"Well, no, you didn't... you didn't actually state your female-ness either, for that matter." Yuusuke noted.
"To answer your question, he SEEMED to be attacking alien-boy over there. Was just trying to help out." Yuusuke responded, deciding to take the various questions in order. It was more... orderly.
"Well, when Kurama took the form of Shuuichi Minamori, he became really attached to his human mother. And when I helped him prevent her death... yeah..."

"Attacking?" Aby looked at Vlad and then at Rah-boy, "What happened while I was asleep?" her look at Rah-boy was rather accusatory.
Suzu thought for a moment. Kurama wasn't one for sentimentality, but the few things he supported he was rather... devoted to. He found it ridiculous but it didn't seem like a good idea to challenge. And he had a feeling it would take to long to ask for an explanation as to how the boy saved Kurama's human mother.
"Is that your sword? It seems drawn to you," Ginger said as she reached the group.
Suzu turned towards the woman, "Yes. It's for this Suzaku tried to kill me. It was used to seal me..."
Ginko's eyes widened, "Wait, that would mean..."
Ginko didn't finish her thought, it was pretty apparent what she was thinking. Suzu paused, "Are you trying to say you pulled this out?"
The blue-haired woman nodded and Suzu's entire mannerisms changed, "Then you must accept my apology for the damage I caused you," he didn't seem happy about it, but there was a level of near-human sincerity in his voice, "If you'll allow me, I'd like the chance to repay you."
(OOC: And stopping here so Yuusuke has a chance to react to all of this. XD)

"Well, he was... digging around in his pockets, I guess. Probably looking for food or somethin'." Yuusuke responded. At least all the drama was over...
When BAM. SOMETHING ELSE FOR HIM TO BE ALL DRAMATIC-YUUSUKE OVER.
"SEE? I TOLD YOU BAD THINGS WOULD HAPPEN IF YOU KEPT THE SWORD. BUT NOOOOOO." Yuusuke rant-yelled.
"Is he... always this whiny?" Rax'aar questioned.

"I don't know this Suzaku you two speak of, but it would seem we did a favor," Ginger paused and critically looked at Yuusuke, "You know, you're the one that kept insisting he was Suzaku," back to Suzu, "Please don't feel the need to repay any kind of debt."
Suzu shook his head, completely ignoring Yuusuke as he ranted, "I must. Please, allow me to travel with you. I promise I'll leave you when my debt is repaid."
"Vlad, what the hell were you doing, digging through his pockets?"
"Umbreon!" ("He was teasing me!")
There was no way Yuusuke would take Suzu's suggestion well. At the rate they were going, they were going to be a small army before they even left the graveyard... although it was rather comparable to his old group. Aby to Kuwabara, Ginger to Kurama, Suzu to Hiei, and Rah-boy as an annoying third wheel... perhaps Botan?

"...bah. Fine. He can come along with us on our presumably long and arduous journey, but when I actually start to figure out what some of those words I just said mean, I'll change my mind." Yuusuke stated, crossing his arm in a semi-angry pose.
"...we're missing our old lady Genkai. And then the team would be complete." Yuusuke noticed. The irony of the situation wasn't entirely lost on him.
"Hey, it's not my fault this guy looks a lot like Suzaku... if anything it's YOUR fault."
Yeah. He was blaming Ginger for the fact that Suzu resembled Suzaku.

"Out of respect for the kyuubi, I'll ignore that jab. But I will repeat, Suzaku copied me."
"My name is Ginger, but in this form I go by Rei Ginko" she sighed. It was up to her for introductions, "He is the Spirit Detective, Urameshi Yuusuke. Half of his comments seem to be pulled out of thin air, I have no idea who this Suzaku is or why he looks like you," she turned to Aby, Vlad, and Rax'aar, "You are?"
"Ruby Akai, Aby for short. He's Vlad, an Umbreon," she glared at Yuusuke, "Not a yokie or whatever you call it. He's... got a name I can't pronounce. Just call him Rah-boy, its easier."
"Spirit Detective? What's that?" Suzu raised an eyebrow. It sounded fishy. Aby scowled that he had gotten the chance to ask first.
Well, in Suzu's defense he'd been sealed for over a century. Even Yuusuke's predecessor had come after his sealing. It was rather humorous how out of the loop Suzu was.

"I'd explain who Suzaku is, but it would BLOW YOUR FRIGGIN MINDS." Yuusuke said offhandedly. He wasn't COMPLETELY serious... but serious enough, at least.
"A Spirit Detective is basically a mediator. We keep the peace between the demon world and the human world. yes. I keep peace. If one of you laughs at that, I'm kicking your ass." Yuusuke responded.
"Actually, my name is Rax'aar Nosurname, criminal in the cosmos. I've been convicted of murder, see, and-" He wasn't able to FINISH, however, as a burst of laughter from Yuusuke cut him off.
"You... murder...? BAHAHAHAHAHAH!"

