Mounatin Romp (me, DCH and Gantz)

At the pokeball comment, the girl looked at Tua with a confused look. “What’s a pokeball?” then, after hearing from Miles, the girl nodded, as Enn handed off the map to Miles. “Okay, l-lead on then.”

As the gang continued to walk up the side of the mountain, one could tell Enn was starting to get a little anxious. Maybe he was glad to be on another adventure, maybe he liked traveling to new places, but even so, he was still on another world, and the Guardian Heroes that he knew as his friends probably didn’t even know where he was. He had once adventured without them sure, but still, it would’ve been nice to have people he knew without a shadow of a doubt he could trust, going along with him on this trip.

"Are you gonna act like this around every human you come across?" Kaz asked, looking at Tua. She was the most paranoid creature he ever came across. What are the odds they'd even come across one of these Pokemon trainers that she's so scared of?

Tua made sure to stay near Volcano as the group continued to walk up the mountain path that Miles was digging, shuddering at what she had heard of the Pokemon Trainers. "It's kind of embedded into my brain. Let's just say I had bad experiences with some before." The Blaziken's face was its usual nigh-emotionless look was he walked.

As Miles dug through the rocky ground to create a path, he explained what he knew. "That map is written in a tongue that died out many years ago, though somebody was able to translate it into a modern tongue. The only people I know who can speak it are Skyworld Angels, some scholars, and a select few from my home islands. It doesn't exactly say what happens when all twenty are united, or what they even are, but I do know it involves a great power."

That comment of Miles appeared to catch Enn's attention quickly. The only thing Enn really knew about great power was when he faced off against the High Seraph when it was revealed that it was a selfish being that wanted to brainwash every last warrior on 5th Earth. Could this power be similar?... ... Nah. The High Seraph was completely annihilated when Enn and his heroic friends sent one of the High Seraph's blasts right back at him.

But if that wasn't what Miles meant... What could he have meant?

"Great power?" Leona mused over this a moment. "I wonder what kind of great power that could mean..."

"Okay, I think I get it." Kaz said. His friend Tom felt almost the same way about the Mipedians after that attack on Castle Bohdran. He almost got rid of all of his cards from that tribe for free because he hated them so much.

I wonder how the guys are doing back in Chaotic anyway. He thought.

As Miles dug, he tried to remember more of what he had heard about those relics and shards. They were a little-known subject that very few people knew about, including him. "They say that for each relics, there are four shards that control them, and that the shards tend to be near their location, and that they take on the appearance of where they were found..."

Tua and Volcano walked, not really knowing what to do next.

Somewhere, higher up on the mountain, a shadow Dragonite and a normal Garchomp climbed their own way, looking for something. The Garchomp spoke up. "'Ey, Darknite, I smell three of 'em."

The Dragonite gave an annoyed sound. "Feang, that's the last time you order that for lunch."

(OOC: New policy on posting for this arc; if you can't keep up you get left behind, no questions asked. I really need to speed this thread up to get these characters down to the Arena and Koi River)

[Okay, but who get's the Mountain Shard?]

Enn was only moderately paying attention at this point, lost in his own thoughts and theories, though he was something of a zombie at this point, he still had some brains left.

His thoughts? If they were after this great power, it was a pretty safe bet that they weren't the only ones looking for it.

"I see..." Leona thought a moment upon hearing this. "Well, we'd probably better find this shard then. How much further up do we have to go?"

As Leona asked that question, Enn suddenly had a vague gnawing feeling in his gut... Usually it never came since he was always in a battlefield where the enemy was aware of his presence AND trying to kill him... But this feeling in his gut, it was the undeniable feeling that they were suddenly in danger...

They were not alone on this mountain...

(OOC: I say Enn or Leona. Darknite and Feang are kind of comic relief anyways)

Tua suddenly sniffed the air, sensing somebody that she knew from past missions. Well, to be more precise, two people- err, Pokemon- that had hindered their attempts at regaining the glory they once enjoyed before Tanachu became leader of Team SOS. Namely, a certain Dragonite and a certain Garchomp.

Miles and Volcano also seemed to be sensing something, they might not have as strong a sense of smell as Luxios, but they had a feeling that suddenly their trip up the mountain was about to get a lot rougher. One smelled... just off, and the other reeked of sand and scales. Tua spoke up to the two male Pokemon, an expression of irritation on her face. "Do you two smell who I smell?" she asked, her voice just dripping with annoyance.

The Blaziken merely nodded in response, while the Feraligatr looked to the sky. "Oh, come on. I've had enough of those two to last a thousand lifetimes." He used a Dragon Dance to boost his speed and physical power at the cost of special power, Volcano used a Bulk Up to boost both his physical attributes at the cost of his special, while Tua readied her Intimidate ability to cut their attacker's physical power.

There was a blast of dark light form the sky, followed by a burst of destructive breath form the ground. Darknite and Feang had arrived. Instinctively, the three Pokemon jumped out of the way, waiting for the two pests to come into sight.

