Chrys happily stood waiting with Toby
as the lights on the old marquee lit up with the names of the showing movies.
"So this is where everyone went to hide. Huh. Guess the movie selection is really good this weekend," she offered with a smile.

"Looks like it!" Toby mused, stepping forward once they were at the front of the line for the box office. "Two for Creed, please."
In a swift exchange, Toby paid for and was given their tickets, then he stepped aside and smiled back at Chrys.

"Apparently it borrows a lot from the first Rocky, using the series as a stepping stone but managing to be great in its own right," Toby summarized. "He was pretty impressed by Sly's performance, and we both liked Michael B. Jordan in other movies. Quite a few moments where he got really excited and really emotional. So yeah, it's gotta be good!"

"Well, popcorn's pretty much the go-to at the theater. I'm fine with a bottle of water. Wouldn't mind splitting one." Toby browsed the selection of candy available at the concession stand. "Ooh, and maybe some Raisinets."

"Cool." Toby nodded and looked around. Despite the crowd, he had to wonder how many people would be sharing a screen with them. Creed had been out for a while now, after all; most of these moviegoers were probably here to see more recent releases.
He wasn't really sure why he bothered to ask himself that. So he pushed those thoughts aside and just stood happily by Chrys's side.

"Do let's," Toby replied as they made their way down the hall and into the appropriately labeled theater. As he had surmised, there were only about four or five other people already seated in the theater, most of them in the lower tiers.

Chrys noticed this too. "So where to sit?" She asked as she followed him into the theater.

"Hmm..." Toby led Chrys up the stairs, stopping a few rows down from the top, then he moved to the middle seats and gauged his view of the screen. "This should be good. Work for you?"

"Perfect for me," Chrys offered as she followed. She offered Toby his water and raisinets.

"Thanks." Toby accepted his snacks, opening them but not starting into them quite yet. Looking back and forth between Chrys and the screen, he murmured, "Been a while since I've been in an actual movie theater. Heh... All over the place today, aren't I?"
