
[XDDDDD LMAO That's a 'Disney's Dave the Barbarian' reference there.]

Yuusuke found himself laughing much less than he should have been. To the point that he had an almost sullen look upon his face. It was because he'd been in a... similar situation before. Well, Kuwabara had been. But Yuusuke was there.
Yes. The, presumably, young man reminded Yuusuke of Rinku. Also known as 'the short guy that beat the ever-loving crap out of a dude twice his size'. Also known as 'dude, epic hat'. The new arrival even had short brown hair for cripe's sake. Which, to Yuusuke, SCREAMED 'I'm going to beat you up now!'
However, this all didn't stop a FEW chuckles from escaping. However, an important question popped into his mind. Aside from the unanswered 'what up with the viking helmet?' question running around in his mind.
"...when the hell did the Buddhists get their own world? Why don't I have my own world?" Yes. For those avid readers of Yu Yu Hakusho, this was, indeed, a reference to the Makai arc. Go figure. -- "Wait, wait, wait. Wouldn't it just be quicker to squeeze past you? Some odd human custom, or... as a good friend of mine would say... lolwut?" Rax'aar questioned, honestly confused.
...all the while tunneling around her.
"So... is this the part where you tell me exactly WHY we're drilling this hole, or should I just be glad I haven't been punched yet?" Rax'aar asked after a slight pause.
And it wasn't just because the author had no idea why the hole was being driven. Oh no, not at all.
...it's to dig a grave for the fourth wall, isn't it?!

Well, it got Ginger's attention. Suzu turned towards where he saw the shadow but neither him nor Ginger seemed confused about the conflict of size and the show the kid was putting on. Fact was, they both could tell he was yokai.
Suzu glared, "Pick a fight? Pick a fight!? If you wanna kick anyone in the face blame that wannabe Anubis creature!" Suzu used his sword to point at Vlad.
The Umbreon was just now getting to his feet after Ginger had kicked him to the side. He blinked and looked at the circle of charcoaled ground. He looked around and saw the kid with an odd taste in clothes. He glared at Suzu for the insult, but for once had enough sense to stay put. Actually, he was a bit confused as to what kind of Pokemon "Anubis" was. Poor uneducated from a different world critter...
Ginger glared at Suzu but put on a calm composure and began slowly walking towards the other yokai. She didn't want to startle him, "Is this your territory, then? I feel I must apologize for any damage we have caused. It was not intentional..." Actually, she didn't know that for sure. And she was quite positive Suzu had set Vlad on fire on purpose. But she didn't need to say that.
To those with the right sense, Suzu was obviously of the darker yokai variety, the kind told horror stories about. However, the silver Ninetales/kyuubi had a different aura around her. While a yokai, there was an unusual benovolance, one that could be compared to angel. It came from her status as a spirit guide.
Ivy rolled her eyes and began making her way towards Vlad. She had some berries that might help with his burn. She just wished she had some Rawst Berries on her. -----
"You honestly don't know, do you? Two words. Physical Space. Y'know, like a bubble," Aby said. It seemed she had shifted from angry to irritated.
Bubble. Right. How old am I, five? With my luck he'll think I mean a literal bubble... Aby sighed. She hoped they were near the surface and would tell Rah-boy to drill up once he got to her other side.

Tarosuke looked between present company, before, whether Yuusuke's eyes could believe it or not, he clamped his right hand into his fist, with his index finger and thumb out, making it look like a finger gun. He then held it at full length in front of him, aiming it back and forth between Suzu, Yuusuke, and the pokemon as if trying to distinguish the bigger threat. Though when any one of them moved so much as an inch his finger gun would point right at them, before moving on.
"This isn't my realm. Honestly I still find it hard to believe Buddha'd waste his time sending me here." He aimed at Yuusuke then Suzu, then on Ivy, before moving it back to Suzu. "Said it was to teach me a lesson or something, but now I think he was just trying to be a pain in my butt."
He tried to sense the energies of the beings; Ginger appeared Yokai, Nine-tails to be exact, but he didn't seem all that bad. The pokemon appeared clean, not even a trace of Yokai or evil in them, despite appearance...
Then came Suzu and Yuusuke.
Soon his alternated aim became exclusively focused between on Suzu and Yuusuke. Both of their energies seemed... Off. Suzu, in terms of Yokai, Yuusuke... He wasn't sure... It didn't FEEL evil, but still he felt pretty powerful.
"Now, it's a simple question; I was asked by the Fire Department to handle any psycho's that may be at the scene of the fire... You'd be SURPRISED how many of them there are. Apparently some of you are innocent. But that ONLY means some of you." Tarosuke growled as he tried to distinguish which one to shoot at.

