And so here he was again. In a position he'd been in so many times. Fight... or flight? It was, however, the first time in a while he'd had options. So he was stuck at this decision for a moment, keeping his guard up, however. And then a voice spoke to him, in his mind. It wasn't that the boy was projecting his spiritual energy into some epic telepathy thing(Hell, he wasn't SMART enough to do that), but... Urameshi could've sworn he heard Kuwabara. As the author of this post has not yet applied for him or been accepted, mind you, he didn't hear the boy himself, more of... his subconscious mind projecting his voice. Sure. Let's go with that.
"OH COME ON, URAMESHI. YOU CAN'T BE GIVING UP NOW! You beat ME. If you back down now, I'm kicking your ass!"
And as quickly as it had come, it was gone. The moment was over, it was as if Yuusuke had never heard ANYTHING. At all. But his mind had spoken to him. Makes him sound rather psychopathic, but we'll ignore that for now.
However. This revelation DIDN'T stop him from making one last attempt to defuse the situation.
"Listen, Tarosuke. It doesn't have to go this way. If we keep this up, it may not be you, me, Ginger, OR Suzu, but... SOMEONE'S going to die." Yuusuke stated flatly. Well, really yelled, considering the fact that Tarosuke had been tossed back quite a bit.
He did, however, keep his arms up. There was a very HIGH chance that Tarosuke may just ignore what he said... in which case the Rei Gun would be his only choice, what with the Rei Gan, and his physical attacks, all being close range. -- "Wait... maybe if I press the 'on' switch..." Rax'aar stated, repressing the button.
...you know how if you put too much air in a balloon it'll explode? Well... that wasn't the case here. All the built up energy caused it to sorta... fizz out.
"We... might be in here for a short while longer. It won't take long to get it up and running again. However, oxygen may run short before I do, so... your species CAN survive without air, right?" Rax'aar asked, taking a dramatic pause...
...before going back to drilling. He's rather Narmy when he wants to be. It was very likely Aby didn't buy his... 'humor', for that matter.
However, if she DID... he feared for his face.
"I hope nothing's over us. Otherwise SOMEONE'S going to have something/someone smash into their face..."

Aby glared but her attempt at a comeback was drowned out by Rah-boy's drill. She went to punch but a noise caused Rah-boy to merely get a tap in the back of his head. She looked up and poked Rah-boy. Hard.
"Shut that damn thing off and listen for a bit!" she yelled, more loudly this time so she could be heard.
Up above them, Ivy was sweatdropping as Vlad was furiously digging at the ground. The sounds would be visible from below. And even if Rah-boy missed that, some dirt was beginning to fall down onto him. -----
Suzu certainly wasn't. If Tarosuke didn't show signs of submission, and soon, there were going to be issues. He was running at Taro again, getting ready to go for a killing blow... well, was. He was suddenly tackled to the side, his sword getting knocked out of his hands and skittering towards Tarosuke. Ginger had totally just tackled him. She flipped backwards as he tried to jolt her with lightning.
The sword lay there, the moonlight reflecting off the blood in a rather eerie manner, but bad things would happen to anyone who tried to grab it. With all the energy Suzu had been channelling through it, it'd be like one had stuck their hand in one hundred electrical sockets at the same time. He certainly couldn't keep a hold of it and would likely be flung backwards. And the sword could do it several more times, including adding a third degree burn to the injury if it had to.
While not truly "sentient", the sword had enough magic power to know that its master was nearby and would not "let" anyone mess with it.

The small Yokai tilted his head curiously when the sword landed in view. It was definately a curious weapon, coursing with enough electricity to power a power plant. Leaning forward, he better examined the sword, not daring to touch it, trying to figure out what to do about it.
He had heard Yuusuke's yell, but only just barely, and the boy had to admit that the spirit detective had a point. 'Sides', he thought as he looked at his cut-up left arm.
'What other choice do I have?'
Fast regenerative energy or not, he knew there was barely anything he could do against Suzu. He just wasn't powerful enough yet. It was a begrudging thought, but he didn't have any better idea of keeping his life...
Oh well, he'd just have to bust Suzu later, he supposed.
"Okay, I give!"
That probably caught some by surprise, but Tarosuke was making it quite clear. "I mean, take a look at me. Any more damage like this and I might as well be bleeding to death. The better fighter won today." He didn't seem particularly happy about such a notion, but he wasn't about to get killed by any single Yokai. He had other things to do before then.

