(Song for this moment www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/63596Boy this track hasn't been brought back in a while.) Shinichi looked at Masahiro and smiled softly. "I'm glad you made it when you did... I tried to stop her myself, but she overpowered me... I'm so sorry, Masahiro... I..." Suddenly the sound of a sword being drawn and stabbing through someone could be heard. Shinichi's breath was halted as he looked down to see Masahiro's blade through his heart. He looked back up at his twin's face to see no hint of remorse or regret in his eyes whatsoever. "You put Double D's life in danger once again... You're a bad angel, Shinichi... And exile is too good for you... so I'm taking justice into my own hands and ending your existance for good... Goodbye... brother." The words snarled through his teeth, Masahiro twisted his sword and ripped it out. The fallen fell towards the ground. Soft memories of the times that Masahiro and he used to have played through his mind. He saw his life flashing before his eyes. He noticed the vision of Double D become blurry as he fell. "I'm so... sorry... Edward..." "I've... failed... you..." Shinichi's soul leaving his body, Masahiro raised the blade above his head and brought it down in a cleaving motion. The usual scream of a soul being destroyed echoed in the room, most likely hurting Nida's ears, but it definently caught the attention of those like Trevor, Shine, Minato, and even Felix. "... ... ... Wha... What have you done...?" Felix seemed choked. |

"Wh-what was that!?!"
Losing his demeanor, Double D swiveled back to watch as Masahiro exterminated his former Guardian Angel. Despite everything that had happened, despite all the suffering he went through because of the Fallen, a sharp pain still struck at his heartstrings.
"Sh...Shinichi!! UNH!!"
"Double D!!" Eddy growled in frustration, as that stupid spider queen, hardly detered, had taken advantage of the distraction and struck her claw at him, knocking him back. When she tried to stagger his way, the Super Child of Speed swept across a few of her feet, causing her to trip and buy more time. "FOCUS, man!!"
Perceval had his hands covering his mouth in dreaded shock. Slowly, he looked back up at Masahiro. "...M...Masi...why...?"

Masahiro noticed Edward get knocked back and he grimaced. "Question my motives later, you fool! That monster won't wait for you!"
"..." Felix felt himself move back into position and turned to face Nida again. "Then I'll do this quickly... time for you to suffer the same fate as Shinichi, you wench." His sword began to glow orange and he charged out at Nida. "The minute I strike you, your soul will leave your body. From there it's just one more attack until your existance is rendered forfeit!"

"NO!" Dolphi cried, turning away from the fight at the sound of Shinichi's soul being obliterated. The extermination of a soul was completely unheard of. Obliterating a soul caused it to lose all chances of redeeming itself. Destroying its chances at reincarnation. Destroying a chance at a new life.
And as "evil" as Dolphi was, it was the one thing that could set him off.
"Why the hell did you do that?! He could have been reborn a human! He could have lived a new life! There was no reason to destroy his soul!" Dolphi screamed. "What the fuck kind of reason did you have to do that!?"

"Quesiton!? I didn't ASK you to destroy him!" Double D leaped above Nida, striking a light-enveloped fist across Nida's face. "I wanted to TALK to him!!"

