Shining Armor noticed Spike's tone as well, and chuckled, grinning. "Well, I guess I really have to meet this guy now."
Aya had noticed the black dragon outside, but hadn't said anything, though she did grab her Maple Leaf Fan and began gently blowing a breeze across her face so she'd have the fan ready.

Heh. That's Twilight for ya... Always studying. Which was why it was absolutely no surprise to hear she and Aya were at the library in the first place. Spike plopped himself down on a chair and said, "Well...as long as I'm here, I might as well stick around." Putting the currently useless handheld away and pulling out a deck of cards. "Mind if I show off a few card tricks I learned while you girls read?" he asked earnestly.
He completely failed to notice the other dragon outside.

Twilight appeared to be amused by this, as she magicked up another book and opened it up. "Sure Spike! Go right ahead, I can multi-task."
------------------------------------------------------------
Back at the doorway, Cinder stopped when she noticed Aya prepping her fan. A sign that usually meant 'approach at your own risk'. After taking a moment to suck in a breath, she continue her approach. While she looked unassuming, she really hope she let off an aura of no harm.
All the while her eyes were fixed on Spike in wonder. Briefly her mind went back to not only what she remembered of Spyro, but also of what she remembered of Malefor. More then anything…
She was curious about whether or not the same could be applied to the tiny little dragon before her.

Aya relaxed slightly, though she still kept a grip on her Fan. She was willing to hear out the dragon coming into the library, though she was still being careful.
Shining Armor began studying the Protect and Shell spells, saying to his sister, "These are useful... kinda surprised this is the first time I've seen anythin' like this." He browsed through, finding another spell that had a very strange name, to him. "...Tetrakarn? What kind of spell is this?" Looking down the page, he came across another one. "...Makarakarn? Weird..."

Spike slid the cards out of their box and began quickly shuffling them. "All right then," he declared. "First I just gotta..." An accidental slip in his shuffling motion caused the deck to erupt suddenly and comically around him. He pointed up with an awkward as cards rained down. "Uhh... Hehheh... Well, not do that for one..."
Giving everybody a one moment gesture, he ducked under the table to scoop his deck back up. He still remained totally oblivious to the dragon right in the same friggin room. Wait, what dragon? Exactly.

As Cynder closed the last amount of distance, she was roughly three feet away, looking to Spike curiously. He certainly looked like a Purple Dragon... The only difference seemed to be his green spines and the light green frills that looked like ears. He also seemed to sit himself up differently. She was reminded somewhat of the apes from how he was sat, as if he would stand on his hind legs as opposed to all fours...
This was certainly one odd little dragon...
As she continued to marvel at his purple scales, she became aware of the conversation for the first time. "Heheheheh." Twilight rolled her eyes a bit. "Oh Spike... Sometimes you're just too adorable." She chuckled a bit. "Anyways, you were saying?"
As she said this, Twilight took notice of Aya's wandering eyes...
She looked in the direction Aya's eyes were... And quickly saw the black dragon there. "O-Oh!" She was quite surprised. From her knowledge, she wasn't sure she had been aware of dragons that were black before.

Shining Armor glanced over where Aya and Twilight were, seeing the black dragon and addressing her with a quizzical look.
Aya kept watching her.

Spike hastily managed to scoop up all 52 cards on the floor, and with some slight fumbling stacked them back together like-facing. He should probably try to be more careful this time around.
Hopping back up to the table, deck in hand. "OK, let's try that again," he said as he prepared once more. "Here's a little one I picked up last Friday, about an hour before movie night time. You see..." But just as he was beginning to explain, he trailed off upon noticing his friends were completely distracted by something else. He cocked his head, looking strangely at them, wondering what could capture their attention so easily so suddenly. "Uhhh... Guys? What are you...? Oh."
As he turned his head in the direction of their gaze, he was greatly surprised to see that an older black dragon had wandered into the library. And a girl dragon, by the looks of it. In any case, she seemed kind of curious about them. Now why would that be?

