You grin, pulling Palmer's Pummeler out of your Mutekind abstratus. Gripping the tuba mute around the 'neck' with your hands, you wait for the wolves to get closer... and... giving a loud battle cry, you swing the mute, enlarging it and swinging it baseball style at them.

Shining really wasn't hearing what Twilight was saying, due to Discord's influence over him. He'd more-or-less curled up, somewhat dead to the world. He occasionally looked through the viewport, but mostly remained how he was.

[I'm finally just saying screw the Homestuck Format for a little while, lets stick with regular narrative writing for a while. XP]
Discord noted the young man's impressive response to his timber wolves, but didn't seem to fret too much at the loss. This Mage of Space wasn't about to best him just on the liberty that he had something to fight for. The excuse was poor, and Discord himself did have something to fight for himself; his pride as a being of chaos. He gave the show little more then a yawn. "Aaaaaaaaah~... Honestly is that the BEST you've got? Weapon enlargement is hardly creative. Effective yes, creative no."
He grinned as he clapped his hands and rubbed them together. "Meanwhile, watch what I can do!"
The tornado seemed to morph, the books suddenly turning into ice and shattering, creating a humongous blizzard right there inside the inclosed space. "Try this young man. From what I hear, these creatures are quite the party animals! The epitome of the cold shoulder cliche!"
The ice seemed to... Morph into odd shapes. They looked like big ice horses running along the icey wintery winds, letting out haunting and ghostly neighs. The Windigo's had no idea what was going on, all they knew was that their new location seemed so much more hate-filled then the kingdom of Equestria. There seemed to be so much in fact that they quickly went on a rampage. The library and the ground around it iced up in a blistering hurry.

Back on the ground, Twilight looked just plain horrified at what she was seeing. She more then knew the legends behind the windigo's and she more then realized them being released onto this world was NOT a good thing. "Oh no..."
Taokaka meanwhile was entranced by the mysterious ponies and how they seemed to freeze everything near them. The only people that appeared to be spared was Discord and Pieter. "S-Shadow Guy! What are those spooky horsies?? Their scary meow!" Alex was in clear agreement, his expression horrified.
"This is bad. If those things bust out of the space barrier, they could cover 3/4ths of the island in seconds!! I really hope you can find someway to counter this Pieter..." As the Windigo's continued whirling around, freezing everything in the library, Alex could almost feel the chill from where they were standing. It was a very defined feeling of dread and pure unadulterated cold.

Pieter snarled lightly, muttering several curse words under his breath. This was bad. Very bad. From what he knew, these things couldn't be stopped by normal magic or brute force... he'd need to get creative. Maybe...
"Well, this just got more interesting... Let's see just how much I can affect these things..." Pieter rolled into the center of the 'arena,' the icy winds making his robe blow around, then slammed his hand palm-first onto the ground, creating a gravity well; he pushed it to twice the normal gravity. Pieter wasn't sure what to do, really, so he knew he needed to improvise.

Discord's eyed the gravity well as Gravity itself increased a great deal. He himself wasn't affected since Gravity was his bitch anyways, and the windigo's continued circling around and around above them, threatening to freeze the entire building and anything nearby. Discord only let out a chuckle. "Hahahahaha... THAT'S your big response? A gravity distortion? What do you hope to do with THAT?"

Pieter grimaced. That didn't work, but... maybe he could try this... direct combat might not work but he wasn't really sure what these things' weaknesses were. They were never shown on the show, after all. He couldn't let Discord see him sweat, though. "This, perhaps?" He focused the gravity at a certain point at the wall, using it to slingshot himself foot-first at one of the Windigos. He figured he could try to shatter one of them.

Alex watched as Pieter rocketed towards the Windigos, nervousness settling in. Discord just may have picked a winner here, after all. Windigo's were unaffected by gravity and he had a bad feeling that physical damage would be uneffective as well...
He was proven right as Pieter phased right THROUGH the Windigo he had launched himself at... And when he came out the other side, he looked a LOT colder then he was previously. "PIETER!!!!"
Twilight gasped and Tao looked scared.

