"That's great to hear, Ryan!" Evan mused, calmly eating his dinner as his friends went about their conversations. He could only snort and rolls his eyes at Arti's quip, amused by how little had changed in spite of their new lives.
He offered an optimistic smile to Beth. "Hey, I'm sure there are plenty of practical uses for blood powers! You can see the bonds between people, right? There's a lot of psychological potential in that. Maybe you and Ryan could work something out together." He chuckled once, took a bite of pasta and continued, "Truth be told, I haven't gotten much use out of my powers either. Although I suppose all that praying I did helped to get my first book on the New York Times Bestseller list..."

"Yeah, that's gotta count for something!" Swift agreed, playfully elbowing Evan. She looked over at Pieter, then at Aaron, her next question directed at pretty much anyone who felt like answering. "So! Any other noteworthy sites you guys have seen?"

Ryan gave a nod. He reached for some of the food, giving it a quick sampling as he smiled. He gravitated toward the pork loins and the pasta, but stayed away from the wine- he couldn't stand the taste of alcohol. "Well, I suppose I've seen some of japan and other areas," he mentioned, his hand still gravitating to his pocket. "Even got to be a goof- I've used my sketch characters in elaborate plays, and no-one realizes they're not special effects."
His smile faded, the man trying to quiet his nerves as he swallowed a few bites. He started to walk toward Beth, his expression... sad, somewhat anxious. "...Um... I want to ask you something Beth..."

Pieter chuckled softly at Arti's ecstasy, grinning. "Ah, thank you, thank you, you're too kind. Ah, it's tempting but I'm quite happy with what I'm doing, Arti. Having all that money saved away from the game means I don't really need to worry about bills and stuff like that; I can just enjoy being a performer. That said, I have no issues cooking for friends; I enjoy it quite a bit."
When he saw Ryan speak up, the blond went quiet, glancing over, curious to see what he was going to say... Even though Pieter knew he wasn't the best at reading the mood, he could tell that Ryan was tense.

Alex couldn't help but chuckle at Swift's question, really he felt like he had all the right in the world to brag. He had been around the world doing whatever crossed his fancy. Still, if he supposed he could think of one thing that he liked in particular... "Well I've been to a lot of places I'd always wanted to see and visit prior to the Game; New York City where there's a lovely view of the entire city from atop the Empire State Building, Seattle with the Space Needle, of course. Mt. Rushmore, apparently a new president was added to it after the game reset everything... And THAT'S just stateside." He pulled out a few brochures and figurines from his void modus, hovering them about. "Outside of the states, I've visited places like Africa, the Philippines, Egypt, and as you can see here, Japan." A number of the figurines were of video game characters. "Yeah, there's a lot of great novelty shops in Japan where you can get stuff like this for a nice deal. These particular beauties I collected from Artnia; The Square Enix cafe. They have pretty good food, but they really get their money in toys, figurines, statues of various video game characters, that kind of thing."

He stuck out his tongue at the wierd look. "What? I had a lot of geek stuff to catch up on after the game ended. And with my powers, basically EVERYTHING was in my reach. I just took advantage of it." He notes Arti's look. "NOT EVEN REMOTELY WHAT I MEANT. I paid for everything fair and square."
Yep, worst thief was still worse thief.
Still, he returned his figurines when he noticed Ryan speaking up to Beth. His look of confusion was apparent as the kid reached for his pocket...
... Was this... What he THOUGHT it was going to be-?

Arti let out a noise about halfway between a snort and a chuckle at Aaron's comment. "Yer still the worst thief ya know. I shoulda been the thief. Are you sure we can't hit F5 and play the game again?" His grin turned awkward seeing the glares he was getting. "Ey I'm just kiddin'! Can't ya take a li'll bit of Biston humour?" With another snort, he shoved a whole piece of bruschetta into his mouth.
After swallowing, the dark-haired man noted Ryan's reaching into his pocket. Was it what he thought it was?
Leaning back in his chair, Arti shut his eyes. "Ryan, if you're gonna propose to Beth, don't hesitate. She'll think you don't really mean it."

"Ryan. Relax, sweetheart. I'll always here you out," Beth offered to the anxious heart player. "And Arti.... Quit ruining surprises." The girl pouted at her younger brother before punching him in the arm.

"Wow... That is one sweet collection, my man," Evan chuckled as he examined each of Aaron's figurines. "Kinda makes me wonder if we should do a little exploring ourselves, hon. Heck, this is the first time I've even set foot out of Ohio since we got back. It would be nice to..."
Much like everyone else, Evan hushed up when Ryan moved closer to Beth. He had to smile at the sight. He instantly knew what was going on. The awkwardness, struggling for the right words, trying to be discreet in pulling something out of his pocket... Been there, done that. Evan was already ecstatic, but he kept calm about it, only flinching at Arti's atmosphere-destroying quip but still silently hoping for the best.

"Ahh... That's so cool!" Swift squeed as she listened to Aaron's story and took a good look at his collection. She had to smirk at Evan's comment, playfully bumping against him and teasingly responding, "Hey, we can go anywhere we want and you know it! If you're so tired of being cooped up and writing bestsellers-to-be, why didn't ya say something sooner?"
She turned to look at Ryan and Beth, quickly recognizing the former's behavior as something she had previously seen in the man who was now her husband. She watched with silent awe, hoping that she was seeing what she thought she was seeing. That awe was replaced with annoyance as she cast a quick frown at Arti and mouthed the word "Rude," then turned her wide-eyed attention back on the man at the metaphorical center stage.

He gave Arti the most contorted, grumpy looking face he could manage. "Why'd you spoil the dang surprise," he growled. He was too frustrated to be nervous now. "Yes, it was my plan all along... I wanted to propose to you because... well, you've been really wonderful to me since the start and end of the session, and... even though I doubt I'm a good enough suitor... I wanted you to know that I think you're the perfect gal, so..."
He pulled out the box, getting on one knee as a ring with a lovely purple gemstone smack in the middle of it was revealed. "...w-would... would you marry me?"

Pieter didn't have a snappy comment to make to Arti... as Ryan spoke up, he went quiet, resting his chin on his knuckles. He didn't even seem like he was taking a breath...

The thief smiled sweetly at the sight though he couldn't help but lean forward in anticipation for the answer. Really, it made sense to propose here in some ways, now everyone could celebrate the engagement.

Arti gave a small smirk at all the comments directed at him, but opted to remain silent for the time being.
Maybe I can get 'em to hold it in Biston. Outta my own personal offers to boot!

Beth eyed her out spoken brother. "For ruining a surprise, Arti," she offered before sending a punch at the knight.

Evan had to chuckle as he observed the scene, partially because of the hit Arti received but mostly because he was just so giddy. Writer as he might've been, mere words seemed inadequate to describe the utter joy he felt for his two dear friends. "Aw, guys..."