"...THE DIRT'S ALIIIIIIIIVE! AND IT'S MAKING ODD NOISES! I KNEW THERE WAS A REASON THE HOTEL DIDN'T LIKE US! THE DIRT IT'S ON IS SENTIENT AND HATES PEOPLE AND ALIENS, AAAAAAAARG!" Rax'aar responded to Aby's indication.
But he wasn't spazzing. Oh no, not at all.
...now would be a good time to put 'end sarcasm' or something of the sort. -- Yuusuke had to do a double take here. Had he... did... what? Did he just.... STOP a fight? This was oddly... new to him.
And then something Tarosuke had said made Yuusuke burst into a fit of laughter. When he was finally able to get a hold of himself, he DID explain why.
"Right, right. Because Suzu over here could kill all of us if he felt like it."
Sarcastic Yuu was sarcastic. Also a bit of a jerk, when you think about it. But most tended to ignore that.
...most.

Aby smacked him upside the head. It wasn't a punch, more of an attempt to calm herself down. The noise sounded closer. She cupped her hands to her mouth and shouted, likely hurting Rah-boy's ears, "Vlad, is that you?"
Which was humorous in its own right as despite looking like it was melting, she had been carrying an Umbreon that had started out looking like Vlad in her arms. Well, she had called it "Bobby", but it was likely a detail Rah-boy would have missed. Maybe from being punched to many times. Aby sure did have violence issues...
The digging stopped momentarily and a familiar voice could be faintly heard.... -----
Suzu sat up and glared. Not at Ginger. Technically he still owed her one. So his target was the next best thing. Yuusuke. Well, the teen had insulted him. So it wasn't totally misdirected anger. Just mostly.
He saw Tarosuke had backed down and chose to leave it at that. He wasn't happy with it but he had the feeling he'd be ganged up on if he continued. And while he wouldn't have admitted it he was getting pretty tired. His body language reeked of annoyance as he walked over and snatched the sword up off the ground. He made a "tch" noise and wiped it off on his outfit. As it were, the recent fights with no free cloth around meant his outfit looked rather bloodstained. He didn't say anything, however.
Ginger let her tension drop a bit and walked over to Tarosuke, "I've got enough energy to heal your wounds. Will you let me?" she didn't waste breath apologizing, suspecting it might cause more issues than solve. If Tarosuke was paying attention to her aura, it was quite clear she had the ability to heal him.

(OOC: Extremely sorry, Gantz. I'm normally an extremely patient person, but... my willing-ness to play Kuwabara... yeeeaaaahhhh. So, again, sorry. D:)
"I'd ask why you seem to dislike bringing out the creature with the USEFUL SHAPE-SHIFTING POWERS, but I fear for my health at this point. So is Vladimir going to get us out, or should I turn the drill on again? Not saying he's not trustworthy, just saying he might get YOU out and then toss a pile of dirt in my face. Seriously." Rax'aar pointed a finger accusingly above his head.
...it would appear that getting out took a bit LONGER than one epic battle. But the author of this post was close. --
"Well, at least that's over." Yuusuke stretched a bit. It had been a tiring couple of days.
...wait. HAD it been a couple of days? Seriously, who's keeping up with the time changes around this place? It's POSSIBLE for it to have been a couple of days, and it makes SENSE, but... it wasn't like Yuusuke had a calendar on him.
And just when all seemed calm, when it seemed that today was going to end better than it started... there was a voice. A voice that Yuusuke knew well. One that he was SURE was still back home...
"URAMESHIIIII!"

(OOC: Okay, since Jilak wanted to post Kuwabara and made me feel bad about wanting to move on, I'm gonna post and then we'll wait one more day. Maybe its just a weekend thing.
But we ARE moving on tomorrow. :3)
"Vlad, keep it up! We're down here!" she turned to Rah-boy, "He's exhausted! Couldn't you tell? He used a bunch of energy trying to dig us out," she scowled, "Besides, I can't keep him out with other Pokemon nearby. He's... erm.... ah hell, screw saying this nicely. He's a horndog."
Before Rah-boy could give any kind of response, he had an Umbreon land on his head. For fear of being thrown off, Vlad sunk his claws into the alien's skull and held on for the thrashing he expected.