"He was incompetent!" Masahiro shot back. "There's only so many times you can endanger someone's life, especially the life of the one you are supposed to protect! If anything, I had to do it because he could also endanger Marion! As her guardian angel, it's my duty to make sure she doesn't get injured!"
"... Like you loved me," Felix muttered.
"What?"
Felix looked angry now as he suddenly threw his sword, orange glowing as it was, at Masahiro, catching off guard. His eyes widened as he expected a hit, but it missed him by a hair.
"You began acting this way during the times you loved me! Anything that endangered me or hurt me had to die! You sold your soul to kill Good when she was innocent of many of the crimes you accused her for!"
Masahiro managed to shake off the shock. "This is not the time! We have to deal with..."
"When you came back, I remember I outcasted you and didn't trust you. I thought you were still a monster. The others began to convince me into trusting you again, but... It looks like they were wrong! You're still the monster you were so long ago, the same bastard that raped me, the same godforsaken, damned, accursed being that you were under Shagrath!"
The shock returned. After the verbal assault, Masahiro was left stunned. The sword he killed Shinichi with dropped from his hands as they numbed over. And yet Felix continued speaking.
"We were all there for you. There was no reason for this because we were there for you... Especially Perceval! Out of all of the hearts you've broken, you damned monster... You're a disgusting sight to behold... No... You're the most disgusting thing on the face of the entire world! Get out of our sight! Go away and never come back! I will NEVER forgive you! I curse YOUR wings black the same way you cursed Shinichi's!"
Lightning struck near Masahiro as his wings began to turn a darker color. His eyes widened as he looked into Felix's eyes and saw no trail of remorse, regret, or anguish... only satisfaction, joy that he had avenged the destruction of his nemesis.
"God... I really hope Double D never ends up this tempermental," Trevor muttered to himself, backing away from the scene with a vivid look of horror on his face.
"These are supposed to be the holy creatures of God? What tripe," Shine muttered. "They're just sick, mentally incapacitated children."

"Agreed," Dolphi said, turning away. "I may not be a 'good guy', per say, but I have gone through the system! There's plenty of chances to redeem oneself... and it wasn't like Shinichi's Wisp could sustain itself on the Island anyways." Somehow, the Dimensional Island kept souls of a lower level than Archghost from sustaining themselves there, and Shinichi would have faded away to the afterlife on his own anyways.
But destroying his soul... becoming a Fallen was too soft on Masahiro. At least, that was what Dolphi thought.
"Oh, shut up!" Hammy said to the Wizard. "I don't care what kinda pandimensional being or god that you are, if you can make comments about souls that easily, then I think you should pay a visit to Hel."

Gantz, whom was equally surprised by what had occured, was mometarily thrown for a loop. As was Otto and Wally.
"Still mate!" Wally said, getting to his feet, "That was uncalled for!!!"
Gantz quickly made a movement tracing a cross on his chest, a movement meaning 'Oh mighty god, have mercy on him'; a motion that was meant for Shinichi... AND Masahiro. Quickly, he turned to Double D, "If you can handle miss Spider Queen, I'll handle the 'Fish monger' here!" With that said, he turned to Dolphi, pulling out his sword 'Eclipse'...
Immediately, Soul Calibur took control once more, as Gantz's eyes and the mark on his right wrist glowed bluish green. "Are you ready for a fight? I will not hold anything back."
"We don't have to fight if you don't want to though. Personally, I have a friend waiting for me to return at a house not too far away from this place. He's probably getting worried that I haven't come back yet." Gantz's soul said along with her.

"I don't have time for you." The Wizard hissed upon noticing something of great concern; Danukas was missing. "You idiots distracted me. Do you have any idea what's going to happen now?
"Sveikinimai visiems, milady." Danukas grinned-- his trademark expression. While the Wizard was distracted with Hammy and Dolphi, the sorceror had escaped ahead to the battlefield. He knew that the Crawlers in the Dark needed Eddward dead, or at least...
"I don't suppose you'd consider a hasty retreat?" Danukas asked Lady Nida, a touch of etiquette in his voice. He had opened a portal behind him which lead to the Crawlers' base. The cost, being the flesh of the sickly, was well worth it.

