"Hm. I'm following a wicked awesome guy with wings instead of going to the 'party of the century'... seems like a fair trade to me." Josah mumbled to himself for a brief moment, before stating the words written and taking flight.
"Oh hey. If you die, can I have your magic pants?"

Yami landed on the castle wall and looked around. It gave time for Josah to land beside him and ask his question. The half-demon looked down and rolled his eyes, "I'm honestly not sure why they're still on one piece, myself," his aura darkened a tad, "But don't count on my dying before you. Don't forget how easily I could crush your throat."

There was that feeling again. That dark, dreadful feeling. The one that would make a certain large-headed boy wet himself, were he there, and had he had the power to sense auras.
"Gulp. Point taken, point taken." Josah waved his hands defensively.
"So what's the plan, chief? The front door was down there, you know..."

The first thing Yami did was retake his human form, although he did have to grab his pants. He barely averted a situation. He mumbled something under his breath in one of the demonic tongues he knew and looked at the teen, "The plan is to see if this place has clothes. As for the door, you obviously known nothing about drawbridges."
Yami didn't wait for the boy's response before walking towards one of the towers. Having to hold his pants up, or at least what was left of them.
(OOC: On the off chance Josah knows/recognizes demonic tongues, Yami basically just let out a few choice cuss words.)

"Psht. Of course I know what drawbridges are. They're bridges you draw on, right? Or... are they bridges that draw? What about bridges that talk? What about that one famous wrestler? Does a twig with ants crawling across it count as a bridge? Does one that was drawn on count as a drawbridge?" Josah responded, following him.
Luckily, he didn't know demonic tongues. However, his past self did. Ergo, he felt that whatever Yami had just mumbled was explicitly naaaaaughty. With all those 'a's. Like that character from Courage the Cowardly Dog would say.

Yami facepalmed with one hand, "Castle doors, can be pulled up to prevent invasions. Learn your history."
He opened the door. Well, no. He touched it and it fell down. Yami blinked a bit and stared down at the door. There was a chain lock on it, and amusingly it still hung from the doorframe. Obviously the castle hadn't seen much in the way of visitors. He walked inside, and it was likely Josah would have trouble seeing in the inky blackness. Or miss the stone stairs.
Yamiyo had no such problem and headed down the stairs, not even bothering to see if the boy was behind him. Or worse, tripping over the missing ground from lack of sight...

"Whatever, man. I'll stick to MY version of drawbridges, you stick to y-" Josah ended his sentence, however, as he missed the stone stairs. And went tumbling down them. Like Jack and Jill.
"OOF-OW-EEP-GAH-NO-BAH-" He exclaimed on his way down, connecting with every. Single. Stair.
"STAIRS ARE NOT SAFE."

It wasn't just the stairs he connected with. It was a fairly narrow passage, and as such he also connected with Yami's back. It was probably a good thing for both of them he was in human form and didn't have his wings exposed. But it resulted in Yami hitting just as many stairs once Josah got to the halfway point.
Yami glared and pushed himself to his feet, managing to keep enough sense to hold onto his pants. He stood up, looking in a lot less pain than he should have. Thanks to the darkness, however, Josah wouldn't know about the glare.
"Can't you watch where you're going?" he growled.
The answer would be no, no he couldn't. He had not activate any darkvision spell, and as such was at quite the disadvantage.

"What do you expect me to do, FLY the darkness away?" Josah grumbled back, struggling to his feet. In complete darkness.
"You'd think the ghosts would have enough decency to glow..."
He, of course, used his power to make short posts short, again.

"I expect you to be more careful if you can't see," stated Yami. He glanced around, "Whatever's here isn't focused right here. Although you've made enough noise to wake any dead that weren't already up and about."
Yami stepped forward and pushed open another door. It opened without collapsing, and the inside of the castle was revealed. Even to Josah, and candles were lit. Meaning someone, or something, was here. Yamiyo felt the hair on the back of his neck rise. Whatever it was, it was powerful. When he had opened the door he'd almost been blasted by dark energy. It reminded him of the higher ranking rulers of Bazaroth.
He glanced back at Josah. The teen had shown the ability to sense auras, it was likely his hair was on end as well...

Josah's hair was, indeed, standing on end. His eyes were rather wide, as well. In essence, he looked like he'd just been through every Slender Man video in existence.
In any case, he was able to respond in a very relaxed way. Able to respond to the fact that his cloak was now being blown by an invisible wind.
"RIGHT, WELL, IT'S BEEN FUN AND ALL, BUT-oh hey, I can see." He was about to head back up the stairs, mind you, until his attention span got the better of him.

Yami would have likely facepalmed had he not been so on edge. The aura that practically blanketed the area in dark energy meant that if Josah stayed, he could very well be killed. He was considering leaving himself now, but as the thoughts occured he felt a concentration of dark energy appearing right behind Josah. He used his speed to grab the boy by the wrist and yank him out of the tower.
It was just in time as well, as a stone wall had slammed down where Josah had been standing, effectively cutting of that route of escape. The comparison to what Yami had felt outside and what he felt now... that darkness outside had been a shielded aura, despite its strength. Yami turned to Josah, glaring to set his point home.
"If you do not wish to die, you'll stick close to me and start figuring out more useful battle spells," his voice was dark, but it was meant to emphasize his point, not scare the crap out of the teen. He turned back towards the massive hall, trying to pinpoint the source of the aura.

So yes. It's more logical that his spell was the Spell of Coincidence, instead of the Spell of Flight. Since, you know. At that exact moment, his book glowed, giving him another readable spell. Improbability Drive in spell form, perhaps.
"...would magic arrows be helpful?" He asked. It was an honest question, really. WOULD magic arrows be helpful?
Truth be told, he'd just assumed that Yamiyo had no other accessible emotion except anger, allowing him to easily disregard the half-demon's tone.

Yamiyo frowned, "I don't know.. there might be a difference if its the right element. What does it use?"
He had taken steps forward, allowing his own dark energy to flare. It didn't even come close to the energy around them, something even Josah and his suppressed powers would feel. Yamiyo didn't want to appear threatening, so he was keeping his human form. However, the way he was flaring his energy meant he was announcing himself.
"I assume you can hear me," Yami said, but it was fairly clear he wasn't addressing Josah.

"Says here it uses something called 'Light Energy'. Is that anything like turning on a flashlight?" Josah asked in response to Yamiyo's question.
He noticed the difference in energies. To him it felt more like one energy was just more abundant than Yamiyo's. In a way, one would suppose he was right, I guess.
"...do the walls have ears?" Josah asked. It was clear that Yami wasn't addressing him, yes. However, Josah was reincarnated as an idiot, after all...