And then Yuusuke was silent, wide-eyed. Was this... Tarosuke fellow actually... making an attempt to use the Rei Gun? It was very likely that he could have an attack of his own that used a similar hand gesture. Still, after what had happened with Rando, Yuusuke wasn't exactly keen on taking chances. However, he forced himself to remain calm. Similar to his silent rage, only less... angry.
"Well, I can assure you that I'm perfectly innocent. I merely got here after teleporting out of psycho-hotel. I'd go so far as to say psycho-hotel willed me here. And do I look like I would aid in starting a fire or fighting in an area like thi-okay, don't answer that." Yuusuke refrained from flaring his Rei energy as he said this.
Which was rather odd for him, actually. Perhaps it was because the fellow was on the Lawful side of the alignment prism. He wasn't exactly the type to pick a fight with someone on, technically, the same side as he...
...Kuwabara doesn't count. He's basically asking to get attacked. And that hair, I mean REALLY. -- "O... kay. Quick question... this 'bubble' you speak of. What happens if it's popped? Does it run out of oxygen? Are humans then able to reproduce?" Rax'aar questioned... nearly making an innuendo. Completely accidental.
...maybe.
"And another thing. Could 'pop the bubble' be used for 'cross the Rubicon'?" He was nearly to Aby's other side, now.

Aby facepalmed. She had known he'd take it like that, "It's an expression. Basically means stay the f**k away from me. More politely, its used to express that humans generally don't like to be too close. Unless they're like a couple or something," she paused and turned to Rah-boy as he came out past her, "And I... well, I don't want you trying anything."
Hey, for Aby that was more than polite. -----
It was a wonder Suzu's face wasn't stuck like that. Unlike Yuusuke, he made no effort to mask his spirit energy as he got pissed, "I said if you want to blame someone, blame that thing!" again with the sword towards Vlad, "He decided to f**king bite me, when I was trying to sleep!"
Oh yeah, the energy he was putting off was that of a high ranking demon. He was undeniably pissed and a small flame was jumping back and forth between the fingers on his free hand. He also didn't seem to care that the other yokai looked ready to shoot a spirit gun.
Ginger eyed the pose carefully, "It's probably in everyone's best interest if we just back off..." then she turned to Suzu, "Don't. Just don't. Alright? I don't want to hurt you," Ginger spoke with the "I'm calm enough to blow you up" tone Yuusuke and even Kurama were known to take. It was flat and dangerous sounding, and quite firmly fell into "promise" rather than "threat".

Tarosuke seemed to take all of this in carefully...
Finally his aim turned to Suzu, and STRICTLY Suzu. "Why should I back down? I've handled Demon's 10 times this guys size and power." Energy seemed to appear at the end of his finger. "What could THIS guy possibly do?"
Was this wise? Could Tarusuke actually do anything?
Only time would tell.

"Ah... well... ah." This was, at this point, the only thing Rax'aar could state. It was as if a sword had been stabbed through his heart. It was as if he was being hit with a Rei Gun... from the INSIDE. And why was he reacting the way he was, might you ask?
Why, he'd just given himself what resembled a paper cut. He'd barely even TAPPED his pneumatic drill.
"OH YOU POOR THING! I'M SO SORRY! I'LL NEVER REACT IN A SIMILAR FASHION AGAIN!" At this point, it seemed Rax'aar was speaking both to his finger and to Aby.
Which was totally sane. Totally. -- "Oh yeah, you're right. This guy's a total push-over. Only shoots lightning and fire and has a sword.... that also shoots lightning. Could probably annihilate him in a couple of seconds without trying." Yuusuke stated, almost smiling for a moment. It faded with his next statement, mind you.
"...however, I think the reason Ginger suggested we all back off is that, well... it's not Suzei over here you have to worry about."
There it was. THERE was the flare of Rei energy Yuusuke was known for. The warning had just been tossed up...
...but he would remain on the offensive until he knew what Tarosuke could do. Even if that meant actually attacking him. BOY it's a good thing an issue such as this doesn't come up later in the manga.
...oh waaaaaaait.

