"Silent eh? Man you lame even fo' bein' a lowblood guppy." Orcana removed her hand from the poor girl's shoulder before stepping away, with a look of disappointment on her face. "Don't cha get it? You can't just go sittin' 'round takin' it all! I mean look at me!"
She pointed a finger to her chest, looking more smug than usual. "I mean do you reely think I'd be anybody if I was like you? Hell naw shawty! I took dem hornbeast by they... well, horns, and I made ma detractors ma bitches! And I'd say I definitely came out a'ight. You? Look at chu. You ain't nobody. Though Lagola craned her neck to look up at Orcana, she still said nothing. Her stone cold, tear-soaked expression was hard to describe. She almost looked tired. Tired of being beaten down and handed this hoofbeastmanure, sure, but also just tired of fighting, keeping quiet now as if to concede this debate to the violetblood.
But there also seemed to be the ghost of refutation in her glare, like an unspoken "you're not that awesome" from Lagola to Orcana.

"Yeah that right. Glare at me. And dry them tears guppy. They's a disgrace." Orcana then proceeded to kneel down and wipe Lagola's face...
And then lick them off her fingers. "Taste like salt. Whoever say brownbloods taste like chocolate is lyin'. See? You can't be cryin' all the muthafuckin' time! You survived them trials: MOTHERGLUBBIN' ACT LIKE IT GILL."

When Orcana reached down and touched her again, Lagola finally acted in self-defense by swatting Orcana's arm away, then springing to her feet and making a mad dash down the nearest hallway.

"Wh-Lagola!" Aquila took a few steps. "...O, I'd like to talk about this later. For now..."
With a flap of his wings, Aquila took off down the hall after Lagola.

To Lagola's credit, she was extremely quick on her feet, as in what felt like no time at all, she had sprinted clear to the other side of the base. No one else was around, thank goodness. Alone with her thoughts, Lagola slumped against a windowsill and allowed herself to succumb to the sobs that had been building up for what felt like far too long.
Stupid Orcana. Stupid trolls. Who needed them?
So what if she didn't act the part? Lagola was who she was. Why was that so hard for anyone to accept? Who said she had to fit their definition of what it meant to be a troll? She had made it this far, and she did it her way. And even after surviving the grueling physical and mental endurance test that was SGRUB, it seemed that nothing had changed. She was still just the annoying little weakling of the team. She was sick of it. She was sick of dealing with them. She was sick of trying to please them. She was sick of pretending to be something she wasn't just to stop the pain.
Lagola stared out into the void, bronze tears streaming down her cheeks and shuddering cries wracking her body. She was sick of trolls.
She blinked a few times and leaned closer to the glass. At first she swore her teary eyes were deceiving her, but the longer she looked, the more she thought she could make out the faint image of a person in the distance...

Aquila had long since stopped flying, just racing after her... by the time he finally caught up with her, he was panting, looking rather winded. "Hhh... hhh... hhh... h-holy hell, L... you can really... move..." He coughed a bit, thumping his chest. "...I'm damn impressed... never seen anyone stand up to O like that before. ...I'm sorry 'bout what she did. I've been trying to curb that, but..."
The Jadeblood glanced down. "...You probably don't care, anyway. If it helps any, I never thought ill of ya 'cause of how you were."

Lagola cringed, having not heard Aquila coming. She only cast him a brief glance before turning away again, and to her disappointment, the figure outside the window had vanished by that time.
She slumped her head against her arms, clearly out of steam and unable to provide much of a response other than a weak "Th-Thank you..."

Orcana strutted off around the opposite corner, though lacking just a touch of her usual swagger. Who knew Lagola could shut like that? T'was a pity she had to be provoked into it, but at least Orcana didn't have to put rage into her. It was almost like Lagola was a real troll now! Almost.
"Man Lagola, you hot when you angry. Me likey that side of you much betta, you oughta make it yo' real side."

Aquila was a little surprised; he hadn't noticed Orcana following him... he honestly hadn't expected it. Though... he groaned internally. He didn't think this was a good time. At all. Still, he didn't say anything. The last thing he felt they needed was another conflict like that...

Lagola said nothing. She was done talking. She just wanted to be left alone. Her eyes scanned the void beyond the window, hoping she could catch a glimpse of the figure again, hoping it was who she thought it was...

"What is all that RACKET?!"
The familiar bark preceded Sirion's arrival from down the hall. He came to a halt a few feet away from the group, and once he got a good look at Aquila, Orcana and a teary-eyed Lagola, he instantly knew what he had heard echoing throughout the lab.
"Oh, you're just being a p***y again." Sirion lowered his eyelids and turned around with the intent to go back the way he came. "Sorry I asked."

"Naw man, you here at the right time!" Orcana chirped up, making a running leap to tap the much bigger indigoblood's shoulder. She yanked his arm, and pointed towards the pitiful bronzeblood.
"I keep tryin' and tryin' to each guppy here that she ain't gon' get by on bein' a pansy!" the vain violetblood pointed towards Lagola. "But birdy here keeps defendin' her! C'mon man! You gotta have yo' fellow highblood's back! Ain't no room fo' a pussy on here!"

Aquila was, for once, getting angry. He didn't seen any point to it all, especially given that their society had all but vanished. Still, he remained quiet, though he did cover his eyes with his Seer hood, taking slow breaths.

Lagola perked up, once again petrified with fear. Not him. Please not him!
She allowed herself a slight bit of relief when it seemed that Sirion was simply going to leave, even letting his typical insult roll off her back. But her disappointment quickly returned when Orcana insisted he stay. Hearing this, Lagola turned away and rested her head in her arms, once again doing her best to shut them out. She didn't need to be reminded how Sirion felt about her...
