Aya got out her notebook and pen. "Sure. I tend to cover a lot of ground, so I'll keep my eyes open. What does he look like?"

"Well, he's a dragon, and he's purple," chimed in Spike. "We know that much..."
Spyro, huh? Heh... Wow. Even their names were similar. Spike. Spyro. ... Well, they both started with a 'spi' sound anyway. Just one ended with a 'k' sound and the other in a 'row' sound...

Cynder considered Aya's generous proposal. Well, two pairs of wings keeping a look out in the sky was better then one. She nodded as she sat down. "Okay, so. Spike was right. He has purple scales and that's a pretty big giveaway there. For others though, he has big yellow horns."
"H-horns?" Twilight sounded a touch nervous. But really, seeing horns on anything but a unicorn, to her, just sounded intimidating.

Aya nodded, writing the information down in her notebook. "Alright!" She flipped out her cellphone and sent a quick text message. "Mike and Marisa will be here soon; they'll come pick you guys up, alright? I'm gonna start investigating. If I find anything, I'll meet up with you in the Plaza area of the city, okay, Cynder?" She chuckled and walked slowly out of the library, taking off at mach speed out of the mall and elsewhere, searching for Spyro.
Shining Armor blinked at Aya's display of speed. "...I think she could give your friend Rainbow Dash a run for her bits... wow..."

"I heard they tied," Spike chimed in when Shining comparing Aya's speed to Rainbow's, recalling the tale of their race at the park. In a display of pride, the two wanted to settle which one was the faster, and Mike acted as judge; that was how Rainbow met Michael and his friends in the first place.
He gave Cynder a thumbs up. "And if we've got someone who can go toe-to-hoof with Rainbow in a race helping us look, we'll probably find your buddy Spyro in no time," he assured confidently.

The smile on Cynder's face was undeniable as she nodded. She appeared quite excited. "I am grateful to all of you for willing to help me."
"Oh don't worry about it." Twilight chuckled as she magicked up one of her books. "It looks like you needed help. And who were we to refuse? Besides, your not too dissimilar to Spike here."
Cynder regarded Spike curiously. "What does that mean?"
There was a roll of the eyes and a sigh. "Back where we come from, Dragons are normally bullies. It's not everyday we get to meet a dragon as nice as you are." She chuckled. "Perhaps we'll meet even more dragons like you."
..... Bullies? Huh... What sort of world were these people from? Dragons where she came from were normally kind and gentle creatures... Certainly curious.

Shining Armor chimed into the conversation. "Yeah, some of the really large dragons cause a lot of trouble; the Princess has had to send me and the Guard in to deal with it from time to time... that's where I was before I found out about you, Twily."
Meanwhile, outside in the mall, a loud whooping sound was heard, as well as a scream of terror; two blurs on a broomstick shot by the library's entrance, crashing into a display outside a store... a women's clothing store.
Marisa stood up, picking up her broom, a 'little black dress' over her witch outfit. "Ooh, I like this... I bet Alice would, too. What'cha think, Mike?"
Michael shook the dazed feeling out of him, standing up... a bra over his head. He yelped in surprise, pulling it off of him. "I don't know, Marisa, I'm not going to tell you 'no'. C'mon, Aya said we have some ponies to pick up." He dusted off his shirt and jeans.

Spike could still remember the one dragon that nearly barbecued him that one night he ran away and got lost in the woods. And more recently, there were the teenage dragons that embarrassed him with all those initiation tests and then just proved themselves even worse afterwards when they went to smash those phoenix eggs. Cynder, by far, had definitely shown herself to be far different from any of them.
Before he could so much as think of anything to say, a crash outside made him jump. After the chaos subsided, two voices hit his acute hearing that he recognized--one in particular. "Mike!" Spike hopped off his chair and scampered out of the library.

Twilight and Cynder had heard the crash themselves, and both had turned to see what had happened. "What-!? What was that!?" Cynder was reasonably on guard since explosions back home usually didn't mean anything good. However that was when they heard voices outside, and Spike rushed out, seemingly recognizing the voice. "Mike?"
"A friend of ours that had went missing some time ago." She smiled a bit. "But that was definately his voice I heard! Come on! Let's go look into it!" Twilight quickly took off after Spike. "Spike wait for us!"