For a long hard moment everyone remained still awaiting one party or the other to do... well... SOMETHING that would break the awkward silence that had ensued.
About four minutes later Cinder finally decided that she was the one that needed to speak. Considering she was the interloper here it only made sense. After a few moments she finally figured out what to say...
"Um... hello." She noted the meekness in her tone and quickly corrected it. "Yeah... I apologize if I'm interrupting anything... But your little friend reminds me a bit of a friend of mine..." She let out a breath.
……………………
Twilight was a tad perplexed at this statement... Hey her and everyone else at this table. "Uh... oh really?" She thought a moment before narrowing her eyes. "Who are you?"
The young dragon flushed a little at this. "Right... sorry..." With that said she cleared her throat. "The name's Cynder."

Shining quirked his head slightly, though the stallion said nothing.
Aya, on the other hand, quickly snapped a picture, then went back to her silence.

With a chuckle, Spike remarked, " Heh heh... Cinder. That's a pretty cool name for a dragon, 'cause like...cinders and ashes, from burning and stuff..." Clearing his throat after that moment of explaining the joke, he stood up on his chair, and formally introduced himself. "I'm Spike, by the way." He then waved a hand to each of the other three. "And these are my friends: Twilight Sparkle...Aya...and Shining Armor. He's Twilight's cool knightly big brother," he added with a grin. The younger dragon boy smiled over at the older dragon girl, telling her, "I don't get to meet other dragons all that often," adding aside in a matter-of-fact yet kind of disappointed tone, " And when I do, they end up being kinda jerks..." He had to note, though, Cinder seemed rather different from the other dragons he'd met. She lacked the hostile attitude for one. And something told him whoever her friend was, they probably weren't so bad either.

Cynder took a moment to take in Spike's explanation before chuckling...
She actually found it mildly amusing how she had NEVER noticed that. But then again, she WAS originally going to be a wind dragon before the whole thing with the Apes and Malefor. Due to this, fire wasn't going to be her element, and thus no punny name. "Hmmm, I see..." She looked to the gang before her with a small smile. "It's a pleasure to meet all of you." She bowed her head respectfully. "I wish to apologize once again for my intrusion."
While Twilight was still suspicious, she did have to say that this dragon was definately more polite then some of the dragons she had seen previously. She was almost like Spike in a way. "Well, I suppose I can understand that." She tilted her head a bit in curiosity. "But why would you think Spike looks like your friend?"
There was a moment where Cynder briefly wondered how to respond to this... Well, they didn't LOOK like any species she had seen from the Dragon Worlds... "It's nothing really... It's just his purple scales." With that said though, she couldn't help but look around, taking in her new environment. "But enough about that... Could you possibly tell me where I am? I remember flying around with that friend of mine before we found this weird cluster of energy and... Well, here I am." She sighed. "Heck, I was separated from my friend somehow thanks to that energy..."

Aya chimed in, "Dimensional Island, population about... oh, I dunno. A lot. Nexus between dimensions."
Shining Armor nodded, giving a friendly smile that came so naturally to him.

"What your friend's name?" asked the younger dragon. "He sounds like a pretty cool guy to me so far. And hey, maybe here's somewhere on the island too," he suggested with a kind of maybe shrug.

Cynder took in the name of the island a moment, trying to absorb what she just learned. 'A nexus huh?' That sounded... strange to her. She hadn't once thought that anything like this could exist. But did that mean other worlds themselves existed? Well apparently so. She knew she hadn't seen anything like these guys before. Twilight and Shining appeared to be Technicolor horses, similar to Spike whom had bright purple scales.
Then there was Aya... Her being a friend of these creatures seemed even weirder since she appeared to be something else entirely...
After a moment, she shook her head deciding to figure this out at a later time. "Dimensional Island, huh?" Cynder shook her head. "I know I've never heard of this place." She turned to Spike upon hearing his thoughts on the matter. "If he is on the Island, why didn't he come through the portal with me?"
"Yeah, the portals here tend to be pretty random." Twilight said with an annoyed frown. "Me and my friends were separated from each other traveling through a portal ourselves. Thankfully it was pretty easy finding everypony." Upon saying this, the unicorn pony looked to Cynder curiously. "Anyways what's your friend's name? Maybe we can help?"
Taking a moment to consider this, Cynder considered just deciding to continue searching herself... The only thing was she didn't know this island that well... These people probably had been here longer then she had... Finally she shook her head, deciding on a course of action. "My friend's name is Spyro. And if you could help me I would really appreciate it."
