Captor looks to Weiss. A silver circle lights beneath her feet. Then, his brows turn up, a sympathetically sad smile in place.

"Unfortunately so. You will be situated on another plane of existence from them. The only connections are checkpoints, which are far from easy to reach. Through these checkpoints, you can converse with your family freely. Of course, your journey will be broadcasted, so they'll see you as you go. However, as one of your questions asked to me upon a summoning, you may speak briefly with a family member or friend in the other world. Please consider this when making your final decision."

He then looks to Bayonetta. A deep blue circle lights beneath her feet. He raises a brow, and gives a bemused smile.

"Yes, Duadi is quite akin to a game - in mechanics, that is. I would more call the experience itself an adventure - a quest. But for one of your prestige and experience... 'game' is not far fetched. But you won't be unchallenged, I assure you."

To Wario. A purple circle lights beneath his feet. Captor tilts his head, lips pursing a bit.

"Yes, there is a reward. When you drop out of the game, you keep all treasure you earn or purchase save weaponry, armor, and Epic or Legendary tier magical items. If you complete the game, you may keep EVERYTHING you have on your person at that end, as well as all new powers you have gained. Some might also say that the infamy gained from such adventures is its own reward. All of Nexus Island is watching, after all."

Lastly, to Shawna. A light blue circle lights beneath her feet. Captor simply... nods to her, slowly.

"Understood. My only advice for you is to not underestimate yourself, Shawna. All four contenders are on even ground in all but self perception."

Weiss looked back to her teammates, who each had little flags with her sigil on them. Weiss gave the trio a small smile as Ruby flashed a large grin and two thumbs up.

"KICK SOME BACKSIDE, WEISS!!!" Yang yelled. Thankfully she had remembered that this was a live broadcast.

The heiress couldn't help but blush and laugh at the comment from the boisterous blonde.

Her gaze looked to Shawna as her laughter stopped. "Just be yourself. You can't go wrong," She offered.

Bayonetta chuckled, tossing her head back as the circle glowed beneath her. "That's good to hear. I wouldn't want to get bored now~"

The witch seemed barely bothered by the whole situation. "Indeed." She looked over at Shawna. "You're a superstar, darling. We'll put on a hell of a good show."

Wario gave an excited, hearty laugh, part of the crowd roaring in excitement. "Normally, I'mma not one for partners," he offered, that permanent toothy grin growing all the more present. "But if we'a need to work together to get through this big ol event, then I'mma more than willing to put my personal views aside. It's more fun when it's easier!"

Most would probably think Wario was acting out of character- but he has accepted help in the past, odd as it seemed. For an event like this, hindering the others meant he was putting himself at greater risk, so there was literally no point to it.

At Weiss and Bayonetta's comments of encouragement, her anger just roils. 'Just be yourself'? To be fair, there's probably not a more incendiary, condescending phrase in the language of man. Just be herself? Yeah, because she was being a potato instead, thanks for bestowing such vast wisdom, she'll start being herself now.

As pissed as she is, nothing on her face really betrays it besides a slightly more set brow, a minor thinning of the lips. She's getting really good at the whole hiding emotions thing.

But she does give the host this look like, 'thanks so much for that, like really, bang-up job there'. Thanks so much for indirectly having these strangers shower her with sugary non-encouragements. Thanks. And like, now she has to deal with this crap, for a month, or more maybe. This is gonna go just swell.

She crosses her arms, and doesn't say anything else. She doesn't have any like, cool sentences to say, or anything. Wario's was pretty cool and uh, she probably can't top it. Just get this show on the road, before anyone pushes any more of Shawna's buttons.

He turns away, so he's facing none of the contenders. He's quiet for a beat. Then he continues.

"This is your last chance to back out until the First Checkpoint, contenders. If you do not believe yourself capable of the trials before you, by all means, abandon ship. None will shame you for it - the choice is all yours."

"I'm in," Weiss offered. She was honestly more concerned when Shawna seemed to shut them out. You don't think the rest of us are nervous about this too? she thought as her eyes travelled to her new teammates.

Bayonetta smirked "Bring it, darling." Every ounce of the woman's posture screamed confidence.

Wario happily gave a laugh. "Let's Rock and roll!" he happily cheered. Let's see how far I can get in this one...

"Yeah, let's get this show on the road." Just get it over with. She's up for it, truly, but that doesn't mean she's going into this to enjoy it. But she'll go through with it, for the sake of obstinacy alone. Seems she's treating it more of as an endurance test.

Though her expression is stoic, her posture betrays how she's shutting out. Shoulders set, arms folded in politeness rather than defiance. Spine straight, rather than her normal casual slouch. Chin level, stance thin with legs parallel, no tilt to her hips or cocked knees.

If it wasn't obvious, she's going to be an issue.
