Getting to know one another.

Edd silently looked up, fear planted on her face.

"W-well, I w-was planning on c-checking out the l-local mall h-here, after the b-battle. It's t-the last place of my s-studies."

Her obvious fear of rejection was shown clearly on her face. She has suffered this all her life, and she wondered how she stayed calm these past several days.

"er... you okay?" Merine then asked caringly putting a hand on Edd's shoulder.

Edd looked rater shaken, for no reason apparently as that confused both Merine and Kyle.

"You're not lying to us are you?" Kyle then asked raising an eyebrow

"NO! N-NO!!!"

Her voice was shaken. She lowered her head, tears coming out of her eyes.

"I-I just fear you m-might abandoned m-me, is all."

[tsifan]

Merine just took simple actions as she hugged Edd.

"Look, wearen't gonna abandon you for no reason... I learned that quickly.. Friendship's a bond I like ot keep a hold on, so don't worry.. .you cna tell us." Merine then spoke softly wiht a smile.

Kyle was a bit startled by the cryng as he looked at them.

"It cn't be anything more scary than being with Team Aqua. Boy's Bedroom. that's frightnening" Kyle respoded Sheepishly

Edd was a bit shock with the hug, but both of the two's words made her smile. She wiped the tears from her eyes before she returned the hug herself.

"Thank you for your words of compassion. I needed that."

She gave a slight sigh.

"I just have... abandonment issues, is all. It's a long story that I don't feel like discussing right now."

She picked up her pencil and notepad.

"Well, since we're all together, could you tell me if anyone of you have a place to stay?"

Merine blinked at that question before sweatdropping.

"I- erm... was all Merine spoke before getting cut off.

"I don't have a permanent stay anywhere, but there's a hotel somewhere in the city near here." Kyle spoke still drying his bandana.

"I can use the Team Aqua credit card for your stay. they don't care what I do wiht it." Kyle then finished off as Merine gave a sigh of relief

It saved the girl a explanation of how she actually slept on benches to ave money...That owuld be embarresing

Edd gave a confused look at Merine's stammering. But before she question why, she was accepted an offer to stay in a hotel.

"Thank you, Kyle."

The place she was staying at was a trailer. It was alright, but she still have some fear of May.

"You two don't mind sharing with me, do you?"

Kyle just nodded his head with a smile.

"Course not, though I DO suppose you two are gonna share a room right? " Kyle asked looking at the duo as Merine was quick to nod.

"Y-yeah! I'll share wiht Edd!" She practically exclaimed as Kyle just smiled and looked roudn for the exit of the place.

"Good, because I'm pretty sure being a boy I am I shouldn't stay in a room wiht two females... mostly since pretty much aLL of us will feel uncomfortable..." Kle spoke picking out the location of the exit

Edd nodded, than chuckled nervously, blushing a little.

"Y-yeah, I understand."

She picked up the book.

"You guys go ahead, I'll get started on the notes."

[tsifan]

Kyle and Meirne nodded together.

"Okay, but we won't takes a far distancefrom you.." Merinerespnded as she walked along side with Kyle toward the exit. Kyle was quiet at this point, something obviously running through his head.

Merine followed up on that quietness as she was thinking obut home herself and wondering what her father was thinking right now or whee in the WORLD she was

Edd smiled as the two left. Silently, she opened the book and started to read, jotting the occasional note and doodle of a pokemon she's seen that interested her. Though she was focus on her studies, she silently heard the two pokemon trainers talking outside.

Merine didn't have much to talk about, but Kyle however did. He was going on, and on about some weird things and how he'd see all these things. Oh and he can't swim, and that's why he's excluded was lot.

Merine then turned around to Edd

he said we're nearing hte place.!" Merine said

Edd looked on a bit confused at the questioned directed at her.

"What place?"

"The hotel." Merine repleid raising an eyebrow as she picked up her pokeball from her belt to examine them.

"You seem to have a lot of pokemon." Kyle then said as Merine fidgeted and slamemd it back on her belt.

"I- I don't think so..."

"O-oh!" Edd said, "Sorry, I was too distracted with the research."

She looked at the very last page of the book, and copied off some notes of interest. She put her pencil on the back of her ear.
