Josah quickly followed behind Yami, wanting out of the room rather badly himself. A thought in the back of his mind came through. A thought that wasn't of his own, honestly.
"Hey may be strong... but he's no Valrya."
Did I just foreshadow the making of a character named Valrya? I believe I did.

Yami tensed up as he felt the rush of dark energy shoot past him. He whirled around to fight when he heard a slamming noise ahead of where he had been facing. He kept his stance, expecing something to rush at him from either side. At least he'd tied the tapestry in such a manner he was fully covered as he did all this.
He was only vageuly aware of Josah as this occured, and not really caring about his reaction providing it didn't directly effect him.

Josah's reaction was to stand still, dumbfounded. He was still rather shaken up over the whole 'STARINGCONTESTISAGO' fiasco. He heard slamming, and he knew it was from forward, and he knew Yami had whirled. He'd also felt the dark energy. But he was too... shaken, to be shaken. The logic there. Don't think about it.
Trust me.

When nothing rushed at either of them Yami seemed to drop his guard. He looked forward and felt a cool air blowing in. Right, the draw bridge. Not even taking the time to glance at Josah, he walked foward.
Once he reached the drawbridge he crossed it. He would argue with Josah if the boy chose to follow him after getting further into the woods and away from the castle.

His options were stay shaken up with creepy demon guy, or follow Yami. He chose the latter, jogging to catch up with the half-demon, crossing the drawbridge.

The group continued with no words passing between them for a good half hour. Finally, Yami turned, seeming to scan the path he had just taken before all but collapsing into a sitting position on a rock. The sun had begun to rise by this point, but it was still apparent it was quite early. He looked at Josah, aware the whole time the boy had been following him.
"Don't you have a world to save or something?" He tried to sound intimidating, but it just came off as tired. He seemed to realize this and scowled. Even the teachers on Balzaroth hadn't been able to hand his head to him so firmly. He'd heard some of the higher class ones could, but the idea was that you were stronger when you fought them. Another thing, Yami was getting hungry...

"I freaked out at the sight of that demon back there. A voice in my head seems to know things I DON'T know. Lookit me, man. Do you THINK I'm ready to save the world?" Josah asked, a scowl forming upon his own face. And then came a growl. He hadn't eaten in...
...oh, a hundred years or so.

Yami looked up, "Honestly, no. A demon less than five years could probably rip you to shreds with one hand tied behind his back. But unless you're a fan of bloodshed, you won't want to stick around me," there was a dangerous glint in his eyes as he spoke, "Especially your own."
Fact was, Yamiyo didn't have to eat what he had on his mind. He could subsist on normal human foods, even things like raw steak if things got bad enough. But that's all it was. Subsisting. What many people didn't realize is that one species released more energy than others when being consumed.
And the author of this post simply has to say if you don't know what she's getting at, then you probably shouldn't pry.

For a moment, something changed in Josah. For a moment, he was... himself. For a moment, his right eye changed from it's usual bright color to a dark, bored, grey shade. For a moment, his aura poured out of him, unchecked. For a moment, a deep glare adorned his face.
"Would you like to repeat that?" And then... and then it was gone. And then he was himself again, same idiotic grin on his face.
"Sooo..."

Yami jerked his head up as he felt the aura. Not so much his head, but he was at his feet ready to fight for his life as "Josah" finished his comment. But even quicker than it had hit, it was gone. Yami's eyes narrowed at the boy, and it was likely the teen felt as if the half-demon were trying to stare into his soul. Whatever he was after, he didn't appear to find it. Before now he'd seen Josah as an excuse for comdey relief. But now...
"I said that I'm leaving to find something to eat. You don't want to follow me," he turned around and began walking off. If the boy was really an Asrai, he was doing a supernaturally amazing job at hiding his aura. But it was enough to make Yami realize that he was too much effort.
However, he kept his attention towards Josah in case the energy flared up again. Maybe the kid did have a chance. It was no skin of his shoulders, he didn't particularly want to destroy Earth, anyhow. He scowled when he realized he was rationalizing the situation and sped up to what most humans would call a powerwalk.

"Well, I'm pretty bored, so..." Josah responded. In truth, he wasn't 'pretty bored' as 'holy crap if something happens, I need a meat shield'. The energy he'd just flared returned to it's dormant state. However, if one payed enough attention, they'd notice that his right eye had remained it's grey colour. A vast contrast to his bright blue left eye.
"Hey, it's cool with me if you eat people. The demons in my video games always do, and they're good guys." He responded, quickening his pace to keep up with the half-demon.

Yami didn't slow down his pace at all, nor did he turn. It meant he didn't notice the eye color change, "You may say that, but your other self doesn't."
Was it really something as simple as holy possession? That was a rather rare and drastic measure in his home universe. And the Asrai that did it were quite the group of zealots. Which made Yami want even less to do with the boy than before. However, he didn't stop him. When the boy saw him kill someone he was sure the opinion would be changed.
They were on the outskirts of the city by now, and Yami knew enough about cities to know that if he picked off a homeless person, no one would bat an eye.
