When the portal deposited her here, she had been COMPLETELY caught off guard by it, not that she would ever admit that. By the looks of her orange bikini, she had been in the middle of a beach going trip. Something she rather enjoyed doing a great deal with her good friend Alphys. Still, whatever the case may be, this place was most definitely not warm, sunny, sandy or laced with the sea-foam in the air as was typical with the sea. No, this place felt cold and clammy. The air smelled somethin' awful. And the scenery?
..............
Well, actually it wasn't all that bad at all. In fact, the Fishwoman couldn't help but inwardly geek out at the sight of it. The village looked a lot like traditional villages in anime. And she did so ENJOY anime.
"Holy crap where am I?" Oh yeah. Still had no idea where she is. That was one thing she needed to keep in mind... That and what the actual HELL was that smell? UGH. It was awful. Smelt like really bad witch's brew.... ..... Well... First thing's first. She had to look around. "Alphys! Yooo Alphys!! You here? Come on out if you are!" ..... Hmmm, that would've gotten an answer if not a nervous text... So it was safe to say Alphys was not here... Or at the very least was nowhere nearby.
..... Huh. Damn this place was dead as dead could be.
Undyne was almost hoping to run into some kind of anime protagonist in a place like this....

Instead, she got the dulcit tones of Papyrus, falling from the sky as he landed face first into the dirt, an audible crack sounding as he struggled to get up. "AAAAAAAAUUUUGH! CURSE EVERYTHING AND ITS WONDERFUL NATURE!" he screamed. "SANS! A BACKYARD BARBECUE DOES NOT INVOLVE YOU LEADING YOUR BROTHER TO MYSTERIOUS HOLES IN THE GROUND!"
There was nothing but eerie silence, Papyrus blinking (somehow) at the sight of this strange village as his cracked skull mended itself. He instantly pulled free his cell phone, dialing in Undyne's number.
Only to hear her ringtone going off not even three feet from him. "OH, HI UNDYNE! I WAS JUST ABOUT TO CALL YOU TO SAY THAT THERE'LL BE COMPLICATIONS WITH TONIGHT'S COOK-OUT!" he cheered. "... WAIT. YOU WERE NOWHERE NEAR ME!!! HOW ARE YOU HERE???"

... OH... OH NO. NO NO THIS WAS JUST FANTASTIC. SHE COULD HAVE GOTTEN LITERALLY ANYBODY AND SHE GOT THIS BONEHEAD. There was a mild disappointment in her expression as she groans, crossing her arms SO DRAMATICALLY. "To hell if I know! One second I was enjoying some fer real 'quality' time with Alphys, and suddenly I fall into this dumb ole hole right out in the middle of nowhere." She remembered Alphys calling it something aking to a... Wormhole? Who the hell even KNEW really? "I just hope Alphys didn't fall down here with me. I don't see the little geek anywhere..."
Indeed, Alphys appeared to be nowhere to be found... Still Papyrus' phone mention inspired her to pull out her own and call.... Hmm, no signal... She must've been outside the coverage zone... WAY outside.
"Jeeze, where is here anyway? I've never seen a human town like this before now." Indeed, as it had turned out, the human world was actually quite advanced now, with massive cities, a wide collection of cars and hobbies... SO MUCH unlike this little place... PHEW!! There was that STANK again. "UGH... and what's with this horrible smell?? I swear I'm gonna upchuck last weeks Butterscotch pies." And she didn't want to do that. Toriel worked hard on those pies darnit!

"OR YESTERDAY'S SPAGHETTI!" Papyrus offered. He rubbed the back of his skull, looking around. "WELL, NOW THAT YOU MENTION IT, THE PLACE DOES HAVE AN ODD SMELL TO IT- LIKE SOMEONE BOILING GREASE."
This statement was important. despite lacking a stomach, Papyrus DIDN'T lack standards. He liked grease like a cat liked water. Which was to say, he didn't like grease much at all. "UUUGH, I HATE IT HERE! WHEN DO WE LEAVE???"