(MAN, Felix, are you the one for intense drama. I was hoping this would have ended on a happier note, y'know? Just for once.
Is there a way we can get Masahiro to regain his wings? And how does Felix have the power to make Masahiro a Fallen anyway!? Wouldn't that mean Double D would have the power to REVERSE that, perhaps?
I'm going to say so, because he IS the Angel of Light.)
"N...NO!"
A glowing hand reached out and gripped Masahiro's wrist, and the discoloration of his wings halted, beginning to pale again. The angel would surely be surprised to see Double D, straining to use his his new power to stop the Falling. Perceval could only watch with wide eyes.
With this distraction, an injured Nida nodded towards Danukas. "...wE... dOn'T haVE a ChOIce..." she hissed, stumbling into the portal behind him.
"She's getting away!!" Eddy exclaimed, as he was about to give chase before Ed held him back.
"No, Eddy! Let 'em go!"
"Right," Fleetfoot agreed. "Who knows where they're heading, probably a home base.... we can take them on later."
Attention swiveled back to Double D once he had let go, gasping in release. Masahiro's wings were white again.
Once he had regained his breath, he turned, very slowly, to face his lover.
"...Felix..." he started softly, hoping he wasn't too angry. "I don't agree with killing just as much as you, but... Masahiro does have a point. If he was a danger to me, he would surely become a danger to Marion... to you... to anyone!" He paused. "...I doubt I could've said anything to him to change that. It was his own choice."
He glanced at Masahiro next, quite firmly. "But Felix is right, too. I cannot allow you to destroy everyone would could possibly pose as a threat. Shinichi I understand, but... that habit stops right here, right now." He lifted his glowing hand. "Felix cursed your wings, but I lifted the curse because I'm willing to give you another chance, partly for Percy's sake as well. As his Guardian Angel, I have a responsibility to look out for his best interests, and that means protecting your relationship as best as I can."
He took a step closer, his gaze not wrathful, but certainly intimidating.
"However... if you continue down this path, I will have no choice but curse you again. Do you understand?"

Dolphi watched the angel's wings turn back to normal, and then turned back to Gantz. "Oh, you wanted to fight? Sorry, but I've got an empire to build. I only came here on a favor, that was all, and that's all it will be. And besides..." He glanced down at Gantz's hand. "I don't deal with Overshadowers. Just Wisps, Ghosts, and Archghosts, and bastard bats, but that's another story."
But even after saying that, he whistled. The zombie fish Fishhook ran back up, wielding his fishhook.
"Fishhook, you and Hammy can disembowel this guy instead. I'm goin' on ahead..." Dolphi said, yawning. "I gotta plan my next move anyways..."