Discord stiffled a chuckle at the pitiful move, not even doing much save for lounging back into a lawn chair and enjoying the show. "You know young man. For someone who claims to be such a big fan of Equestria you have very little knowledge to prove it." He ate some frozen popcorn kernels as this continued on. "It seems the fight's barely begun, and I've already won."

"Hhh... w-well e-excuse my ignorance, asshole... the show told us v-very little about these damn things..."
Pieter pulled out an incendiary Harmon-ade and tossed it down, nearly bathing in the fire it created to regulate his body temperature. "Haah... these things are like ghosts... how the hell can I win...? Good emotions drove them away, yeah, but... I'm not Ryan. Space, the Universe... that's my area of expertise, not Heart-slash-Soul... I don't even know if these things have molecules that I can make more solid."
His barrier was holding up alright, that much he knew... The young man entered a meditative position to attempt to make a plan.

Discord laughed at the barrier, now just lounging on a sofa made of ice. "You can hide in there all you want! I have all of the time in the world and this barrier can't hold forever!" With this said, he snapped his fingers, creating several copies of himself, all of them booing the Mage of Space as things went on.

Tao looked quite worried as this all went on, unsure of what to make of this. "S-Shadow guy? Wh-what is Pie guy going to do meow? This is getting scary meow!!"
Alex didn't respond looking at the scene as things got colder and colder...
"Come on Pieter, come on...."
Twilight meanwhile was racking her brain over what to do, trying to figure out how she could help. She could try the Hearth's Warming spell, but that wouldn't be too effective without her friends there to help strengthen it... And her brother was in no condition to help her either...
Oh what could she do??

Pieter felt trapped. He was at a loss of what to do since he didn't know what kind of weakness the Windigos had that he could exploit...
"...Dammit. I guess I have no choice. I've never tried to do something like this and I have no idea how taxing this will be but if it works... then I might just be able to stop these things... here goes..."
Pieter stood up, the flames dispersing. The air around him seemed to shudder as his aura flared up to its maximum, his voice distorting somewhat as he spoke; a song began playing as well.
"It's ALL OR NOTHING!"
The human crossed his arms, palms towards his face, crouching slightly. "HhhhhhaaaaaaAAAAAAUUUUUUUUGGGHH!"

Alex was unsure what to think about any of this, Discord was showing up Pieter up something fierce. He really wished Pieter hadn't locked him out, there had to have been something that he could do to help out here-
When he saw the Mage of Space suddenly enter his new stance however, his eyes widened in horror. He had a bad feeling about this... Like he had SEEN that before... Tao could only squeak in terror as she held onto him looking at the screen.
Twilight meanwhile watched on. She was every bit as in terror herself, "Pieter!! What are you doing?!?!" She could sense powerful energy forming... And something told her it was going to be bad.

With Discord, he looked on in interest, smiling ever more. "Oh! Now what is it you are doing NOW I wonder? Hahahaha! Oh this should be a rich little show!"

Pieter's voice gained an echo to it as he spoke. "These things are cold but there is colder. With modern scientific methods, it's impossible to reach this point... this point where even these spectral beings of cold will shatter like nothing... this point..."
He could already feel all of his energy going into this. "I WILL STOP YOU!"
He loosed a loud yell as he stood fully upright and threw his arms outward, a burst of pure spatial energy filling the area he'd sealed off. "ABSOLUTE ZERO!" The young man screamed out as his energy fired off, the burst temporarily turning the area to a point so cold that all molecules froze completely. At that point, the human chucked the trumpet mute he had as a sidearm at the Windigos... he would've done the same at Discord... but he could already feel his strength ebbing away. He wouldn't be able to hold this much longer...
His barrier flickered and eventually fell as the temperature regulated. Pieter swayed on his feet, before... "Aaron... the rest... is up... to you... nnhh..." His eyes seemed to roll up into his head... as he collapsed face first on the floor, dead.

