“Why the sigh?” Master Chief asked. Then he looked at the mall. It was vast, bright, uncultured—and mostly USELESS. Most shops looked like they sold either clothes, food, or video games. He suppressed a sigh himself.

He spied a shop that looked to be advertising its swords. "I need something with more reach. I'm sure I can modify it to my liking." He headed towards 'Ye Olde Sworde Shoppe'.

As Chief entered the store, he was confronted with a bewilderingly vast array of swords of all kinds. He was well-versed in knives and guns of all kinds, but swords? No one besides Grey Team had even used swords for 600 years. He knew basic differences-- claymore vs. katana and such. But small differences, those subtle things which made or broke a good weapon? He was clueless.
"Um... do you happen to have any experience with swords?" he asked.

Chief sighed inaudibly. Then he would have to just guess on which sword to choose. He began to browse slowly through the isles, ignoring the strange glances he got as his steps shook the floor.

"For the weight of the armor and height it grants- I would suggest a Scottish Claymore, long reach and a good weight, or a pair of Persian Scimitars, if you want speed," she offered. "I used to study them and I rather appreciate the weapons."

"Claymore," Chief decided quickly, glancing around and picking one up. He tested its balance-- it wasn't perfect, but it was close enough that some very simple alterations on his part would fix that problem. He swung it twice, slowly, before whipping it around his body so fast it was a blur much like a helicopter blade. "This'll work."
