Lagola kept sprinting, easily picking up Sirion's furious howls. She risked a quick peak over her shoulder, by which point Sirion had rounded the corner and quickly started catching up to her. In a fit of panic, Lagola expelled some of her own time to speed herself up, charging through the hallways like a black and white blur. It was all she could think to do. Even with all of her Rogue powers, she simply stood no chance at standing up to the Bard.
She knew what would happen if she tried.
----------
Minutes in the future, and yet right now...
Just as Aquila dropped his bow and slumped in defeat, a rift briefly opened up in front of him, from out of which came Lagola. She took a moment to shake herself off, wipe her face and take some deep breaths, obviously still flustered from the experience that had and currently was happening to her. Then she sadly looked up at the Seer, bashfully wringing her jacket sleeves, finally making eye contact with him for the first time in this entire conflict.
"Hey..."

With his fangs bared and club at the ready, Sirion skated down the hallway, hovering through the air and propelling off of walls in his enraged pursuit of Lagola. It wasn't like he was going to take the time to consider why he was doing this at all; he was too furious to care. More than anything, his tantrum was perhaps the result of extreme boredom. He was fed up with having nothing to do on this rock, and as far as he was concerned, he had been subjected to this idle prison because he just had to get tangled up in this mess of a game with Lagola.
Right about now, Sirion would've gladly accepted oblivion over this dull, pointless life.
This was weeks... maybe even sweeps of pent-up aggression he had withheld and finally allowed to spring loose in all its violent glory.
With nothing more on his mind than to destroy and maybe spill some bronze blood, Sirion leaned in and picked up as much speed as he could. Tiny as she was, Lagola was a fast little bunny. It certainly made the chase much more exhilarating.

Aquila barely registered Lagola reappearing next to him... when he did, he turned his head slightly, eyes still threatening to spill jade tears. "...H-Hey..."
He'd really fucked up, he felt. His Moirail had left, and he couldn't stop this from happening. Needless to say, the jadeblood felt like a colossal fuckup at the moment.

Through the halls, up and down stairs, even making a few haphazard leaps onto transportilizers, Lagola just kept running, desperately seeking to escape Sirion's relentless wrath. She didn't dare look back. She just sprinted at impossible speeds, hoping that she could outrun the troll on zero-gravity skates. It eventually dawned on her that she could easily jump forward in time to a point where Sirion had given up the chase, but who knew when that would be?
On top of that... it didn't feel like she was meant to do that.
----------
Future Lagola, at present time, awkwardly averted her gaze and rubbed her arm. It took her a moment to come up with the right words. She was not good that this. Nonetheless, it was what she had to do.
"That... This... N-None of that was your fault, okay?" she murmured softly, looking back up at Aquila. "I-It was just a lot of tension that needed to be let out. It was bound to happen eventually."

As the duo sped down a long stretch of hallway, Sirion leaned forward, picking up the speed he needed to catch up to Lagola. Swiftly and silently he skated up behind her, reeling back in anticipation. And once he was close enough, with every ounce of ferocity he had burning through his veins...
WHAM
...he delivered a sharp blow from the spiked end of his club upside Lagola's head, slamming her into the wall and then to the floor. Sirion subsequently braked and hovered over the bronze blooded troll, reveling in the force of catharsis he had just unleashed... the sense of power and purpose that he had long forgotten.
Damn, that felt good.

"...I just wanted to try and keep this from happening." He sighed softly, picking his bow back up and putting it back in his inventory. "It's been tough. I've sorta been flying by the seat of my shorts here. I guess this was meant to happen, though. I should probably try to follow O. Last thing I want is to fuck up my Moiraillegiance, too."
The eagle troll looked at Lagola. "...I'd like to try and keep that intact at least. Are you gonna be okay?"

With a painful thud and a sickening crack, Lagola smashed against the wall and crumbled to the floor. Blood flowed from her mouth and the wound that had been torn open by the spikes of Sirion's morning star. The blunt force was enough to knock the tiny hare troll out for good, and the bronze fluid pooling beneath her still form was all the more evidence that she was down for the count.
----------
Lagola cringed when she heard the echoes of her past self's demise, but she did her best to ignore it and give Aquila a small nod. "Y-Yes, you should. You did what you thought was right, but it's just... time to move on. These events have sent us down our necessary paths. We all have things we need to and will do now." She managed a little smile. "And... I think I'll be okay. It's time for me to go too."