Shining Armor quickly followed after his sister, now incredibly curious as to what this human looked like. He was a little surprised, to tell the truth.
Marisa had gone inside the store to pay for the little black dress. Michael dusted himself off, then noticed Spike running up. "Hey, Spike!" He picked the little dragon up, giving him a friendly hug. "Sorry Marisa and I haven't been around; we got a little held up with our scouting..." He looked over at the other two ponies. "Hey, Twilight." He looked over at Shining Armor, trying to process who the stallion was.
"Mmm... ah! It's been a bit since I saw the finale... Shining Armor, right?" He walked over, extending his hand. "Pleasure to finally meet you."
Shining Armor shook Mike's hand with his hoof. "Same to you, Mike. I've got a lot of questions I wanna ask you..."
"Same to you, Shiner, but can they wait until we're back home?" He turned back to the store. "Hey, Marisa! We kinda need the broomstick..."
Marisa dashed out of the store (on her broomstick, no less), inspecting the newcomer. "Ooh... another pony... and a handsome one, too!"
Shining Armor blushed in shock. "S-Say what?!"
Michael rolled his eyes and slapped Marisa upside the head, using his power to play a Three Stooges-like sound effect. "He's spoken for, Juliet. C'mon, let's head back..."

Spike may have been a naive one, but even he could tell easily enough that she'd been hitting on his pseudo big brother. Tossing Marisa a comically dry glance, he pointed a thumb in Shining's direction and chimed in, "Dude's married, just F.Y.I...."
As they prepared to leave, the young dragon turned to the fair-haired human and asked, "By the way, ever heard of a dragon kinda like me named Spyro? We just made a new friend who was looking for him." He motioned to the black dragon in their midst as he said so.

Cynder idly raised the claws on her front left leg up to offer a simple wave. "It is nice to meet you Mike, I've heard a bit about you from Spike. The name's Cynder."
There was an unamused expression on Twilight's face as she looked to Marissa. "Yes, my BBBFF is married to Cadence, an old friend of mine." She shook her head before looking to Mike. "Anyways, I've found a fair amount of books I can take a look at as far as magic is concerned. So we can go."
--------------------------------------------------
As Twilight said this, she was unaware of a young man walking into the library, carrying a thick red tome, and wearing street clothes, topped with a green camo cap. The young man seemed too engrossed in said thick red tome to notice the odd sight at the front door.
Which was probably a good thing, since Gantz was a known Brony and probably would have freaked at the sight of Twilight, Shining and Spike. As he was, he appeared to mutter to himself as he read it...
All the while the energy behind the book was very prominent.
It certainly caught Twilight's attention.
"Huh?"

Marisa rubbed her head slightly. "Jeez, I know! Cripes, can't a girl crack a joke once in a while, ze? What kind of creep do you think I am? Alice'd kill me, anyway."
Michael noticed Twilight's reaction. "Hm? 'Sup, Twilight?"
Shining Armor had not, however; his flush started to leave his face as he realized that Marisa had just been joking. "Yikes... ...is she always like that?"

Another individual--a rather short young man with neat light brown hair, bespectacled brown eyes, and semi-dress clothes--did, on the other hand, notice the group outside. However, he only spared it one glance and moved into the library. He'd seen stranger where he came from.
As the young man stepped into the library, he passed by another who appeared to be engrossed in his own book (it must've been a very good read) as he stepped up to the front desk.
"Hello," he said, politely hailing the librarian on desk duty. "I would like to register for a library card please."

As all of this went down, Twilight continued looking into the library. For some reason, something inside her was telling her to go back into the Library, as if there was something in there just waiting to be found.
She had been aware of similar feelings before... But they were never THIS persistent.
"Hmmm..." She continued looking into the library. "I don't know... I just felt this weird energy..."
-----------------------------------------------
Back in the library, the young man took a seat at a table with a notebook in hand, placing the red arcane tome on the table next to said notebook. He appeared to start looking between the notes on the page, and at the runes in the tome, seemingly making note of all of the runes he came across, easily traslating it.
Really, it had become a part of Gantz's daily schedule to go to the Library and continue translating the runes in the Gran Grimoire. He had to catch up with it, since, ever since arriving on this island, new pages seemed to be added to accomodate new spells the island had to offer. Due to this, new runes books were often needed.
With this thought in mind, he pulled out another book on runes and opened it up to help him reference theGran Grimoire.
"Okay... Let's see here..."
