"Yeah, why not?" Kenny muttered as he started gathering up his and Paul's books. "This is gonna be a long enough investigation as it is..."
Somehow, Kenny managed to lift the entire stack of books at the cost of obscuring his vision and weighing him down. Nonetheless, he proceeded to hop off his chair and start walking away. "Nice talking to ya-"
Not five seconds later, he collided with a bookcase, causing him to lose balance and collapse under a pile of books, both his and a few that had fallen off the shelves. He laid still for a moment, but eventually he propped himself up on his arms and smiled sheepishly at Forsaken. "I'm alright."
CRASH
And then, in accordance to Murphy's Law, the entire bookcase came crashing down on him.

"You bastards...!" gasped a young trans woman who was sitting not to far from Forsaken. She wasn't exactly sure why she said it or who she was even trying to place the blame on. She just did it out of obligation, if nothing else.
Plus, that kid's friend looked familiar. Of course, it was kind of hard to mistake a blue guy with a tail for something else...

Out of concern, Harley got up and went to help, and eventually the two got the boy out from under the shelf. As expected, Kenny had been effectively crushed, and his lifeless eyes were proof enough that he wasn't shaking this one off.
"Holy crap..." Harley choked up, mortified by the sight of the dead kid.

Harley nodded and stayed by Kenny's side, doing her best to ease her rattled nerves by putting the books back on their shelves. She had to stop and stare at the ones that didn't belong in his particular bookcase, namely the ones Kenny had been carrying. Why was this kid reading H.P. Lovecraft?