So many thoughts ran through Aby's head. Mediator? If this was his example of mediating, she didn't want to see peace talks. She heard his warning, so she didn't get a full peal of laughter, but a raspberry sound escaped her lips as she tried not to. A few tears streamed down her face as she tried to keep it in. It mostly succeeded.
Suzu raised an eyebrow, "They've changed tactics. They used to just handle the clean up. Whether it was needed or not. Is that King Enma still in charge?" He said the name of the ruler like it left a foul taste in his mouth, but it wasn't a full out insult.
"I'm afraid I don't know much about all that. I just handle the ferrying of souls to the realm of the dead..." said Ginger.
Suzu turned. She was a spirit guide? That was all? She sure put off a lot of energy for that. It was also quite uncharacteristic of the spirit realm to send a demon to do such a job, what with their general antagonism towards the demon realm, "You said your name was Ginger? I'm not familiar with that name. How old are you?"
"I stopped keeping track after a few millenia, actually..."

"Yeah. Though, he HAS had a son. Koenma." Yuusuke responded to Suzu. He LIKED being the one with most information at the moment.
Made him feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
"So THAT'S what a spirit guide's actual job is. Without being annoying as hell..." Yuusuke whispered the last part under his breath so as not to offend Ginger. He was speaking more on Botan than anyone.
Or Koenma, for that matter.

Suzu blinked, "That's odd. At that age I would have expected to have heard about you." He seemed to be completely ignoring Yuusuke at this point.
"I don't know about all this spirit world nonsense, but Rah-boy and I have come to the conclusion this isn't our home world. You probably don't know about her because you two come from different worlds," Aby paused, "I mean, above and beyond the demonic realm or whatever. I have no idea how all these worlds are connected. Never was much into researching Palkia."
Aby had pulled off one of her pokeballs as she talked, and she withdrew Vlad in. Despite his attempts at being the knowledgable center of attention, it was like no one was even aware Yuusuke was there.

...and oddly enough, the lack of attention made him rage, ever so slightly. Perhaps it was because, for once, he knew what he was talking about. Perhaps it was because his enlarged ego wasn't being fulfilled. Perhaps he just had a lot of latent aggression. In any case, Yuusuke preeeetty much exploded.
"HEY, DON'T IGNORE ME YOU BASTARDS! I'M GIVING VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION HERE AND THIS ISN'T A TIME TO IGNORE ME! ARE YOU EVEN LISTENING?!"
"It was actually I that came to that conclusion, I believe. I have, although, surmised that this entire location may just be a dimension in the MIDDLE of every other dimension... if that makes sense." Rax'aar cut in.

Aby glared at Rah-boy, "Excuse me, who came up with it? I'm the one that said neither of us might be on our planet. You whipped out that gizmo of yours after I suggested that!"
"The only thing you've said that I didn't know is about spirit detectives. I already knew about Koenma, although if King Enma is getting humans to do his dirty work, it sounds like a lot of years have passed. What year is it in the human realm, now? I assume they are still using the same system."
Ginko winced. Yuusuke got a little violent when he raged, "Urameshi-kun, calm down. Its not that we don't appreciate your input," althoug with the way the situation was falling apart it wasn't that convincing.
(OOC: I checked up on this. The year that YYH was originally released in collected format was late '93. So if you wanted to argue that the release of the manga roughly coincided with the year in the YYH world, 1993 seems a fair approximation for Yuu to quote.
Sides, the contrast with Ginger and Aby's year might be lulzy. XD)

"It's 1993 in the human world. When ELSE would it be? 2000?" Yuusuke chuckled at his subtle humor.
YK2 paranoia and all. At least, from what he'd heard, in America. Meh, the joke is RUINED if the author if this post puts logic into play. Shush.
Poor fourth wall. Someone should take the poor creature to the spirit world already.
"Okay, fine. I'll admit, you may have presented your idea before I backed it up with science. There." Rax'aar pointed out.

Ginger and Aby dropped whatever they were thinking about and turned towards Yuusuke. Suzu seemed a little surprised by the quoted year as well.
"1993?" he sighed, "Well, that makes it over two hundred years I've been sealed. That Suzaku bastard is lucky you killed him," Suzu muttered to himself, "No wonder the spirit realm has changed so much."
Aby blinked, "1993? You're kidding, right? I hope your world uses a different calander than mine does. Its 2009 where I come from. Hey, Rah-boy, does your world use an AD and BC calender system?"
Ginger paused, "Its 2009 in my world as well. But why is the year 2000 humorous?" she seemed to be the only one who had caught Yuusuke's chuckling.
"Demon realm has probably forgotten I even exist..." Suzu was muttering to himself at this point.

"Yes, my world uses a similar system to yours. By my count, it's about 3009 where I come from..." Rax'aar responded.
"Whaaaaat? Where I come from uses the same calendar system, yeah. Are you SURE you read your calendar right?" Yuusuke asked, eyes squinted.
"Y'know, Y2k? In 2000 the world's supposed to end and all that? Don't tell me I'm the only one that knows that."
"...because it'll 'piss you off', right?" Rax'aar questioned.
"Yeah. Exactly."