[1: I WAS grounded, matter of fact I still am. I'm using a school computer to make this post. I will be allowed to use the computer back home come friday.
and 2; I'm sorry I kept you waiting.]
Tarosuke nodded, "I'm not the proud kind of guy, that whole tough guy act back there comes with the job." He shrugged with a smile. "A little healing would be nice."

(No problem at all, my good man. Sorry for uber impatience. >_>)
Rax'aar being... Rax'aar, didn't respond well to having claws sunk into his cranium. He wasn't prepared to toss the Umbreon off when it first landed, but... now, the situation had changed. But first, he had to get one small task out of the way. One droll, non-helpful task. One that would portray his feelings about the situation.
Twitch.
Then a pause. ... ... ... "DEAR LORD! RELEASE ME, VILE CREATURE!" And then finally the spaz. He then began to thrash wildly.
Ah, yes. The two were going to be SUCH good friends. -- "URAMESHIIIIII!" The voice came again. Yuusuke had to pause.
Could it have been...? No, no, that was crazy. He'd left all of them back in his own world... and Kuwabara was powerless. If they were going to send back-up, the LEAST they could've done was send Botan. 'they' referring to the Reikai, of course.
"Kuwa... bara?" Yuusuke turned around...
...only to have something slam into his face. Kuwabara was a 'punch first, explain later' kind of person, after all. Had Yuusuke not been so bloody exhausted from the past couple of days, he wouldn't have been knocked back the way he was. He skidded to a halt, rubbing his sore jaw. He wouldn't admit that it hurt, but... it had felt like he'd been bludgeoned by a club or something.
"URAMESHI! WHY DIDN'T YOU PUT UP A FIGHT, HUH?!" Kuwabara was at him now, holding him by his shirt collar.
"Did you?" Yuusuke asked, finger in one of his ears. The yelling was just... ow.
"...THAT'S NOT THE POINT AND YOU KNOW IT!"
And then there was a slight pause from Kuwabara.
"...what's Rinku doing here?" He asked, a confused expression adorning his face.
It was at this point that Yuusuke's foot slammed into his face, pinning him to the ground.
"It's not Rinku, you idiot. So, Tarosuke, what was that move you pulled back there? With the girl?" Yuusuke asked, foot still on Kuwabara's face.

A portal opened in the room Bobby had Dug his way out of, at Aby's order. It violently snapped shut, making a loud noise akin to an explosion as a long haired teenage boy leapt out of the way. Had Aby not been trying to avoid Rah-boy's flailing arms, had Vlad not been digging his claws in deeper in reaction to said alien's flailing, had Rah-boy not been distracted with "OMGOWPAIN" thanks to Vlad's actions... someone might have heard the noise. As it were, no one did.
The boy known to most as Shuuichi Minamino landed extremely well, calmly looking at where the portal had been. He spent maybe three seconds wondering about Koenma before fully shifting his focus to the area around him. It was pretty dark, but between it being late night where he had come from and his own skill with seeing in the dark, it had zero impact on his ability to see.
It seemed to be a basement area of some sort. He turned his head towards the large hole in the ground. There was a lot of shouting, some of it sounding rather panicked. He slowly walked over to the hole and crouched down to look inside. Whatever was in there was a ways forward, and as such he couldn't see anything...
At least until a black jackal-like creature impacted the side of the tunnel.
Vlad shook his head and stumbled around a bit. Rah-boy had managed to flail the Umbreon off his head, although now a bit of blood was dripping down the alien's face from where Vlad's claws had literally been ripped out his skull. Aby looked out from the side tunnel she had managed to dive into during the flailing. She took a step out and winced.
"You okay...?" she asked Rah-boy. Vlad seemed fine, even if he had been knocked a little off balance. However, Vlad wasn't too happy about her focusing on the alien. Even if he was the only one bleeding.
Vlad was about to give the woman a piece of his mind when he caught the presence of non-human energy. He looked up and his eyes met with Shuuichi's.
"Umbri...?" Vlad wasn't sure what to make of Shuuichi. ("Hello...?")
Ivy was looking down the hole from the side she was at. She didn't want to offer a vine to help the group get out of the hole until she was sure it was safe to do so. And the freak out that had just occured wasn't exactly a sign of things being safe. -----
Ginger turned her head when she heard the shout, but looking at Yuusuke's reaction she realized it wasn't anything that needed attention given to it. She turned back to Tarosuke and nodded, closing her eyes as one of her tails pulsed with energy.
The effect, considering the injuries the demon had received in the fight, would be a sealing of his wounds. They would still be sore but the blood loss would stop, basically turning them into moderate bruises. After that occured she turned back towards Yuusuke, who by this time had knocked the other teen to the ground.
"If you'll excuse me," she said to Tarosuke and padded over to the two teens, "Did you say his name is Kuwabara? Isn't he the one you said could use a spirit sword?"
Even Kuwabara had never seen a talking fox. Youko Kurama didn't count, as despite his fox features was still pretty much human. So yeah, a silver nine tailed fox had approached the pair and was talking as if she knew Yuusuke. And inadvertently pointing out what was probably very much a sore point for Kuwabara.
As for Suzu, he was unimpressed by the arrival of yet another human. He had managed to get the blood off his sword finally, but was still hanging back from the rest of the group. This was beginning to become a hassle, and Ginger seemed more than capable of handling herself. Still, the most he'd done was get in her way. And she had broken the seal for him...

