(OOC: Awesome idea is awesome. I'm all for it. Time paradoxes are FUUUN.)
"...NOOO, I COULDN'T IMAGINE WHY ANYONE WOULD BE TERRIFIED OF THAAAAT. The claws and the open skeleton are SO welcoming." Mandark stated, after a pause. Mr. Copycat's form was... odd, to say the least.
"Have you, perhaps, heard the term 'Fuse'?" He asked. It wasn't so much that he still thought that Fuse's Minions were the same species as Mr. Copycat, but more that he thought the Doppelganger would've at least heard of the entity. Perhaps even worked with him once.
He was doing everything in his power to keep his theory about one large universe over a multiverse.

Well, Dexter and Mandark took it well. Uno? Not so much. As in a high pitched screech that lasted a good five seconds bounced off the walls of Mandark's lab. It was possible that before now the teen hadn't realized the accoustics his lab had. But the way the sound bounced off the walls and glass likely drilled its way into the ears of those there in a most painful fashion.
Those involved should probably be grateful Mr. Copycat didn't look like a Fuse minion. The reaction was bad enough with Uno not knowing Mandark's concern over the entity. Uno clamped her hands over her mouth, "Omigosh I'm sorry! I asked you and then I... sorry!"
Meanwhile, the door to Mandark's chemical room slid open, getting caught about halfway open. The small streams of smoke got larger and darker, and with more room to wander drifted out of the hall. A muffled sound of coffing came from the room.

"...It's fine." Mr. Copycat said to Uno before morphing back to his more friendly human form.
As for Mandark's question, he nodded. "Fuse, oh he's rather despised back at HQ. He's absorbed more than a few planets the HQ had their eyes on. Thankfully, he only exists in one universe that we know of, so we don't have to worry too much about him."
He glanced up at the smoke now pouring into the room from the hallway. "...Could someone go check on Momoko for me?"

Dexter quickly sat up, looking at Mandark in a new light. First, he felt annoyed that he didn't think of the idea of a relation between Fusion and Doppelgangers first. Then, he felt confused as to why it was brought up at all. Then, he felt annoyed again.
Suddenly, he growled, "I thought we were in agreement in the last Fusion Army meeting, Mandark. We are supposed to keep all information about Fuse confidential!"

And now it was Mandark's turn to be confused. Fusion Army meeting? But the war, as Mandark remembered it, had just started. And the only 'meeting' he remembered was the first one, where they discussed plans for attack/survival.
"Well your thought was incorrect. And I'm pretty sure a large, green planet that spouts humanoid, green creatures which take on various forms is a bit complicated to keep concealed."

Uno looked between the two teens as they figuratively compared their egos. She looked over at Mr. Copycat, who seemed rather concerned with the smoke. She stood up and took the wide path so she was going behind Mandark rather than between the epic glaring of the two teens. She quickly headed towards the smoke.
"Momoko?"
Just in time for the door to slide the rest of the way open and the Japanese teenager to step out, coughing as she carefully clutched two vials. Not that anyone could see for the smoke. She carefully pocketed on of the vials in her skirt. She spoke to Uno after doing so.
"I'm fine... I can't say the same for the chemical lab," Momoko replied with a scowl, pushing her way past Uno. She had rather strong opinions about the virus working for a simple biological sentient, but she kept them to herself.
Momoko walked out of the smoke filled hall, her uniform showing that the lab had quite simply exploded. She held one stopper filled with a black solution with off color grey, white, and blue swirls inside of it. It didn't look the least bit safe. As if that wasn't bad enough, it had a metal stopper in it. It wouldn't be hard for Mandark and Dexter to deduce she hadn't used a cork one because the concoction would eat cork.
She ignored the two self proclaimed geniuses and walked over to Mr. Copycat. She held up the vial, "I can't guarantee this will work. It's only scattered pieces of information that allowed me to guess at the proper equations. If it doesn't, it could kill him," her gaze softened a touch before becoming harsher than before, "But he'll die if we just leave him."
She glanced down at Cody. His breathing had gotten more ragged. And Uno... was still in the smoke filled hallway. Which considering the warnings Mr. Copycat had given the group about doppelgangers, wasn't the greatest sign.

Mr. Copycat took the vial, and examined it before climbing to his feet with the aid of his makeshift cane. He smiled. "I'm sorry for all of the trouble we caused everyone with this. Anyways, you two can continue on with your... arguement." He turned to Momoko. "And even if it doesn't work... I appreciate the gesture. I'll probably have to take him back to HQ if it doesn't, though..."
With that, he walked over to Cody, who didn't seem to be doing too well. With some effort, he managed to get Cody to drink the mixture, and waited for his breathing the stabilize. It was a couple seconds before it did, but once it did, the small boy looked quite peaceful.

