The first thing an observer would notice to enter the Industrial Park was a boy. A boy riding atop a floating chair. A boy with an abnormally large head, and a pair of glasses. A boy that was very much missing his epic-cape. The 'M' on his forehead would identify him. Mandark.
He was most likely flanked by Uno, though his eyes were focused forward. He didn't check. He also assumed Dexter was, maybe, behind him. He wasn't sure, and he wasn't going to turn around to find out.
"Computer. Open the front door." He'd actually installed this some time between Chip and them destroying his lab and his creation of Uno.
'Why should I?' The computer's voice jeered. And then it's camera positioned to face the boy. What it saw was a glare that could send shivers down the spine of even Super Man. Shivers aided by kryptonite. Computer didn't know, before that moment, that it had a 'fear' portion in it's personality chip. Now it did.
'Uh... right.' The door 'swhinged' open, Mandark quickly floating inside. The downstairs portion of his lab would suffice. The upstairs portion was where more... private experiments went on. Ergo the cloning of Zero to form Uno.
"And here we are." Before the three was a laboratory much like Mandark's old one. In fact, exactly like that. He'd designed the downstairs lab for familiarity. The red and black hue was comforting, in a sickening way.

Uno was indeed right behind Mandark. And while Mandark wasn't, she was keeping an eye on Dexter. The amount of control she'd had over her programming when Mandark had gotten dark had surprised her. She quickly turned forward again as Mandark began to talk. She couldn't let the other boy know she didn't have full control of her powers. She ducked in behind Mandark and glanced nervously at the kitchen. If Dexter went in there he'd likely see the remains of the robot from earlier. She didn't want to have to explain that.
After all, despite her latent badassery, she still had the confidence issues she had been born with...

"Hmmp. Same bad taste in design as always," Dexter noted offhandedly, in an annoyingly casual tone. "Glad to know some things never change. Now, shall we get down to business?"

Mandark was prepared to, as Dexter put it, get down to business. However, that comment about his design flair struck a nerve, for some reason. Perhaps it was the culmination of a bad day, perhaps he had memories of his parents flash through his mind, perhaps he just thought his lab looked like the personification of epic.
"And how, or where, exactly have you designed YOUR laboratory?"

Uno had proceeded to make faces at the surveilance camera of the computer. So she wasn't really in the conversation right now. But it wasn't as if poor Dexter couldn't already compare the girl to his sister. Now she was pulling the face card. At the moment, she was sticking her tongue out at said surveilance camera and pulling her eyelid down. She didn't know that she only knew the insult thanks to her base programming having been born in Japan.
In an awkward level of hilarity, it probably reminded Dexter of the sibling "rivalry" he and Dee Dee shared. If he could get his mind past that trip it would be pretty clear Uno was acting the sibling to the computer. At least he didn't know about Uno's attempt to crash Computer's systems. The comparisons were already piling up, after all.
She'd lost a few notches on the intimidation scale because of it, though.

Dexter was indeed hit with nostalgia at Uno's behavior. Typical Dee Dee behavior. Mandark programmed her almost perfectly.
It disturbed him a little further, but he shook sense into his head and ignored it.
"My laboratory is in a secret location," Dexter replied to Mandark. Thinking about this, it didn't seem like a bad idea to scope the rest of the island for a good, secret location for his new laboratory. But there was no need for Mandark to learn such details, not at this early stage, at least. "But we have more pressing matters to attend to."

"Right. Indeed we do. Getting right to business-" He was cut off, however, as his computer spoke up.
'Hey, boss, one of the cams picked up something interesting, you want me to-'
"CAMERA? I HAVE NO IDEA OF THE SUBJECT YOU ARE SPEAKING ABOUT." Mandark rushed out.
'But you said, and I quote, when the surveillance cameras pick up something interesting-'
"COMPUTER. SHUTDOWN COMMAND FOUR."
What followed was a 'boooop' noise as his computer's personality chip shut down.
"Right. Anyway. What is known of the creatures?" He questioned, wiping the sweat from his brow before turning to face Dexter again. Because apparently, it was okay to show him his SECRET LAB WITH ALL OF HIS IMPORTANT THINGS, but not his surveillance cameras.
Yeah.