The Windigo's shattered like cheap glass at Pieter's two attacks, while Discord himself was caught by surprise at the sudden change in temperature. When all was said and done however, Discord at worst looked like he was just suffering from a case of frostbite. "B-BRRRRRR!!! Well that was a cheap trick!" He smiled a bit. "Oh oh well, I suppose I am the victor here-"
BAM!!!!! He felt the solid steel racket SLAM him upside the face, making him spit out a tooth. "What the-!?" He looks...
And finds Alex raging at him as he swung the Racket around for another hit. "Agh!!!" Discord quickly flew backwards... Only to get slammed backwards by a Void portal. BAM!!!! The racket collided with the creature's gut and sends him flying backward. ..... Discord stared at Alex as the Thief of Void prepared another attack. "I'll give you this Thief. You're not that bad at all!" HE grins. "But guess what? I'm better!!" The dragon with the chocolate milk blast reappeared and fired off a powerful shot.
However Alex was ready for it. A Void portal appeared in front of him, absorbed the blast.... Then another one opened up allowing the blast to fire back out at Discord. Though momentarily surprised, the DraconEquis merely opened his mouth WIDE and gulped down the Chocolate milk. A grin was prominent on his face. "Mmmm, not bad at all..."

Back on the ground, Tao, Twilight and Shining quickly ran for where Pieter was lying on the ground. Twilight looked wide-eyed when she found the man to not even be moving. "Oh dear Celestia..."
"Pie guy?" Even Tao looked a bit worried as she walked to the body, fell to her knees.... And then put her paws to his back, shaking him as if trying to shake him awake. "Pie Guy are you okay meow? Tao wants to know!" 'Pie Guy' didn't answer...
And frankly Tao was getting more and more worried about this the more she tried to shake him.
Twilight could only watch this, tearing up... "Oh Tao...."
She was too innocent... She didn't deserve to see something like this...

"AAAAAAGH!!!!" Alex was sent flying backward as a still shivering Discord grinned at him. "WHY YOU!!!!!"
"I will admit this has been most fun... But you are starting to bore me a little..." He frowns as he looks to his more serious injuries, frozen completely through and CRACKED with Alex's earlier vicious attacks. "And unfortunately for you, I have other things I could be doing right now."
Alex roared in rage as he charged at the Draconequis once more, his racket reeled back and ready to swing forward with all of his might...
"So with that said, I have to bid you adieu... Tata~!"
He vanished into thin air mere seconds before Alex's attack could connect... He REALLY wanted to track down Discord.....
But... His eyes fell downward.
No...... No......
Alex knew he had other things he needed to do...

*TICK*.......*TOCK*......*TICK*......*TOCK*......
Pieter's mind was... rather blank for the most part. The young man thought to himself, 'So this is what happens when a God Tier dies...'
The ticking continued to sound as yellow and purple flashed by his eyes. Pieter exhaled lightly in the space... he had no idea how long he'd been dead (he'd been dead for a little while at least...), but eventually his vision was filled with bright glowing light as the 'arrow' stuck in the middle. As that happened, the warmth of life began filling the young man's body, though the glowy revivey thing hadn't begun to happen yet.
Shining's color was slowly beginning to return since Discord had left, but the stallion was still quite shaken. Seeing the dead human there really wasn't helping.

Alex quickly landed and found Pieter lying on the ground, Tao continuing to shake him, her shaking however had grown rather frantic. "P-P-Pie Guy!! This joke isn't funny anymore meow!!! Wake up please?!"
"Tao... Stop..." Twilight said this slowly and painfully, the reality hitting her hard.
Tao didn't stop however. Not until Alex came up and pulled her away. "M-MEOW!!! SH-SHADOW GUY!! LET GO!!! Tao wants to wake up Pie-Guy!!! Tao wanna meow!!!!!!!" Alex merely held Tao in a hug while she frantically moved around. He could feel tears on his robe, though he hoped it was because Tao still didn't fully understand what was going on...
The poor little thing.... "Don't worry Tao..." He continued eyeing the corpse.... "With any luck, Pie-guy will wake up on his own."
?!?!?!?!?
Twilight looked to Alex with wide eyes, unable to accept what she had just heard. "Wh-What are you TALKING ABOUT?! We saw what happened with our own two eyes!! How could he POSSIBLY have survived that?!?!"

Before long, Pieter answered Twilight's question as his body began glowing in quite a variety of colors. The human's God Tier immortality kicked in; it wasn't a just death and considering Discord was still out there, his sacrifice wasn't Heroic enough, apparently. He raised into the air, his body being restored.
Shining's eyes widened and he gaped. "...W...What...?"