"Do you see any of those wierd hole thingies anywhere?" .... Papyrus likely looked around so he could properly answer that. "Well I know I sure as hell DON'T. So no we're not leaving yet..." Much as she'd LOVE to. Hopefully Alphys was still back at the beach and not... WHEREVER THE HELL THIS WAS. "So we might as well stop belly-achin' about it and start looking around. HOPEFULLY we'll find another one of those wierd hole things around." Would it have been smart to just jump into one though? After watching as much anime as she had, she wondered if just picking a hole and just jumping into it would've been all together smart. One of those could easily take her anywhere; a cave, a mountain, a LAVA POOL....
A lot of things could happen.

Like for instance, out of another hole a distance away, a young woman tumbled out, grateful to FINALLY be out of the void. God only knows how long she'd been traveling in it, listening to the voices of her friends that she let down while in the Dream Bubbles...
Only to be quickly hounded by other voices. Much more horrific voices. Voices that wanted so badly to get into her head.
Erin's eyes could only widen at the sudden intrusion before she hit the ground, twitching as she holds her head. "A-Aaaagh-!!"

"WELL THIS IS A FINE JAR OF PICKLES..." Papyrus sighed, looking straight up. "I STILL DON'T UNDERSTAND THAT EXPRESSION, BUT HEY. HUMANS SURE LOVE IT!"
He stood up on his feet, only to nearly fall again at the sound of an inhuman shrieking nearby. "WOWIE! THEY HAVE HOWLING FOR FUN HERE?? SIGN ME UP FOR SOME!" he cheered. The skeleton quickly changed his tune as he kept listening, gulping after a while. "......... THAT IS NOT THE FUN KIND OF HOWLING, IS IT."

"...." HOLY SHIT THAT DID NOT SOUND GOOD... "No.. No it did not.." Undyne had no idea why, but she was sweating nervously at this point. It was like she felt some kind of horrible presence in the distance, in the direction of the horrible howling... She couldn't really recall why, but she just had a horrible feeling that she had felt something similar before... A horrible emptiness.
A memory played out in her mind... One that wasn't hers... And yet one that FELT like hers.

Erin twitched back and forth, feeling the alien thoughts invade her head. They were wanting, DEMANDING she listen to them. She had already been ignoring them for a long long time. They were tired of being ignored. They were tired of their chosen players IGNORING THEM.

Papyrus blankly stared. "...WHAT ARE THE CHANCES IT'S JUST A BIRD OR SOMETHING? he asked. Honestly, he knew fully well it wasn't a bird- but gosh darn it, he REALLY didn't want to get involved with whatever was making that horrible noise.

Undyne's eyes widened when she heard a loud boom followed by a whistle. "GET DOWN!!!"
She was quick to tackle Papyrus-
ZOOOM!!!!!!!!!
Something zoomed by overhead, then stopped a few feet away... It had missed...... The creature then turned to them...
Undyne had no idea WHAT that thing was... But with it's gray skin and black empty eyes, she only knew one thing. Even if if looked human.. IT WASN'T. "HEQ TU JASA MU NARA WAY. KREDEQ SUUN VA!!!" The creature LAUGHED and launched herself at the two, pulling out a weapon; a steal racket.
CLASH!!!!! UNDYNE'S SPEAR BARELY CAUGHT IT... AND IT LOOKED LIKE SHE WAS BARELY HOLDING IT BACK. "PAPYRUS!!! RUN!! NOW!!!!"

The strange creature felt a sudden jabbing in its side- Papyrus had made a bone pop up from the dirt, and stretched it out from the side to jab at this new adversary. "DON'T THINK FOR THE FAINTEST SECOND I'M GOING TO LEAVE YOU ALONE WITH THIS THING!" he growled. "NOW HOLD STILL! I'M GOING TO USE MY BLUE ATTACK!!
A rampant serious of cyan bones appeared all around papyrus, the bones quickly starting to go in for a kill. The sheer NUMBER of the darn things could make a scientist question the human anatomy.