Uno pouted a bit and spun on foot to Mandark, "Can I go upstairs and see what she wanted to show you?"
Well, she'd managed to lose any level of intimidation she had gained... but she'd also managed to seperate herself from Dee Dee again. She had asked for permission. The thing was... Mandark's answer could send her right back into the Dee Dee mode. He'd seen her cry, after all, even if Dexter hadn't.
Heck, at this point she looked cute even if one didn't "like" Dee Dee.

Dexter raised a brow at Mandark and his computer's exchange, then cleared his throat, bringing attention back to him as he brought out his compact.
"Computer," he spoke to it, though still looking at Mandark. "Bring up the information on subject 'Dark Insects.'"
On his command, the device glowed, a compartment opened, and a 3-dimensional hologram popped up, showing them all a diagram of the creature with side notes attached to it. The famaliar female voice began to elaborate.
"Subject: Dark Insect. Once-believed mythological creature said to devour dimensions in swarms." It zoomed in on the insect's stomach. "Creature is made up mostly of unknown substances, but during Dissection A146, evidence of dark matter is left behind in the stomach cavity, broken down upon the insect's death."
Dexter nodded. "I'm left to believe this dark matter is linked with their ability to devour worlds whole. Evidence of their destruction is right here in Void City, where the Hospital used to stand. Thankfully, as was reported to me, a group of heroes managed to destroy that particular nest after evacuating the patients and doctors, but there's hardly a trace of the building left."

Mandark quirked a brow at Uno's request. For the sake of his computer, he decided to respond with a simple shake of his head. Angry virus + Jerk of a computer = BAD. NO. BAD NEWS.
And then Dexter began to relay his information. Not so much 'Dexter' as 'Dexter's computer', but still.
"Intriguing. So Dark Matter is confirmed in this part of the universe..." Mandark trailed off for a moment, pondering.
"I'll check that location a bit later. Is there a particular method to destroying them, or...?"

Uno actually didn't cry, but she pulled of a good pout. Which quite honestly could be worse than a cry. However, she didn't balk it. She took a quick glance towards Dexter and sighed. She didn't want to make Mandark look bad, after all. So she drug her feet over to a chair and ploppped down. She began to stare at her hand. Maybe she just needed practice with that power of hers? She tried to get some data distortion to rise off her fingertips.
All it looked like, however, was that she was trying to stare her hand to death. Yeah, she wasn't having any success. Possibly because part of her was listening to the conversation. She didn't understand a lot of it, but maybe Mandark would explain later. This "dark matter" stuff sounded kind of cool.
(OOC: le gasp!? What's this, an interest in SCIENCE? Way to seperate yourself from who you look like, Uno! XDD)

(XD)
Dexter shook his head. "From those I met who encountered the swarms, traditional means of attack are enough to destroy them. The dark matter in their stomachs break down into nothing once killed." His fingers intertwined in a sagely fashion atop the table. "Obviously, they're weak as individuals, yet their danger increases in larger swarms. They've already spread their fair share of chaos across the island."

"Hm. Dark Matter is a rather dangerous thing to deal with. Our need to... 'destroy' these creatures just increased. How exactly do they release all their built-up energy? Do they primarily eat things, or are there other abilities that they have access to? Can they fire energy beams or something? Because that would be pretty interesting to watch." Mandark mused. For a brief second, an image of HOLY CRAP 325 FOOT TALL Dark Insects firing lasers from their mouths flashed through his mind. It was... interesting.
...now if you'll excuse this author, he has to go write up a few plans for genetically engineering a few insects.

Uno looked around and picked up a pencil. She had officially reached the most bored she could remember being in the short time she'd been alive. She pooked out her lips in a kissy motion and proceeded to balance the pencil on her upper lip. She leaned back on the chair, and it was entirely possible if this continued she'd be hitting her head on the the floor.
After all, it was one of those rolling chairs. Many a person has felt the pain of tipping them back when one isn't supposed to...
(OOC: I have no idea what to do, so expect some random bored Uno posts. XD)

"Hmm... not that I know of. I'm just relating the information I've gathered to you. Obviously, more studying of these creatures is needed."
Dexter stared oddly at Uno. "...watch your head in that chair."