Dexter gave Mandark a very, very strange look. No matter how much he disliked the jerk, he knew better than that.
This was not the Mandark he knew. Oddly enough, though, Dexter found himself smirking. Maybe it was at the thought that he was about to completely wreak Mandark's theory if dimensional travel.
Wait... savor the moment of genius... and... execute.
"Just when did you come from, Mandark?"

Mandark was about to make a witty remark concerning collateral damage to his laboratory. And then perhaps do something about the smoke, or see if Uno was okay, or something of the sort. However, he was mildly befuddled at Dexter's question. Was he implying the use of time travel? Mandark really didn't want to experience another mind screw today. But, as it stood, curiosity got the best of him, and... well...
"I come from the beginning of the Fuse war. When exactly do you come from?"
Then again, the possibility of this... island effecting the time stream wasn't an entirely bad thing. As anyone who's seen the Dexter's Lab movie will tell you, Mandark's a Future Badass.

Uno, who the author really needs to point out has absolutely no need to breathe and as such is not effected by things like lack of oxygen, stumbled out of the smoke coughing like one would expect a human to. Again, however, she isn't human and has no need to breath. The joys of a sentient virus picking up on human traits.
Momoko gave the softest glare it was likely she had ever given in her entire existance. At least honestly, all other instances were those of pure manipulation of sentients and worlds. This one was real. However, she quickly came out of that little funk as Uno came out of the hall hacking. She opened her mouth, but suddenly looked callous and turned away. If the non-organic partially sentient entity wanted to mimic her appearance in such an idiotic fashion, who was she to interfere? Besides, the conversation Mandark and Dexter were having had piqued her interest, although she wasn't even looking at them.

Mr. Copycat laughed. It sounded like the two were from completely different times. It was nice to have friends. Even if they were just two people whose lab he and Momoko had broken into to save his son.
In any case, he decided to let them continue talking, and Uno continue coughing.

Bingo. Savor the moment a bit more, then...
"...the end of the Fusion War," he answered. "I lied about the confidential part. If you had come from my time, you would've instantly corrected me and insult my intelligence. I suppose this puts a fault in your multi-dimension theory?"

Well that threw him. Quite a bit, actually. There was a brief moment there where his mouth hung open, one finger held into the air as if Mandark were preparing a prophetic statement. None came. Only inaudible sounds of distress. And when he was finally able to speak, he tried to rationalize it. It didn't go so well.
"Well maybe the portal was a time... and maybe it... but... that doesn't..." Mandark reached over to his console, pressing a red button. Computer whirred to life, seeming, i fanything, confused.
"Wha?" Was the first sound to come from the machine's speakers, before it reoriented itself. Really, it was more 'why did you wake me up so soon?' than 'where am I?'.
"Computer, I require a cup of warm liquid."
"Tea?"
"That will work to perfection, yes." A pause, and a mechanical arm dropped the aforementioned liquid before him. Mandark didn't drink it yet, however. It came after the Big No.
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I WAS SO CERTAIN! IT'S NOT POSSIBLE FOR ME TO BE WRONG, I'M... I'M MANDARK!" Once his small rant was finished, he took on a more calm expression, drinking his tea.
"Quite. I expect to be paid for the damage to my laboratory." Mandark stated, turning a quick glance at Momoko.
"Sorry I missed a chance to insult your intelligence, in that case." He wasn't ignoring Uno, per se. Nor had this author completely forgotten about her, cough. But as it stood, his day was at the lowest point it could reach, and Uno's mimicking cough really couldn't make it any worse.

Momoko somewhat calmly put her hands over her ears as Mandark shouted. If she had picked up on the relationship between the two teens right, Mandark had picked the wrong reaction. Dexter would be gloating something fierce. Uno stumbled to one of the chairs in the lab and sat down, drawing in a few deep and still unnecessary breaths before glaring at Dexter.
"If you had a point to make you should have just made it. Anyone ever tell you you're a jerk?" Uno asked of Dexter with a slightly annoyed glance in his direction.
Momoko seemed interested in Uno's reaction. It was a bit darker than what she had seen so far. Not by much, but it seemed almost a different personality. She refused to involve herself with the sentient's troubles by asking a question of Mandark, but it seemed Uno's personality was still in the process of forming, and bouncing around a bit. She seemed to feed off her environment, Mandark in particular.
Momoko seemed to have chosen to ignore Mandark's statement about paying for damages. She actually had a bit of interest in seeing him try to make her. He thought it was damaged now?