Suzu ignored Yuusuke's comments, or at least appeared to. He ran to the side, coming close to Hiei's speed as he held out both hands and lightning crackled on them. His right hand was grasped around the sword, so he was aiming the point at Taro. It would be a maximum of three seconds before the amplified lightning shot at Taro. While he had a chance to dodge, it would come down to choosing to dodge or choosing to hit Suzu with his gun. He could likely do one or the other, but not both.
Suzu's other hand was spread, the palm pointing towards Yuusuke. A burst of lightning would come out at the same moment as the one going for Taro, however this one had fire spiralling around it. The one from the sword would be stronger, but the combined elements of the one from his other hand would likely be more painful.
As for Ginger... well, if anyone was actually paying attention to her after Suzu's stunt, she had run behind Taro. With the attention he had to be splitting she planned on jumping onto his back and chomping down on his neck. Not enough to kill, but enough to hurt like hell and let Taro know she did not support the situation.
Ivy grabbed Vlad as he started running and lifted him into the air. She said her species' name a few times and Vlad responded with a string of Umbreons. To anyone that could understand "animals", the conversation went as thus:
"You will get yourself blown up. And Ginger is in no position to pull your as* out of the fire this time," Ivy flatly stated, well aware of the pun. "But.... fine," whined Vlad, turning away from the immenint disaster. -----
And Aby punched him, "Don't patronize me!"
She'd actually been aware it might have been aimed at the drill, but she wasn't taking the risk of missing an insult. At least she punched him in the arm that wasn't holding the drill. And she wanted it to hurt, but not do any real damage. Although if Rah-boy's race bruised like humans, he'd have one hell of a shiner...

It was a surprise really, Tarosuke hadn't credited this guy to be THAT fast. I mean, it made sense that he could move as fast as greased lightning given he could control lightning itself...
DO'H!!! This is NO time to talk about cars from cheesy broadway musicals!!
The yokai noticed Yuusuke's stance, and was immediately impressed. "So... You know the Rei-gun too. That's actually pretty cool." He smiled a little. "But it seems a tad bit weak... Let me guess... You can only use it once and then your magic has to recharge right?" No-one needed to say it, he had got them there. "But..."
He grinned a little. "I don't have that problem."
Then he did something that no-one was expected in terms of battle tactics, vulnerability, and SANITY...
He suddenly feel on his knees, his hands grasping each other as if he was praying. "Namu... MONMOTARO!!!!"
At first, nothing happened...
Until... ... ...
BOOOOM-BOOOOOOM-BOOOOOOOOM-BOOOOOOOOOM-BOOOOOM-BOOOOOOOM-BOOOOOOM-BOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was mass hysteria.
Energy balls similar to the 'Rei-gun's' energy shot down from the heavens, blasting Suzu away before he had time to fire a shot at Tarosuke, and Ginger (But ONLY, REPEAT, ONLY, because she was threatening to bite down in the back of his neck). Yuusuke came next, but one would likely notice the spiritual energy balls would be weaker then a regular 'Rei Gun' speed in exchange for power, in other words.
Everyone quickly looked up and saw the source...
An odd looking ghost that looked like a cute little girl with long white hair, a show white dress, and a ghostly wisp, was raining the fireballs down on everyone in a vindictive fashion. Turning her attention from Yuusuke and onto Suzu, she fired off rapid fire shots at the demonic yokai.
"You will not TOUCH Tarosuke!!!"
[This isn't Pwnish! this is actually how Tarosuke fights the bosses in his game.]