She followed Papyrus' instruction and stood absolutely still. Thankfully, the demon girl had been knocked back a couple of feet by Papyrus' saving attack. The second attack that followed, the 'Blue bones', shot out at quick speeds, phasing through her easily since she was standing still. That was the big trick with 'Blue Bones', it only affected opponents that were moving just as they were hit. Any person they hit when they were standing still would not be affected at all.
Something that obviously the monster was not privy to.
"IL NU RATEQ! MAK YWE SO NUROAY!!!" She charged clean through the blue bones-.

-Only to briefly blink blue, losing her ability to fly, and slamming into a completely solid wall of bones, keeping her from getting anywhere near Undyne. "THEY NEVER SEE THE WALL COMING!" he cheered. The wall continued to gain more bones, encircling the mad thief. "BONESTABBY TIME!"
The walls suddenly had bones jutting from them, each one poking and prodding at the sealed opponent.

Hmmm, impressive as always, Undyne had to admit. Maybe this wouldn't be as bad as she feared... STill... What was this horrible feeling in the pit of her stomach? As if she knew this was not the worst of it-?
The bones jabbed at the figure-
.... Undyne's eyes widened when the wind suddenly picked up by a LARGE margin.
WHOOOOOOOOOSH!!!!!!
Undyne and Papyrus' eyes were widened when they WATCHED ALL OF THOSE BONES VANISH INTO WHAT LOOKED LIKE A HOLE OF PURE SOLID BLACK, VANISHING INTO THE NOTHINGNESS AS IT SUCKED EVERYTHING IN LIKE A VACCUUM.
.... And the worst part? She looked relatively unharmed.
....
THE WOMAN LOOKED UP.
HER JET BLACK EYES WERE NARROWED, SHEER MURDER APPARENT.
"ASAO MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Energy blasted out of the being as she pulled out a weapon.

Papyrus jumped away as quickly as he could, his meatless bones helping for swiftness, but not much for actual speed. "I DIDN'T THINK SHE'D EAT MY BONES!!!" Papyrus screamed, tears flooding his eyesockets. "THIS. IS. NOT. GOOOOOOD!!!

The monster launched herself forward, roaring in rage as she aimed one very powerful attack directly at the very annoying, very FORGETTABLE skeleton. The steel racket swung through the air in a baseball bat swing- WHICH PAPYRUS NARROWLY DODGED THANKS TO BENDING BACK. "N-NANI- " She looked down to see Undyne had grabbed Papyrus and made him bend back, narrowly avoiding getting his head taken off. "RRRR!!!! EST NO SU KREE KACK!!!!" She swung the weapon down at fast speeds- Two lances launched at her, knocking the god-tier back a few feet. "WE'RE GONE!!! NOW!!!" She grabs on tighter to the back of Papyrus' armor and quickly took off running. The creature behind them let out more loud screeching, but didn't seem to be following them. "Hahahaha~!!!" A closer look revealed that Undyne had also frozen the beast in place. Thanks to her 'Stand your ground' ability, she had the power to freeze people in place and face off against direct punishment if need be... But now it was serving a new purpose, allowing her and Papyrus to get away. "Hang on Papyrus! It's going tibia okay~!!" She couldn't help but have a stupid grin on her face, while Papyrus was either too scared to groan or groaned anyway- A BLACK PORTAL APPEARED IN FRONT OF THEM. "-? Wha- ?" There was a long hard moment when the two found themselves in pure darkness, hearing archaic tongues somewhere in the background. When the two found themselves on the other end of it- The God-tier had reeled her weapon back ready to deal a powerful blow. "!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AACK!!!!" She tossed Papyrus away as hard as she could- BAM!!!!!! And the blow... Well it hurt. Quite a bit. She blamed being out here in beachwear, without her armor. She skipped like a stone and hit the ground hard. THUD!! "CAA-AAAGH!!!!" There was notable blood coming out of Undyne's mouth as she lay on the ground, slowly trying to push herself up. "D-Dammit!!" So they couldn't run away from this thing... |