(I just like drama before happy endings. I believe in the calm after the storm effect; a lot of drama and sadness before the actual happy ending. Movies such as the Land Before Time and An American Tale are a example of this effect. Both shows are a slaughterhouse of sadness and tear-jerkers until you finally achieve your happy ending. Any angel that curses another angel with that does it usually out of anger for them. Sometimes they turn into a fallen themselves for bestowing another with that curse, however, and it all depends on the reason for doing it. If it's for petty vengeance, the curse definently strikes the one giving it as well. However, in destroying a soul that was not pure evil, despite what the others thought of him after what he did, Felix's claims of the curse on Masahiro were justified, which is why his own wings did not start turning black The reason I said we had to continue the thread with King after this is because King's going to beat some sense into Masahiro. The former emo wants to make sure no one ends up like he was after all. And all my characters tend to be emotional anyway. I don't think I've ever had a happy character that started out happy and remained happy throughout the entire story. And this was one of the biggest thoughts I had. It's a little convenient, but sure he can do that. Anything to keep Masahiro from becoming truely evil, I suppose. But my original plan was to have King's care for his friends and Perceval's care for Masahiro to combine as some trigger effect to bring his wings back.) Felix looked angry, but could not bring himself to yell at the one he loved. Besides that, his anger began to diminish as he saw the look of pure realization and dread on Masahiro's face, proving that even if his curse didn't take, the angel realized what he had done and what a monster he could be. "... ... ... What have I done?" Looking down at his own hands, his own anger and sense of duty wiped away by almost becoming cursed, he realized the severity of what he had just done. "... You're right, Felix... I am a monster... Nothing was worth the destruction of one's existance... In my anger, I forgot that... I am not fit to walk amongst you." With that, he turned and began to walk away. Finding that Masahiro had begun to admit everything, however, the Twilight angel found himself unable to stay angry at Masahiro. Not only that, but the personality change caused by the Twilight energy infused within him was starting to fade as the energy did and Felix found himself becoming the kind, sweet angel he usually was again. "Wait... I didn't mean that... I know you only meant to protect my daughter, Edward, and the others..." "No... you were right to distrust me after all. I was originally made to be nothing but good again, without an evil thought... but my sense of duty turned me mad. Shinichi had threatened Marion's safety and security with these actions. If anything bad were to happen to Edward, it would negatively effect her. To that accord, I am as bound to him as I am to Marion... and thus I became a monster in this one action to protect you both... but was it really worth it? Even if his existance had continued to threaten us, he was still my brother... and still one of God's souls. It was truly unjust to judge him... it was not my place to destroy him like that... So... I'm sorry." "Masahiro... Where are you going?" Felix asked. "As far away from you as possible... as far away from all of you as possible... if I were to conceive any of you as a threat to Marion's safety, I might very well do the same thing... I don't know if I'd be able to control myself. That's why I have to go away... For your sake... and for Percy's sake as well." "Don't do this, Masahiro... It would only be worse on him..." "Better for him to live his life safely then to risk it with me," Masahiro said and then dissapeared into the darkness. "I'm sorry Perceval," he said before he truely dissapeared. "I do love you... I just..." And then he was gone. "... ... ... What have I done?" Felix muttered to himself. "Oh come on, one angel turning emo is enough!" Trevor said. "Double D, could you at least smack some sense into your beloved before he does the same?!" "I'M NOT GOING TO LEAVE, JACKASS!" Felix yelled, probably causing a little shock. But then his anger dropped back to sadness. "I just can't believe I yelled at him like that... The Twilight Energy does more then just increase my power, doesn't it?" "The minute the energy faded, I did notice a shift in your aura," Shine replied. "The aura turned a brighter light... perhaps you're not as pure when you power yourself with that energy... and you, too, tried to destroy Nida's soul and Masahiro's inadvertently when you were infused with it." "... Then that settles it then... Even if I remain weak, I must never use this energy again," Felix said. "If it's influence would cause me to do and say such things... then it would be better for me to never use it again." He looked at Perceval and frowned. "I'm so sorry, Perceval... I didn't mean to cause this... I truely didn't mean to cause this." (Don't worry... there will be a happy ending and this is the last emo moment Masahiro should have ever... planned from me anyway.) |

Well, it's fine, Masi can still have a little emo time. XD We can make your idea work just fine. You just gotta TELL me when you have an idea! XD Communication, man!
Yeah, I figured he could do that, being the Angel of Light and all, a special angel, anyways. He'll have his flaws, I just gotta figure 'em out for certain. XD I'm thinking dark energy would dampen his powers at least a little, if not more dramatically due to his affinity.)
"Masahiro, wait!" Though he lifted the curse, there was nothing he could do to stop the angel from leaving. He slowly lowered his outstretched hand, then his gaze when he caught a light sob.
"...M...Masi... Je ne comprends pas..." Perceval trembled, tears running down his face as he glanced up at his Guardian. "...ou...où va-t-il? P-pourquoi...il est si triste...?"
"Il... regrets ses actions," Double D softly replied, bringing an arm around his shoulders for comfort. "Il a juste... besoin de quelque temps seul en ce moment..."
"......" After the gesture, Percy turned and buried his face in the angel's shirt, quietly sobbing.
Nearby, Ed was on the verge of tears too. "Awww... Percy..."
"Let 'em be, Ed," Eddy grabbed him by the jacket and yanked them away, gesturing to Gantz and his enemies. "This guy might need some help."

I had it all planned out, and I probably should've told you, but I have a bad habit of thinking people would just follow along. Communication is not my strongest forte.) |