Yuusuke allowed himself a moment to be surprised. Only a moment. There were multiple thoughts running through his head right now. How had Tarosuke deduced the nature of his Rei Gun? And so QUICKLY? And then he knelt down. For the moment, Yuusuke ignored all obvious puns and/or innuendos he could've made. Because what followed next scared the living daylights out of him! It was...
...a little girl? The look on Yuusuke's face could only be described as 'wait, what?'
...however. He noticed the balls of energy that bore a striking resemblance to the Rei Gun BEFORE the little girl. But then he realized his only chance of dodging was blocked off because SOMEONE had to take his humor badly. He could either be hit by a blast of HOLYCRAPOW laced with DEARGODITBURNS, or he could take the spirit energy. ... ... ... PLAN A OR PLAN B, KRILLIN, PLAN A OR PLAN B.
"PLAN B, PLAN B!" Yuusuke exclaimed, almost seeming to be responding to the narrator. He took one of the blasts of spirit energy, which in turn knocked him away from the lightning/fire.
Not pushed. Tossed him like a ragdoll. He went skidding for a bit. And then remembered that the girl reminded him of someone...
"...DAMMIT, I THOUGHT I LEFT YOU BACK IN SPIRIT DIMENSION! GO FANGIRL OVER KOENMA OR SOMETHING!" Yuusuke exclaimed, pulling up his hand in a Rei Gun pose. He fired, as quickly as he could.
Because he'd chosen a BAD TIME to take off the spirit cuffs. -- "THEEERE IT IS. THERE'S THAT LOVE/HATE REACTION I WAS WAITING FOR." Again, he was speaking to his drill, which had chosen to shut off.
Perhaps because being punched, even in the arm NOT HOLDING the drill, caused him to drop it...
"Alright, so yeah. I can get it started again, but it might take the length of one epic battle to do. Not sure yet." Rax'aar stated, not turning to face Aby. He expected more physical pain, honestly.
Good lord, it was like he was turning into a masochist.

Ginger tried to change her direction in mid-air, but it succeeded in just getting her back pelted by a few of the balls rather than her head. Well, it was a step up but it still hurt like hell. She landed on the ground and made a beeline to get out of the range of the spirit balls. Once there she turned around and focused on the presence in the sky. It reminded her of Arceus or Giratina. Not a yokai, but more of a spirit entity. It seemed rather mad, in any case.
Suzu's aim was thrown off as he leapt backwards, thus missing the small yokai and allowing Yuusuke to dodge his attack. Actually, it looked clumsy enough that it could have been misinterperted at getting blown back by a blast of energy. As he got up, batting away balls of energy with his sword he saw the yokai hadn't moved the entire time... He began running to get out of the area. He had seen Yuusuke aim. If the human wanted to handle the spirit he'd let him. He swung his sword, sending a wide arc of sparking fire towards the kneeling Taro. By the time it hit he would be out of the range of the girl... providing she didn't move in his direction.
Ginger actually gasped when she saw what Yuusuke and Suzu were doing. She planted her feet and yelled, "Get out of the way, he's going to kill you!" She was aiming the shout at both Taro and the girl...
During all this Ivy had taken Vlad to the alley and the two were taking cover. She had no idea she was standind directly above her trainer and an alien, albeit several feet down... -----
Aby waved her hand dismissively, "Whatever. Just quit talking and get to it. I'm tired of being stuck here."

Tarosuke's eyes opened wide at this just in time to see Suzu looming over him.
"WHOA!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
He immediately jumped up dodging a downward horizontal strike... Coincidentally causing Monmotaro to disappear before Yuusuke's 'Rei-Gun' to connect with her. As for Tarosuke he quickly charged up his rei-gun...
That was the difference between Yuusuke's and Tarosuke's 'Rei-Gun's', Yuusuke's only had one setting; 'KABOOM'. Tarosuke's Rei-Gun favored speed more then anything. He could either fire out weak rapid fire shots if he was taking on a few hundred weak and small Yokai...
Or he could charge it up to powerful levels and THEN release. That coupled with fairly quick energy rebuild made it pretty useful in taking on nearly never ending legions of Yokai. Was the charged shot as powerful as Yuusuke's Rei-Gun? Who was to say? But it would be just what he needed to get away from Suzu... For the moment.
His energy was near fully charged when he dodged a super fast slice that missed... But only so barely that the electricity left a small paper-cut like cut on Tarosuke's left cheek. He quickly jumped into the air... Before...
"REI-GUN!!!!"
The ensuing attack had two effects;
one; it sent Suzu skidding across the yard.
two; Since Tarosuke was in mid-air when he launched it, the blast rocketed him backwards a good distance away from Suzu.
He barely managed to land on his feet as he assesed damage, massaging the cut on his cheek. "Man.- GKH!" He hit his knees, but it was not to pray for Monmotaro's arrival. He felt a rather wide, but not necessarily deep gash on his left arm, obviously Suzu's work. "This guy's stronger and faster then he looks..."