Tarosuke tenderly rubbed the area where the cut had been on his arm; moving it around at this point would only cause a bit of pain. Thankfully Tarosuke was no stranger to pain himself, so it wouldn't really matter. At Yuusuke's question, he smiled a little. "What? Monmotaro?" Waving a hand dismissively, he continued, "It isn't really a move more then it is a maneuver."
The boy sat down on the grass, thinking a moment. "Really, Monmotaro is my guardian. I can call her into battle any time I want. Usually I only do it when I'm surrounded, and outnumbered." He shrugged, "So sorry, but you guys WERE ganging up on me back there. You didn't give me much choice."

"Alright, good point. Sorry for ganging up on you, but you DID attack first. Well, kinda. I s'pose Suzei over here DID throw his lightning first. Not really so much throwing as-oh, whatever. The point is, this wasn't my fault, you should all be ashamed of yourselves, there." Yuusuke overloaded his brain a bit there thinking about who technically struck first. In his defense, Tarosuke had threatened them first... again, kinda. And he DID flare his spirit energy...
...luckily, Kuwabara was there, so he didn't have to think about it long. A certain... rage was building inside the boy. For various reasons. The highest on the list being the fact that the spirit fox was under the impression that he could STILL make his spirit swords... which Yuusuke knew very well that he COULDN'T.
"...URAMESHIIIIIIII!" Kuwabara exploded again, tossing Yuusuke's foot off of his face, leaping to his feet, and putting him in a headlock. All of this in less than 30 seconds. Angry Kuwa is angry.
"Dammit, Kuwabara, what NOW?" Yuusuke asked, arms going up defensively.
"You know I can't bring my sword out any more, dammit. What are you trying to do, EMBARRASS me?" Kuwabara questioned.
"...no?" Yuusuke finally responded. Kuwabara didn't have TIME to respond, however, as Yuusuke proceeded to flip him.
"Well, what're you sitting around for? Go tell her yourself." Yuusuke stated, bored expression finding it's way onto his face.
"FINE, MAYBE I WILL!" Kuwabara responded, getting to his feet and walking in Ginger/Ginko's direction...
...and then ACTUALLY LOOKING AT HER for the first time. Much shock was had. Kuwabara actually stopped and stared for a moment, seeming completely flustered. When BAM.
"IS IT A DEMON?!" Kuwabara actually responded a bit better than Yuusuke had expected him to. He was expecting more of a yell followed by a fall down. Instead of the yell followed by rapid finger pointing.
"She's a spirit guide like Botan, moron."
"Oh. Well... I... I don't really wanna bring my sword out now, gotta save it for the big fights and such." Kuwabara finished, rubbing the back of his head a bit.
Yuusuke would've facepalmed, had it not been for the fact that that was actually rather clever. -- "Er... yeah... I s'pose I'm okay." Rax'aar responded to Aby, feeling at his cranium.
"Dear LORD, how many times am I going to bleed if I remain with these people?" Rax'aar thought to himself. He didn't feel like standing at the moment, because... well, he'd just had quite a few claws dug into his skull.
And then he heard the Umbreon say something. He couldn't decipher it's words, obviously, but it didn't seem frantic or anything. Couldn't have been TOO MUCH to worry about, right?
He thought he could make out... a person, of sorts. From his blurred vision, they seemed female. However, since Kuwabara wasn't here to say something like 'easy easy easy!', Rax'aar was very lucky he didn't say this aloud. VERY.
"...hello?"