Kaz was following behind the rest of the group as they were going up the mountain. All of a sudden, Tua, Miles, and Volcano seemed to be getting ready for something. "What's going on now?" Kaz said, getting his scanner out.

Meanwhile, a long way down the mountain, a man was watching what was going on, with a zoomed in image of the group on a scanner similar to the one Kaz had. "Hmm. What do we have here?" The man said, watching.

((I remember SWL saying that I could bring Klay into this arc. I thought this might be an okay time.))

[Okay, cool! Survey says Enn gets it. He’s a lot tougher then Leona anyways, and I had planned on him serving as her body-guard.]

Leona did the first thing that come to mind…

Namely; scream with fright and hide behind Enn.

Meanwhile the undead man pounded his two fists together. He was more then ready for another fight, having healed up a little from the previous one. He wasn’t healed up completely, but it would suffice. “WHAT WAS THAT?!?!?” Leona screamed in panic. For Enn though, his eyes were focused, ready for what was to come.

[Just waiting for Feang and Darknite to come in.]

A bulky dragon with small wings, colored a dark gray-purple, dove by the three Pokemon, missing the trio by sheer luck. It sent a dark aura into the sky, causing it to rain down bits of a shadowy light. Anyone not aligned to evil would be pelted by it once every few minutes, for a small amount of damage. At last, Darknite flew into view, pure red eyes quite menacing in the darkened atmosphere.

Tua, Miles and Volcano were knocked to their knees by a wind blast generated by a giant claw attached to what was best described as a landshark. It was a Garchomp, a male by the chip in its back fin, and it looked rather hungry. It scraped its two claws together, perhaps to show off the sharpness of them. The three Pokemon noted the black bands on its legs. They swore to themselves in their native tongues, it was Feang.

Just fighting one of them was irritating and draining. They wondered if they would have any sanity and/or power left by the end of the fight. As much as they hated to admit it, Darknite and Feang were both quite powerful.

Enn was momentarily surprised by the appearance of the two dragons… Mometarily.

“RAGH!!!” Feang barely had time to dodge when one of Enn’s fire spells was sent flying in his direction. His reason for attacking so quickly? He saw his new friends reaction to these new arrivals. Fast and powerful, Feang found an armored gloved fist flying right at him, aimed for his face. If he dodged? Good for him. But if he didn’t?

Well… It would be possible that the punch would pile-drive him to the ground, a 1-in-10 chance of making him loose a tooth or two.

Meanwhile, Leona was left defenseless, as her protector charged in. “H-hey!!” Not knowing what else to do, she took off running in the opposite direction, quickly finding a boulder she could hide behind not too far off.

Feang just stood there, leaning forward and crossing his arms over his face, the claws pointed forward... It was like he WANTED Enn to attack him. Why, oh why would he want that? He must have some sort of crazy strategy in mind. The fire attack, while he would admit stung more than he thought it was, was seemingly shrugged off my his high level and resistance to fire. "What's a matter? Scared to hit me full force!?" he taunted, lowering his guard and waiting for the blow to connect.

As Tua, Miles and Volcano got to their feet, they stared down one Shadow Dragonite, while he merely crossed his arms and gave an 'I don't care' look back. "Methinks you're all insane... then again, if you weren't, then this tactic I have in mind would never work." As Miles ran at him with Ice Punch, Volcano with Sky Uppercut, and Tua with Take Down, he merely stepped to the side, nearly sending the three down the mountain with one simple move.

As the Luxio, Feraligatr and Blaziken struggled to regain their balance at the edge, Darknite merely watched the trio struggle, waiting for them to move.

After getting knocked to the ground again, Kaz took a look at the two newcomers. Now these two were obviously villians. If they weren't, this island was weirder than he thought.

If anything, these guys sure know how to make an entrance. He thought. Bringing up the display on his scanner, he selected the Takinom card, and transformed into a female, demonic-looking winged creature.

Now with wings, Kaz/Takinom began flying toward Darknite.

Enn wasn't sure what to make of Feang's sudden arrogance. Taking a closer look at his opponent mid-charge, he did find scales covering the creature's body. Maybe this thing thought that he'd end up scraping his knuckles against his scales?

............

Heh... What an idiot, he was undead! Still Enn decided to be cautious.

If Feang looked arrogant and sure of himself a second ago, he found that face melt away when Enn suddenly changed from his human form directly into the giant undead skeleton form. His human form may have had a powerful punch, but it was made for speed more then anything. Where human form could punch out a tooth, the giant, golden armored skeleton would likely be able to punch out five with a single swing.

"RAAAGH!!!!!"

The fist came flying Feang's way....

WHAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If Enn knew how, he'd let out a self satisfied grin at the fangs that flew out of Feang's mouth at the connected blow.

Leona winced at the scene; she didn't care who Feang was or where he came from...

THAT HAD to hurt.