Sirion took a deep breath as he stared down at Lagola's body with a complete and utter lack of any emotion. Everything he had been holding in up to this point had exploded out of him in that one violent display. Now he was just jaded to the whole ordeal.
Once he had calmed down enough to think clearly, he realized that this didn't really solve anything. He might've been angry at Lagola for all the trouble she had caused him, and there might not have been many who would fault him for his actions against the lowblood, but he was still stuck in the middle of nowhere. And now that he had done everything he could do in this session, he was done wasting his time there. He was done with this pointless existence.
Without a second thought or glance, Sirion hovered off the floor and to the nearest exit, rocketing out of the lab and into the void. No more fooling around. Even if nothing mattered anymore, it didn't mean he still couldn't make something of himself.

"...Stay safe, okay?" Aquila managed to crack Lagola a small smile. "...I think you're right. I've been too afraid of change. I guess I should trust in what I don't know more..." He sighed. "...I should go, too." His white feathery wings appeared on his back. "Hope I'll see you again soon." With that, he flew out as well, heading out to who-knows-where in the void.

Sometime shortly after Sirion's departure, Lagola's limp body rose up off the floor, enveloped in a shimmering rainbow glow. The wounds and the trauma she had received quickly healed. A death neither heroic or just had been ruled, and soon enough, the Rogue of Time touched back down on the ground, completely restored, without even a brown stain or pool of blood left as evidence of her fate.
Once she had revived, Lagola was left gasping and shuddering, mortified from her brush with death, saddened that it had been caused by the same troll who first killed her, terrified of the wrath he had displayed towards her. For no reason! What had she done to deserve such a punishment?
Her knees gave out, prompting Lagola to sit down against the wall, bury her face in her legs and sob. Why did everyone hate her so much? Why did she have to stay in this madhouse?
"Lagola?"
She gasped and looked up, startled by the sudden presence. After everything she had endured, she was NOT in the mood to talk to any of these jerks ever again! But before she could make her opinion known, she realized that the person standing before her was no troll.
At first, Lagola wasn't sure what he was. He was about the same height as an average troll and even had a similar anatomy... but everything else about him was just off. His skin was pale, white as a ghost. His hair was an odd shade of brown, topping a head devoid of horns. And those wings... they were almost like Aquila's, but solid white, with real feathers, and enormous.
"Wh... Wha...?"
"It's okay, Lagola," he offered gently, getting down on his knees to meet her eye level. "I'm so sorry you had to go through all of that. Had there been another way to set these events into motion, I would have gladly orchestrated it."
"Wh... Who are you?"
He smiled a little. "It's me. Kendall."
"K-Kendall...??" Lagola's teary eyes widened and she cautiously inched closer to him. "So... You... You're the Angel of Time?"
"I am. And it's very nice to meet you in person, Lagola."
Her cheeks flushed chocolate brown. She wasn't sure what she had expected the angel to look or act like but... wow. He was actually kind of cute. And just as kind as he had always let on. "I-It's great to meet you too."
Kendall nodded, his smile widening. "I... Again, I offer my sincerest apologies. I know it's been difficult for you here, living amongst these ruffians. And... I did promise you that someday I could take you with me on my adventure... offer you sanctuary in a new world with new friends. And if you so choose, today can be that day."
Lagola's eyes grew impossibly wider as she practically threw herself at Kendall. "Yes... Yes, I would love that!"
"Heheh... Happy to help. Before we go, though... I was hoping you could do one more thing for me."
----------
It was a simple task. Kendall was hardly asking for much. At his instruction, Lagola had returned to the hallway where she had left Aquila, jumped back in time to when everyone else had departed, and proceeded to have a brief parting conversation with him. Reciting the lines that Kendall had fed her seemed to do their part to at least motivate Aquila again, and having said their peace to one another, the jade blood gave her his farewell and took off after Orcana. Lagola could only hope she had done enough to help him down his path.
"I-I will. Bye!" she called as he flew off. Alone again, she stared down at the floor and sighed, feeling somewhat dejected.
Shortly thereafter, Kendall reappeared next to her, as promised. He smiled down at the troll, then took on an empathetic frown when he saw how sad she looked. "Lagola, what's wrong? You did well."
"I feel like maybe I should've said more..." she mumbled, rubbing her arms.
Kendall smiled again, even though she wasn't looking at him. "You said exactly what needed to be said. Aquila knows you care. And like I said, he'll take good care of himself. And Orcana too."
Lagola nodded and looked up at her angel. "So what now?"
With an outstretched hand and a warm grin, Kendall replied, "Now we go help our friends."