And I thought Urameshi-kun was hyperactive... was the first thing to go through Ginger's face as Kuwabara tried to look intimidating. Under other circumstances, it might have been amusing.
Before Ginger's mind, which really hadn't done much interacting with humans over the past several millenia, could really get her thoughts into order, Suzu had reapproached the group.
"What is it with the nickname, anyhow," he held back a growl as he spoke. He didn't want to admit it, but he was a bit tired, "I assume you're trying to insult me. But you do know it falls rather flatly if the one you're insulting doesn't get it, correct?" he turned towards Kuwabara, "Who're you?" he scowled.
If Kuwabara had any traces of spirit sense, they'd be going into overload over the proximity of Suzu and Ginger. And Suzu would be of the negative variety, at that. -----
Shuuichi didn't tense over Rah-boy's strange appearance, or even the blood. While he obviously wasn't human, he was also obviously not yokai either. He wasn't getting any readings of the sort from him.
Aby looked over in time to see the teen gracefully leap into the hole, landing like he'd done leaps like that a million times. He looked down at Vlad, who seemed intimidated by the not-quite-human. Aby's jaw dropped as Vlad nodded slowly and backed up towards her. She drew the Umbreon back into its Pokeball and glared at Shuuichi.
"All right. What are you?"
Shuuichi looked at her, but made no comment. It was clear the black animal couldn't speak, but it was equally as clear that whatever non-spirit technology the girl had used to draw him in indicated a relationship more than pet and owner. He had no intention of saying something that he would regret.
"Hey, don't just stare at me like I'm an idiot! Speak!" she growled. She was actually a bit intimidated but that didn't stop her from making fists. And... stepping in front of Rah-boy to protect him?
Shuuichi decided staying quiet was no longer an option, "I apologize if I startled you. Do you know the way out of here?"
"Venus..." ("He seems off...")
The teen looked past Aby and Rah-boy to the hanging vine... and if anyone could make out his face it was clear there was a different interpertation of the vine that might have seemed normal. A different... level of respect, as it were.

Tarosuke looked at Kuwabara with vivid interest, "You were able to use a spirit sword?" He pushed himself up to his feet. "But how could anyone lose an ability like that? Spirit energy attacks are not easily lost." He motioned to himself. "I mean, look at me; I've lived a good solid 200 years and my Rei-Gun abilities have yet to even lose their touch."

"Er... well I... well you're a..." Kuwabara couldn't get a good rant to form, really. As much as he WANTED to, he really couldn't think of a response.
"The idiot borrowed a 'power enhancer' from one of our enemies AFTER another comrade of ours had already beaten him. It then proceeded to steal his spirit powers." Yuusuke responded. If he hadn't been insulting Kuwabara, that would've ALMOST been a moment of insight. Almost.
"Quiet Urameshi! And for your information, I didn't 'lose' my spirit powers. I just can't use 'em." Right. Kuwabara's retort was so full of fail I can't even make crude humor about it. Neither could Yuusuke, for that matter.
"Well, if you didn't copy a friend of mine, Hiei, so much, I wouldn't have to call you that." Yuusuke responded to Suzu. And then it was Kuwabara's turn.
"I'm Kazuma Kuwabara, toughest guy in Japan." Kuwabara responded, pointing a thumb at himself with a cheeky grin.
Dear lord, Yuusuke nearly died with laughter. -- "Er... I would assume the vine leading out of the hole to the giant creature would be the way out. I'm not entirely sure, at this point." Rax'aar responded to Shuuichi.
"I... don't believe you've introduced yourself." Okay, you HAVE to admit, Shuuichi can be VERY unsettling. VER-and wait, what, was Aby moving in front of him?
"So... are you going to marry the vine, or...?" Rax'aar questioned.
Now where's Kuwabara when you need him...?
