(OOC: Yet another thread for just me and Mugenginga. If you want to join, you need a lot of knowledge of Shin Megami Tensei in general, especially Devil Survivor for this thread. Just PM me or Mugen if you want to join, and we can discuss it among ourselves.)
After a rather long walk, Midori and Kaini made it to the hotel, which Midori had decided was a good idea to take Kaini too, since he didn't exactly have anywhere to stay. After all, he'd just been dropped on the island that day.
"...I'm sorry we couldn't do anything about Keiichi-kun," Midori said to Kaini. K1 hadn't reacted well at all to finding out he had a twin, especially one with opposing viewpoints like that. "Do you have any money or anything like that? You can get a hotel room here and stuff, though apparently the hotel's kinda weird."
Though Midori hadn't actually experienced any of the weird stuff, she'd heard about other people who had. Like this one guy who always woke up on the roof for some reason...

K2 looked extremely pained, "I don't want... I might have to kill him if I can't save him..."
He didn't seem in the most talkative of moods. You know, between his self-righteousness and apparent lack of social skills, it was likely painful for Midori as well. He was an awful lot like Keisuke, after all. He looked at the hotel, "I've only got a few dollars. Mom was really depressed about the Lockdown thing and forgot to give me my allowance. I didn't press it..."
And now I know why she was depressed. Could this have been avoided had I known?

"Oh..." Midori sighed. "I guess you can stay in my room until you get some more money, then... b-but no going through my things!" It wasn't like she had much for him to go through (or much in the way of cash either), but Kaini needed somewhere to stay, after all. She wasn't going to throw him out on the street.
As for his first response, she didn't want him to kill K1 either, but K2 may have no choice but to... this sucked.

Kaini blinked. Okay, he knew she hadn't meant it that way from her response, but maybe that was asking too much, "I'll... I'll be fine. You don't have to go that far..." he muttered. His mom didn't even let him take girls to his room to hang out, and now one was asking him to spend the night in a likely cramped hotel room?
"I mean... I've probably got to train. I've only got an angel with me... how does that work, anyhow? You've got a COMP. You use angels too, right?"
Please say you do. Please don't turn out to be some psychotic demon worshipper...

Midori nodded. "I use angels, goddesses, demons, mascots, you name it! Have you ever heard of Jack Frost? The mascot for that one soda company? He's a demon too!" Midori said. Of course she was oblivious to the fact that K2 didn't mean that at all.
This was going to be a fun night.

K2 was caught between a twitch and a sigh. That... had answered his question. Not in the way he wanted, however. But he knew now he couldn't stay in the same room as her. She didn't differentiate. Which.. was really bad. He sighed and turned away. He was actually really depressed by this, "I-I'll be fine by myself. Thank you for your help."
He began walking away, probably a little fast for politeness. He just hoped she didn't follow him. He needed sleep. And to talk to that angel about his options...

Midori followed after. "W-Wait! You can't go out there! There's no where to sleep, and it's still raining!" Midori said. "And plus, Seta-kun said that bad things happen when it's foggy outside, and it's supposed to get foggy tonight!"
She was really only going off of what miniscule things she knew from the events over the past week or so. And Souji didn't like the fog for some reason.

"I'll be fine," he tried to look confident as he turned towards her, "God's watching out for me, y'know?"
It had never seemed as corny a thing to say before tonight. With what had happened to day, it seemed really corny. Almost wrong. But he couldn't stay with her, right? I mean, if she used demons alongside angels... they were probably fallen angels. He turned away, his face flooding with guilt. There were just too many things on his mind right now. And he honestly wasn't sure he'd sleep even if he was in a hotel room. He began walking again.
And he wasn't sure what was so bad about fog. What would it do, cut his visibility? That didn't seem a problem...

Midori reached her hand out before drawing it back. She really didn't know what to say.
"I... don't want you to get hurt," Midori said. "A-And you're sure to get hurt if you go out in the fog at night! They've been finding dead bodies after foggy nights around here!"
Half of this, she was making up. It was mainly lies that happened to be somewhat true. In truth there'd only been one death so far, and they never figured out how the body had gotten up to the top of that cell phone tower. But Midori didn't know that, and so started the lie.

That was a little unsettling, for sure. But maybe it was the work of demons? K2 paused. Komaki was making it rather hard to leave, "Um... I told you I'll be okay," pulled out his COMP and pointed at it, "I've got an angel helping me, I'll be... you know... fine and stuff...."
He wasn't doing a good job at sounding confident. Okay, really he was doing a piss poor job at it. Komaki's words had made him concerned. His back was still turned towards the girl, but he had stopped walking. Maybe if he... "You could come with me, I guess..."
So she used demons. So she didn't care if she used angels or demons. Used. That word left a bad taste in his mouth. He shook his head. If he couldn't get rid of her like this, he could at least prevent her from doing something stupid, right?

Midori seemed practically giddy with joy. And then she glomped K2.
"Thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou~" Midori said happily. The fact was, she hadn't been anywhere with her friends since Nanoha and Chibiusa had brought her back to the hotel. It was nice to have friends. Even if one of them was only bringing her along because she was a pain in the butt.
"If we have to, we can take shifts when it comes to sleeping!" Midori suggested. "We did that all the time in the Lockdown!"

K2's position meant he followed up the glomp with a faceplant. And she had latched himself around his neck, which meant getting up wasn't going to be exactly easy.
"Um... air..." he gasped, suddenly realizing how tight a grip the girl had. He'd managed to get his face off the ground enough to speak, at least.

Midori loosened up a little bit. "Oh. Sorry!" She stood up again. "Eheheheh..."
She grinned. "So where do you want to go, then, K2?"

Kaini drew in some breaths before pushing himself to his feet. This was likely why people found him nuts for wearing white. His shirt looked like he'd faceplanted. Usually he had pretty good balance, but usually girls didn't glomptackle him, either.
"Maybe some place to talk...? I.. I don't really know a lot about the Lockdown. Back home, the news said it was because of poison gas leaks..."
Which it rather obviously wasn't. Oh, the conspiracty theorists back home would be having a field day if they ever learned that. Probably blame it on aliens.

Midori thought about that for a moment.
"Somewhere we can talk...? Hmm... how about a cafe, then?" Midori suggested. She smiled. "Will that work?"
