Pieter just chuckled. "You can find a significant other in the most unlikely of places. Trust me, I'd know that quite well. Don't lose heart, alright? C'mon, everyone. One more toast to our successes, in the past and in the future. Sounds good?"
With that, the tall blond stood, raising his glass again.

..... The Thief rubbed his head and gave Arti a hard look... Still... IT was nice to know that so many people were here for him and were ready to comfort him like this... He let out a breath and raised his cup to Pieter's toast. Honestly he felt it made sense. After a few tears of traveling, after a few years of meeting people... Maybe...
Maybe he was ready to settle down somewhere... Meet new people, join a community...
The only question now was... Where?

Arti patted Aaron's back a bit more roughly than he should have, causing the thief to sputter a bit.
"Look. We all just can't have perfect romances like Beth and Ryan, or Evan and Swift," he motioned to the couples in question with a wink. "I'm thinkin' of not goin' seriously for next term, I'm stickin' around as a third party just long enough ta fuck over this Crump guy. If you don't have anywhere else to go..."
"Why don't ya move in with me? We can be a pair of losers together!"

Beth nodded as she sat with her fiance. A small smile showed on her face as she raised an empty cup.
"Pieter... what wine would you recommend with the meal? I might as well have a little fun," she asked softly.
The back of her mind played a fuzzy memory of her and Arti at a bar in Chicago and then her waking up in her dorm room the next morning with a splitting headache that didn't go away for a week.

After raising his soda glass again alongside Pieter, Evan took a sip and continued to tell Aaron and Arti, "Hey now, to be fair, no relationship is perfect. You're not going to find the right match on the first try." He chuckled a little bit, unable to resist finishing with, "But regardless, and in the words of an old friend of mine... you'll never know if you don't ever try again."

Swift followed suit with the toast, giggling at Evan's reference. It was kind of a shame that she never got to meet this alleged Brendonsprite that helped him through the game.

Ryan smiled. "To what we've done, who we are, and who we can become!" he exclaimed, holding up his soda glass.

"Don't worry, I'll make sure folks don't get too out of hand. Besides..." Pieter levitated the bottle over. "You haven't lived till you've tried a little Chianti Riserva. Most of the food here goes well with red wine, so I just had to go all out for our celebration.
Pieter nodded, grinning as he filled Beth's glass about halfway. "And to the future that we built together. Proost!"
